Merging Sheets / Copying Cells From X Sheets Into 1 Sheet

I have merged 336 individual spreadsheets into one book, now I want to merge the data in all the sheets into 1 individual sheet. All the sheets have the same size and range, I need to copy a constant range(row,column) from all the different sheets into one.

What VBA functions to use???

I have two sets of data--on the first sheet I have each of the fifty states and the # of people in each age range. On the second sheet, I have the fifty states and the motor vehicle death rate per 100,000. I need to get these two things merged onto a 3rd sheet, with the 50 states being my common variable. I have to do this using some sort of formula.

Merging Multiple Excel Sheets Into One Sheet

I have a workbook with multiple sheets (21 sheets) in it. The header on each sheet begins at row B5. The actual data starts from row B6. The number of rows in each sheet varies and the last row contains the total for all columns that has numbers. I wish to have one sheet that combines data from all the 21 sheets. But;

1) The header should be repeated only once
2) Only the rows that has data should be included, blank rows should be ignored
3) I do not need the last row i.e. total to be considered while merging the sheets

I've given a snapshot of the data below. The first column contains the row number just for reference.

Macro Is Selecting Blank Cells When Merging Sheets?

I have some reports that I run that go out to analyst daily and I use this script to merge all the documents together. They are the same everytime. However it includes a series of blank rows because the vba I use to create them I believe causes this. Is there a command to remove the VBA when merging them together. Here is the selection copy piece.

Copying DATA From Main Sheet Into Different Sheets

I have a data sheet that I enter all data into. I would like to divide the data into different sheets depending on the month the job was entered. Please see a sample I have attached. I have tried to convert the month (colE) into a figure (colF). I am hoping the data automatically copies across into the correct month sheet or perhaps I can push a button and it will do it for me. Data will get entered on a daily basis by staff but only onto the main sheet, this will then by some miracle be duplicated into the corresponding sheet without loosing any data on the main sheet.

Simultaneously Copying Data From Multiple Sheets To A Single Sheet

I have a workbook containing about 20 sheets. I need to find a way of pasting all the numbers in the A column in each sheet (sheets 1-20) to the last sheet so I get a great big list of all the numbers in the 20 sheets. How would I go about doing this?

Right now I'm cutting and pasting from sheet 1 to my last sheet, then from sheet 2 to my last sheet, then from sheet 3 to my last sheet... Is there a quicker way? The ranges in each of the sheets start at A2 and go down a few cells. Sheet 4 might have 4 numbers in the A column, sheet 12 might have 47, sheet 17 might have 8 and so on.

How would I go about getting all the A columns in the sheets to the last sheet?

I'll throw up a few screenshots if the problem is unclear

I have an master excel file with 20 sheets with names x,y,z,a,b,c,f,.... Each and every sheet has data which start from Row 7 and Column 2. Now i need to consolidate this data in one sheet in another excel file.

Consolidation should be like

Suppose X sheet has 20 rows and 4 columns of data which starts from Row 7 and Column 2, this data has to be copied and pasted in my new excel file copied on my desktop. Now first 20 rows are occupied in new excel file.

Now code should move on to master excel file Sheet Y which has 45 rows and 4 columns of data which starts from Row 7 and Column 2,this data has to be copied and pasted in my new excel file from row 21, which means Master excel file sheets has to be clubbed to one consolidated excel file.

In All the sheets in Master file Data starts from Row 7 and column 2.

Data range varies row wise in each sheet but column length is fixed to 4.

I have data for each month as a worksheet from 1970-2012. They are in a workbook with the recent years at first and the oldest years at the end/..

Like 2012Dec,2012Nov...............1970Feb,1970Jan

I would like to know how to write a macro to copy a range of data from Jan 1970 then add data from Feb 1970 and so on until Dec 2012.. The range remains the same throughout all the sheets.

I was able to do a rough code, but I am stuck doing the reverse part...

I've been given the task of automating a spreadsheet to assess whether work has been done by each employee. Every employee has their own spreadsheet, where column A is a job code, and column H contains either y or n dentoting whether they have completed the task (y) or not (n).

The main spreadsheet is designed to show any outstadning tasks across everybody so it has a list of everybodies names in column A and then any incomplete tasks will be listed from columns b onwards next to the appropriate person. Here is what I have done at the moment.

I have 2 large (100k+ rows) Spreadsheets, where one has lots of information including each entries state and City and I also have another spreadsheet which has city and postcode information.

I need to get the postcodes into the main sheet that already has the cities but not the postcodes.

Is there a way to import this seeing as each sheet contains fields of similar data (ie. the city information)

I am thinking of an extension. Every time it finds a empty row where it pastes in. Is it possbile to insert as many rows as the range object is before we paste in the range?

Ex: If the source sheet has 10 rows that's going to be pasted into the destination sheet. I want first to insert 10 rows into destination sheet at "*" and then paste in the 10 rows from the source sheet.

In Sheet 2, I have another list where the user will manually enter sub elements for some of the elements of Sheet1. It looks like this...

Column A |Column B |Column C
Past Locations|Previous Jobs|Previous Schools

Below that last row of headers, the user will make inputs. the list for each column should be able to run down to say 100. The inputs may look like this....

AZ |Plumber |XYZ Elementary
MD |Waiter |ABC High School
IL
CA

Now, the problem is I need to combine these two into a single column in Sheet 3 in a special way. The output would look like this.

John Doe
New York
Past Locations
AZ
MD

Notice that I am taking the list in Sheet 1 as is, until i run into a value that is the header in Sheet 2, in which case I take all the contents of that header column until I am done, and then go back to sheet one, and repeat the process. I need the output in one column in Sheet 3; i don't need any special formatting.

* Select a rectangle that's the same size and shape, and then paste.
I believed when there's only 1 row of data, the code copy the entire sheet1 and can't locate the last empty row in sheet2.

Should I use a if to check for > 1 row of data (2 rows including header row) or is there a better way?

I am looking for some code to scan my sheet names and delete all the sheets that don't have names corresponding to the values within a cell range contained on another sheet in the workbook. For example, if any sheet name, excluding a few reserved sheets, doesn't equal one of the values contained in cells A2:A23 on sheet "XYZ" then delete it.

The best solution I could come up with using my experience was to loop through each sheet and compare the name to each cell in the named range, but if it's possible to somehow declare the named range so that each sheet only has to compare to it that would be ideal;

There is 2 parts to my question and I will explain them as best as i can.

1. I have a front sheet and 12 other sheets ( 1 for each month of the year) they all have the same layout. On my front sheet I want to create a button which will capture the sheet onto my front sheet for the current month, whether this means to make 12 buttons to choose which month is displayed on the front sheet or one that detects the date by system time i dont mind.

2. These 12 sheets will ideally be hidden and what I am wanting is again, on the front sheet 12 buttons for each sheet to bring up the corresponding hidden sheet so they can be viewed, and then on each of the 12 sheets another button which will hide them and return the user to the front sheet.

I have a set of sheets on a workbook that contain addresses, which are all combined on the first sheet (as you can see in the attached file). I would like to use a formula to compare the addresses on the Main sheet with the other sheets, then return in the D column of Main a colored cell indicating on which sheet the address was found on; different colors for different sheets. I tried to figure out some conditional formatting, but to no avail. Also, on occasion I have spreadsheets with 5 or 6 sheets containing these mixed addresses. Is there a solution that won't be limited to just a few sheets for comparison?
