I have already seen that the tab strip doesn't seem to toggle b/t pages, as a frame I placed remained on both "tabs" (I am wondering what it does if you can't toggle).
Is it possible to Change Start Page Of Multi Page UserForm Based on 8 CommandButtons. on a WorkSheet, for example.

Could I use 1 multipage UserForm Instead of 8 UserFoms. Is it better to use 1 multipage UserForm with 8 pages or 8 UserForms. I dont know if this make sense or not?
Can i have the caption of a multi-page tab caption change on the result a given cell?
i.e. in the attached example i would like page 1 to be the result of B2.
I have a MultiPage userform and I'm adding (4) control buttons - CancelButton, BackButton, ForwardButton and FinishButton. On the first page, those names are fine but when I get to subsequent pages, I get an ambiguous error if I try to name the controls the same. But the code will all be the same. What am I missing? In an example that I have, the user was able to name all the controls with the same name. What setting would control that?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got a userform with multiple pages, and in my userform initialize sub I set the focus to "combobox1" on "page1". When a user is on page2 of the form and clicks my "ClearData" button, which calls the initialize event, I get a run time error 2110 - "Can't move focus... etc" I would like users to have the ability to clear the form and start over no matter what page they are on.
View 8 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to build an app that'll take a user through 5 or 6 steps of a process, with maybe 2-3 substeps in some steps. right now i'm currently using a multipage Userform , but all the tabs make the whole thing look cluttered (even when there's a "Next" button in plain sight). this is especially because i've put each substep as a multipage form under that step's page (multipage forms inside a multipage form). so steps 1-5 would each have their own pages (1-5), then in page 1 you'd have another multipage form (1.a. - 1.c.). is there a way to make it look simpler? i'd like it to look a bit like a Wizard (ie remove all the tabs), but the only way i can think of is to throw a whole heap of controls on one page, and turn them visible/invisible each step of the way.

What I am wanting is for a series of events to happen based on what page the user chooses from the four (like a userform initialize type event).
Have very recently been upgraded to Windows 7 with Excel 2010 at work. On printing out a 10 page doucment, (all of which are landscape format), when vewing print preview, the first page is previewed as landsacpe, but subsequent pages are portrait.
If you change format of 2nd page to landscape all subsequent pages switch to landscape.
Have looked at a similar format document created last month and it behaves exactly the same. Whole document landscape but on print preview only first page is...
Whats the VBA code for transfering selections on a multi select list box to a page.
ex. the list box has selections from 1 to 20 and I want to select 3,4, and 5
then on the page I want it to say 3,4,5
When I view a sheet under Page Break Preview, it shows the Page numbers in the centre of the Page. While I am aware that it would not print the page number I was wondering if there is an option to remove/hide the page numbers.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a listbox with 8 columns. Multiselect is enabled, and it must stay this way. As part of my program, after the user presses a command button, I need to use the row indexes of the selected rows in order to copy the selected information into an array which is then placed in a different listbox, and then delete the items from the original list. Pseudocode of what I want to do:

But my understanding is that .ListIndex does not work this way with multiselect listboxes. I've tried searching for a solution for a while, but I cannot find one.

how to strip the time from a date formated field using "=INT()". At the moment this works fine for me but I wonder if there is a possibility to strip the day form the datefield as well.

I have a spreadsheet which has a "User Description" column. In this column, most users have data that looks similar to this:
APPLICATION - john.smith@mycompany.com
APPWEB - jane-doe@somecompany.com
APPWEB - john_doe@othercompany.com

APP/APPWeb/DEV - paulsm@thecompany.com
There are also cells in this column which literally have a sentence long description, but those are not my focus. What I need to do is find a way to strip out the e-mail address found in the examples above and copy them into a new cell (the same row for the corresponding user). I don't know where to begin for this.

I assume I can use FIND and then LEFT, but how to I put this into a Macro?
I have a problem with a spreadsheet my colleague at work has designed. He has entered all the names into it as Mrs A Jones, Mr P Smith, Mrs S Pilkington-Smyth etc. I need to sort these into Alpha order using just the surname. macro or a formula to count backwards until I get a space and then strip this off to allow me to sort it.

I used the =INT(A1) to strip the time off. Worked wonderfully. However when I need to sort by ascending/descending date , it does not put in order due to this extra space. Is there a formula out there that I can use to delete the space? All of the data doesnt appear this way. I am sure it is due to the conversion.
I want to strip only the leading set of numbers from a string. Trailing numbers should stay.

I need VBA to remove more than 3 blank spaces after the city & replace them with a comma & one blank. For example:
All in one column AB starting with row 7 I have:

Is there an Excel function that can strip a specificed unwanted character from a text string to leave all the other characters excluding the unwanted one?
e.g. if the original text strings were (in separate cells within a workbook):
C-2C-9C-9-XA-10A-10-BA-10-XA-8N-7-D
The function would strip the "-" to leave:

I have one hundred rows of data and within that there are some records which are the same and they will always be in pairs - identifiable by a cell with the same ref common to both records. how to strip out the records that are not part of a pair? I would like remove all of the non pairs and move them to another sheet.

I am testing without an internet connection and the run time error is not being branched off to the error handler and is fatally ending the macro. This is true also if I raise an error manually.
