Lookup Matching Data On Another Worksheet

see teh attached file, you can see on the file. Worksheet B of B62, I typed 15254", it col name "yarn count" and the product code you can see is Q921 at cell A62. Worksheet A, you can see F2 is Q921, col name is "product code". Now I just plugin a vlaue B62 ='15254' and I want it shows on worksheet A - G2 but remember it must match the product code of worksheetB - cellA62 'Q921' and worksheet A cell F2 'Q92' because next time user will plugin a number ie.1111 on B164; where product code of worksheet B - cell A164 must be match to worksheet A - cell F3, but it should show the value 1111 on cell G3.

I have a very large spreadsheet of customer information(I call it the master spreadsheet). Each row contains only 3 things: Account number, product bought, Price
Later I receive the money from the customer for that product(the pay sheet) that contains the exact same thing in the same order: Account number, Product bought, Price paid.
What I'm trying to do is compare the two spreadsheets so that when i receive the pay sheet of cusomters who have paid with the amount it will deduct it from the master sheet.
So it should compare account numbers when it finds a match then it should subtract the amount paid (column C) from the master spreadheet price column(column C also).
sometimes customers don't pay the right price so it has to be a subtraction so I can see if it was over paied, underpaid etc.
Right now I'm still doing it manually combining the two documents sorting it by account number and checking for matches in column A (account number).

I am looking for a way to add cells to a master workbook from matching cells in various other workbooks. The master will have the complete list of store numbers. The other files will just show the store number that had returns. I need to add a new column to the master workbook for each of the other files. If that makes sense?? So the master report header row will have: storeno,storename,3-1-06,3-15-06,4-1-06,4-15-06, etc..... Then column a will be a listing of the store number 1 -200.

I'm trying to compare 3 different worksheet in the same workbook and copying the unmatched values into a new worksheet. find the attached file. In the sample file, am comparing sheet1, sheet2 and sheet 3 with sheet1 as the base. the columns mite differ in their location but the column headers are same.. The difference, bolded cell, should be copied along with the header and the code, into a new file and has to be saved...

I have a "cat_no" file and a "master inventory" file.
I need to do a vlookup to match the catalog #'s and mfr name in the cat_no file and the master inventory file. I also need to pull the pricing and packing string from the master inventory file and add it to the cat_no file where item numbers match.

I have two worksheets, in worksheet1 i have a table containing two columns, " names" and "projects". In worksheet2 is where I ask for the name of the project. How do I retrieve all the "names" in worksheet2 that have the same "project" to worksheet1.
I know I made a similar thread in here, but that one was answered quite quickly. Then I learned that my question was written quite wrong and so the answer didn't help me much. I thought about rephrasing the question, but I read that this is a one question on one thread forum.

I have rankings from several different sources all with different rankings for different people with a different number of people in each set of rankings.
I would like to match the names from each ranking set and place the corresponding ranking into one worksheet. I have done this without the code but over the course of the next couple of months the rankings will be changing.
I have them importing from the web so when they update I would also like for my rankings to update. Attached is the rankings each in their own worksheet.
The final sheet is what the end product looks like.

I have found the following code on this forum that has really worked well. This code matches the first two columns of two worksheets and inputs them into a third worksheet. But I need to be able to copy up to five more columns, a total of seven columns and have it input into the third worksheet. I am not sure what it means "For Each c In Sht1Rng". look at the code and advise me of what I need to do.

I'm building a spreadsheet for a sporting franchise using a pull-down validation menu. Once the opposing team name is selected from the drop down menu, I would like it to display the opposing teams players and their statistics.
On the database worksheet, I have a web query pulling names and statistics from the web. Each player name has his team name in his corresponding row. What function can I use that will search for that team name and report it back to the display sheet? Once I have the player name there, I think I can figure the statistic portion... But I can't seem to figure out how to pull all of the players with the matching team name into my display sheet.
Example:
A1 on worksheet "A" contains a pull down menu with team names "Lightning", "Storm", "Magic", and "Thunder".
A16-A20 on worksheet "B" contains players from team "Lightning"
A21-A25 on worksheet "B" contains players from team "Storm"
A26-A30 on worksheet "B" contains players from team "Magic"
A31-A35 on worksheet "B" contains players from team "Thunder"
B16-B20 on worksheet "B" contains team name "Lightning"
B21-B25 on worksheet "B" contains team name "Storm"
B26-B30 on worksheet "B" contains team name "Magic"

