Macro For Automatically Sorting Table With Respect To Particular Column?

I have a table of 5 columns (each of 50 length) that is automatically refreshed (i am getting the data from web)after an interval of 5 minutes. I want the first column to be sorted alphabetically after every 'refresh' command, that has been executed by the excel. i have tried recording the macro and then running it on keystroke of 'ctrl + m'...the table surely gets sorted out but i can't be pressing ctrl+m every 5 minutes. auto-sort that is required to be executed after the auto refresh command..

I'm trying to determine the age of a value in respect to a table of columns and just cannot seem to nail it - perhaps it's my logic .

I have a balance (in this case, 775), I need to determine where it sits within the table.
For example, if my balance is less than a year, retun "1 year less". If it's greater than the one year, but less than 2, return "1 year old"; if it's greater than 2 years but less than 3, return "2 years old". I need to do this all the way until it's greater than 5 years.
I guess it's an IF statement, but my calculations keep churnin out 2 years, when in fact, we can clearly see it's 3 years (because it's greater than the 2 year value).

I need to create a function that numbers rows with respect to data groups in a column (column labeled "Type" in this example). The result would be that shown in column A in this table.

Basically i have 2 tables like the ones below:

Now i want the total column in the second table to update and add the numbers as i update the rounds in the first one Which i can do through SUM or SUBTOTAL. However i want to sort the total column so the highest number is at the top and everytime i do it changes the name column not the total column.

In my example file are 4 columns. I placed auto filter to columns B and C. If column B sorted to ascending then this changes formulas in column D. I attached workbook also to understand my problem. If you try to sort column B to ascending you will see the problem in column D

I have a pivot table with multiple row fields and multiple column fields. One of the column fields is a Date and I need some VBA that will auto-sort the columns into ascending order by the Date column field.
E.g., if the first four column labels are "2-Jun-2010, 13-May-2009, 16-May-2013, 17-May-2012" then i want the sort to arrange them as "13-May-2009, 2-Jun-2010, 17-May-2012, 16-May-2013".
Note: This is the left to right order of the columns i'm talking about, not the top to bottom order of the rows, or the data in the rows but specifically the column labels.
I've tried googling a solution and I can find a variety of code that deals with sorting the data in the rows in all sorts of ways, but nothing on how to order the columns.
i'm using excel 07, and the source data for the pivot table has the Date field formatted as custom "dd-mmm-yyyy". This can be changed if necessary.

I used the macros found at http://www.contextures.com/xlSort02.html to sort columns. This solution works fine, the invisible rectangle is really good to my interests. Here's how it works: macro #1 creates invisible rectangles at the top of the columns used, at row 1 where the headers are, and assigns a second macro to the rectangles. This second macro sorts the data table based on the column whose rectangle is clicked. The problem is that this solution is for data tables, it sorts the entire table and I want to sort the one, single and only column where I click the invisible rectangle.

I'm having an issue where I have a macro (see attached file) that is supposed to auto-fill and sort. Twhen it tries to run the auto-fill on a sheet in its blank/template state. It will take my formulas in columns AC:AZ and fill them up to the header row.

I have a Pivot Table feeding a chart that needs specific formatting
However, after a Pivot Table refresh, the chart loses any custom formatting and returns to the default formatting.
(I know I can create custom user-defined charts but I don't want to do that here)
What I would like to happen is for a (chart formatting) macro to automatically run after a pivot table refesh occurs. It should only occur on the one worksheet that contains the Pivot Table and associated chart and should run the macro after a refresh REGARDLESS of whether the data within the table was updated or not.

I currently have an excel file set up which is refreshing imported data every minute from a server. This data is located on " sheet 1".
This data is the result of another system constantly monitoring (pulling data from) the process at my factory. It consists of temperatures, speeds and other settings.
When a temperature, speed or setting changes then it will be captured by the monitoring system and therefore my excel sheet will load it into the imported data within the next minute.
I would like to be able to capture the change in temperature, for example, if it goes into alarm and automatically send an email reporting this alarm. This alarm is captured in my imported data in a specific column with a 1. If it is out of alarm it is 0. There will not be a report of an item, at any one time, with both a 0 or 1... so there is only one case of any one monitored process.
I have a pivot table set up to filter all the uneeded data out and I currently refresh it manually to show the current status of all alarms. If an alarm occurs on the process, I can refresh my pivot table and it will be indicated with a 1 until it is refreshed again (and the alarm is gone).
So the question:
1. How can I refresh the pivot table automatically every x seconds?
2. How can I automatically send an email on the value change from 0 to 1 in case of an alarm?

