Display ListBox Values In Status Bar

I would like to find out if I can have the values I selected in a two-column listbox and a one-column listbox in a userform shown in the status bar. It is possible to select more than one value in the list boxes, so the formula needs to be able to add the selected values.

How To Select Range In VBA For Excel Status Email Where Status Not Equal To

I have some vba code that currently copies a status table out of a worksheet, into a temp file for an email. The status table in excel has a column D which can have different status. I want to select everything in the table except rows that are 'Descoped'. Currently my code looks like:

Set rng2 = Sheets("Execution Status").Range("B2:F420")

This picks up everything without looking at the status. I want to change it so it doesn't pick up the rows where Column D contains 'Descoped'.

In pseudo code I would describe it as:

Set rng2 = Sheets("Execution Status").Range("B2:F420") where value in D5:D420 is not equal to 'Descoped'.

I have tried:

Set rng2 = Sheets("Execution Status").Range("B2:F420").Value "Descoped" and nothing gets selected.

How To Populate Listbox With List Excluding Values Found In Another Listbox

I have a userform where I can select multiple items in a listbox and add them to another. I also have the ability to filter the first listbox to make finding items easier. The issue I am having concerns the clear filter button. As currently designed, the clear filter button will reset the initial listbox back to its default values. Ideally, I would like it to reset to the default values excluding those values that currently in the second listbox.

The entire code is below for reference, but it's the sub ClearFilter_Click that I am struggling with.

Combobox Values Depends On Cell Status?

I have a worksheet with three columns in it. the first column is the "channel column", the second column is the "status column"; which indicates the status of the channel column wheter it is active or not, the third column is the "circuit name" column which indicates the circuit name for each channel. now, the status of the channel depends on the value of the circuit name column.. if the cell in the circuit name column is blank, the status column has an if formula that automatically changes it to vacant status, otherwise active.

i added command buttons namely "active" and "vacant". this buttons correspons to active userform and vacant useform when clicked. in each userform there is a combobox. My problem is how would i fill the combobox in the active userform with the active channels only , and same in the vacant userform with vacant channels only. the comboboxes list should correspond to changes in the status column, that is if one channel gets an active status it would be deleted from the vacant userform and be added to the active userform

But receive the method or data member not found error. The cell link property just returns the position in the list! I need the text!!

The only workound I could think of was populating a space in the SS with the directory contents and using the cell link value in a choose function to return the selected workbook name.

Force Display Of Item In ListBox

I have a worksheet and for data validation, i do have a dropdown. This is working fine.

I am now trying to create a userform. And I feel for data integrity, I should be using a listbox on the form as well.

I have found examples of different ways to load the list, so I don't think this part will be an issue. But what I cannot find, is if the worksheet row currently has a value (say it is the third item on the list), how do I show THAT on my form?

Example, say we have a list of 10 cities.
Orlando
Tampa
San Francisco
London
Athens
Paris
Chicago
Cairo
Seattle
Atlanta

My wordsheet has the rows populated with the cutomers favorite city to visit.
For John Doe (row3) in column 5 is the city "San Francisco"

When I use my nav keys, how would I "stuff" San Francicso in to the display and still have it able to select a different city?

Display Chosen File In ListBox

I am trying to create a form where a user can click a button and add a document to a workbook. The file(s) can be hidden on a seperate sheet, but ultimately should be displayed in a List Box or Combo Box. Not sure which would be better in this case. Selecting the item from the list would open the document (either through a double click functionality or a seperate button). I have the beginning of the code below.

Display Items In TextBox From ListBox

I am confronting a problem with a ListBox that displays Item by the selection of a ComboBox in the same Userform.

All works like this in the column “A” from my data sheet I have a list of names and in the column J I have a list of years.

What my UserForm1 dose is to select the year column with the ComboBox and display in the ListBox the corresponding name from this year selection. Until there all work fine.

Now I have to display in the TextBoxes form the Userform2 all data form my (data sheet) and this dose not work properly.

What happens is that when I select and Item in my listBox.Userform1, Usrform2 kind of display Items from another person.

I will also attach an example on this thread for a better view of my problem.

Count Unique Values Based On Duplicate Status In Another Column On Filtered Data

I am able to quite easily count the number of specific values in a cell after the table has been filtered. However, the problem I have run into is that some times the data needs to be placed into the spreadsheet twice (or to be more specific the same subject is associated with several unique data points).

What I need: some way to count the instance of some give value in column D only once based on the presence of a duplicate (unique) identifier in column C. However, when I filter the entire database, it must count *only* the filtered cells and not the hidden cells as well.

Currently calculates: M=9, F=2

Right now it incorrectly states there are 9 "M" from column D when it really should be 5 since 3 are duplicate values. My main difficulty is making sure this continues to work after I filter the entire sheet (say column ZZ) and have a bunch of hidden cells.

