Determine Value Of Multiple Cells

Below is the code I used in order to calculate the price of an item depending on the number of items ordered, where the items are in column "I" and their corresponding prices in column "J"
The "If" and all of the "ElseIf" statements work fine except for the last "ElseIf" statement. It's not any different from the ones above it though.
Private Sub cmdCalculatePrice_Click()
Dim strDish As String
strDish = Range("B21").Value
Dim intQuantity As Integer
intQuantity = Range("C21").Value
Dim intPrice As Integer

This code works fine, but it does not look professional. I tried to write like: If Application.Intersect(Target, rng1, rng2, rng4, rng5) Is Nothing Then Exit Sub
it did not work, but as it is down here it worked
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim rng1 As Range, rng2 As Range, rng3 As Range, rng4 As Range, rng5 As Range
On Error Goto NoValidation
Set rng1 = Range("B28:B55")
Set rng2 = Range("D28:D55")
Set rng4 = Range("H28:H55")
Set rng5 = Range("J28:J55")
If Application.Intersect(Target, rng1) Is Nothing Then
If Application.Intersect(Target, rng2) Is Nothing Then
If Application.Intersect(Target, rng4) Is Nothing Then
If Application.Intersect(Target, rng5) Is Nothing Then
Exit Sub
End If
End If
End If
End If
End If
If Target. Validation.InCellDropdown Then Application.SendKeys "%{Up}"
NoValidation:
Err.Clear
End Sub

I have an excel document with hundreds of columns. Each column should not be empty; they must have at least one value. Right now I'm applying a filter and going through each column one by one to make sure that it is not empty. How can I perform this check without having to go through each column one by one?

File A has patients with discharge dates over two years. Each patient may have multiple dates. Example:
Patient Discharge Date
John Smith 7/1/2012
John Smith 10/1/2012
Judge Judy 7/1/2013
Judge Judy 12/1/2013
File B has office visit dates for the patients. Again, each patient has multiple office visits. I need to be able to see which office visits were within 15 days of a discharge date. Example:
Patient Office Visit
John Smith 6/1/2012
John Smith 6/15/2012
John Smith 7/10/2012
Judge Judy 7/20/2013
Judge Judy 12/12/2013
Is there any way to note next to the discharge date that for John Smith the 7/10/2012 office visit was within 15 days of the 7/1/2012 discharge? And the same for Judy with the 12/12/2013 visit?

I need to detect 2 levels of duplication.
I have a data table that is similar to below (actual table is very large 1000+ rows) but duplicate column is empty.
I don't want to add additional data (i.e. formula to perform concatenate) to other columns as it takes a very long time even with screen updating turned off.
I want to use vba to
1) determine how many rows there are in the worksheet (this updates from an outside datasource)
2) Concatenate baseno & altno and determine if the concatenated value is duplicated
3) Within those duplicates for each baseno&altno pair determine if verno is different
4) Set "Duplicate" value for each duped baseno&altno pair where verno is different
So the end resulting table after macro runs would be
baseno
altno
verno
duplicate
[Code]....
I have been for weeks now and just can't get this to work. I can get it so that I can determine duplicates on one column but I can't seem to get it to concatenate inside the script and compare without writing back to the sheet (which is too slow and I don't want to do).

I'm feeling pretty inadequate at the moment ... I'm trying to determine something that (I think) would be relatively simple ... How do I determine if a single column , for example, (B:B) is blank (or null)? Alternatively, how do I determine if a range of cells in a column or columns, for example, (B1:B30) or (B1:D30) is blank (or null)?

The compliment of a set is those elements not in the set. Excel doesn't do compliments well.
In Automatic Filter, one can easily see the rows that match criteria, but selecting the compliment of those rows (the ones that don't match the criteria) is difficult.
Similarly, there are the range functions Intersect and Union, but no Symetric Difference.
(Def: the symetric difference of two sets, AB, is the set of those elements in A that are not in B. {1,2,3,4,5}{2,3,4,10,11} = {1,5}.)
Other than by looping through cells:
Given two ranges, aRange and bRange, how would one code for those cells that are in aRange, but not in bRange.

