Row Nested If With Multiple Cells?

Is there a way on excel to produce a nested IF that says when 3 cells out of a row of 26 cell exceeds 100, then 'issue' is shown? So far I have the worksheet set up using:

'=IF(OR(C5=$C$2,D5=$D$2,E5=$E$2,F5=$F$2,G5=$G$2, H5=$H$2,I5=$I$2,J5=$J$2,K5=$K$2,L5=$L$2,M5=$M$2,N5=$N$2, O5=$O$2,P5=$P$2,Q5=$Q$2,R5=$R$2,S5=$S$2,T5=$T$2,U5=$U$2, V5=$V$2,W5=$W$2,X5=$X$2,Y5=$Y$2,Z5=$Z$2 ),"Nusiance","No Issue")'

Which is each single cell in the row, but I'd like to go a step further for it to be if any 3 of these calls exceeds 100, then nuisance or no issue is shown and not just if one single cell exceeds it.

The output should check two conditions. If all three columns are "Y" then it should return value "Y". If any two columns are "Y" then it should return value "Y". or else it should return "N". Then the output should look like this.... The output column is colored in Red..........

Multiple Conditions In Nested IF Statements

I've been using nested IF statements, with success for a while, but now I'm into my fourth nested statement I'm starting to get some problems.

=IF($P15>0,SUM(IF(APR09!$M$2:$M$500=Department!$M$1,IF(APR09!$B$2:$B$500=$Q$6,IF((AND(APR09!$G$2:$G$ 500<>Department!$N$29,APR09!$G$2:$G$500<>Department!$N$30)),1,0),$N$2))))

Is what I've come up with so far. However, this returns 0, even though there are 3 items which should resolve the criteria. The main problem is here: IF((AND(APR09!$G$2:$G$500<>Department!$N$29,APR09!$G$2:$G$500<>Department!$N$30))

Where I am trying to make the sum increase by 1 if the cell from the row in question, having made it through the first 3 IF statements is not equal to either of those two cells (a range would be better) then the Sum needs to be increased by 1.

I am very new at in depth excel formulas, usually in my daily work I can get by with simple summations, if statements etc. This one has thrown me for a loop.

I'm making a spreadsheet on soil compressibility and I feel like I am just knocking my head against the wall. Here is what I am working with. I need to calculate values in a column, we'll call them "Rm" values.

There are a few basic things that dictate which "Rm" equation you use. I'm substituting V,W,X,Y,Z in for the equations to simplify the question.

I am currently having trouble with what I thought was a simple IF statement. As you will see from the formula I want to complete a statement for every month of the year but Excel will not let me go past July. Multiple Condition Nested Logical Functions

I am having trouble evaluating two conditions with nested logical operators to produce the output I need.

For example Condition 1 has 5 choices (A,B,C,D,E) and Condition 2 has 3 choices (a,b,c).

Breaking it down,
[Condition 1] option "A" always applies and should give "Yes" (No matter [condition 2], "A" always gives "Yes")
[Condition 2] option "c" always applies and should give "Yes" (No matter [condition 1], "c" always gives "Yes")

[Condition 1] option "D" never applies and should give "No" (No matter [condition 2], "D" always gives "No")

[Condition 1] options "C" and "B" only apply if [condition 2] is "b" (if so, the answer is "Yes")

What I need is the equivalent of:

if ((([condition 1] == A) || ([Condition 2] == c)) || (([condition 1] == B || C) && ([condition 2] == b)), "Yes", "No")

Nested Loop Not Working; Pulls Data From Multiple Files Into One Table

I've got this code that pulls data from multiple files into one table. the file name is in the top row, and each file's title, and two different sums display below that. Then it is supposed to loop through and display each task and the start and end date for that task within each file. After that the first loop brings it to the next column and file. The primary loop works fine, but the inner loop only seems to run once, as I get only the first result for each file. All I can figure is that maybe my row numbers aren't resetting like they're supposed to, or I'm completely overlooking something, which is likely, as VBA is by no means my forte.

Nested If Statement Using Time Formatted Cells

I am trying to build an if statement to test variables that are in time format and then perform a calculation.

I was able to get an example working if I convert the start times to integers rather than time values. However, the data won't be provided to me as integers.

So, I need a nested if statement (using "and") that will test for two situations using cells in time format or I need to write a macro to convert the time data to integer format. I've been working on the former most of the day and have hit a brick wall.

Excel 2010 :: Use Nested IF Formula To Color Cells?

I am trying to use the IF formula or a similar VBA/Macro to color certain cells. We deal with 16 different sand types that come in on rail cars. I want to put in the sand type in a cell; EX: C11 has text "30/50BH" if this statement is true to color cells A11-D11 yellow. If it is not a true statement to check for the next sand type, "20/40BH" and go on from there. If I can get an example of what to do I can build it for the 16 sands we have.

The formula I have in mind would be something like

=IF("30/50BH",[colorA11:D11,Yellow],[IF("20/40BH",[colorA11:D11, Purple], .......

I'm sure there is a less brute force method of doing this, but my knowledge of programming and excel is limited. I am using the 2010 version of Excel.

I'm trying to create a nested IFs statement that looks at a range of cells between 2 tabs within the same worksheet, determines if there is a value of 1 in ANY of those cells, and if there is, to multiply the value of yet another cell by 1 in a cell on the second tab. So, if 1 is a value in any cell of Tab 1 cells C82 to C86, then in Tab 2 cell B21, multiply 1 by the value in 'Tab 1 Cell H5'.

