Consolidate Multiple Tabs Into One Summary Tab With Some Restrictions?
Jan 9, 2013
I have multiple tabs and each tab has an invoice. In the summary tab, I want to grab certain cells ie. Invoice #, Number of items, and total invoice amount.
The tricky part is, although the format for each invoice is the same, the product list for some invoices may be longer in some invoices (which will affect the total amount - aka total amount may be in cell F40 instead of F10).
Since I get these invoices on a regular basis, I would really like to create a macro where it will just find the items I need and paste it in the summary. I have no problems making this file work if the items are all in the same cell and format for each tab.

I have multiple tabs with information in the same cells on each tab (each tab is a different product). Is there an easy way of pulling this information for each tab onto a summary page?

I have a summary tab in which I am trying to sum data based on specific variables from 30 other tabs in the worksheet
- In the summary tab, I have months (one year worth) over the top row and consultant names in the first column
- Each other tab represents a project
- I want for consultant 1 in summary tab, to have:
For january, the sum of dollars spent in january in each project (so across all tabs)
Same for february to december.
I have attached an exemple Note that the consultant names will always have the same syntax but will not necessarily be in the same cell in each tab.

I am trying to setup a file that has three tabs - LIST, COLOR AND PLANT.
I want to be able to select a color or colors (red, blue, yellow, green) and a plant or plants (tree, shrub, flower, grass) using radio buttons, maybe?
If i chose red and blue for a color and chose tree, shrub and grass for plants, i would like to populate the LIST tab with these items.
I'd also like to give an associated value to each color and plant. for example, for the colors, i could choose values between 1, 2 and 3. if i chose red 1, it would add "red 1" to the LIST. if i wanted to later change it to 3, i could do that on the COLOR tab and the LIST tab would update automatically.

I have a summary sheets for my report that my department no longer wants to use. Rather they want to have a longer, more detailed version of the same thing, but rather than 1 sheet summarizing it all, they want it 1 widget, 1 sheet.
How can I have my Checksheet tab (see upload), turned into multiple tabs. In the specific example I provided, there are 10 widgets, so therefore I created the result in 10 tabs.
How can I get a macro to turn Checksheet tab into the next 10 tabs (see excel upload)?
I have attached the excel sheet of how my summary sheet is, and how it's supposed to look like.

I have a summary page that includes the titles for each tab within the excel 2003 workbook. I want to use the names of the tabs in the summary page and create it into a formula to lookup fixed cells within the various tabs. Sorry for not uploading an excel doc but I was at work earlier and the thread did not load for some reason, so I am reposting it.

I need the correct syntax to consolidate ranges from several worksheets into a summary worksheet - all in the same workbook. I am building the Array on the fly, and I keep getting errors. (Subscript out of range being the most recent).
The code now is opening only one workbook so I can keep it simple. It iterates through the sheets collection, and builds the array.
Private Sub cbConsolidateToRollups_Click()
Dim MyArray() As Variant
Dim Source As Variant
Dim SheetNames As Variant
Dim SingleQuote, DoubleQuote
SingleQuote = Chr(39)
DoubleQuote = Chr(34)
'set the directory to Rollups
ToPath = Application.DefaultFilePath & "Cost Tracking" & "Rollups"

I have an excel file with a Bill of material for each tab. I'd like to consolidate all the equipments from the differents tab into an unique tab. I enclose a sample: Test BOM.xlsx
I'd like a macro that should be able to detect the name and the quantity of equipment in each tab and copy the data in the 'desired output' tab. I don't know if the same result is possible with a pivot table.

I have a file that will have a maximum of about 25 tabs in it. They are all the same format - Column A have account codes, Column B have the account name and Column C through to Column AD have figures. Column B has a drop down menu, so not all tabs will have the same account code on the same row.
I thought that I would create another spreadsheet in the file and call it a master sheet with the same formats as all the other tabs but this master file will have all of the account codes available and will not have a drop down menu in column B. What I wanted to do was consolidate all of the 25 tabs in the master sheet.
Example Worksheets
TAB 1
Acc Code Desc Amount
1________a___10
2________b___10
TAB 2
Acc Code Desc Amount
1________a____10
2________b____10...........

I have a workbook that has multiple tabs and need help trying to figure out how to consolidate all the data. I find myself spending hours doing this manually each day.
Here is what I have:
Workbook has tabs labeled....Wk1_Mon, Wk1_Tues, Wk1_Wed, Wk1_Thurs, Wk1_Friday, Wk1_Summary......and repeats all the tabs through Wk5....then I have a Month_Summary tab.
I have 25 users with 25 seperate workbooks each with individual information on each workbook.
I am trying to get a sum of all the data on the Month_Summary tab for each month for each user and as well as a sum of the Month_Summary tab for all 25 users.
The end result I am looking for is to get a Yearly Sum of all the Month_Summary Tabs for all 25 users as well as individual yearly summaries for each users.
I have one main Folder which contains 25 folders (one for each user). Under each user folder there is a seperate Workbook for each month.