I am creating a Spreadsheet to work with a game which I am designing. I want to create a combat calculator which will generate formulas based on which class a person chooses to be, and their choice of weapons, armour and other equipment (makes things a lot easier for me to visualize). I have created the first worksheet which will act as the interface where users can input their character configurations and a second worksheet where all of the data is stored, included items and their values.
Assuming that on the interface I have cell A1 which will let the user select their class (Warrior, Archer, Sorcerer).
I also have cells B1 = Helmet, B2 = Body Armour, B3 = Leg Armour, B4 = Feet Armour, B5 = Hand Armour.
I would like cells B1:B5 to create a Data Validation based on the class which is selected in A1.
E.g.
IF A1="Warrior"; B1 = A list of Melee Helmets, B2 = A list of Melee Body Armour... etc
IF A1="Sorcerer"; B3 = A list of Magic Leg Armour...
I have managed to do this with the following formula, but only if the data is stored in the same sheet.
Cell B1
=IF(A1="Warrior", =meleeArmour1, =IF(A1="Archer", =rangeArmour1, =magicArmour1))
Cell B2
=IF(A1="Warrior", =meleeArmour2, =IF(A1="Archer", =rangeArmour2, =magicArmour2))
[NOTE]
=meleeArmour1 represents the range of cells where the Melee Helmets/Head Armour is stored.
=magicArmour2 represents the range of cells where the Magic Body Armour is stored.
The group cell names do not seem to work if they are on a different sheet, nor does it work if I replace the group cell name (=meleeArmour1) with the full formula (=Sheet2!A$1$:A$10$)

I am looking for a formula to determine the oldest date in a range of cells. BUT, the part that's kicking me in the pants here, is that the range will change.
In column D, I have a person's name. The number of times that person's name will appear will change every time I run this formula. In column F, I have a date & time. I'm looking for a formula that will determine the oldest date/time associated with that person.

I am trying to resize a picture on a worksheet to fit a dynamic measurement(the size of the page is different depending on the contents in cells).
I am doing this all in VBA.
so what I have come up with is that I need to
1) determine the total column width of only the non-hidden(visible) cells.
2) resize my picture to those measurements, so I can get an exact fit, and it doesn't create a new page break, by going over.
I have found some code on forums, and am thinking of something like this as a solution(although I don't know how to complete it):

I have Three different combinations which are in cell A & B, These combinations are with similar signs as in A1=2- & B1 = 2- (& A1 = 2+, B1=2+). Then I have numbers with no signs which A1 =2 B1= 2. My approach is to limit to these and these combinations only and use a formula which is uniformally applied on these combination. I want A1 and B1 to take only like signs like -- or ++ or without any sign. The rest shd be ignored. IS there a way of sorting two columns which have different combinations liek -- or ++ or -+ into a area where u can apply a particular formula? Hence first i take a number and move signs on the left and then apply this
IF A7 = 2- . B7 = 3- THEN
IF(OR(RIGHT(TRIM(B7),1)="-",RIGHT(TRIM(B7),1)=" ",RIGHT(TRIM(B7),1)="+"),LEFT(TRIM(B7),LEN(TRIM(B7))-1)*3,B7*3)

Trying to manipulate a macro I recorded to be slightly more dynamic with some VBA code. The macro has saved me a lot of time however each month I have to re-do it due to the date changing and I'm sure there must be an easy way to adapt the below code.
Current Code (it repeats afterwards as there are lots and lots of sheets I need to perform the action on).
Windows("Raw Data.xls").Activate
ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = True
Sheets("Calls").Select
Range("C43").Select
Selection.Copy
Windows("Volume Tracking.xlsm").Activate
Sheets("Offline").Select
Range("AE33").Select
Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks _
:=False, Transpose:=False
What I'm after is a way to alter the range highlighted based upon matching a cell in "Raw Data.xls' and a cell in "Volume Tracking.xlsm".
The cell A43 in "Raw Data.xls" contains a month (which changes every month); if the month is Jan then I would want the Range to remain as AE33. If it's Feb then I would want the Range to be AF33 (and so on).
In "Volume Tracking.xlsm" I have the months in cells AE4 (Jan), AE5 (Feb) etc.
Is there a way to locate the column in "Volume Tracking.xlsm" on row 4 that contains the value found in A43 in "Raw Data.xls" and then paste what was copied out of "Raw Data.xls" C43 and paste it in to row 33 of the correct column that holds the matching month?
If not could I add code to say if cell A43 in "Raw Data.xls" = Jan then paste to AE33, if Feb then paste to AF33 and so on.........

