Sumif(range,30,sum Range) Not Summing Values That Equal 0

I have a simple sumif formula that says =SUMIF(W61:W112,"<30",J61:J112). In column W, there are values ranging from 0 to 5000. If the formula is written like it is above, it excludes summing values from column J when the cell in column W equals 0. Why is this? I can just add another function that says sumif "=0", but I don't think I should have to.

Formula- To Pull Cell Values Similar To A SUMIF Function (SUMIF(range,criteria,sum_range))

I am trying to pull cell values similar to a SUMIF function (SUMIF(range,criteria,sum_range)). For example, in A1 I use a data list created from data elsewhere on the spreadsheet. In the data I created elsewhere, there are 2 columns being used. The 1st column is the information that is being used to create the list and the second column contains specific values (number or text). In the dropdown menu I select an available value (text or number) . When I have selected that value I would like cell A2 to show what the cell directly to the right of it shows from the data I have elsewhere in the spreadsheet as mentioned. I have tried the SUMIF function however it seems to exclude certain values (number or text) and I am not sure what else to use.

Summing Certain Values In A Range Which Have Different Units

I have three columns. Lets assume i have One header row and 3 rows of actual data and the 4th row is for totaling column B values.

Column A is a col of "Ingredients", column B is the amount of the ingredient (from col A) used. The value is either in Oz or Lbs. Can be either. Column C is a yes or no column. If the value is Yes then i want to have the value in col-B included in my overall sum which is in the 4th row. If the value is No then i do not want the value in col-b (in that row) included in the overall sum.

Any ideas on how to do this?

I have the following code with uses a cell color to count the number of cells in a range with the same cell color:

Function CountColor (rng As Range, color as Range) As Long

CountColor = CountColor +1
End If
Next
End Function

What I would like is instead of just counting and returning the number of cells of the same color, is for the code to return the sum of the values in the cells of the same colors. Cells being evaluated contain numbers from 1 to 300.

Separating A Range Of Values Into Equal Sum Groups?

Is it possible to separate a range of cells with numerical values into "n" groups that have equal (or as close to equal as possible) total sums?

Ex. The range A1:A30 includes 30 random numbers between 1 and 12 (obviously there are duplicates). I need excel to auto-generate 6 groups of 5 cells each with each group having the same (again, as close as possible) total sum. Preferably, I'd like the numbers in each group to be similar from top to bottom, but I'm not overly concerned about that.

SUMIF Last (3) Entries In A Range Rather Than Entire Range

I'm looking to build a football data sheet on matches played with a column that adds up the last 3 match goals for the team in that row. I've only managed to get as far as adding up all goals for a team in a static date range using SUMIF. I imagine this is more complex and requires some kind of changing sum range that's relative to the cell I'm in.

I'm intermediate at best so any array formulas and VB script would preferred to be avoided if possible.

in the watered down example below, I'd like to add up all home team goals for Hereford in the last 3 matches, therefore excluding the game on the 10th (row 1) giving a total of 5. I'd like this formula to copy down from a13 to future matches and therefore update. So the next week's match will add goals for hereford from e13,e11,e8 but exclude e2, e5. Yes you've guessed it... I'm trying to work out recent team form to predict match outcomes for financial gain...

Selecting A Range And Then Summing That Range

I am trying to select a range of numbers based on an active cell. I then want to sum those numbers and have that total reported to a specific cell.

For example:

Say I have a column with a list of dates (Jan/04 thru July/06). I want the user to be able to click on any given field and have that field plus the 11 fields above it summed and reported. Any help?

I came up with something like

ActiveCell.Resize(12, 1).Select

This only selects the data from the active cell and goes down...I need the opposite. I need it to select the 11 cells above the active cell (plus the active cell) and sum that data.

Summing 3D Range According To Sheetname

I have a set of 50 large spreadsheets each with the same size and structure.

I have a summary sheet which contains cells that each contain a single-cell 3D range across all the sheets.

But I'd like to modify this summary sheet to find a way of summing a subset of the 50 sheets according to a given criteria.

I imagine this could be a single criteria added to one cell in each of the 50 sheets.

Or perhaps it could be a letter in each sheet's name. eg, if the letters used as criteria are say G, P and S, I would name the sheets something like G1, P2, G3, S4, P5, ....S49, G50.

Perhaps this could be achieved with the indirect function or will it be necessary to resort to VBA?

VBA ListBox - If Range Is Equal To One Of The Selected

I have a spreadsheet with names of students, year groups, subjects and others. My VBA code will analyse student's results, but before I get there I would like the user to be able to select groups of students using listboxes.

