Paste Variable Value Into Column?

Sep 18, 2012

I have the following code,

Code:
ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Forecast").Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Offset(1).PasteSpecial xlPasteValues

This just pastes a value found in another wokbook into column A.

What I would like to do is paste the value in column A and paste another value in column B which is set in this part of the code,

Code:
Nominal = DEPWS.Cells(SourceCell.Row, 1) & DEPWS.Cells(1, SourceCell.Column)

So something like paste value in column A and past Nominal.value in column B

Macro To Copy & Paste Variable Range

Aug 15, 2007

I am trying to write a very basic macro to copy and paste, but when I record the keystrokes, step 4 (see below) seems to be recording absolute cells and not relative (?). At any rate, I can't seem to figure out how to get it to select the text the way I want it to. These are the keystrokes I want:

1. Ctrl-c in the current cell <copy the current cell>

2. DownArrow <move down one cell>

3. Shift(hold)-End-Down <select the blank spaces from here down until the next occupied
cell>

4. Shift(hold)-Up <move the selection up one from the bottom to exclude the occupied cell>

5. Ctrl-v <paste>

6. End-Down <move down to the last occupied cell>

I have set the record tool to record "relative" references.

Below is the code that was recorded. It's line 5 that's not working - how do I fix it? What is the command to tell the program to press the shift key and an up arrow?? Such a simple thing, and yet I can't find the answer anywhere! Things sure have gotten complicated since the old Lotus 1-2-3 macro language...

Sub Fill()
Selection.Copy
ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Range("A1").Select
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)).Select
ActiveCell.Range("A1:A17").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
Selection.End(xlDown).Select
End Sub

Do I need sometime of variable? I tried to use the address/lookup code but it does not work.

Copy Data If Filled, Paste In Next Available Column In A Range

Aug 8, 2006

Ive been trying to find out how i can paste information in the next available column but between certain columns. Here is an example of what im trying to do. There is a calculator which represents 3 machines. It runs different senerios if you change the % of product going into it (cells to change this are light blue). What im trying to do is take the information the machine outputs to the right and organize it on the next worksheet.

The data on the next worksheet is a combination of all the machines performance (in yellow) together and the machines personal performance (in red). when the button is pushed currently, I have the overall scenerios information filling down rows. What I would also like it to do is see if im using a machine (because it can be turned off by changing the usage to 0%), and if I am, copy the results form the individual machine to the next worksheet. When it copies it needs to see if the first machine slot is open and if not the second and paste in the available location. I cant have a specific spot for each machine on the real worksheet cause there are maybe 100 machines and if 15 are used I only want the first 15 machine info slots filled and im gonna hide the rest of the columns. The way the columns fill also cant be like the rows where it looks for next available free spot. It has to only be for the specific range in red because there is info to the right of where this is going.

Sub Send_Data()
Sheets("Calculator Sheet").Select
Range("AD9, AE9, AG9").Copy
Sheets("output sheet").Select
Range("B65536").End(xlUp).Select
ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select
Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks _
:=False, Transpose:=False

Copy/Paste Rows By Numerical Range In Column

May 8, 2008

I would like it to scan an entire column (column E) for rows of data that fall into a range of numbers chosen by the user (like maybe a list box or combo box in sheet 1) for example a number greater than or equal to 8 but less than or equal to 15 and copy all of the rows and columns of data across the entire sheet that fit the range from sheet 1 to sheet 2. I would like to use a separate list or combo box for the min and max values in which to search as seen in the example sheet 1 attached. I have tried the autofilters, custom filters and macro recorder with no success as it seems the filters do not like ranges of numbers.

Copy And Paste Range Of Cells Based On Number Of Cell Values In Column A

Mar 17, 2014

Please see attached sample worksheet. Column A will be generated by the user manually.

I'm looking for a way in VBA to have A1:D20 in Sheet2 copied and pasted in the "Bank Reconciliation" Sheet based on how many "Markets" there are in Column A. Then, once that's complete to have A22:D30 (the smaller box in Sheet2) copied and pasted directly below those results.

I have what the macro would hopefully generate to the right in "Bank Reconciliation" (B6:E54) as an example. So if there's a market in A1, copy and paste the box to B6. If there's a market in A2, copy and paste the box directly below the first (B26) etc. etc. until it's done, then paste the smaller box directly below whatever the macro generates.

Use CountIf To Use As Variable To Determine How Far To Paste Down In VBA

Jun 11, 2014

I would like to be able to count the number of rows with data and use it in a macro. For instance, Columns A:C and Rows 1:50 or more have data (the number of rows are variable). In Cell D1 I have a simple formula

Code:
=A1&","&B1&","&C1

I am using a formula in VBA like:

Code:
Range("D2").Select
Selection.Copy
Range("D3:D10000").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste

I don't want to have an arbitrary number like D10000 in the range because it will paste in cells even if there is nothing there resulting in a ,, in the cell. I know this is avoidable by wrapping in a

Code:
=IF(ISBLANK(A1)=TRUE,"",D1)

but the "" is not truly blank and jacks up the sorting.

If there is a better way by setting the row count to a variable like

Code:
countx=COUNTIF(A:A)

and then using it in the selection such as:

Code:
Range("D2").Select
Selection.Copy
Range("D3:countx").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste

Am I going out about this wrong, maybe missing something fundamental about this?
