Simple Button Suddenly Make Excel Crash On Saving Then Replace With New One And Work?

So i got a few macros on a worksheet and one of them is simply :

ActiveSheet.ShowAllData
End Sub
Ive worked on the excel a couple of times, everything fine. Then it started crashing upon saving (after changes made that had no possible connection to the macro, on another sheet). After a few painfull trials and errors i located the problem to be this macro button. I erased it, created a new one with the EXACT macro and it works. Why?..

I am looking to copy a simple board game in Excel
Basically it would be a simple race. Containing 4 counters (blue, green, red and Yellow) and 10 squares each.
There would be 40 cards 10 blue, 10 green, 10 red and 10 yellow. Cards would be draw randomly and the counters move respectively. I would be thinking about starting with =RANDBETWEEN(1,10).
I have no knowledge of VBA/ macro but would welcome ideas with what formulas/ commands to use.
I have added some snapshots to show what I would be looking for.

Is it possible to make excel template work only on 1 computer by giving any vba password (on lines of license number).
Aim is to ensure it works on only client computer, even if template is shared outside it becomes useless.(We often see clients audit team getting access to templates using it for thier purpose & distributing).
In same spirit what are best practices one can take like protecting formulas with password etc

I have an the excel book with sheets that are password protected so that the users cannot delete rows or columns.
In each sheet I gave permissions for certain ranges that need to be filled out only to specific users that need to fill out those cells.
The users are located and managed in the Active Directory.
The point is that each user can only update his/her sheet within the Excel book.
It was working for a day or two and then all of a sudden without any changes all the permissions were gone and every user was able to edit every sheet.

I've been trying to research how to do this for a while now and still can't figure it out. My impression is that this is fairly straightforward in Excel 2010 since the menus and ribbons are easily customizable but not so in Excel 2007.
So far I can get macro shown as a button in the Quick Access Toolbar. But the issue is that I can't organize them or customize the icons.
Is there an accepted practice for this?

We are using Excel 2007. The person I'm trying to help has a column with dollar figures format as Number with the obvious two decimal places. If we go to Home>Find&Select>Find and type in the value EXACTLY as it appears with Look in: changed to Values, it finds all instances of the value just fine.
Now, if I flip over to the Replace tab because she wants this specific dollar figure replaced with another specific dollar figure, my only option under Look in: is Formulas, so trying to perform the replace gets me a warning message that "Microsoft Office Excel cannot find a match".

I asked for a macro to delete the whole row if a duplicate customer number was found in column B. Sometimes, though, my column numbers change. So, logically thinking, I simply changed the criteria, but the macro ONLY seems to work if duplicate customer numbers are in column B only.
This code below won't work if the Customer Number is in column D instead of B even if the reference of B:B is changed to D:D, it doesn't carry the macro over.?

I'm trying to plot a chart of some sort in Excel to display 4 angles that different blood vessels branch off the aorta. Ideally I'd like to input the values of these angles which would vary from patient to patient and have them be displayed in some kind of chart. The chart I'm hoping to achieve would be cirular with the 4 angles represented by spokes which extend out all of the same length. I've attached a rough sketch to show what I'm trying to achieve and I'd be hoping to be able to change each angle in a worksheet and have the chart update to reflect.

Maybe it is the layout but I was trying to keep it simple and just put hours into a cell for each employee.
I have 2 employees per day, one in the morning and one in the evening. How to get excel to add the hours for each employee at the bottom per month. Simple right?
Here is an example of what I thought would be so easy (first week in excel spreadsheet format)

I have problems with my excel crashing all the time when I try to run my code. It seems to happen in a loop where I open a .txt file and pull data from it, then close it, and open the next one...
There are no error code, just a message that Excel has stopped working and it will be closed, and then it is forced to restart. Just a mess!

I have a piece of code in one of my Macro's, if I run the macro and don't let this piece of code run everything works fine, when I let this piece of code execute the excel file keeps running until I go to save, at which point I get a message saying "Microsoft office excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience".

Have a code to clear contents on one of my worksheets and it continually causes excel to freeze and forces me to exit the program. When the button is selected it takes approx. 30-45 seconds to clear the data and then excel freezes up. The code is as follows:

I am trying to sort a bunch of data by a custom list from left to right and after running the macro successfully excel crashes upon saving. I have tried this on different computers, resaved, started from scratch and it always crashes so there must be something with the macro that is causing this.
here is my macro:
Edit: It seems that the last line of code is causing my problem. I have started from scratch and gone though all the code one at a time and saved after each run. everything is fine until the "Application.DeleteCustomList Application.CustomListCount" is run. after that excel crashes when saved.

I am receiving the following error:
-2147417848 automation error the object invoked has disconnected from its clients
Unfortunately, I can't tell where the error is occurring because everytime it happens excel crashes or at least stops responding. I tried waiting it out (about 20 minutes) but no luck. the only thing I can do is force the program to shut down through the task manager.
The program is designed to pull information from finviz.com (a financial site), filter the data. pull the next round of data and run the filters again. there are a total of 8 queries and i think it gets hung up during the 6th or 7th run through.
Stepping through the code does not seem practical since each query might pull as many as 300 rows of data that is evaluated in a for/next loop (thats a lot of F8s).