1 workbook, 2 worksheets (or tabs). On tab 1, I want a formula/alert that tells the user if any duplicate values exist in Column A of tab 2
Tab 2, Column A, has Unique ID's (6 digit numeric values)
The user manually inputs the ID's on new rows in Column A
Row 1 is reserved and in use for something else
Row 2 is my header, so cell A2 says "ID"
Row 3-623 currently contain unique ID's
When the user inputs a new ID into cell A624, then they return to Tab 1, I want my formula/alert on Tab 1 to tell the user that they have duplicates in Column A of tab 2. I know the Conditional Formatting, but if the user copies in 100 new values, they won't necessarily see the highlighted cells. My tab 1 is my "checks and balances" and the last place the user is suppposed to look to ensure that they haven't created any duplicate ID's. If the user sees a warning message that says duplicates exist, then I'll tell them that they need to look at column A (for cells that have been conditionally highlighted).
One issue that I'm running into with the conditional highlighting is that I want cells A3:A1048576 to already have the conditional formatting - this way when the user inserts a value into Cell A624, then A625, etc they conditional formatting is already there. Right now with data in cells A3:A623, cells A624:A1048576 are all highlighted with the Red/Bold Red Font (which is okay I guess), but ideally it would be nice to not count 2+ empty cells as duplicates and I'll have to have my formula on Tab 1 not include the blank cells.
I DO NOT want to use the Remove Duplicates feature of Excel 2010. If I remove them I could be removing data in columns B, C, D, etc that belong to the Unique ID. I just need the user to be told in Tab 1 that they DO have duplicates and I'll train the user how to research this and fix it.
The reason I want to look for duplicates in the entire Column A is because the list of Unique ID's will grow over time.

I am trying to determine that if a range of cells are marked with an "X", then cells containing "Pass" (A4), Pass with Opportunity for Improvement (A6)or "Fail" (A8) will be marked with an "X". I have 3 columns that are selectable for Pass, Fail, and Non-Applicable. There are a total of thirteen questions that this evaluation form asks, and the evaluator must check one box. In order to be considered a Pass, there must be more 12 or more "X"'s marked in the Pass column. A Pass with Opportunity for Improvement would be equal to 11 marked in the Pass column, and a Failure would be 10 or less showing up in the Fail column. If there is a check in the non-applicable section, this has to be figured into thye pass fail as well. A Pass would be 85% or higher, and failure anything less than this. I will attach the file for review. I would very much appreciate help on this problem first, and then there is one other element to the sheet that plays in at the end.

I'm currently doing a survey using an excel workbook that contains multiple questions across multiple worksheets using radio buttons linked to certain cells.
I have around 400 workbooks coming back to me, so what i want to do is take specific values from across many worksheets within each workbook and combine them into a large master table in a seperate workbook.
I've tried using VBA, but not being very proficient at it i've hit a brick wall with that, so i'm hoping that there is an easier way to do it than what i'm currently pursuing.

I am using MS Office 2010. I want to count---on multiple sheets---the number of times that a given cell is greater than another cell if and only if a third cell is equal to a given value. I want to do this for 4 sets of data on each sheet. I thought I had it figured out with this formula---
=SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(INDIRECT("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$R1"),2*(AND("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$E1">"'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$F1"))))+SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(INDIRECT("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$S1"),2*(AND("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$G1">"'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$H1"))))+SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(INDIRECT("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$T1"),2*(AND("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$I1">"'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$J1"))))+SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(INDIRECT("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$U1"),2*(AND("'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$K1">"'"&$H$1:$H$43&"'!$L1"))))
but it returns a value of zero each time. Clearly there is an error in the formula.
Here is some background:
-- $H$1:$H$43 is a block of cells that has the names of the sheets in the workbook
-- E1 and F1, G1 and H1, I1 and J1, K1 and L1 are the four groups of cells that I am comparing.
In the entire workbook, I want to add 1 (counting function) only when:
R1=2 AND E1>F1 or
S1=2 AND G1>H1 or
T1=2 AND I1>J1
U1=2 and K1>L1
on each appropriate sheet in the workbook.

