Match Category IDs To Campaign Names With Inexact VLookup Matches

I have several Campaign Names (about a thousand) and about 25000 categories (with ID's) to choose from and would like to assign the Category ID's to the Campaign Names without doing manual searches. My problem is that the names are not similar enough for vlookup and I didn't get any usable results with the fuzzy lookup add in either.

I need to change the following statement to look for inexact values; i.e. the string of text (ABC) can be found in any position of that cell.
Example 12345ABC = True, 123ABC456 = True, etc.

i'm trying to do with an index match formula. My index match formula goes through a list and returns a date based on an email address. My issue I have is what if there are multiple entries that match that email address? How do I return the most recent date?
e.g. worksheet 1 has all the data
A B C
email ID date
worksheet 2 has a list of specific email addresses i'm looking for info on
A B
email date
My formula in column B of worksheet 2 is along the lines of this:
index(worksheet1 C:C,match(worksheet2 A1, worksheet 1 A:A,false))
basically saying where you find the email address in A1 listed in column A of worksheet 1, return in B1 the value in the column of that row in worksheet1.
The thing is we could have the same email address listed a number of times, so i'm looking for the latest date to be returned, not the first one it finds.

I am trying to get a formula to work that looks up a vendor, and then checks the quantity of their order (less than 99999999, less 500, less than 200, and less than 50). I get either a #NAME or #N/A when I try to use what I have written. I tried to include an =index(array,AND(Match(row 1,exact match),Match(row 1 less than quantity),Match(row 1,greater than quantity)),Match(rate,exact match)) returning the variable rate. I have had no luck using vlookup and pivot tables.

I am trying to use the vlookup fxn to display employee names according their in-time (10:30 for this example). I have multiple employees in at 10:30 so I need to find a way using vlookup to accomplish this.

The other worksheets in this workbook are various Floorplans depending on how many employees are scheduled that day with a column designated to the employee's name(B), and a column for their in-time (C). Here is a sample of the '8 Server Floorplan':

Finding the first 10:30 match with vlookup is fine, my issue starts when trying to find the next 10:30 match, since vlookup only finds the first match (this is happening in B9).
Here is the sample of cells showing my formulas for finding the address of the first '10:30' match from my initial vlookup fxn (O5 and P5):

I thought by just finding the address of the first match (Master!D16), incrementing it by 1 (=D17) and plugging the cell containing this formula (P5) into my data range, that it would force the vlookup formula to adjust its data range from D4:W38 to D17:W38. This, in turn would then find the first match for 10:30 and so on for anyother identical in-times...

if a value appears in a column 4 times or more how can you do a vlookup which will show the 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th values.
when i currently write the vlookup formula it shows the 4th time the value appears

My user has a worksheet that is hundreds of rows long. Column A contains the SerialNumber, col D contains the PartNo and col E contains the SerialNo. She wants her formula in col B to match the SerialNumber with SerialNo then return the value from PartNo into col B. =Index(PartNo,Match(A2,SerialNo,0)) gets me the match that I'm looking for so I thought I was done. Not so...she now tells me that there are duplicate, triplicate, etc., matches and the formula obviously is only pulling in the first match.
When she has a duplicate, she needs to have cells inserted into Col A & B. She does not want a whole row inserted because the PartNo and SerialNo will already be in the right places. I've tried inserting a helper column to enumerate the duplicates but I can't it to work. I also tried using ROWS in the formula to work with the duplicates but that only confused me. I'm pretty sure I'll need a macro to do this but I'm getting nowhere.

I am trying to connect a special date and a price to a special name (please see the attached file).
In sheet 1 I have the following:
- In column A I have a set of different names.
- In column B I have a set of different dates.
- In column C I have a set of different prices on bonds that off course refers to the different names at their respective dates.
In rest of the sheets I want an overview of the different bonds, and what their prices are at the exact date. The problem is that if I use the vlookup it is only the first value that will be extracted. How can I get all of the prices corresponding to the different dates to the correct bond. I also want the possibility to update this every day.

I am getting #N/A errors even when I have an apparently exact match in my
table array to the lookup value. I know that excel requires the formats to
be exactly the same and I can force the match if I copy the lookup value from
my table array and paste it into the worksheet. Is there an easy way to
"fix" my table array. The table array is a reference worksheet I have
created which has worked in the past.

I have the following formula which, if text is in A1, will lookup from a list of worker's comp codes to locate the code in A2 and return the wording for that
=IF(ISTEXT(A$1),VLOOKUP(A$2,Codes!$B$3:$C$720,2),"")
However, if there is not an exact match to the code in A2, it returns the wording for the next closest code.
Is there a way to make it so that it will only return the wording for the exact match and return "invalid code" if the number in A2 is not found on the list on the "Codes" sheet?

I want to vlookup from sheet2 cell E2 to find all matches in sheet1 in coulmn G and add totals together in coulmn E. The match I am looking for is used in several rows of coulmn G on sheet1. I only want cell E2 on sheet2 to give me total amount from data in coulmn E of sheet1 when a match is found in coulmn G of sheet1.

Column A would be Recipe Numbers, Column B the Planned Total.
I want to search column A for all matching recipe numbers.
Then, any recipes that match, look in column B for the planned totals, adding all incidents where they match.
Then the most difficult part, which just occured to me now.
I only need the Total Planned Total and Recipe name reported once.

