How To Make Simple Card / Board Game In Excel

I am looking to copy a simple board game in Excel
Basically it would be a simple race. Containing 4 counters (blue, green, red and Yellow) and 10 squares each.
There would be 40 cards 10 blue, 10 green, 10 red and 10 yellow. Cards would be draw randomly and the counters move respectively. I would be thinking about starting with =RANDBETWEEN(1,10).
I have no knowledge of VBA/ macro but would welcome ideas with what formulas/ commands to use.
I have added some snapshots to show what I would be looking for.

I am trying to create a simple dash board using only Excel and no VBA. What I am trying to do is I want to create dependent drop downs and link up drops downs that will pull out the required data individually or with combination of those two. For example, let's say
A column has Dates of transaction,
B column has Item name
C column has Units
D column has Month name
E column has Shifts (Morning or Evening)
I am trying to make a dash board that will pull total Sum of individual items based on
Only Date wise
Datewise + shift wise
Month wise
monthwise + shift wise
I managed to create drop down list for dates, months, and shifts but i dont know the way how to link the individual drop down lists together to pull the data based on the selection. which function i should use here and how?

I'm making a custom BINGO board in Excel 2010 for a family reunion, so it doesn't contain numbers; instead it has words (like "has brown eyes" or "served in the military"). the first sheet is the board and looks like a traditional BINGO board with the same number rows and columns with a center FREE space. On the second sheet is the list of all the phrases I'm going to use, one phrase per cell, all in Column A.
In BINGO cells, I want it to use one item (phrase) in each box but NOT repeat within the board. I have the following code in each cell and it works EXCEPT, there is no code telling it to make each cell unique, so sometimes it may repeat.

i can calculate finish "molkky" game scores?
These are rules; you get points after falling sticks (if any falls). Points are 0-?. Goal is to get 50 points. If you get over 50 points, then points go back 25 points.
As you see (attachment) Matts points are 51, so he has now 25 points.

So i got a few macros on a worksheet and one of them is simply :

Ive worked on the excel a couple of times, everything fine. Then it started crashing upon saving (after changes made that had no possible connection to the macro, on another sheet). After a few painfull trials and errors i located the problem to be this macro button. I erased it, created a new one with the EXACT macro and it works. Why?..

I would like to make a soccer game in excel, there are two divisions of eight teams, and 77 non league teams. I want to be able to enter the teams and then randomdly do the fixtures and when that is done i would like to be able to enter the scores and on another worksheet have the table.

I am trying to create a form in excel that simulates a chess board, the code was quite extensive so I better separate it into modules, because the program suddenly began to close, how do I do that? being that I have all the pieces of a chess game and some strings and boolean variables with information on the positions of the pieces on the form?

I'm trying to plot a chart of some sort in Excel to display 4 angles that different blood vessels branch off the aorta. Ideally I'd like to input the values of these angles which would vary from patient to patient and have them be displayed in some kind of chart. The chart I'm hoping to achieve would be cirular with the 4 angles represented by spokes which extend out all of the same length. I've attached a rough sketch to show what I'm trying to achieve and I'd be hoping to be able to change each angle in a worksheet and have the chart update to reflect.

As I said before, I'm trying to do this in excel only (no vba), so this is much more complicated than usual.

I am trying to use Excel to generate a game schedule for my fantasy football league. Right now I handle this task manually but I figured there has to be a way for Excel to work it out.
Let's say I have 16 teams playing 16 games. I have a table written out using numbers to represent the different teams. The x-axis has one team number per column while the y-axis has a week number in each row. The intersection of any column with each row shows the x-axis team's opponent for the week. What I want to do is substitute a team name or abbreviation for the team numbers in the body of the table and then generate a formula (or script? - I'm not sure of the correct terminology) to then produce a listing of the games each week. So the output would look something like this:
Week 1
BNS v ROC
NYL v NFB
WBB v TCF
etc...
Each 3 letter abbreviation represents a team name. This would significantly reduce the amount of manual work I have to do since Excel would generate the game schedule as above for each week and then I take that information and dump it into the software I use to run the League.

I'm trying to create a bracket for video game tournaments and I'm having trouble with some of the functionality I want it to have.
Right now, I have cells B7 and B9 that will pull player names from another check in sheet. I have another cell, D8, that I would like to have a drop down list in containing the contents of B7 and B9. Everything I see online says to use Data Validation, but apparently that tool can't make a list using cells that aren't next to each other, so that won't work. How else can I tell excel how to populate this list? It is vital that the cells be apart from each other because the visual formatting is necessary for displaying the bracket on a projector so that the players can see their match assignments.
In addition, I would like to have another drop down menu in another cell with a list of valid bracket sizes (4, 8, 16, 32, etc.), and have the cells of the sheet either be visible or invisible depending on how many max players can enter. In other words, if columns B, D, F, and H correspond to the number of rounds it will take to finish the tournament (3, 2, 1, and 0, respectively), I would like the sheet to display only the cells necessary for the tournament, pull player names into the left most cells needed from another worksheet used for sign ups, and auto populate all of the columns to the right of the column for first round with drop down lists for the players who could have won that match in the previous round.