I have a worksheet entitled 'Data'. In this worksheet there is a table consisting of 4 columns plus relevant data:
TABLE 1:
Project
Benefit Type
Delivered or Enabled
Benefit
PJ1
Financial
Delivered
Saving of $4M over 24 months.
[code]....
I have been trying to create a formula that will enable me to pull data from the 'benefit' column(column D) so that the cell contents populate in a single cell in a table in a different worksheet.
TABLE 2:
Financial - Delivered
Financial - Enabled
Tech - Delivered
Tech - Enabled
Green - Delivered
Green - Enabled
[code]....
So, as an example, I am hoping that a formula can be created which pulls the text from relevant cells in column D when criteria from columns A, B and C are met e.g. Tech benefits that are Delivered in PJ2 would populate cell E3 ('Tech -Enabled') in Table 2 with:
Continued maintenance of hardware.
Increased capacity.

I am having such a difficult time creating a macro that will reduce the 5+hours I have to spend each week manually copying & pasting all of this data. I making an IMMENSE difference in this worker bee's life!
I have a workbook with two sheets (Sheet1 & Sheet2). Sheet1 has license #'s in column A and the state that the license belongs to in column B like this:
COLUMN ACOLUMN B11111Alaska11112Alabama11113Arkansas11114Arkansas
Sheet2 has three columns. Column A has the license #'s, column B has the state that the license belongs to and Columns C shows a line-of-authority tied to that license #.
COLUMN ACOLUMN BCOLUMN
C11111AlaskaProperty11111AlaskaCasualty11112AlaskaLife11112AlaskaHealth11112
AlabamaProperty11112AlabamaCasualty11113ArkansasLife11113ArkansasHealth11114
ArkansasLife11114ArkansasHealth12345ArizonaProperty
I'm trying to write a macro that will compare the license # and state in Sheet1 to the license # and state in Sheet2. If it matches, append the contents of Column C to the corresponding row in Sheet1.
Here's the thing...Sheet2 contains the entries for all licenses in the company (so this table is HUGE). And there are multiple entries for each state license # (notice how there's two entries above for AK license # 11111 - one for the Property line and one for the Casualty line.
After my macro is run, I want Sheet1 to show all the lines-of-authority on a single line. So if I ran my macro on the above example, after it's run I would have this in Sheet1:
COLUMN ACOLUMN BCOLUMN
C11111AlaskaProperty Casualty11112AlabamaProperty Casualty11113
ArkansasLife Health11114ArkansasLife Health

I have attached a test workbook excel 2010 (ignore ref# errors, I've cut the workbook down for uploading purposes) What I would like to do is have a 'Button' on my 'information Sheet' which when clicked would clear certain cells. I have searched the forum but can't find a solution, everyone seems to want to delete rows or columns but I just want to clear certain cells. The workbook will have 11 sheets each named 'caravan 1' through to 'caravan 11' The uploaded test workbook only only has 3 sheets.
On 'caravan 1' (which is slightly different to the other 10) I want to clear the content of cells
B4 & B5
C4, C22 & C41
D4 & D5
E4,E5, E22,E23,E41 &E 42
On all other 'Caravan sheets' I want to clear the contents of cells
D4 & D5
E4, E5, E22, E23, E41 & E42
It would be icing on the cake if it could give a warning such as " are you sure you want to clear these cells" but that isn't really necessary. The worksheets will be password protected, but the cells mentioned above will not be. If it proves too difficult to clear all the cells on all the sheets with one click, then perhaps a simpler solution might be to have a button on each sheet instead