Now I have a tonne of variables that I won't bore you with but the main thing I would like to do is to scan through each cell in a range on my spreadsheet and determine if the value of that cell is equal to a selected option in the listbox. This will let me, for example, filter by only Year 10 students, or select to display only Year 9 and 11 students.

I already have the code to scan through each cell:

VB:
'Run through each student and check they match the criteria
For N = 1 To StudentList.ListCount

'Split the first and second names
StudentName = Split(StudentList.List(N - 1))

Essentially, I would like to take the cell "A" & N2 and check to see if it matches one of the selected options in a listbox called "YearList"

Basically each input should be a matrix and the first one really is. However the other two are not and look unfamiliar to me.

I am trying to search a column for specific values.... if the cells in the column equal X, Y, or Z then I want to keep them. Anything else, should be deleted....and not just the cell the entire row that it is in.

So I'd like it to search column E for a number of different values, if equal keep the data. If not (say E6 is not any of those values) then delete that row (all of row 6)

Sheet 1 is a table, sheet 2 is the source data. On sheet 2 the source data, are two columns. Column A has a range of codes , column B has a range of dollar values. Each code has a different corresponding dollar value.

I then have a value in cell h1. what i need to do is find all numbers that equal to 9 in the range a1:f500 and replace all these 9's with the formula =$h$1 so that i can simply change the values in the range a1:f500 by changing the value to say 12 in cell h1. could someone please text me the vba code that needs to be entered for sheet 1?

Summing First 5 Numbers In Range With Conditions?

I have a spreadsheet which has data in rows. I need to sum the first 5 values from the left of the range which are greater than zero. BUT if there are less than 5 non zero values present I want to sum from the right of the range.

First condition:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
The function would return: 1+2+3+4+5 = 15

Second condition:
0 0 0 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
Function would return: 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 30

Third condition:
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 8 9 10
The function would return: 10 + 9 + 8 = 27

I have had success with:
=B4+SUM(SMALL(IF(I4:O4<>0,I4:O4),ROW(1:5)))
(using ctrl shift enter)
BUT it crashes when faced with the third condition.

I would also like to avoid ctrl-shift-enter functions if I can as I don't have much success copying them around the spreadsheet.

I'm working on a worksheet that has dates in one column (column A), and numbers in another column (column B). What I'm looking to do, is look through all of column A, find all entries between a certain date (ie Nov 1 07 - Nov 30 07), and sum all the values in column B that correspond those fields, as long as the value is greater than zero or not blank.

So, for example,

I have to work on a sheet where the value in the cells is from a call to the GETPIVOTDATA() function. This may return #REF depending on the data. I need to sum a range of such cells treating a #REF value as zero. In another part of this sheet this is done by {=SUM(IF(ISERROR(D6:D17),0,D6:D17))} but as soon as I go to edit the formula the {} disappear and the formula wont work if I edit it. Putting the {} back in manually doesn't work either. How can I repeat what has been done before. (The sheet was originally created by consultants who have long gone and I have inherited it!)

I want excel to multiple the values in a specific range.

For example:

I will give 2 dates: MAR 2006 and MAR 2007. Excel should multiple the value 0,76 and 0,71. It's simples because is 2 months. But I have a lot of months (2006 until 2009).

So I would give MAR 2006 and MAR 2009 and excel should multiple the values from MAR 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. All the values in the range, but only for March.

The month will never change between the first and the last date.

I think on using VLOOKUP. Then I have the first value and the last one. But how can I tell excel to multiple the range?

The ideal will be a VLOOKUP that returns the ADDRESS of the cell, not the value. But I didn't see this possibility.

I have a very big range of data from B4, to a variable other end from which I would like to delete all entries equal to 0.0000 leaving just those with an entered value.

I guess it's just an if question cycling through the rows and columns? Slight complication is it's on the 3rd sheet of a Workbook, as set out in the sample file.

After this manipulation has been done, I then wish to copy the data from the range B4: end of data into the same cells in the output sheet.

VBA Code For Summing Of Selected Range Of Cells

I often find myself in the following situation - I will highlight a range of numbers to see what the sum is in the bottom right hand corner (the cells which I select areoften not all within the same column or are not consecutively listed under each other) .Depending on the circumstances I will then type out a SUM formula with the range to put that value somewhere in the spreadsheet - the problem being that I have to deselect the cells and then re-select these within the formula. When I have selected many numbers, it is not always easy to remember every number which I included.

As a way to remember the numbers, I format those cells in a certain colour before I do the SUM formula and would then include only those coloured cells in the formula. I would like to avoid this extra bit of work.

I am new to VBA but would like some form of code that allows me sum the contents of a selected range and paste that formula beneath the last value in the range - the range would have been selected before running the maco.