Suppose I have the following plan number (24) and I wan't to spread it across 12 columns, as evenly as possible but with respect to rounding.
Easy enough.. Each column receives 2...
Or say the figure was 24.6 and i wanted to round to 2 places...

Or say the figure was 24.7 and i wanted to round to 2 places...
Easy enough... Each column receives 2.05... But one would be 2.06!
How about the number is 1 and say, the rounding is 0.1?
Ten of the columns would be .1 while two others (arbitrarily) would be 0.

I have information in columns A (First name),B (Last name), C (Misc), D (misc). Is there a way that someone can enter in new information at the bottom of the list and it will automatically sort by the last name once saved or closed ect.. ? I have people not very familiar with Excel and the keep messing up inserting rows and I don't want them to sort. If they could just enter information at the bottom and save it, then when someone opens it to just view it, it will be in order.

On the data sheet I attached you can see easily what I am trying to do:
The macro should do something like this basically:
Column A there is a entry like "L110E (CST_PRG-Wheel Loaders-E series models)"
Lets say we have 10.000 entries more or less like this.
Macro should do this:
* Take first word for example in this case "L110E" and copy into column D same row.
* Take second word's second part in this case only "PRG" and copy into column B same row.
* Take the 3rd word between - - in this case only "Wheel Loaders" and copy into column C.

I have a dorm roster on one sheet and the other sheet is an Alpha Roster. I want it to automatically sort alphabetically (column B) . Any time I change the roster, the Alpha Roster sheet doesn't automatically sort, I have to hilight and re-sort it again.
I updated the file, there are 4 tabs at the bottom. 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, and 3rd Floor. I want to have all the names, room numbers, and phases (ph) in alphabetical order on the Alpha roster tab. And when ever I make changes to one of the Floors, it will automatically update it the Alpha Roster.

I have a table of data which I need to put in numerical order automatically (i.e. as if I were to use a formula in excel).
The table is located in cells Z157:Z264, and I would like the results to be output in cells Z45:Z152.
I know you can do this manually using the "Data" > "Sort" tool in excel but I could do with a formula for it really.

I have a worksheet that contains multiple task lists, each having two columns, a "Priority" field and a "Description" field. The data should be sorted by Priority first and by Description second. The header row is 5 and the data is in rows 6 through 50. The first list is in A5:B50, the second C5:D50, and so on until the sixth list in K5:L50. I have a macro that works for one task list, but cannot get it to function for multiple task lists. Below is the macro that functions for the first task list. It is in the code for the sheet tab.

I am trying to create a macro where users can rearange data in a table. I used the macro recorder to sort the data in colmn C in descending order and this is the code that I got:

This works for the table as it is but the range may change as more rows are added to the table. I want it to start at row three as the first two rows are headers but in future tables the bottom row may not be 176. I dont want to include all rows as row 177 contains totals that I dont want to be included in the sort. what I should put as the range so that this macro will work regardless of how many rows are in the table?

I have managed to produce a table which uses formulas to calculate the amount of 'points' someone/a team has accumulated over a period of time however it seems that for some reason or another I cannot sort the table into order of 'who has the most points'

above is the final standings but as you can see the 'sort' function isnt working, and if i do any other sort the name of the person and the points no longer correspond... i.e. it ends up putting the names in alphabetical order and leaving all other columns as they currently are, or it changes the points column, leaving the names in the same place...

I've just come across Excel doing seemingly doing something really rather daft - though it equally could be me. I've grouped dates in a pivot table to 7 days at a time to group weeks, but when I then sort by date order it sorts by all those ranges starting with a 1st of the month, followed by all the 2nd's, etc.

Trying to format a pre-formated table. Would like to have all records for each item on one line so to be able to create a regular table and then a pivot table from it.
Pre-formatted table is attached as Samplesort1.xls.
I do not have SQL.

Is it possible to have dynamic sorting in a table?
What I am after is a scoreboard type effect where as results are entered, the teams are sorted automatically, rather than entering all of the details and then doing a sort afterwards.
I have attached a table where I would like the sorting of columns B - E done in the following order (All decreasing order):
Comp Points first
then by Sets %
then by Points %
I am drawing this info from another table. Will this have an effect on if it can be sorted dynamically? Hoping that as i enter a result in the other table, it will bring across the current comp points, set % and points %, and then sort the table into the rankings all at once.

I have created a pivot table that contains the following data:
Country Name
Date as in 5/1/08, 6/1/08, etc
With counts in the cells
I can sort on Country name and get an alphabethical list by country name showing teh numbers for each date
However I want to sort by the largest to smallest number that shows in the date column 01/01/08
Is there a way to sort on that colum-while moveing all the numbers in the other date columns along with it?
