Macro :: Paste The First 10 Lines Of Every Page With A Header
May 7, 2008
I need to paste the first 10 lines of every page with a header.
I do not want to use a header, I want to designate every page to copy the first 10 lines from the first page and add those 10 lines. The "header" can not overwrite current data but needs to push it down 10 lines.
I have a booklet I want to print from Excel 2000. I'm not seeing how to have the HEADER on page one only. The header is coming up on all pages. Is there a way to tell Excel to print the Header on page one only?
I'm trying to get my macro to paste the header row along with the data it's pulling. The code works without the ActiveSheet.Paste portion, but i want to be able to add that in somewhere. Here's the Sub DataCreate() Dim lstrw As Long, x As Long, y As Long, c As Range, fnd As String Dim nxtrw As Long, dest As Worksheet, ws As Integer, caddress As String Dim destwb As Workbook, srcwb As Workbook, src As Worksheet, src2 As Worksheet
Set srcwb = ActiveWorkbook Set src = srcwb.Sheets("CUSTOMER ID") 'Change sheet name ot fit the sheet that has your list of unique ids
Application.ScreenUpdating = False Application.Calculation = xlCalculationManual lstrw = src.Cells(Rows.Count, "a").End(xlUp).Row For x = lstrw To 2 Step -1 fnd = src.Cells(x, 1) Workbooks.Add.SaveAs fnd & ".xls" Set destwb = Workbooks(fnd & ".xls") Set dest = destwb.Sheets("sheet1") For ws = 1 To 1 Set src2 = srcwb.Sheets(ws) If WorksheetFunction.CountIf(src2.Range("b:b"), fnd) Then With src2 With .Range("b:b") Set c = .Find(what:=fnd, after:=.Cells(1, 1),
I'm looking for a way to write a macro to insert 5 lines at the end of the data in column A. Then I want to copy a range into the newly inserted lines. I would press a button anytime I need this to occur.
Current last line of data A39
Need to insert 5 rows after A39
Then copy range BA30:CB34 into the newly inserted rows.
I have to the following lines in the header (left side). Canadian Mutual Fund Industry Gross Sales By Fund Company As at January 31, 2006 (FYTD Tier 1 Firms) (C$ 000's)
the date is Strored in strDatey. the problem I m having is that I don't know how to make muliple lines in the header through the code.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() Dim strHeader As String Dim strDatey As String Sheets("FYTD Gross (Tier 1)").Select strDatey = "April 20" MsgBox (strDatey) strHeader = strHeader & "Canadian Mutual Fund Industry " & strDatey ' text strDatey
ActiveSheet.PageSetup.LeftHeader = strHeader End Sub
I need to create a macro to "paste special - values", therefore I have coded
"Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues"
It works well if copy and paste special within the same excel sheet. However, when I ctrl C on any other website and revert back to excel to use my macro to paste special, it cannot work.
it was possible to have my header which is in row1 to printed at the top of every page without having to manually put it at the the top myself. this is for printing only as i have frozen panes to make sure its always visible when in spreadsheet
I have a database that starts on row 10 with header information in row 9 explaining the purpose of the data for each column. In rows 1 through 8 I have general information that when I print the database - I would want on the first printed page (as well as the beginning rows of the database) and have the remaining print pages be the remaining portions of the database but have the header row (row 9) at the top of each - like a header row.
I know how to goto FILE > PAGE SETUP > SHEET > ROWS TO REPEAT AT TOP: - but this will put row 9 at the top of ALL pages...which I want, but not on the first page. I'm ok with making a print button with a macro...but no idea where to begin with the vba code to do this.
I have spent some time looking through the forum and even looked at Microsoft Excel help file and cannot seem to get exactly what I need. I have worksheets that I found the code on this site that I can put page breaks every so many rows. I have it set for 26 so it will break for every 25 counting the header. Here is the
Sub PageBreaks() For I = 27 To 760 Step 25
ActiveSheet.HPageBreaks.Add Before:= Range("A" & I) Next I End Sub
The problem I am having is when I print the first page it has the headers in them, for example.
