how put picture into cell as background. it means, after it's done, if i click on cell, i must be able write into cell like before change. i dont want solution through comments or shapes because picture will be on top of cell. and not as background

Macro: Variated Background Picture

My macro generates some graph from some datas. Datas are in some range and when I filtering it shows only filtered values. I use Fixed axis (min and max) because if I use Auto it fit data to the window.

My problem is: I would like to use Auto axis because my layout would be better but bacground picture remains the same and it's useless. Background picture should change as I change filters.

With Auto axis I get 2. (blue B and green D are filtered results)

And I would like to have 3.

Is it possible that background picture variate as datas variates?

how to correct the tiling of a picture set as a background on a worksheet? It would appear to start tiling at b2 rather than a1. the bottom of the picture starts on row 1 and the top of the picture then begins row 2. also column a shows the far right side of the picture and column b shows the start of the left side.

This spreadsheet is being used as a pro forma invoice that can be emailed to customers for them to view & print as required.

At the moment I can add a background image but this appears throughout the sheet and not in the place I need it to i.e. the print area.

Create Excel Shape From MapInfo *OR* Make Picture Background Transparent?

I'm trying to make a map of 14 regions where each region changes brightness depending on values in the worksheets. I think I've got this bit sorted. I'm planning on creating the map using a collection of tessellated shapes or images, and using VBA to alter the properties of each one to create a dynamic map.

The output of the individual maps from MapInfo, our GIS software, is in .png or .jpg. format, and come with a white background. Is there any way to either make the background transparent so multiple shapes can be tessellated effectively, or a way to crop the image to the area's border?

Either that, or does someone know a way to output from MapInfo in such a way to make this possible? (Granted, it's a long shot, but you can't blame a guy for trying...)

I am working on a workbook with 200+ sheets and an index linking to each of the sheets. On the sheets there is a cell containing the results of calculations and I need the cell referencing the sheet in the index to change background colors depending if the calculations value is greater or less than 0. I currently have working code that also changes the tab color of each sheet depending on the value, but i am trying to add the index cell background change functionality into that. also, the index listings is subject to change. my working code is

I keep getting the runtime error '1004: application-defined error or object-defined error the thing is, i ran the cell background changing code in a normal macro before integrating it in my other worksheet code first and it worked fine. I have a little code experience, though not much in vba and I am unsure what the issue is. if there is another better way to accomplish what I'm tring to do, that would also be fine.

Excel 2007 :: VBA - Place Formula X On Sheet Y In Cell Z?

Excel 2007 I have 80 very similar sheets. The only difference is the sheet name (Phase A (1), Phase A (2) etc.). I want the formula located in cell B5 to be different on every sheet.

I have listed the desired formulas on a single seperate worksheet, named "Overview". On this sheet, the following columns have these data in them:
A - Sheetname (example: Phase A (1), Phase A (2) etc.)
B - Cell location (example B5, constant)

C - A formula (example: =Sheet1!G47, =Sheet1!G48, etc.)

I would like to create a macro that will loop through all the sheets, doing the following:
1. Check if the sheetname exists in column A of the Overview sheet
2. If it does, take the formula from column C of the Overview sheet
3. And put it in the cell specified in column B of the Overview sheet

Here is some code, to illustrate the above. I know the code is mostly nonsensical.

My question is why cant I use VLOOKUP instead of IF in the named formula. When I use it it comes with an error.

I want to paste/show a photo in a particular cell (D2) on a worksheet (called PP). I wish to delete any photo that may already be there in D2.

The picture's name (e.g. J-145.jpg) will be found in another sheet (called MP) in cell H1.

My pictures are stored in a folder (lets call it c:pictures) and the one I want has the same name (J-145.jpg).

I have a small jpg file of our company logo, and I think that it would be a nice touch for it to be the background to our spreadsheet. How To Copy Sheet And Place After Original

I need to copy the sheet being worked on, and place it behind the original sheet.

This is going to be in a Macro enabled template that other users will be rename when they save it.

It will be activated by a button on the original worksheet other users may need to rename the worksheet before copying so I am using ActiveSheet.Copy I don't want to put the sheet after a counted sheet, because other sheets may be inserted before the one being worked on. I am not proficient at VB, I basically search for a macro that does what I need and copy it.

I have two sheets. Sheet1 has data that I want to look at in range A1:B7; Sheet2 has column titles waiting on data from Sheet1. If one of the column titles on Sheet2 is "Mike," I need to look for all "Mikes" from A1:B7 and pull the data automatically onto the other sheet. I apologize if confusing, but I tried as best I could to describe it. I have attached a small file for guidance. Using the attached file, take "Mike" for example. Under his name on Sheet 2, cell A2 would display 300, then cell A3 would display 1,000.
