Lookup Value Within Matching Dataset

I have a grid that I need to lookup and return the project hours for each system from the data set. The grid has the projects listed in the rows and the systems listed across the columns. The data set has a list of each projects systems hours. I am having problems with the formula when the data set has multiple records (multiple systems) for each project. It seems very simple, but I just can't get my arms around it. Please see the attached for example.

I am recording and editing steps in order to procure unique ID's from a dataset and eliminate the manual intervention for this process. Macro works seamlessly in most of the scenarios except for the one mentioned below where it performs a step which is not really required.
Let me explain the scenario in detail:
-Sheet 1 contains the list of trades as per client's system and Sheet 2 contains the trades as per internal system
-Need to do several permutation and combination in Sheet1 in order to extract the unique ID's from Sheet 2
-Scenario 1 - lets assume I have 100 records I concatenate few common fields in both sheets and use the simple code mentioned below to fill the all rows with the lookup formula
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)).Select
Selection.FillDown
First scenario itself might populate the unique id's for all the 100 trades or might give partial result which will prompt for the next scenario. If the first scenario generates the Unique ID's for 99 records I can filter on "#N/A" and update a different formula to fetch the unique id using different combination. However in the initial stage I wouldn't know the # of unmatched records because of which I have the standard selection till end and fill down codes in the macro, which would end up filling all the blank cells till the end, which takes unnecessary time.
simple validation code which ensures that if the # of unmatched record is more than 1 only then the selection till end and fill down codes comes into picture otherwise simply update the formula and populate the result.

I am looking for a formula that would lookup multiple values/result, corresponding to one given value. I have attached a spreadsheet.
Column A and Column B consists of data set.
Column J has the "LOOKUP VALUE"
Column K is where we want the lookup results. We would require the result to be in ascending order which would determine the distribution.

The attached file contains the brief but in short I'm looking for an automatic report to be generated from a given dataset. Conditional Lookup functions could be useful, but I'm getting lost in the middle of the large data. I've tried to summarise the requirements on the file. Based on the given data the output table should show which product, which SKU have zero value in which Class by Area?

I have a very large spreadsheet of customer information(I call it the master spreadsheet). Each row contains only 3 things: Account number, product bought, Price
Later I receive the money from the customer for that product(the pay sheet) that contains the exact same thing in the same order: Account number, Product bought, Price paid.
What I'm trying to do is compare the two spreadsheets so that when i receive the pay sheet of cusomters who have paid with the amount it will deduct it from the master sheet.
So it should compare account numbers when it finds a match then it should subtract the amount paid (column C) from the master spreadheet price column(column C also).
sometimes customers don't pay the right price so it has to be a subtraction so I can see if it was over paied, underpaid etc.
Right now I'm still doing it manually combining the two documents sorting it by account number and checking for matches in column A (account number).

In column "AT" I have a list of matchups between 2 soccer teams that looks like this

In columns "AM" and "AN" I have a rating for the home and away team. So for example, AM row 3 would show the rating of Tottenham and AN row 3 would show the rating of Aston Villa.
Now what I want to do is set things up so that I don't have to enter every teams' rating in manually. I need a formula that would look from bottom to top (row 10 to 1), find the first row that contains Tottenham (for example), and then look to the right to either column AM or AN (depanding on if Tottenham is the first team in the matchup or second) and return the value in that cell.

I have a need to match a reference cell to a list of cells. How do I get it to match the exact contents of the reference cell, not just whichever is closest?
I'm attaching the sheet, it's important that the contents of A13 match a string in the AG column exactly or return a null or "none" or whatever.

see teh attached file, you can see on the file. Worksheet B of B62, I typed 15254", it col name "yarn count" and the product code you can see is Q921 at cell A62. Worksheet A, you can see F2 is Q921, col name is "product code". Now I just plugin a vlaue B62 ='15254' and I want it shows on worksheet A - G2 but remember it must match the product code of worksheetB - cellA62 'Q921' and worksheet A cell F2 'Q92' because next time user will plugin a number ie.1111 on B164; where product code of worksheet B - cell A164 must be match to worksheet A - cell F3, but it should show the value 1111 on cell G3.

I am looking for a way to add cells to a master workbook from matching cells in various other workbooks. The master will have the complete list of store numbers. The other files will just show the store number that had returns. I need to add a new column to the master workbook for each of the other files. If that makes sense?? So the master report header row will have: storeno,storename,3-1-06,3-15-06,4-1-06,4-15-06, etc..... Then column a will be a listing of the store number 1 -200.

I'm trying to compare 3 different worksheet in the same workbook and copying the unmatched values into a new worksheet. find the attached file. In the sample file, am comparing sheet1, sheet2 and sheet 3 with sheet1 as the base. the columns mite differ in their location but the column headers are same.. The difference, bolded cell, should be copied along with the header and the code, into a new file and has to be saved...

I am trying to track a score. A master capacity sheet has two columns with identifiers (upstream and downstream nodes) relative to a pipe segment. I have a separate sheet (condition sheet) with the corresponding scores. I want to enter the upstream and downstream node numbers in 2 columns (A & B) in the master capacity sheet, and based on the the upstream and downstream node numbers, have the corresponding score (from the condition sheet) on that row copied in the master capacity sheet.