I will not be able to sort these lists.

I've researched for the first part... and it seems like Match will only find the first match and not look further? Am I wrong on this?
How to display the results hadn't even occured to me yet, since I was still trying to figure out how to GET the result.

I need a macro to start at cell "A1" on sheet1 and then find that same value on sheet 2 in column B. Once it finds that value in sheet 2, the code would copy the row related to "A1" (A1:H1) into the row on sheet 2 with the value matching "A1" from sheet 1. Once it has done this I need it to do the same from A2:A598. I thought this code below was working but it seems to erase a row from sheet 2 if it is not present in sheet 1. I need the macro to only update the row if the information in column A on both sheets is the same. Here is the code I am using

I would like to match column data in a source spreadsheet to column data in a target sheet. If a match is found, I would like to copy the corresponding row range from the source sheet to a separate, third sheet. For values where no match in found in the a target sheet, I would color the unmatched cell in the target sheet red. If a match was found, the cells would be colored green. The data in the Source sheet is in column A, while the Data in the Target sheet is in Column T. The data will be pased in the third sheet in Column T preserving original formats
I have this code, gleaned from several postings on this forum that somewhat works. The problem is that I get false mismatches (i.e. some cells get colored red even when there is a match and the data got copied to the third sheet) even though there are no duplicates. I have made sure that the formats are identical in both Target and Source sheets to try to fix this. Also, I don't want to cut the entire row , but just copy and paste a row range onto a third sheet. The column and row ranges are variable. I am attaching a file.!!

I've information in two sections of a worksheet, columns A and B (range named "temp1") and columns D and E (range named "temp2"). I should also say that the reason I have two sections is that each section will have about 150 rows, so instead of having a huge list of 300 rows, I've tried splitting them into two sections.

What I want to do it show all the results that match the value 1 using a vlookup formula. Also the values in column A and D may change, i.e if value 4 in D1 changed to 1, I would expect to see "d" included in the results.
This is the original formula I got somewhere else which sorts out my vlookup on multiple matches issue.

I have a name in one column and the data in another. I am trying to match the name and the category and turn the column data into a row data. I have attached a sample of two sets of data since my explanation here may be lacking. Orriginal data is in columns A and B. Basically I think I need a double text lookup (matching the name and category) and put the data in a row format.

I have three very large columns that I need to deduplicate and dump back into three separate email campaign databases.
Here's the scenario:
First column: Largest (15,000+ records)
Second column: Medium (10,000+ records)
Third column: Small (7.000 records)
I need to know if the first column contains dupes from the second & third columns. If so, I must delete the DUPES ONLY so I have unique email addresses remaining in column 1. Then I need to know if the second column contains dupes from the first and third column. If so, I must delete the DUPES ONLY so I have unique email addresses remaining in column 2.
Then I need to know if the third column contains dupes from the first and second column. If so, I must delete the DUPES ONLY so I have unique email addresses remaining in column 3. I can't just dump all of them in one column and auto filter on "unique records only" because the three columns MUST remain separate from each other.

I am having some trouble getting a formula to work. I am building a report that pulls figures from a pivot table in another workbook. I am using a vlookup with match function to get the column index to find the relevant data I want. Where I need to add two columns together I am using sum, with the vlookup & match formulas nested in them e.g.:

Where:
F13 = Employee number
Column C on the pivot 156 workbook is where the employee number is based.
The Match formula is then getting the column index from the column headings of the pivot table ie. "FAID"
This in itself works fine, as long as it finds a match in the column headings. This is where i get the error as in the above function "COMD" is not in the pivot table. However I need to keep it included as it may appear on a future pivot table. Is there a way of getting the sum function to complete even though later in the formula it can't complete the vlookup? So it will ignore it, or assume the value is zero if it can't find it? The formula probably needs to do this for all the vlookups as some headings may drop off in future pivot tables.

I am trying to match data from 2 independent sets, formatted slightly differently so not sure which function would work best for me. From the attached file, I am trying to match the date and time stamp (in cell A1) with that from the other data (in this example in cell E1) and return the data (from cell F1) to cell C1. So basically any date and time stamp before 04/03/09 04:00 will return a value of 44 (this value should appear, therefore in cells C1 - C30)

in two seperate worksheet i download external data from 2 different website with some stats about teams. Problem is that theses websites user slighty different names for the teams ie. it will be man city from one source and manchester city from another. i need to somehow get the names to match up is there an easy way to do this?

I am trying to find a formula that populates a room number based on the number of hours used. I have a chart that is by building but multiple rooms within each.
Where I am having trouble is when there are more than one room with the same number of hours used then sometimes the formula populates the wrong room number.

I have shown what I need, what I have tried and a blank space to show where I need it to go.

I have data sets on multiple worksheets within a workbook (over 70). Based on the begining of a string, I need to count all instances with that begining, and if there are fewer than 12 instances, delete the entire row.
Data set example:
In this example, I need to count each instance of rows starting with 1/* - 9/*, and delete rows as mentioned. In other data sets the string might start Gi1/*, and so on. In the following code, if I do not loop, and only test against 1 value type, and ONLY run it once, it works. As soone as I try to loop through all possibilities, or run the macro a second time, it blanks out the entire worksheet, starting at row 3.
