# Number Values Converted To Text, Multiple Ranges.

Mar 9, 2009

I have attached an example sheet to help visually explain what I am going to try and articulate. Cell A2 and B2's values result in cell E2, Cell C2 and D2's values result in cell F2. The same is true for row 3.

So what I would like to do is, based on the predetermined ranges of the Height+Chest Columns, auto complete column E, and Columns C+D, auto complete column F. My problem is that I cannot simply cell A + B = E, because the maximum range of one layers the minumum range of another. An example would be Maximum of A+B is 101 to result in SXS in Columm C, but the minmum A+B to get a SS in column C would be 97. So what I need is, for another specific example:....

If cell A2 is between 57 and 65, and cell B2 is between 31 and 36, then Cell C2 must be SXS. If Cell A2 is between 66 and 68, and Cell B2 is between 31 and 36, then Cell C2 must be SS.

## Create One Text Value From Multiple Number Values?

Jul 24, 2014

I want to create a formula that converts data covering three months (i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar) into fiscal quarters (=Q4), how can I do that?

In Column A, I have the project name, in Column B, I have the month (in date format) by which it needs to be completed, and I want Column C to automatically calculate the fiscal quarter for each project using the data in Column B.

## Conditional Formatting Multiple Number Values But IGNORING Text?

Sep 6, 2013

I have a spread sheet where there are multiple rows of price quotes from different suppliers.

Some suppliers have quoted, some however have not and there is a "#N/A" or "no bid".

SupplierA
SupplierB
SupplierC
SupplierD

1.3
No Bid
2.3
No Bid

How can I get a conditional format to check each row for the lowest numeric bid, highlight it but ignore the text?? What I have tried so far doesn't work.

=G31=MAX(\$G\$31:\$J\$31)

This does not seem to work, I don't know how to exclude the text values from the MAX function.

## Pivot Tables Converted To Values In 2007

Apr 3, 2008

If I create a Workbook in Excel 2003 with Pivot Tables when I open it in 2007 the Pivot Table are no longer there. It look like the Pivot has been converted to Data only. Are there any ways of correcting this?

## Convert From Text To Column And Paste The Converted Data In Other Sheets?

Apr 18, 2014

I want some vbs code on my 'Copy All' button in Email Data sheet which will do my work. Its a bit lengthy but who knows the concept will find it easy.

I have one sheets -

Sheet attached - Worksheet .xlsm

Workshet.xlsm [Data in 'Mod' sheet i)should convert from text to column and paste in 'Row Data' sheet ii) then transfer form Row Data sheet to 'Email Data' sheet 'Mobile Data' sheet and 'Other Data' sheet when Copy All button is clicked in Email Data sheet.

There should be some logic which will fetch appropriate date from 'Mod' sheet to the respective sheet . We can have some kind of logic like

If 'Register' found then take the value of register and workstation and paste in Email Data sheet.

All data below should be fetched from Row Data sheet which is blank now and will get the data when we click the Copy All button ,

1st Register Count:

Below Register Count (*) i.e. 16 If workstation count present copy to E15 in Email Data sheet in Table B

Below Register Count (*) i.e. 9 If register count present copy to E16 in Email Data sheet Table B

2nd Register Count:

Below Register Count (*) i.e. 8942 If workstation count present copy to C15 in Email Data sheet in Table B
Below Register Count (*) i.e. 2883 If register count present copy to C16 in Email Data sheet in Table B

3rd Register Count:

Below Register Count (*) i.e. 0 If workstation count present copy to E18 in Email Data sheet in Table B

Below Register Count (*) i.e. 1 If register count present copy to E19 in Email Data sheet in Table B

4th Register Count:
Below Register Count (*) i.e. 98 If workstation count present copy to C18 in Email Data sheet in Table B
Below Register Count (*) i.e. 999 If register count present copy to C19 in Email Data sheet in Table B

Substr:
B32:B44 will be pasted in C29:C41 in Email Data sheet in Table C
i.e. 10 to 22 values should match in corresponding 10 to 22 values in Email Data sheet , if not not any value then 0

B50:B62 will be pasted in B29:B41 in Email Data sheet in Table C
i.e. 10 to 22 values should match in corresponding 10 to 22 values in Email Data sheet , if not not any value then 0

## Count Number Of Values In Different Ranges?

Aug 2, 2013

a column contains 'amount'. The amount can be from 1-999999. Some cells also contains #N/A (thr' formula) & blank (thr' formula).