Im trying to work out how to write some code to find and replace from a list.
I have key data in column P on sheet 1, and a list on sheet 2 with the same key data in column C.
Basicially, every month the data on sheet 1 changes (there are usually 100 rows of data each month) and what i want to do is, write some code to look down column P on sheet 1 and for every cell, find the corrosponding value on sheet 2 (column C). When it finds the value, copy and paste it onto sheet 3 then delete the row from sheet 2.
I hve written some code that can do the first part (copy and paste) and a second macro to do the deleting....but it is only for 1 value at a time...

I have an items list on page 2. On page 1 I want to create a drop down menu in C2 that references the list on page 2. Then when I choose an item, I want the additional information in cells D2 and E2 to come in automatically. The list on page 2 will be expanding daily, and when I expand it I can simply insert a new row so I correctly alphabatize it instead of constantly having to resort it.
With that said....
1. How do you put in the drop down box that references information on a different sheet?
2. What is the best way to reference the information in my ever expanding situation: Index/Match, Vlookup, Lookup, or something I havent mentioned?

I'd like a formula that'll return the column header by matching a lookup value with a table in the second sheet.
eg: sheet 1

The formula should match the name in A2, John, with value from the table in sheet 2 and return the correct region, this case North.

I want to find the corresponding Disc Codes from a list and copy them in the DiscName column in the summary sheet. some lab names will have more than one Disc codes so when I run the macro it should bring up all the relevant Disc Codes matching with the Lab name to DiscName column.

I am trying to build a staff roster. The staff rotate over a 4 week cycle. the name of the staff member, and their shift needs to be looked up from the key then matched with the particular week. the name and shift then need to populate specific cells.

My task is to combine two large databases into one spreadsheet by extending the number of columns. The data from each database is 90% matching based on an identification number, however occasionally there are additional rows or unmatched identification numbers that need to be kept for analysis.
When this happens, there needs to be a blank row inserted to represent the missing data in the rest of the corresponding row.
I am having trouble finding a quick way to do this because I have approximately 12,000 rows (and columns up to DV when combined).
for example:

I am guessing I will need a macro of sorts, So far I have made one column that tell me if the ID's are matching or not (1 or 0) and if they are not matching (0) I manually insert the rest of the row that is missing or make space for the duplicate data (which needs to remain).

programming 2 macros in a bank reconciliation sheet I am trying to create.
Basically the data consists of two sets: the ledger side and bank side. Both sides consists of multiple columns that include date, description and amount.
The following two situations can occur and which need to be covered with a macro.
Many to one matching
When we make payments to say 100 different suppliers at once, the ledger side will show 100 lines with the different amounts. However on the bank side it will only show one line with a total amount for the transaction. As the description on the ledger side is the same for all transactions done at the same time, it should be possible to have a macro add these lines and compare the total with entries on the bank side. Once a matching amount has been found, the macro should place an ‘x’ next to all entries on the ledger and bank side, in order to show that these transactions have been reconciled.
Partial cell matching
In this case we are only dealing with one line on both the ledger and bank side. The issue is that the description does not always perfectly match with one another. The ledger side might say ‘Brown Corp.’ and the bank side might say ‘Brown Corporation’. I want to come up with a macro that can recognize this partial match and still reconcile the lines by placing a ‘x’ to both the ledger and bank entry. The match however should be done with a combination of description, date and amount as several different bookings might be done for the same supplier in the same month.

I have a table with State and Suburbs. I want to look at both these within another sheet to ensure the post code is correct......
In the attached I want to show in Sheet1 Column D the post code from Sheet2. As there may be suburbs with the same name within Sheet1 I need to ensure the correct Postcode for the suburb and the state.

I have a set of 5,800+ data points between 0 and 1 that I would like to multiply together. When I use PRODUCT for the whole set, the formula returns 0. However, I can use a smaller subset of the data to return a very small number. I'm curious if Excel has a closest-number-to-0 or number-of-cells-for-PRODUCT limitation. Is there another way to perform this calculation?

I was recently helped very much by the forum moderator and code from D_Rennie in a file to transpose about 25,000 rows into a few organized columns. The code worked very well. I have a slightly new twist on the problem. I have uploaded a different file with a different data structure in the columns but the same need for the data to be transposed to the columns under the same headings. This VBA worked very well before, but I can't seem to re-use it for this new dataset.

I have a spreadsheet which has general usage and summary data at the top for ease of use. Begining at Row 15 the data is a standard table which includes columns for the following.
Cust Name | Status | Loan Amt | etc.
I have created a macro to make it easier to add new data rows at the top of the data already in the file (this makes it easier to view with the newest data at the top). I would like to create a conditional sum of the data in "Loan Amt" if the value in "Status" ="Active". I had no problem achieving this with the conditional sum tool but the problem is that the range changes whenever a new row is added to the top of the list. Unfortunately the range in the conditional sum adjusts as the old data shifts down for the new row and the sum does not contain the new row data.

a macro (that i will link to a control button) that will autofilter a data set. The problem i have is the macro i wrote below, It might not be the best looking macro in the world, but it would work for my purposes if i can get the part that does the autofiltering to be more dynamic. meaning, instead of a hard coding "Retail" in the macro, id like it to reference a cell so that the user can type whatever they want, then click the button and it will filter based on what they type in.

I am looking for a macro that is capable of deleting all rows in a dataset where the following statements are not true: column B is equal to "OP00" (o, p zero zero), the left hand character of C is equal to "L" and D is equal to "CC", as in the scenario below.