LastName, FirstName, StuID, GrdLvl
How can I get a row placed right after each page break with with the column headers so each sheet I print will have the headers with the 25 rows of informatio. But then not be there after I print so If I need to sort I won't have a problem with all the headers.
Cell 1A = Lot# Cell 1B = Last Name Cell 1C = First Name Cell 1D = Phone. I need Row1 to be repeated on each page. The list has about 200 names. We live in a senior community so the list changes quite often.
I'm trying to make a task tracking spreadsheet. Each part (or project) that I'm working on has it's own sheet. On those sheets, in a specified column (let's say column A for now) I would like to add a tag or date that I can use to create a summary sheet. The summary sheet would have a macro that looks through each sheet in the file and if the value of the tag matches a specified value, the summary sheet would be populated with everything in each row that has that value for the tag.
I lost the formatting in a 6 page spreadsheet. It repeated the top row, much as a header. I constantly delete and add rows, so it was nice to have the row in place as I scroll. It was better than freeze pane.
I'm working on a simple spreadsheet with individuals divided among teams. Each team is separated by a page break, so the column displaying Team Name repeats the same team name all down a page, and then another team name all down the next page, and so on. I've been searching for a way to display one instance of each Team Name as the Page Header (or just at the top of each page) upon printing. I've included an attachment for reference.
I need a macro that will print a hidden page that is linked to the page I have active.
It needs to be able to find the correct hidden page that corresponds to the active page because there are multilple pairs of the hidden/visible pages. The name of the hidden page is the same as the visible one with "printout" added to the end. When created, the sheet code names are sheetn and sheetm; n and m being consecutive numbers.
Trying to paste filtered results except header row. My code below pastes the header row for "Details" 2x. I tried altering the row to row 2, but that caused incorrect results to be returned.
Detail - Sales First I filter the data range for " Total Sales" Paste the results with header row to wsDetails
Details - Details Then filter the data again for "N" I would like to paste these results to wsDetails w/o the header
Option Explicit Sub comp_pl_ytd_Totals() Dim wbBook As Workbook Dim wsData As Worksheet Dim wsTotals As Worksheet Dim wsDetails As Worksheet Dim wsExtract As Worksheet Dim rngData As Range Dim rngCrit As Range Dim rngDest As Range Dim arrCrit Dim myRange As Range Dim C As Range Dim lngrows As Long Dim strFormula As String Dim rngCase As Range With Application . ScreenUpdating = False .DisplayAlerts = False .Calculation = xlCalculationManual End With................
I am looking for some example code that when I get an error using workbook.open, because a file is corrupt, I can cut from the list and paste into a range to show that file had errors, then delete that row and continue.
For example
My list: Column A Column B Errors List Error File path B and name Information File Path A Information File path C and name Information File path D and name Information
I can cut and paste File path C into an errors list, then delete the row A and B and shift the below lines up.
I have a file that has simple stats for multiple days. At the end of each day is a "Summary" line. I can't figure out how to find the lines that have the word Summary in them and copy all the values in that line to another sheet. I've made a mock up of my data. I have minimal experience with Macros, but am learning quickly.
I have a spreadsheet and I was wondering if there is a way to copy from a specific range in say A1:A5 in Sheet1 and paste into Sheet2 where the column matches cell A1 in Sheet1.
I am trying to do this in VBA and I was wondering if there is a way to do this.
When I view a sheet under Page Break Preview, it shows the Page numbers in the centre of the Page. While I am aware that it would not print the page number I was wondering if there is an option to remove/hide the page numbers.
I need to remove all existing page breaks in a document and add a page break every 72 rows. I've tried some similar codes from this forum with other functions that I don't need in it.
I'm having an excel sheet with addresses. I need to copy some lines of the first sheet to the other sheet. Between the lines I want to copy there are 7 lines which shouldn't be copied.
I created the following macro which does the job: ...