I want to get NUMBERS of 'amount' whose value is
1-10000
10001-20000
20001-30000
30001-40000
40001-50000
50001 and above.

## How To Generate Missing Values Between Two Different Number Ranges

Apr 26, 2012

Monthly I am sent a spreadsheet detailing cost centre approval ranges for our management team. Unfortunately, the data provided shows a low range and high range in two different columns. Is their a formula to automatically generate the values for the missing numbers

For example
columns A
1001
&
columns B 1007

Can excel automatically generate the 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005 & 1006

## Find The Largest Number In Multiple Ranges?

Jun 7, 2013

I have huge sorting job in Excel.I have a excel file from each year. And I put these together to a huge excel file. And I need to track down the last activity if the customer is listed multiple times.I could just go through and delete the rows, but the last row. But, that takes a lot of time.

Format:
Last activity (year only) - Customer number - Customer name

2010 - 1001 - Company A
2011 - 1001 - Company A
2012 - 1001 - Company A

## Selecting Top 5 Values From Multiple Ranges

Jan 30, 2008

I have four ranges of data in a worksheet that are sorted in order by the value in the final columns. Based on this value I would like to flag the highest five values from all ranges by adding a value in the adjacent cell. Is there a formula/function that I can use to identify the highest values from a number of data ranges?

## Return Multiple Values (Concatenate) From Ranges

Jul 30, 2014

I've made a "Budget Calendar" so to speak.., with my bills on the first sheet, and the Months in the following sheets. What I'm trying to do is say, for instance, the day is the 11th on the calendar, (there are two bills due on this day), and I have the bill scheduled to be on the 11th, can I use a formula to return what bills are due?

On the "Bill Dates" sheet, you can see where I'm kind of going with this...

On the August calendar, under the 11th, I want it to say "Internet, gas (utility)" in cell D20, or "Internet" and "gas (utility)" in D20&21, respectively.

I can get E20 to return the total bills due for the day using "=VLOOKUP("11th",'Bill Dates'!\$B\$2:\$D\$395,3,FALSE)", and it'd be awesome if I could get it to return them in different rows as well.

## Formula To Identify Week Number Based On Date Ranges And Add Values

Feb 18, 2014

I have the following data:

Column A = Date
Column B = Reservations made per day

For ex:

A B
1 3/1/2011 5
2 4/5/2011 10
3 3/8/2011 15

Then I have a look up table where based on the date ranges it assigns a week number.

WeekDATE Range 1Date Range 2
718-Feb-1124-Feb-11
825-Feb-1103-Mar-11
904-Mar-1110-Mar-11
1011-Mar-1117-Mar-11
1118-Mar-1124-Mar-11
1225-Mar-1131-Mar-11
1301-Apr-1107-Apr-11
1408-Apr-1114-Apr-11
1515-Apr-1121-Apr-11
1622-Apr-1128-Apr-11

I am looking for a fomula that would assign a week to the corresponding dates on column A and tha would then add all of the reservations booked for each week.

## Collecting Unique Values Of Multiple Ranges Into One Master List

Dec 20, 2012

I gather two lists of serial numbers (i.e.) from two different sources; one populated in sheet1, A:A (with variable row numbers) and the other in sheet2 B:B (again with varying number of rows)

I am trying to gather a master list of unique serial numbers in sheet3, C:C.

So far I have tried advanced filter, union.range, etc. but couldn't figure work it. I guess some of these columns need to have names assigned to it and have a header.

## Excel 2010 :: Sumproduct Of Unique Values In Multiple Ranges

Jul 31, 2014

I have 3 ranges of data which each have a quantity and a length. I want to create from these ranges a list of unique values with the total quantity required of each value (as shown). Inputs on any column may be blank but where there is a length, there will be an adjacent quantity to the left.

I'm using Excel 2010.

## Count Unique Text Values (number With Text And Quotation Mark) With Formula

May 14, 2012

I am trying to find a formula that will count the number of unique entries there. I have tried the solutions posted on various websites to no avail (most recently:

Code:
=SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(MATCH(A1:A10,A1:A10,0),MATCH(A1:A10,A1:A10,0))>0,1))
).

