I have 68 cells per sheet and approximately 70 sheets that i need to change to an array function.
Ive changed the formula used using Find and replace but now I need to convert ALL those cells to array.
Is there something I can use to change them all at once. Or am i going to have to go into each cell and F2 CTRL SHFT ENTER?
I am having a ton of trouble with this. I am trying to add a single text row in between existing data. I have tried multiple loops to try to place an array into Column G, but I cannot figure it out. Is there some coding that will produce the sort of result below in column G?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to find compare the value in one cell with an array of cells. My problem is when I try to carry the formula down to the next line - my array changes as well. For example:

So, if Before is Column A and After is Column G, the formula I have right now is =INDEX(A2:A3349,MATCH(G2,A2:A3349,0)). When I try carry the formula down to G3, G4 and so on, the array changes as well.
How to do INDEX MATCH ARRAYS. (to populate my report I need to match multiple rows and columns from source sheet to import data).
Now I am trying to replicate same in VBA. (for this example row1&2 & column1&2 on both seed(source) and result(one I am trying to populate) sheets).
I wrote the code below that works just fine for 1 CELL.

I know in excel I can simply drag the formula across rows/columns to populate them automatically and the way I would do this in VBA would be by creating loops.

In the First Unique column (column C) I have formulas. In C2 I have this formula (and then I copied it down):

In cell E2, I have this formula to count unique occurrences:

I'd like to search for a specific value like (1) in an array of cells like (A:A). The result needs to be the average number of a different column (B:B) in the same row as the searched value (1). And the resulting number should be rounded up to the nearest 10.
Example below: (Find value = 1 in A:A) ... 1 is found 4 times.

In the example above there are 4 (1's) found. By adding all the values in column (B) of the same row, we get 295+400+354+400 = 1449, dividing that in 4, the average is 362.25, rounding that up to the nearest 10... THE RESULT I'M LOOKING FOR IS: 370
I have a Column of Numbers that i need to change to this format 000-000-00, except i can't use the Format Cells option. Most of the number are eight long but some six and five long. For example:
30025141 needs to change to 300-251-41
109241 needs to change to 001-092-41
80493 needs to change to 000-804-93
The problems is i can't do it manually because there over 12000 numbers to change, so i need a vba code to do this.
I have a worksheet, where i type in the id of a member and its uses vlookup to search that member, i enter all the other data required. I am designing a library system and need to record a loan. I have code off another thread that "Copy Cell On Each Change To Next Blank Cell In Column" The problem with this is that when i implement it in my system i change the id cell and that changes the member but when i changes the ranges in the code it doesn't recognise a change has been made, because of vloookup. The code below will put "Some text" into column B when data is pasted into column D. This only works when copying data into one cell. If I copy into multiple cells of column D then the code does not run at all.

I'm trying to run a macro anytime cells G2, J2, M2, O2, P2, S2, V2, Y2, AB2, AE2, AH2, AK2, AN2, AQ2 change.
Right now I have the below code which is working well, but I only have it set for G2. Do you know what the notation is to make the target range multiple cells?
Also, I use the xlDown command in my sorting code, but later on it reverts back to "A5:AT60"... is there any way I can remove these specific cell references? I want to avoid having to re-write the macro every time my selection shrinks or expands.

The above code does not work of course and falls over. I am unsure whether I should try and concatenate with something like this eg "" & arrName(i) = Cells (r,c) or go down a different route.
I have tried to go around the long way to achieve this but came up with pages of pointless code .... I know there is a better way I just dont know enough about VB to do it myself ... And I know this is EASY for many :-)

Cell ranges h11 to as11 are a totals row.
If the total is 0, colorindex is set to vbpatternnone, if >= 1, then colorindex is set to vbpatterngray. Easy right ? I just dont kn ow how to do FROM/IF/DO range loops...

The code in worksheet_SelectionChange will contain the following:
1: From range h11 to as11, variable1 = application.interior.colorindex of the cell.
2: Check if the cell is >=1 or <=0 ....
3: If >=1 then set application.interior.colorindex = vbpatterngray. Go to #5.

Through VBA is it possible to give a range of cells that should be converted to array formulas? As part of my macro I am copying a sheet from one book to another. This sheet contains a lot of formulas and so as not to keep the reference of the old book I find and replace "=" with "#" and then swap them back after the move. This works fine for all normal formulas but not the Array formulas.
If someone could tell me how to give and range and convert them all to arrays or can think of a better method of moving a sheet from one book to another without the formulas keeping the references to old book.
I need to multiply an array of logical results ( returned as {1,0,0,0,1,0 et.}) with a text array (a reference column) and return the text in the reference column in case the value in the logical array is 1.

i have this code which looks in a folder and moves all .csv files from folder into workbook. The code uses an Array.
If the code does not find a file in the folder (from the array) it returns an error. How can i modify this so that (if a file is not found from the array) then the code still continues without generating errors?

The base formula (for W1) is:

What I want, is the formula which instead of "W1" will write the sheet name which is in a row 5 (basically - cell name which is equal the sheet name), so with just dragging and moving the formula I will got the data from different sheets.

But I got #N/D! as in the example, instead of the numbers (yes, I put numbers into W1 and W2 sheets .
I have a workbook that uses the values that a user had entered into 3 cells to calculate multiple other charts/diagrams on multiple sheets within the workbook. Each sheet would show what the user had entered in the 3 cells to allow them to see what is being used to calculate each table. Is it possible to link these cells so that the user can change the 3 values without having to go back to where he originally entered the 3 values?
For example, a user has entered in 3 values in Sheet 1. A formula in Sheet 2 displays what is entered by the user and uses these calls in Sheet 2 for calculations. When the user wants to change the three values, he would have to navigate to Sheet 1 and enter in the new values to have the workbook recalculate all the tables. Is there a way to link the three cells from Sheet 1 and Sheet 2 so when the user is on Sheet 2, he has the opportunity to change the values on the current Sheet without having to navigate to Sheet 1 to do so?