I am currently working through a macro and got stuck about halfway. I have a number of files in a folder on my drive that I am pulling the first tab from into a Master workbook, and then I want to have a summary tab for all of those tabs(they are all identical). Some of the cells will be text(say range A5:C105), some will be SUM(E6:G105) and some will be AVERAGE(D6:D104) formulas needed. These formulas will not change, but will need to pull the data from all tabs that are pulled into the file.
So far I have this code that pulls all of the first tabs together:
Code:
Sub Staff_Plan_Update()
Dim wbDst As Workbook
Dim wbSrc As Workbook
Dim wsSrc As Worksheet
Dim MyPath As String
Dim strFilename As String
Call TimeStamp
[Code] ......
I was going to record a macro that creates a summary table every time, but not sure if it is easier to create a blank template for the summary tab that will update every time all of the tabs are pulled into this file. The problem I ran across with that is that I will be taking the SUM of all tabs, but the number of tabs/name of tabs will be different.

I have several tabs, 100 or so, and would like to have cost per West, South region etc onto a summary sheet. The summary must separate these costs per individual company per tab/worksheet. I'm looking for a formula, a macro or both to execute this work for me. The tab list grows every time i.e. new ones are set up all the time so the formula has to take this into consideration.

All the sheets have same data (i.e Column A contains Product Sold, Column B contains Sale Value)...The thing is i want to consolidate all the data in sales order number wise. i.e.
Column A Column B
201 $200
202 $300

I need a macro that would consolidate all data in multiple worksheets of multiple workbooks in one Master file.
All the workbooks will be in one particular folder. The macro should search for data in all the workbooks and consolidate it in one master excel workbook.
I am currently using both excel 2007 and excel 2010. This macro would really reduce manual work as currently consolidating data from 45 to 50 sheets takes an ample amount of time...

I am trying to consolidate information from multiple (atleast two or more) worksheets (in the same workbook) into a single sheet.
The worksheets have identical column headings. There are 4 columns in each worksheet. The first three columns are text strings (and some cell in these columns may be blank). The fourth column is an integer. The number of rows in each worksheet is most likely to vary. Within a worksheet the rows are unique. However, some rows may be duplicated across worksheets.
To reiterate, here's what I am trying to do.
Step 1. Create a summary sheet.
Step 2. When there is a unique row (identified by the first three cells in that row) across worksheets then I have that row as is in my summary sheet.
Step 3. When there are duplicate rows (identified by the first three cells in that row) across worksheets, I want to add up the cell in the fourth column associated with those row in my summary sheet
I have tried union (works only within a sheet), consolidate (works only with a single column). I don't need the sophistication of a pivot table but simply an aggregation of data
I am trying to do this using macros (within an add-in)
I have enclosed a sample workbook with the expected output. I created this workbook by hand in an attempt to clarify my problem statement.

I have attempted to code a "capture" worksheet that will consolidate other worksheets into an importable template. The problem i'm having is when I run my code I beleive it is referenceing the capture page, instead of the other worksheets. I know there are a few ways to accomplish this, one being to reference the other pages through name or location. This will not work as the other sheet names and locations will change, the only constant is the page where all will be consolidated "change capture".
I beleive it is misreferencing as it points to a being 256, and b being 0... both should have different values.
I would like the capture page to consolidate downwards (begin the second paste after the last line of the previous paste).

I'm making a Excel list for trading cards (MTG) and I've divided it into different worksheets in order to sort it by the color of the cards (not really important I guess).
The issue I have is that I want it to copy certain columns (in this case C3:C1000, F3:F1000, G3:1000 ) from almost all of the worksheets into a new worksheet where it should paste them into column A, B and C.
In two of the worksheets it's also different (C3:C1000 , G3:G:1000, H3:H1000).
I've seen many where you copy one range from multiple worksheets, and that would've been okay I guess if not those two worksheets were different. I'd prefer not to change them, and I'd also prefer if I could've gotten just the information I needed also. Is this possible to do?

I am trying to create one giant pivot table from 3 different tables. I have been playing around with power pivot but can't create any relationships since my data is duplicated or something. I have three tables, each of which have a few columns that are the same- date, account, description and amount. The three tables are comprised of 3 bank statements from Mar-Oct. What I want to do is basically pivot the three tables so that I can list account by date for all of the entries in the 3 tables, however each of my tables may have duplicate dates such as:

I'm not sure if this can be done but if I had the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in cells A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5 respectively, is there a formula that I could put in another cell to display "12345"?
I was playing around with the consolidate function, but I couldn't get it to work, and it's not a formula, it is done after the fact.
(PS. I've got no idea about macros)

The sales record I am working on contains many lines per order for the same part number, e.g.:
Order: 121212
Part: 12345, Qty 1
Part: 12345, Qty 1
Part: 12345, Qty 1
Instead of:
Order: 121212
Part: 12345, Qty 3.
I want to consolidate this data. I've tried subtotalling on order, then subtotalling on part number. This works, but the resultant appearance is messy and hard to follow.