Ticket Number

## Excel 2010 :: Display Cell Ranges From Multiple Locations Based On 2 Cell Values?

Jun 4, 2013

I need to display a set of cells based on the value of two drop down cells i have. As I am not very good at english and worse at explinations, I'll try via screen shots...

I have two dropdowns (C4 and C6) that will indicate what table to use (Second sheet / screenshot). I want that "table" to display in the yellow box on the first page. To complicate matters, some options do not have a CLA option - those starting with X. As there are 24 different outcomes and each is 3x9 if/then statements just dont seem to cut it.

P.S. I have excel 2010 and windows 7

## Save Ranges In Multiple Files To Text Files

Dec 21, 2007

I have a excel file that I enter information into. I have code that saves the files to a certain folder with the name, date, and time stamp for the file name. At the end of the day I might have 3 to 15 excel files I have created that day and I would like to take information from certain cells (examle: L3, B6, B7, B8, G8, and so on) and create a txt file with all of the information in it.

Example:
12/20/2007
123 Somewhere St.
Here, OH 45111
Home Visit

12/20/2007
Someone Else
345 Anywhere St.
There, OH 45211
Hospital Visit

## Multiple Text Box Values To One Text Box

Jul 19, 2007

I have 5 textboxes with values in them.

I wish to take those 5 values and place them into one textbox, a 6th textbox.

An example being your name, address, city, state, zip. Taking those 5 and putting them into one textbox lined up like this:

Name
City
State
Zip

What's the code to take values from multiple textboxes and put em into one line by line?

## Count The Number Of Multiple Values In A Single Cell

Jan 28, 2010

formula that will return the number of "x"s or "o"s within the same cell.

The cell has values that are formatted in multiple ways for example: PXX--XXP, --XO, OXX--.

I want the formula to return 4 if the cells has PXX--XXP or 3 if the cells has --OXX etc.

## Multiple Userform Text Box Number Format

May 29, 2007

'TextBox1.Text = Sheets("Shet1").Range("a1").Text'

However I have thirty text boxes on the Userform all linked to cells on a sheet. How do I apply this so that I dont have thirty lines of code. It just does not look elegant. I'm doing this because the number on the userform shows more decimal places than the cells format. Cell formated to 3 places Userform shows about 9 mostly .999999 etc

## Can't Append Leading Zero To Text Field Populated With Number Values

Jul 10, 2014

I have a column with a general format that looks like this: "057828001 - WACS - Irving".

I need to remove the latter part of the value " - WACS - Irving"

I am doing that by using the replace all and typing in "-*"; that gives me a result of 57828001.

I need a result of 057828001.

How do I retain the leading zero?

## Multiple Text Values In One Cell

Jun 5, 2012

I'm working on a project for use by our sales teams to for them to easily find out which campaigns are currently being offered in their regions. The data looks like this:

Participating Regions

Campaign

IN, OH, MI, IL, NE, AZ

Campaign A

IN, OH, MI, IL, NE, AZ

Campaign B

IL, IN

Campaign C

IL, IN

Campaign D

All

Campaign E

IL, WI, MN

Campaign F

This is going to be embedded internally and needs to be as simple to use as possible. I would like for column A to be filterable by state, either with a drop down menu or a selector. My problem is that many states could be in one cell, or individually in a different cell, and the default autofilters recognize these as two different values. I would like the sales rep to be able to filter "IN" for example and get 5 results. One solution that I am aware of is for me to duplicate each campaign on a different row and list one state per row for that campaign. The issue with that is that this is going to be updated frequently and that is a tedious manual process. I am also aware that you can use a text filter for "contains" specific words, but even that is more intricate than what I am aiming for.

## Sumif With Multiple Text Values

Oct 5, 2007

I have a column of multiple text values I want to pull and then in another column pull the value. I can do it on just one value =SUMIF(Sheet3!\$F:\$F,"NEX",Sheet3!K:K) but need to include multiple text values. Also if the text is not found I want it to return a "0".

I'm stuck on how to pull the mulitple text.

## Count Number Of Unique Values Based On Multiple Conditions

Feb 22, 2011

I'm having a problem with a spreadsheet in Excel. I have in column terras, codti problem and several cells that are repeated. I'm stating that terra appear only once, the information in column each issue should appear in different columns with the sum of how often they appear and codti according to terra.

