I need a formula that will look at cell A1 and compare it against column B, if it finds it, show that value, if not, show "not found".

I've a spreadsheet and I need to find cells in Column A that contains certain text and subsequently being able to compare the data in 2 other cells (column F and Column J) and post the results of comparison in Column L. Please see the tables below:

In this table, if Range("A1") contains abc, then data in Range("f1") would be compared against Range("J1"). If F1 = J1, then Range("L1") would say "ok" otherwise "needs to check" as in Rows 2.

Please note that the amount of data varies daily.

Display Text In Cell Only If Value Exists In Different Cell?

Let me see if I can make this succinct and clear. Cell AQ2 (where the formula below resides) looks at the value in cell E2. It then references table $K$3:$U:$100 on sheet "LookupTables" to get the value to display. It does this (and works great) with the formula below:

Formula To Display Column Header As Result When Any Value Exists In Cells Under Column

I am trying to write a formula where the column header of the row in which a value other than 0 exists, will display for each instance (row) where a value exists in an array spanning 3 columns. So the result cell could be any of the three column headers, or a combination thereof.

I started the formula in P2 of the GL Detail-2012 tab. File attached.

Here is what I started: =INDEX($M$1:$O$1,SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF($M$2:$O$67756,))). Not working.

Compare Excel Files And Display Matching And Unmatching Cells In Log File

I have to compare data in first sheet of two excel files and have to create a log file to display the logs of comparisons.

First workbook is placed in folder C:/Input/ with name as Input.xlsx and second workbook is placed in folder C:/Output/ with name as Output.xlsx.

I have to compare below cells between input.xlsx and output.xlsx.

Cell "B1" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C4" in output.xlsxCell "B2" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C5" in output.xlsx.
Cell "B3" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C6" in output.xlsxCell "B4" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C7" in output.xlsx.
Cell "B5" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C10" in output.xlsxCell "B6" in input.xlsx , has to match with Cell "C9" in output.xlsx.

[Code] .......

After Comparing, I would like to log all the comparision in a log.csv, if cell "B1" in input file is matching "C4" in output file , say matching and color it green. If not matching, provide mismatch values from both cells and color it in red.

How we can compare 100's of excel files placed in Input and output folder and create one log file as stated above.

Compare 2 Cell Values Then Display Dialog Box

I would like to have a dialog box "popup" if the value of two cells do NOT equal.

cell C11 has net sales values for the day, including cash, checks, and credit cards. After sub total of these values, I subtract any charges(voids) and get a total(c11). I enter a sales(c12), tax(c13), no tax(C14), misc. amounts(C15 & C16) ,reductions(c21) and put the total in Cell C22 with the formula =Sum(c12:c16)-c21). Because I do not want the formula overwritten, I protect the sheet including the amounts in cell c11 and c22. If they do "Not" match I would like a dialog box to appear so the error can be corrected.

I would like to display the column header of the row in which a value other than 0 exists in a cell for each instance that value exists in an array spanning 3 columns. So the result cell could be any of the three column headers.

I started the formula in P2 of the GL Detail-2012 tab. (FILE TOO BIG)

If there is any value other than 0 in Resin, Sand or Eliminated columns, return that column's header under Segment.

Macro - Sum Up, Compare, Display

I have a spreadsheet with three sheets („Data”, „20” and „30”). On the Data sheet I have only two rows, and I do not work on this sheet. I work with the sheets 20 and 30. On the sheet 20 I need to sum up the amount of column H. But my problem is that the count of this column (the rows or cells) allways change. Sometimes there are 554 the next day 663 and so on. So I need the macro to sum up the amount of column H two cells under the last cell. I need exactly the same in the sheet 30, but the only difference is that in the sheet 30 the amounts are in the G column (not in H). Finally I need to compare the two summed up amounts (sheet 20 and 30) and they must be equal. So what I would need as macro is that when I run it, it sums up the amounts in both sheets and then in the Data sheet (in the 5th row, cell A) displays the summed up amount and (in cell B) displays OK if the two summed up amounts are equal, or just dislpays ERROR if the summed up amounts are not equal.

I'd like to compare two cells, and if the first cell is either >150, <161, OR =165 AND the second cell is ="E" to output a 1, and if false, output a zero.
I have =IF(AND(AND(Sheet1!B3>150, Sheet1!B3<161, Sheet1!B3=165 ),Sheet1!E2="P"),"1","0")

But i know that is incorrect because Sheet1!B3 can not be greater than 150 AND less than 161 AND = 165. I can't figure out how to make it >150 AND < 161 OR = 161.