I have been using Erik's fantastic "Force Enable Macros" code (exactly as it appears)...
force enable macros & ASK to save changes (SOLUTION)
...with the desired results (and comfort) under Excel 2003.
The code works under Excel 2007. However, if there is another workbook open at the sametime (regardless of whether Workbook two has macros or not), I get an Excel "crash";

I have created several reports containing pivot charts with slicers, pivot tables and data sets. Total file size is around 5MB. Need to do an update in my pivot table Like adding an additional grouping on one of my dimensions. As soon as I start doing so the Microsoft Excel stopped working error message pops up and my file crashes! Removing existing groupings seems for some reason to be impossible as well: nothing happens when I do this. Ahow to solve this without having to rebuild all my reports?

I've got a PDF file that I was hoping to convert into an Excel sheet, but it doesn't look like that's possible, xince I'm working with only Adobe Reader, not Acrobat. Anyway, I need to compare 1 column of this report to another report that IS in Excel. Is there a way to have a macro compare an Excel file with a PDF??

The following formula gives me the error message #REF!
=INDEX(INDIRECT("R7"),MATCH(V6,D8:D11,1),11)
The problem I believe is in the INDIRECT("R7") as the following formula works
=INDEX(Well_AA_09,MATCH(V6,D8:D11),1),11)
The content of cell R7 is the text Well_AA_09 which is the name of a dynamic range I have created and pasted from within VBA into cell R7.

Excel will hang up as if it's gone into a continuous loop (Although no looping macros are active) when you open or close a user form. The task bar in Excel will flash Ready Calculate. Visual basic reports no code is running but excel either crashes or becomes very unresponsive. I have to exit and reopen excel in order to fix the problem . It also doesn't happen at any one specific point it can vary. I have various VLOOKUPs around the workbook and userforms display the correct information. I use the INDEX formula in the control source of textboxes. I also use the offset formula to make sure DTPICKER displays correctly.
I am using 'Option Explicit' at the start of all my code. I have tried a 3rd party code cleaner. No visual Basic references are MISSING

I've developed a spreadsheet that shows what errors people made in their spreadsheets. I compare cell A1 in spreadsheet 1 (original) against cell A1 in spreadsheet 2 (final), in spreadsheet 3. Spreadsheet 3 shows a "-" if the cell they wrote was OK, and shows the new, correct value if they made an error, as follows:
=IF('Final'!A5='Original'!A5, "-",'Final'!A5)
The problem is, this only works if I take the original spreadsheets, which contain formulae in each cell, and paste them into a new spreadsheet using paste values.
Is it possible for the IF function to search the formula in a cell, and not the value?

I'm having some difficulty with this one. I have found several posts on how to make a macro work through several rows, but cannot seem to figure out how to apply it to my macro.
Right now I'm having to write the macro for every line and it's a bear! Here's what I'm working with right now and it's ridiculous (I've actually got through line 51, but I'll only post a few here, for your sanity!)- there has to be a better way:

I'm working on a Tool, where every change should be saved in a new Version. So if the user changes any number, he should click my selfcreated save-button, which takes todays date in the filename (no problem so far).
I tried to disable the "normal" save-button with:

I am currently trying to adapt the following code which is in VBA (Sheet1). It currently ensures mandatory cell entry of cell C2 before saving, and if this is not done then it would not save the item into the relevant directory. I would like to adapt this code so that cells B2 to R2 are all mandatory, and if they are not filled in a message box with the cell title (which would be in B1 to R1) would pop up. If the cells are not filled in then it will not save (the same function it carries out for cell c2 currently). The code is attached to a command button, i have tried to make the additional cells mandatory by playing around with the If Trim(.cells(2, 3).value) part of the code with the AND function etc however i have had not had any luck.

I'm trying to convert some data from MLS to make it easier to work with statistically. The raw data regarding Bath count downloads from MLS in 2 columns; 1 column for Full Baths & 1 column for Half Baths (see Raw Data.jpg). I want to concatenate the baths to one column and, if there is a 1/2 bath, tack ".5" to the end of the full bath count.
The problem with my formula is that if it concatenates the ".5" to the full bath count number, it converts the format to text (see Current Formula.jpg). I know I can go through later and convert it back to number format but is there a formula I could use that would keep it in number format?

I have generated macro, all I want is when this macro runs on different work sheets it should automatically select the active range based upon column A and copy the formula in the inserted new column B, please see the macro which will make it clear. OR can I? I get a "Run Time Error '1004' Select Method of Worksheet Class Failed"
Is there anyway around this?
Basically all the sheets are hidden from the user except for the Entry sheet. They input there data on there and then they press a send command button which then needs to copy that information to a hidden sheet. This is where the problem occurs.. Thought maybe their was a way around that or do I need to unhide the sheets during the macro and then rehide them again?