In excel is best illustrated what I mean!

In total, 5267 lines and need to do this with all. You can do this in excel?

## Formula That Counts Number Of Unique Text Values If Meets Criteria

Nov 6, 2013

I have been using this function to count the number of unique text values in a data set:

=SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(MATCH(B2:B10,B2:B10,0),MATCH(B2:B10,B2:B10,0))>0,1))

It works great if I want to count number of unique text values overall. However, I want to count the occurrences of unique text values if they meet specific criteria. (Like a countifs function would if it could count unique text).

## Sumproduct Converted To VBA

Sep 25, 2008

I've got a rather large set of data consisting of many sheets of data. I need to gather some of this data in a summary for to make it presentable. (Common goal) Currently the summary page works on a series of sumproduct commands that reference other sheets and take a great length of time to compute. I'd like to change this into a VBA code to speed up the process and eliminate all of the Sumproduct referencing. I know that in VBA you have to use the execute command to sumproduct, but i continue to get errors that i cannot resolve.

This is a sample of on of the sumproduct formulas that works (though slow) in the sheet:

=-SUMPRODUCT((('June Data'!A2:A65535="18020")*'June Data'!I2:I65535)+(('June Data'!A2:A65535="18030")*(LEFT('June Data'!E2:E65535,2)="AF")*'June Data'!I2:I65535))

The Raw data comes in columns A thru L. I need to sum the values from column I when column A = "18020" or when column A = "18030" and the left to letters of column E are "AF".

When I input the sumproduct into VBA using the execute command I get a compile error, it says it expects a list seperator at the "18030" and doesn't like the quotes. When I remove the quotes or put single quotes the result i get is a NAME# in the cell. Any help would be appreciated. This is a clip of the VBA code. Also, anything that is faster than execute would be much appreciated. I suspect that even in VBA having to run 50 of these sums will take some time.

Range("q4").Select
Selection = Evaluate("=-SUMPRODUCT(('June Data'!A2:A65535="18030")*(LEFT('June Data'!E2:E65535,2)="AF")*'June Data'!I2:I65535)")

## Converted Into Vba Code

Apr 13, 2009

I would like to have a code (VBA) for the below formula so I do not have to protect my worksheet (column B).

=IF(D15="","",INDEX(Sheet4!\$C\$14:Sheet4!\$C\$3000,MATCH(D15,Sheet4!\$A\$14:Sheet4!\$A\$3000,0)))

The above formula ends down until B13000. I feel the slowliness of Excel. I have seen something like this using the code (VBA) and it was not so slow compare with the formula created on the cell.

## Find Multiple Text Values & Concatenate To Each Row

Mar 31, 2009

I am trying to find 3 values (X,Y,Z) in row A and concatenate those three values in column A for the entire range below, say A2:A100.

## Count Number Of Occurrences Of Multiple Strings In Two Text Files

Jun 11, 2014

In Column A I have the list of strings that I need to search. I want to count the number of occurrences of these strings inside these two text files: Sample1.txt and Sample2.txt. For example I have the string "DOG". I want to search and count the number of times this string appeared in Sample1.txt, and Sample2.txt

See below:

## Search Multiple Worksheets For Text String Then Sum Corresponding Values?

Sep 24, 2010

I have a workbook that contains 18 sheets of data. These worksheets are named according to their respective client names (AAA Shine, Fern Barn, Oracle, etc. for example). On each of these sheets, is a column (Column B), that has a salesperson's name in it (Fred, Joe, Ted, Anne... there are about 10 names total). On each sheet, there are corresponding values for the revenue from that account for each month of the year. Those values appear in Column L (Jan), M(Feb), N(Mar),... W(Dec).

What I would like to have is formula that will look at each sheet, find all the instances of Fred for January, sum them, and report them in a single cell on a different sheet I have called "Summary". The end result will be a total revenue from all customers, for each sales person, by month, in one summary sheet.

## Display A String Of Text With Multiple Cell Values

Jul 30, 2009

I am trying to create a formula to display a string of text that refers to multiple cells. for example, =If(A1=0,"insert text here" &B1 "insert more text here" &B2 "insert even more text here" &B3, "insert text here" &C1 "Insert text here").
It works fine for one cell value, like ="Total: " &A1