Compare And Display Data With Met Criteria.

I have a Workbook that contains 2 sheets. One of them has a list of customer codes in one column, product codes in the next and product description in the last. The second sheet has a list of customers with their respective codes next to the names. I have a buton that when pressed asks to select a customer code from the second spreadsheet. After the selection is made a new sheet is created and that code is displayed there. This is as far as i got.

What i would like to do next is loop through the 1st sheet looking for the customer code that has been selected and in the newly created sheet display the product code and description that is next to that particulare customer in the first sheet. I'm sorry if my description is a bit fuzzy im just very tired. I will atach the spreadsheed with the vba code tha i have so far. Thnak you in advance to anyone that would be willing to help.

I've got a worksheet with 3 columns that I want to compare the data from and display the asnwer if theses conditions are not met.

Here is an example: (Row 1 are Column Headings)

Compare 2 Sheets And Display Differences On 3rd

1. Got 2 lists in 2 sheets, those I want to compare and all the diffrences in all columns, I want to display in the third sheet.
2. The lists are the same structure.
3.Blad1 or Sheet1 is the list that is the latest.
4.Blad2 or Sheet2 is the list from yesterday.

So i want to compare newest with yesterday and all the diffs come up in the third.
So if there is a change in column A to W new planning date or planning status, or a new added row I want these to turn up in blad3 / sheet3. Can´t get my excelfiles to fit the maxupload criteria. Anyone got any idea on how to do this easy? Would like to do it macro wise due to I do couple of macros before this step.

I have two sheets in excel,Sheet1(worksheet) and Sheet2(worksheet).In Sheet1 I have certain numbers. In sheet2 I have some numbers which also include the numbers in sheet1.

Now I need to generate in sheet3 which has numbers which are in Sheet2 but not in Sheet1 with delimiters ( ; ) in between in one line. (EG: In Sheet1 I have say nos 1 to 10. In Sheet2 I have nos say 3,5,8 . In sheet3 there should be 1,2,4,6,7,9) Can you pls help me by providing code for this.

I want to compare a cell with a number of other cells to check if their value is the same. If it is the same an IF function will perform some action.

For example I want to check if A23 is equal to B23,B24,B25.....B50

Something like IF (A23= B23 to B50,"hi","bye")

The problem is that I dont know how to write "B23 to B50" in a format Excel will understand.

I have a spreadsheet with 2 worksheets. On the first "active parts" I have a list of active part numbers and on the second "All Parts" I have all of the parts available.

I want to compare every part in the All Parts worksheet to see if the part number exists on the Active Parts sheet - if it's there, I would like it to return the value "Active" in column B in All Parts. I have a formula in column B in All Parts that seems to work for the first few, but as soon as it finds one that is active, the rest of the cells below all return "Active".

I have the absolute working when I compare one cell to one cell, but I can't get it to compare one cell to a range of cells (two weeks of days)

Compare General Number To Date - Display Based On Criteria

I would like to create a formula that compares a number in one cell to the dates I have displayed in two different cells. If true, then I want it to display the Currency value from another cell.

A2 is the DAY it's due
B2 is the AMT that is due

I can create an IF...THEN statement where if A2 is >= C1 BUT less than D1 then the value is B2, BUT it only works if I change A2 to an actual date which means i have to change it every month...which would not help with forecasting future transactions. So in the example above, the value would be in C2 and not D2.

I need to summarize some information from a different worksheet. Worksheet A(WS-A) is the summary and worksheet B (WS-B) is the source of information. On WS-B I have a range of values under the title "Materials" which I use to put together an estimate. This range has about 25 rows and not all of them are populated depending on the needs of the particular job.

If it matters, the Materials cells are populated by a drop down "list" from yet another worksheet. On the summary (WS-A) I want to show only the cells from WS-B that have a value in them so that if, within the Materials worksheet, there are only 6 rows that have data in them...only those 6 rows are shown on the summary worksheet.

How To Check Whether A Text Exists In A Group Of Cells

What I want is to find out whether a value in a node can be found from a group of other nodes. I've tried lupike this, but it doesn't seem to work properly.

=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(C1;$A$2:$A$200));"WAS FOUND"; "NOT FOUND")

I guess one solution could have been using concatenate function, but why on earth can't I use the function like this: concatenate(A1:A5)? Why do I have to put each term individually?
