Copy And Paste Cells Into Another Cell If There Is An Empty Spot, If Not Move Down.

Mar 8, 2007

i need to have 6 or so cells copied and pasted into another sheet. (when a button is pressed) However before the data is pasted it checks if there is anything in the cell(s) that are being pasted into, if there is something then move down a line and paste. Here is the code i have already:

Sub Order2Invoice()
Sheets("OrderDatabase").Select
Range("B65536").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).Select
With ActiveCell
.Value = Orderform!G5.Value
.Offset(0, 1) = Orderform!E10.Value
.Offset(0, 2) = Orderform!E11.Value
.Offset(0, 3) = Orderform!E12.Value
.Offset(0, 4) = Orderform!E13.Value
.Offset(0, 5) = Orderform!E15.Value
.Offset(0, 8) = Orderform!E15.Value
End With
Sheets("Invoice").Select
End Sub

How To Spot Omissions

Jan 3, 2012

I have a spreadsheet with a summary tab, a tab named AAA and a tab named ZZZ. The data tabs are found between tabs AAA and ZZZ

On the summary tab, there are rows that pull total info from the tabs between AAA and ZZZ.

The problem is, if I add a new tab between AAA and ZZZ, I have to remember to add a new row on the Summary tab for this new tab.

how I can flag it if a new tab is added, but no corresponding new row on the summary tab? I'm not sure whether I want it to flag it, add it automatically or what..............?

Code To Search For Matching Text In A Table Then Copy Next Line

Jan 26, 2014

I have a spread sheet with Column A = Document number, Column B = revision.

I am trying to get a macro that, when run, increases the revision letter in column B. The problem is that we do not use a few of the letters such as I, O, P and Q.

I thought it would be best to have a table of the used revision letters (Say in Z1 to Z40)
Look at the text in column B of the row currently selected and find it in the Z1:Z40 table
Move one cell down the Z1:Z40 table and copy that text back into column B on the row initially selected.

Custom Number Format - Automatically Enter Dashes At Appropriate Spot

May 7, 2014

I am needing a custom format for the following. I need a cell entry to be 1 letter, three numbers, a dash, 5 numbers, a dash, two numbers, a dash, and then two number. Example: A109-54785-13-00. The first letter will almost always be an "A."

To further complicate the matter, the entry is copied from an email and pasted without the dashes. In the above example, the number in the email would read, "A109547851300." I copy it from the email and paste it in the proper cell in the worksheet. I would like the custom format to automatically enter the dashes at the appropriate spot.

If it was all numbers, this would be easy. I created a custom format for the numbers, but when the A is included, Excel no longer treats it as a number and the custom format did not work.

Is this possible in Excel (without VBA).

I could use the custom number format I created and then later go back and add the "A" at the beginning, but that is as much work as manually adding the dashes.

VB Script To Copy Row From Table To New Table Using IF Parameter?

i have a spreadsheet that queries the back end of sage and reports to table_a which has 10 columns, one being name. I then want to run a query that creates a new table, table_b which is a duplicate of table_a, and then copies the row if a specific name is in the name field.

The object of my task is that there are several people in table_a where I need to separate them in to their own tables instead of filtering as there other calculations I need to make.

refer to the attached workbook for reference. I am looking for a function in Sheet1, Column E that will search for the value of Sheet1, Column A within Sheet2, Column A. When a match is found, the function should look across Sheet2, Columns B - V for values of 1. When such values are found, the function should return the associated value from Sheet2, Row 2. There may be multiple values of 1, and as such, the function should separate values with a comma.

Copy Sheet Based On Table / Rename And Hyperlink Table To New Sheet

Jul 28, 2014

I've been working on a macro that makes copies of a template sheet based on a table in my Opps sheet. If column B isn't empty, make a copy of the template sheet, rename it to Opps column A, and then hyperlink column A's current A.row to the newly copied and renamed sheet.

I'm not sure what is wrong exactly, it keeps making duplicate Template(x) and stops renaming them, and the hyperlinks are not working. -This is my first go at VBA hyperlinks to internal workbook sheets

Excel 2003 :: Take Specific Text From Cell And Copy It In New One (Text And / Or Words Position Varies)

Jan 17, 2013

I'm having a 6000+ records, (contacts DB) exported in Excel 2003 format from MS Outlook.

Except the "First" and "LastName", all other contact elements are in the field "Notes" (which is the BZ column according to the exported outlook layout) multiplied by 6469 (records in total)

Useful information are included !!!

I'll give an example of a record...

Column: BZ, Row: 543 says --> "2110000000-6989000000, 1TOK_TER:17-11-010(25 DAYS LESS),
KATERINA 25 (MANTAS KALNNNNN_HYPERTENSION)1000-150, W:95_105, , HR THE 16wks_US NEFRON OK,
NT OK_B EPIP OK(GOLF BALL)_KAMPILI ORIAKI(DIAITA)_DOPPLER OK, O+,TEST OK(TOX_), , , , , , "

Now, I want every time to take the part of the text says "TER:something..." (part of which is date, but not every time with the known format dd-mm-yyyy, as you see here is yyy, followed by something else, with parenthesis here and maybe more data) and copy it in a new cell..., e.g:CO Column, same Row...

Above and every field which by the way is formatted as General (and it is text mainly) are made by merging older excel fields where data laid here and there, that's why you see the commas...with the method of a module with the following code:

Function MyMerge(Rng As Range)
For Each Cell In Rng
Temp = Temp & Cell.Value & ", "
Next Cell
Temp = Mid(Temp, 1, Len(Temp) - 2)
MyMerge = Temp
End Function

Note1:Records with the above string (TER:dd-mm-yyy) are 771 from 6469.
Note2: As an alternative solution I can see an extraction of the TER:dd-mm-yyy string and the copy in a new place, like the:CO Column, same Row...

Copy Table Column To Another Table Column If Cells Are Identical

May 2, 2013

I have two Tables, Table1 and Table2, in a single Excel spreadsheet. Table1 is our master log, and Table2 contains only Provider Names, Contact Names, Phone Numbers, and Email Addresses. I need to compare column K from Table1 with column AT from Table2. Whenever Excel finds a perfect match, I need Excel to copy AW:AY to AB:AD. For each value in column AT, there will be several identical matches in column K.

I have tried to implement vlookup() and index(match()), but cannot figure either one of them.

Table1 is almost 1500 rows long, while Table2 is not quite 80.

Looping, Open Text File, Copy Text, Close Text File

Sep 18, 2009

I have an existing spreadsheet with a column of strings (actually VIN numbers). These numbers correllate to a bunch of text files, that can exist in one of three folders (UsernameDesktop1, 2, or 3) on my desktop. What I need the macro to do is:

1) get the filename from A2 (A1 is a heading row)
2) Find the appropriate text file in one of the three folders
3) Put the folder name into I2
4) Scan the text file for some strings, and copy some data that follows those strings into J2:O2 (I can handle programming this)
5) Close the text file
6) repeat above for the remainder of filenames (about 1800 files)