hello. i'm new to excel and i'm really hoping for some serious help here. i have the basics down however i'm really stumped at this point. Let me try to explain my worksheet. the worksheet has a sheet for data which is used for drop list values in the new patient template sheet. the new patient template which is just that a blank entry sheet that the user duplicates and adds a new patient to the worksheet to track the visits made by medical staff. there could be over a hundred new patient sheets (each named by the patient) at any given time.
here is what i need help with: my sheet is setup on a monthly basis so each patient has a total of 4 - 5 weeks listed with entries for everytime a nurse visits that patient. what i need to know is how to search the cell entries for the first time a visit occurred and the date it occurred and this needs to be broken down by the 1st of the month - the 15th and then again for the 16th - the end of month for every patient sheet in the workbook. the ranges are not together that i need to search for example f14:f20, i14:i20, f35:f41 and so on for the first 15 days of the month. this all needs to happen like in a macro or somehow automatically.

I have a few row headings on a fresh worksheet (called "New" like so for A1, B1 and C1 for example):
Date Amount Title
I then have raw data on another worksheet. This data has many column headings (more than on the "New" sheet) and the data for that heading in the column underneath heading. So the Date column will have say 50 rows of dates in the column. What I want to do in VBA is match the headings from the "New" worksheet to the raw data worksheet ("Data") and then copy and paste the data into the column under the row heading in "New" from "Data".
with the code for this? I have tried using MATCH and I can't get it to work. I'm also looking for an efficient way to do this I'm sure I am doing it a very inefficient way.

I have some specific requirement and it would be great if I could do it through macro. Also attached a sample excel file for the requirement. I have raw data in a worksheet (WS1) that I receive daily from factory. There is another sheet in a different workbook (WS2) that has format specified on how to display this raw data. The order of raw data on WS1 remains same. The question is that how do I replace the format titles with raw data?
For example, in the attached excel sheet, sheet "data" has list of values. Sheet "format" says how to display data. Sheet "output" is output that I finally want to generate. The sheet "data" will always have data in the same order. I need to read values and replace the format title ( name, age etc) with corresponding values on "data" sheet.

I am attempting to place a formula in cell b3 in the attached spreadsheet on the "sheet to pull data into" tab 1 (cell is highlighted yellow) to retrieve value in the yellow highlighted cell in the "Sheet that contains data" which is on a seperate worksheet within the same workbook.
The cells highlighted red in the "sheet to pull into" tab (cells: a1, a3, b1, and b3) are the criteria that needs to be matched to those cells on "sheet that contains data" tab in order to ensure the value returned is correct.Sample of problem.xlsx <----see the attached sample spreadsheet.

I have two series of dates – one daily series and the other is the hourly series – running in parallel. The daily series has the values which correspond to them – YES and NO columns which can be either 1 or 0. I need for each line on the hourly series to have the corresponding value of the YES and NO from the daily sheet. I am not sure how this can be done. I need this to be done by formulas only as this sheet only represents a condensed version of the larger workbook.

I have been working on a macro and am trying to find an answer. To date I have not found what I am looking for so I thought I might ask for assistance.
I have 2 Worksheets that I am working with and I am trying to paste data from one to the other.
The Worksheet1 is my control sheet. The Worksheet2 contains data that I am trying to move to Worksheet1.
Worksheet1 has 3 columns:Ledger #, Balance 1 and Balance 2
Worksheet2 has 2 columns (not named), which are: Ledger # and Balance
I want to move the Balance on Worksheet2 to Worksheet1 and place the data in the Balance 2 column.
For example, the macro would start and look at the value in Worksheet2.A1 and match it against the value in Worksheet1.A5. If there was a match, then the value from Worksheet2.B1 would be pasted in Worksheet1.C5
I have attached a sample workbook.
My goal is to have Worksheet1 have the Ledger # with the 2 different balances (I will balance those 2 columns later).

