I have a list that I need to print. It is only 2 columns, but 12 pages long. I would like to print 4 or 6 pages, side by side on the same sheet. I tried changing the print setting to 4 pages per page. But, when I looked at the print preview, it showed only 1 page per page.
View 11 RepliesI have a sheet with a few hundred rows of data which I filter out by using a very simple autofilter. I have set page breaks throughout the whole sheet on certain rows I need to start on a new page. If the auto filter filters out any of these rows when it prints it prints a blank page where that row would have been before it was hidden by the autofilter.
For example the whole list is say 5 pages (set with page breaks) I apply an auto filter that now reduces it down to 2 pages say the 1st and last page of the original list. If I page break preview it, it shows me that it will be 2 pages but when i print preview/print the sheet it prints the 1st page then 3 blank pages then page 5 even know that the page break preview only shows and numbers 2 pages. Because the original page breaks are still there just are hidden by the autofilter so it adds them in as blank pages
I'am trying to create a document which automatically prints the next page on the same sheet.
I have created a spread sheet which prints the first 5 rows in the top of every page, but I can't figure out how to make excel print two A4's on one A3 side-by-side.
I need to print 2 pages on one sheet. Page 1 on top, page 2 below. I can get this to work on Portrait, but I need it printed Landscaped.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got an excel sheet that has a series of successive numbers down the side from 1-15 per sheet. I've done this by putting the cell formulas as previous row +1. (these are being used as unique reference numbers)
I want to be able to print this out multiple copies of this in one instance without having to manually adjust the first number multiple times then print the sheet. I also want it to be automatically saved as the most recent page printed, so that when it's printed the number continues on from the previously printed sheet.
I found a macro online which I have adjusted to increase a cell by 15 each time it is printed (to change the first number of the row). But I've realised that I'm printing the final page twice if I run the macro again. Is there any way to get round this? If I print 1 sheet there is also no adjustment in numbers.
I also haven't got onto the save part.

How should i set the page setup so that each section print on a separate page.
I have a single page spreadsheet. I want to print multiple copies and have a unique invoice number on each page printed in cell O1. I don't want to just send it to the printer as individual print jobs. I would like to send it to print as a pdf in a single 100 page document or if not a pdf then just as a multiple page document.
For example first print run would start at number 1001 and last numbered page is 1101.
I have a report that I use and right now I have a command button that prints the report x2. What I would like to do is to have it print one in color and one in grayscale. I could do this I think with two different buttons, but I would like to utilize just one. I tried creating a macro but it did not pick up the fact that I changed the properties to black and white.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI having troubles getting a part of this script to do what I want and was hoping someone could point out what to try. What I need is when the user is asked to enter the amount of pallets. The number they input is placed into a cell.
Here is the problem.
I'm looking for a way to start at number 1 and work up to the number the user placed in the input box. For example if the user put 5 in the input box Range("F37") Would read 5 then in range("A37") the number would read 1. Then the page would print ,the next value in Range("A37") would be 2 ,then print and so on up to 5. So the end result I would have 5 pages that printed with the only differnce being Range("A37") Value being 1,2,3,4,5.
I have a layout for printing as attached. This is a front carton label. Depends on the carton qty, I need to print many times of those pages whether changing the carton times before every print out. For instance I print from 1 to 550. Each time I modify the carton numbers and printing it, that means 250 print job! How you can print cells that have a large amount of text continuously on every page (like in an MS Word document)? I have cells that end up with a lot of text, but excel will push the next text heavy cell to the next page leaving you with a few inches of white space on the previous page. Is there a way to just continue the printing of one cell onto the next page to make all the pages even? It takes up extra paper and looks bad when printed...

Below each (page 2) I would like to create a receipt template that I can use the sum formulas and text formulas which is no problem. However, when I print the selected page 2 of 2 to get the invoice, it also comes out in landscape set up. Can I have one page (ie: rows 1-44) in landscape and then page two (rows 45-83) in portrait.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a file that's about 50 000 rows long, and 4 collumns wide. And this whould work just fine, but I would not like to print a little over 700 pages... So now I've tried to change the sheet so that I could get 9 collumns on every page (insted of 4). So that I could get two of the old pages on one page (with one empty row between them... It's hard to explain but here is a little ASCII pic that might give you a hint.

I essentially have this data repeated multiple times depending on how many products I am looking at, I would like this repeated 3 times per page, which is where the page breaks are currently being placed. When i tried to set Width 1 page the automatic page breaks would only allow two of these per page at 100% scaling.
Why when I drag the dotted blue page break line does it sometimes break the entire doc into one page per cell ?
The doc is not wide. When I first load I can drag the break line successfully. Then I print preview... select print on both sides... boom.. goes from 4 pages to 14. Then I go back to page break view... drag the line... boom... Hundreds of pages. Even if I revert back to printing on one side it still is messed up.
How do I make this stop?? What am I doing wrong?? Office 2010
I need to create a macro code to adjust the width of the columns so it fit in one page for printing. So If it only has 3 columns, the widht will be wider but if it has 200 columns then the width will be much smaller.

Reason is simple as I work in a office where staff is handed in several jobs to do everyday. They finish the jobs and log all the info on the database. I log on to database and put all their daily diaries and because it is all over the place I have to go in each file and set printing preferences which takes an hour in the morning and hour in the evening. I could do with some sort of automation where all diaries are automatically printed in Landscape and Fit on one page.

I have used under the print preview menu - page setup option the fit to 1 page with by 1 page tall option. This creates a blank space at the bottom of printed area.

Everytime I have to print my spread sheet, I always have to keep page#1 in hands, because I cannot remember the headings.
When I go to print my 1 page document, I've selected to have the page shrink to fit onto 1 page. For some reason, when I choose this option to shrink, it doesn't print the entire document, only about 3/4 of the page or so. Something I did recently that was a little different that may have caused this but am honestly not sure is i added my company logo to the header so it'd print on the document too. If I added it as an image, for some reason it wouldn't print.

I have to input data every day into these sheets on the current day (ie: If the first day of the current month is Sunday, that is page 1). I have to print out the current days page (not the sheet) after it is complete. Is there a macro or vb code that will print out the current day/active PAGE only? As it stands, I have to do the ctrl+p thing to get the print dialog box, and input the page I want printed....as you know, I have to input the page twice in the dialog box to print only one page, otherwise it starts to print from the page I chose.....and if I don't pay attention, I can print 30 pages when I only wanted one.