Equation currently using to count only filtered values (in this case "males" and "females"):

I have a worksheet called 'Letters' with data stretching from A2:W5000. I need a Listbox that will display only those entries that fit the following criteria;

Columns A and O have data in them, Column V does not. The other columns can be disregarded for the purposes of this project. Additionally, is it possible for the Listbox entry to show any formatting that appears on the sheet? What I mean is, I have a conditional formatting set up on the sheet to show any duplicate entries, for example if the entry appears twice the cell fill colour is yellow - I need that to be shown in the Listbox too if it is possible.

Unfortunately I have been unable to find an example of how to add multiple columns to a list box. I found the usual listbox1.list(x,x)= "whatever" type stuff but that doesn't seem to work right.

how to populate multiple columns including the headers, or point me to a site that explains it or has code examples?

Search And Display Results On Columns In ListBox Of Userform

I am creating a database using excel and I've created a userfrom for ease of data entry and searching the database. But now I am stuck at the searching part.

The sheet is Sheet1 and the userform is UserForm1. Based on the pic that i have attached, user needs to key in the keywords in any of the textboxes and comboboxes in the group box labelled "Organizational detail" and when he/she clicks on the Search button, the userform will display the whole rows where the search results reside onthe listbox. When the user click on the search results on the listbox, the textboxes and comboboxes will be updated with the data on the listbox.

Ive made a worksheet with a userform and ListBox. The listbox is filled with names. If you click on the last button a msgbox with your selected names is displayed. If you select the button without a selection from the listbox a message pop ups to warn that no selection is made. If you select any name afterwards and click on the button the message still pops up unless you select the first entry from the list ("natalie") then the code is right executed. I'm struggeling with the code for several days. I wonder if by any change somebody wants to correct the code. (I've uploaded my sheet)

Userform's Listbox Values Depending On Values On Certain Matrix

I have problems with my userform's listboxes. I have two listboxes, and I want second listbox's values to be dependent on first listbox's values.

And even more complicated, I need second listbox's values to be dependent on values on certain matrix.

In that matrix, row headings are listbox1's values and column headings are listbox2's values. How ever there are blanc cells on that matrix aswell. So if there is a blanc cell(s) on a row which (heading) is selected at listbox1, then I don't want that column (heading) which intersects with the blanc cell to be included to my listbox2 values.

Finally I want to insert the selected values from listboxes and the value from the intersection of those listbox values (headings) on that matrix to worksheet.

I included an attachment, where you can see my point better. However, as you can see, now the listbox values are not dependent on that matrix. Otherwise it is working like I want it to work.

I have a Userform and I want to include a listbox(or list view or anything like it) which allows the user to select a specific row by clicking a checkbox, and then the next columns will be activated to select numbers in several comboboxes. How can I modify the codes below so that the results in the listbox would reflect only the actual data? Some previous information stays in the listbox making the search inaccurate. I have tried to clear the listbox first before querying another but results are the same.

On the first loop, the queried items are accurately listed in Worksheets("Search"). For example, if the data being searched on has only one result, entries in this sheet would only show one. But when it is shown in the listbox, it at most times show previously queried information.

Also, how can I dynamically adjust the array so that no vertical scrollbar would appear if the queried results fit perfectly in the listbox? The array below would automatically assign 10 rows in the listbox even if the information shown consumes only less than 10 rows.

Saving Values From A Listbox

i have an excel table with embedded listboxes (Control Toolbar element). The user selects from listbox and has to send this file for approval. but when she saves the spreadsheet, the listbox-selection is reset to the first item. I know, that this is common for Excel, that the Listbox-selections are not saved. So I think the solution is:

1) to save the position of the shown listbox-item like

Cell(1,1).Value = Listbox1.TopIndex.Value

2) at reopening the saved file just to put this value into the Listbox like

Listbox1.TopIndex.Value = Cell (1,1).Value

But I don't know how to access this Control Toolbox objects from VBA. I've read some previous posts and then tried with

Worksheets("PAGE2"). OLEObjects("BC1L3_Isin").TopIndex.Value

but it doesn't work. The simplest solution would be to use the LinkedCell property, but the users do not always click on the ListBox to select the Item, they just scroll with the mouse and then save the file, so that ListIndex and TopIndex are not the same.

Retrieving From A Database Using Listbox Values

I have a two dimensional database from which I need to pull information based on multiple listbox values (these listboxes are located in a userform). The user selects one or more cars and then chooses from various parameters for that car. The output has to show the results - for example, if Jeep Cherokee and mpg are chosen, the output will be 23 mpg. I need to be able to do this for multiple cars and multiple parameters.

I need for the outputs to be located in a worksheet. I already have the code for setting up the list of cars and parameters selected (this gives me a row and column header), but now I need to be able to cross reference this information to pull the output from the master database. I was wondering if I can use a vlookup function to do this, but I've never used it with 2 dimensional data.