I am wanting to do is have the values from a number of cells on sheet2 returned to sheet1. The catch for me is that I am using the validation command on sheet1. When I select an item in the validation field I want to return data that belongs with that selection. It may be best with an example....
On sheet2 I have a list of companies in Col.A, their street address in Col.B & their phone number in Col.C.
On sheet1 I have a Validation field that lets me select from the list of companies...
When a Company is selected I want to have the address data & phone numbers returned and placed in the cells beside the Validation box.

I have been using a look up that should be bringing me back a numeric value when i enter a certain code that relates to that value.
When i enter the code 267760RuVw the number brought back shoud be 850
When i enter the code 532210BiMe the number brought back should be 2000
The look up that i am using is =VLOOKUP(B4,Lorry!B3:O37,14)
All my sheets are in the same workbook
The look up value is on a sheet called "Pricing" and the table array is on a sheet called "Lorry"
The cell that the look up is entered into just returns N/A
Why is this not working?

My task is to combine two large databases into one spreadsheet by extending the number of columns. The data from each database is 90% matching based on an identification number, however occasionally there are additional rows or unmatched identification numbers that need to be kept for analysis.
When this happens, there needs to be a blank row inserted to represent the missing data in the rest of the corresponding row.
I am having trouble finding a quick way to do this because I have approximately 12,000 rows (and columns up to DV when combined).
for example:

data
data

[Code] .....
needs to become:
p1
data
data
data
data
[Code] .....
I am guessing I will need a macro of sorts, So far I have made one column that tell me if the ID's are matching or not (1 or 0) and if they are not matching (0) I manually insert the rest of the row that is missing or make space for the duplicate data (which needs to remain).

I have a grid that I need to lookup and return the project hours for each system from the data set. The grid has the projects listed in the rows and the systems listed across the columns. The data set has a list of each projects systems hours. I am having problems with the formula when the data set has multiple records (multiple systems) for each project. It seems very simple, but I just can't get my arms around it. Please see the attached for example.

In column "AT" I have a list of matchups between 2 soccer teams that looks like this

In columns "AM" and "AN" I have a rating for the home and away team. So for example, AM row 3 would show the rating of Tottenham and AN row 3 would show the rating of Aston Villa.
Now what I want to do is set things up so that I don't have to enter every teams' rating in manually. I need a formula that would look from bottom to top (row 10 to 1), find the first row that contains Tottenham (for example), and then look to the right to either column AM or AN (depanding on if Tottenham is the first team in the matchup or second) and return the value in that cell.

I have a data table that contains begin dates, end dates, and colors. The data is input starting with the earliest begin date. On a second worksheet, I have a listing of the years starting with the year of the first begin date and ending with the end of this year. I need to be able to pull any color choices associated with a year from the data table on the first worksheet. Some years may not be specifically listed in the data sheet as the person could have had the same color choice for several years. Sometimes a person could have more than one color choice in a year.
I am at a loss for how to get to the data I need. I created an example spreadsheet to demonstrate the data I am working with, and an example of what I need my results to look like in the end.

i dont know what is the correct range inside the match fuction to identiy the row number inside the Data sheet, i think the solution would be match(a2,Data!a2:a13,0) but things might get complicated if you have multiple worksheet such as sheet2: Data , sheet3: Data2, sheet3: Data 3
and each table has unsorted details compared to others sheets (Data vs Data 2)

I'm looking to create a macro that will take data from an input sheet, and paste it into a cell in another worksheet, based on criteria specified in sheet1.
Specifically in the attached example, the macro would copy the data in cells C8:C10 of sheet 1, then paste them into sheet 2 based on the data specified in cell B3 i.e. it would paste them into the column headed Mar-09. I intend to make this cell a drop down, so that the user can then select the next reporting month and run the macro again to paste the data into the Apr-09 column.

I have a need to match a reference cell to a list of cells. How do I get it to match the exact contents of the reference cell, not just whichever is closest?
I'm attaching the sheet, it's important that the contents of A13 match a string in the AG column exactly or return a null or "none" or whatever.