I'm working on a dynamic payroll spreadsheet that will automatically calculate the overtime worked in a week. Right now, I'm running into a snag. My issue is with the formula in Column R. Right now, as shown below, it is doing the calculation based on regular hours minus 40 to determine the OT time. The snag is very messy and it lay in this: while the row by row calculations for total overtime worked for the week is correct, the sum at the bottom is very much off. I need an accurate method to sum the hours of overtime for the given column.
Here are the guidelines for the pay periods and overtime:
1. The pay periods for the month go from the 1st to the 15th and the 16th to EOM (End of Month). This means that the pay period could end on any given day of the week. More on this in a moment.
2. A work week is defined as Sunday to Saturday.
3. Overtime is calculated based on the rule of anything over 40 hours in a given work week.
4. Holiday hours worked do not count towards the 40 hour mark in granting overtime since Holiday pay is automatically overtime.
If it were just a matter of a bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) pay period, I would simply state =IF(weekday(DATE)=7,Hours_Worked - 40,0), and tag a SUM(range) at the bottom. Unfortunately, with it being a semi-monthly (twice a month), the end of the pay period could be a Wednesday, so a reference to day of the week won't work unless the formula can dynamically determine which set of data to evaluate.
I'm completely willing to toss out the current method of determining overtime. This is the calculations sheet that references a cleanly formatted and designed time card on a tab called "Time Card", so this isn't the full workbook. In fact, once the whole thing is done, this calculation sheet will be hidden.
Columns M and N (which are formula referenced in Column P) are basic End - Start calculations and were hidden to simplify the display as well as the number of formulas displayed.
Column L (formula referenced) is a Yes/No display for if the date in question is holiday pay.

I have a sheet which details specific card numbers in Column A, and the date and place of transaction in the Column B. This very long list contains multiple entries for each card number. What I would like to do is use Sheet2 to list each card number and the number of times it appears in the list.

I'm looking for the functionality in Excel where you can unhide/hide a group of columns or rows by clicking the plus or minus sign below the ribbon but above the spreadsheet itself. I forget how to do it, but it basically groups the columns together and hides or unhides all of them with one click.

Background: The user makes a selection from a drop down box on the main sheet (sheet5, G12). The drop-down box is linked to *Sheet31.Pax_Nav*. If the drop-down box's linked cell value is less than 5, then do nothing (manual input required). If it is greater than 5, then the vlookup matches that number to a person in the database and returns their weight. The code will pull the required person's weight but then Excel will hang and freeze.

I run the company office pool / lottery. A person selects 6 numbers 1-49. Twice a week the provincial draw is held. if your number matches the drawn number i would highlight your number on the spreadsheet. When all of your numbers are highlighted, you win. This usually takes 3-4 draws to cover all your numbers. Ideally i would like to simply enter the drawn numbers & have excel automatically highlight the number next to each persons name if they have selected that number.

I am organizing a golf scoreboard for my golf tournaments. Basically, this is what I want to do:
I would like to rank the players that are entered by their score, in ascending order. Basically, I want to take the column for "total strokes" and organize the numbers so that it will rank the numbers that are entered. If there are no numbers entered in a specific row, I don't want that "zero" to be ranked in the list. So for example, if I have five golfers but they are spread out over 10 rows, I would still need to have five numbers in the rank: 1,2,3,4, and 5, not 1 to 10, as if it were ranking the rows that have nothing entered in them.
This is how it will look:
Johnson - Strokes : 70 - Rank :1
Williams - Strokes : 75 - Rank : 3
Patterson - Strokes : 72 - Rank : 2

I'm trying to create a simple Excel spreadsheet (not looking for Access or complex relational database stuff) to have the following:
A tab with data about a person : name, date of birth, join date, and a list of sessions they attend (eg. Monday Morning, Monday afternoon etc).
A different tab in the same sheet, or a form to select from that list of people, and allow changes to the information, and the ability to save it back to the data tab. Ability to add new people or delete people would be useful.
I am looking to create this as a basis for managing sessions, creating a register etc....
Any simple spreadsheet which I can use as a starting point, or to use as a reference in getting it established?

Here is a very simple workbook/sheet with some simple date arithmetic.
I keep getting the warning that there's a circular reference in C2.
Either I need to suppress the warning so vba loops can run or PREFERABLY I'd get rid of the "circular reference".
Run with Excel 2013.

when I am trying to open them. they are not opening. When opening excel with flash game, there is big black square box. When opening power point with flash game, it is giving error "Some controls on this presentation can't be activated. They might mot be registered on this computer"
Flash objects on by browser when surfing site are working perfectly fine. i have also re-installed fresh flash from adobe site, but no success.

having trouble creating a function which does the following:
1. acknowledges the current server as a parameter (which has been randomly chosen by code i've already written)
2. generates the winner of a particular point according to pre-designated statistics
(pre designated stats are:
(a) prob of first serve being in
(b) prob of winning point on first serve
(c) prob of second serve being in
(d) prob of winning point on second serve
(if first and second serve are both out then the other player wins the pt)
3. simulates a whole game of tennis (player x serving throughout the game) and returns a winner (player x or player y)
4. then simulates a whole set
5. then simulates a match (first to 3 sets)
