Excel 2010 :: Highlight Cell If Multiple Conditions Are Met?
Sep 19, 2013
In column A, I need to highlight the cells green if the value is less than < the values in columns B and C, yellow if A = either B and C, and red if A is greater than B and C. But I only want the formatting to stay in column A. I'm using Excel 2010 and Windows 7.
I am creating a report where there are multiple conditions and I am using MS Excel 2010.
Summary sheet will display Date of Completion - If the exam has been taken already In Progress - if the exam has been started but not yet completed Not Started - if the exam has not yet been taken
Available data in Source sheet Completion_Date - Date when the exam was taken or "Blank" if the exam is still In Progress Completion_Status - Completed & In Progress only (all subjects that are not in the Source sheet shall be tagged as "Not Started"
Highlighed the Column and Row of the selected Cell. I have seen someone using it. Whenever he click on any cell the related column and Rows clour change. For Example if I select Cell B5. The Column B and Row 5 change its colur from B1 to B5 and Row from Column A to Column B. If this option is already available in office 2010
So I need highlighting certain cells. I have a sheet that keeps track of people's points over a series of races to determine who will make the "team". The team is selected one at a time based on the most points, starting with the leftmost column and working right. What I would like to do is highlight the highest score in each column (which I know how to do) but then tell the sheet to ignore all the other numbers in that same row. That way if the person with the most points in column one (M in my sheet) also has the most in column two (N in my sheet) Excel will ignore that number in the second column and highlight the next highest number.
I'll attach my file so there is a visual reference : ODN Points.xlsx
I have a spreadsheet of actions/tasks. I have a column with the expected completion dates of each action and another column stating whether the action/task is "open" or "closed". I would like to highlight any actions that have gone past their expected completion date and are marked as still being "open". Obviously i dont want any row that are closed to be highlighted. I know the =TODAY()- B1>0 formula will highlight the dates cell that have expired but how do i extend this formula to what i require.
If A1 is between .81 and 3, AND if B1 is Adult, then C1 is Priority Mail If A1 is greater than 3, AND if B1 is Adult, then C1 is FedEx Ground If A1 is Less than .81, AND if B1 is Adult, then C1 is First Class Mail If A1 is Less than .81, AND if B1 is Child, then C1 is Hold for Inspection
There will be a list of ~45 conditions that will populate a specific value in C1. Can this be done? If so, how?
I would like a macro to be able to save 26 tabs within the one document to individual PDFs.Preferably I would like to be able to specify each time exactly which tabs get printed, because often I don't need to print all 26, just the first 10 or so.I would like each PDF to automatically be named with the value in cell E10 of each tab.E10 already has a formula to create its final value. It references cells from other tabs within the same document. Hopefully the fact that this cell has a formula in it won't affect my ability to use the resulting value as a 'save as' reference?I would like it if the PDFs save to the same location as the Excel sheet from which they're generated is located. The location of the excel sheet will change every three months, so I'd prefer not to specify a location with a specific filepath, as it will have changed by the time I run the macro again.
I need to convert data from column IDS into separate rows, all other columns need to stay in tact. There are several distinct patterns for the IDS column, main identifiers are always starting with FILER or TEAL and the trailing numbers behind it have no more than 6 digits.
I would like to highlight cells is two conditions are met:Cell = 0Offset(0,-1)>0I tried the conditional format wizard and entered a formula: =IF(AND($J2=0,$I2>0)) But I keep receiving formual errors, which I understand, because it appears to be incomplete formula. But I am not sure what else I need to add to the formula in the conditional format wizard
I have a Excel 2010 spreadsheet that contains 3 columns of (£) values. I am wanting to highlight a cell if one of these values do not match the other 2 columns. e.g below I would need the middle column to be highlighted as it does not match the other 2 cells.
25,449.47 25,451.65 25449.47
The thing to point out is that it can be any of the cells that do not match, not necessarily the middle column and occasionally all cells will not match and all need to be highlighted.
I am sure I need to use the Conditional Formatting, but cannot figure the formula.
I have a date in column A. I want to format to YELLOW column F based on whether column F is blank and 20 days past column A. I also want the formatting to change colors to RED if it remains blank past 30 days. Then, when column F is filled in I want the formatting to be removed.
I have two conditions for a cell. One is that it counts the time elapsed in cell M4, (=now()-J4). The other is whether or not we are still waiting for a response (in cell L4, Y or N). What I would like to do is make it so that when we are still waiting for a response the M4 cell is highlighted yellow if more than 3 days and red if more than 6 days, but if cell L4 is changed to "N", then the formatting goes away. II use Excel 2010.
In an Excel 2010 worksheet I use three columns. I need a user to be able to input a word or phrase into a cell or input box, and have Excel highlight that word or phrase every place it occurs only in column C.
Can I do that with conditional formatting? Or do I need to use a function? Or do I need a macro?
I am trying to use condtional formatting to highlight a row in a table if the order number is NOT on another table, on a different sheet. Example: Order Number 1001 is in my table on Sheet4, Once the order has been filled is comes off my "Pending Orders" table on Sheet1, which is based on a data connection, so it updates once the connection is refreshed. I would like the row with order number 1001 in my table on Sheet4 to be highlighted letting me know it can now be removed, since I have to manually manage this table. I am using Excel 2010.
I need to display a set of cells based on the value of two drop down cells i have. As I am not very good at english and worse at explinations, I'll try via screen shots...
I have two dropdowns (C4 and C6) that will indicate what table to use (Second sheet / screenshot). I want that "table" to display in the yellow box on the first page. To complicate matters, some options do not have a CLA option - those starting with X. As there are 24 different outcomes and each is 3x9 if/then statements just dont seem to cut it.
When I update a cell (change A1 from 2 to 3), any cell that references that cell correctly changes its value (B1 = 2*A1). However, the screen will show the new value in B1 (6) over the previous value (4). At first I thought it almost looked like a strike-through, but then I realized the old value and new value were simply stacked in B1.
If I scroll the screen away that cell and go back to it, the correct value will now show without the stacked values. I'm not having this issue in any other program (Open Office), and I don't seem to be having any kind of stacking issue in any other Microsoft program.
I am using Excel 2010. I have a pivot table where I want to highlight the ENTIRE row where a certain cell value equals something.
In essence I want all the Material Subtotal Rows highlighted "Orange" But as you can tell from the picture below I am having issues with the Body of the Pivot table. I have the formula checking to find whenever it finds the word total to highlight it.
The example below is showing how I need the row to be formatted. I can get the Data (Units) section formatted no problem. It is just the other part of the pivot table that I cannot format.
For the columns from Material to SAP # I have been trying to use Dynamic Name ranges using the Offset function. However, excel turns that Name range to a range and if I filter the pivot table, it adds extra ranges to the Applies to box and starts to really mess it up.