I've tried this =IF(('LM fundamentals'!C82>=1), ('LM fundamentals'!C83>=1), ('LM fundamentals'!C84>=1), ('LM fundamentals'!C85>=1), ('LM fundamentals'!C86>=1), 'Order Information'!$B$21!=(1* 'LMfundamentals'!$H$5!))

I even tried a vlookup, having given the cell range in Tab 1 a name, etc. But I have little skill with logic statements, apparently.

i am having trouble putting together an IF Formula together with and/or. i need to do the following

if cells k8 and l8 and r8 are empty, then no data should show.
if cells k8 and l8 and r8 is zero, then show zero.
otherwise add all three cells.
i thought i should use if(and... that is all 3 cells must be empty or zero.

Nested If Statement - Calculate Value Based On All Of Active Cells In Column

I am putting together a procedure to calculate a value based on all of the active cells in column "A" and a couple other conditions. "k" is my variable to put a value into (k,8) until all the active cells in column A have a corresponding value in (k,8)

I have my scenarios all built out into If statements and the code runs....but no value is being added to cell (k,8) for any of the rows with entries in column "A" when the procedure is finished running. Depending on the values in (k,2) and (k,3) there are four different ways the value in (k,8) needs to calculate as I have built out below. Why my values aren't being added to (k,8)?

Multiple "nested" Functions In A Spreadsheet -

I am trying to make a multiple nested spreadsheet. I get as far as the first 2 and then can't seem to get the data validation to work. I tried several different formulas (indirect(vlookup)) ones but must be doing something wrong. I have the "lists" on the second sheet to be referenced for the first sheet as drop down menus.

I do building material appraisals and this sheet will be to help me with the inspections if I ever get it done. It is supposed to work like this - Area - Item - then depending on the item - three consecutive dropdown lists with further information.

I need to perform 2 SUMIF's on 2 columns of data to return a result and I'm not quite sure the best way of doing this. I'll give an example below.

I'm currently doing a survey using an excel workbook that contains multiple questions across multiple worksheets using radio buttons linked to certain cells.

I have around 400 workbooks coming back to me, so what i want to do is take specific values from across many worksheets within each workbook and combine them into a large master table in a seperate workbook.

I've tried using VBA, but not being very proficient at it i've hit a brick wall with that, so i'm hoping that there is an easier way to do it than what i'm currently pursuing.

I am using MS Office 2010. I want to count---on multiple sheets---the number of times that a given cell is greater than another cell if and only if a third cell is equal to a given value. I want to do this for 4 sets of data on each sheet. I thought I had it figured out with this formula---

Here is some background:

In the entire workbook, I want to add 1 (counting function) only when:
R1=2 AND E1>F1 or
S1=2 AND G1>H1 or
T1=2 AND I1>J1
U1=2 and K1>L1
on each appropriate sheet in the workbook.

I have a worksheet entitled 'Data'. In this worksheet there is a table consisting of 4 columns plus relevant data:

I have been trying to create a formula that will enable me to pull data from the 'benefit' column(column D) so that the cell contents populate in a single cell in a table in a different worksheet.

Green - Enabled

So, as an example, I am hoping that a formula can be created which pulls the text from relevant cells in column D when criteria from columns A, B and C are met e.g. Tech benefits that are Delivered in PJ2 would populate cell E3 ('Tech -Enabled') in Table 2 with:

Im struggling to find a formula to populate cells based on values to be checked in two fields (ICODE, COMPANY) as shown below.

In the example here, all records where ever the ICODE = 49, i need to populate the fields(columns) AD1,AD2,AD3 or AD4 with the product name of the same company where the ICODE <> 49. There could be between 1-7 products per company.

CURRENT SHEET

Worksheet 1: In column A I have a people's initials. In coumn B I have text boxes with miscellaneous text. (The same person could have multiple rows within this sheet.)

e.g.
AAA blue

CCC smelly
AAA elongated

Worksheet 2 I want to show:
A2 = initials, B2 = first text box associated with that person, C2 = second text box (different row) associated with that person (if applicable), D2 = third text box (different row) associated with that person (if applicable), etc.

I am having such a difficult time creating a macro that will reduce the 5+hours I have to spend each week manually copying & pasting all of this data. I making an IMMENSE difference in this worker bee's life!

I have a workbook with two sheets (Sheet1 & Sheet2). Sheet1 has license #'s in column A and the state that the license belongs to in column B like this:

I'm trying to write a macro that will compare the license # and state in Sheet1 to the license # and state in Sheet2. If it matches, append the contents of Column C to the corresponding row in Sheet1.

Here's the thing...Sheet2 contains the entries for all licenses in the company (so this table is HUGE). And there are multiple entries for each state license # (notice how there's two entries above for AK license # 11111 - one for the Property line and one for the Casualty line.

After my macro is run, I want Sheet1 to show all the lines-of-authority on a single line. So if I ran my macro on the above example, after it's run I would have this in Sheet1:

how to shift data in a column down multiple rows while in an IF statement. I am assuming you cannot just simply repeat the insert cell formula.

value_if_true = return multiple values in mutiple cells (for example put number 8 in cell A2 and number 10 in cell A3 if function is TRUE)

How would I do that? I tried putting IF(logical_test, (A2="8",A3="10"), [value_if_false]) but it is not possbile...

Excel 2010 :: Create Macro Button To Clear Multiple Cells On Multiple Worksheets?

I have attached a test workbook excel 2010 (ignore ref# errors, I've cut the workbook down for uploading purposes) What I would like to do is have a 'Button' on my 'information Sheet' which when clicked would clear certain cells. I have searched the forum but can't find a solution, everyone seems to want to delete rows or columns but I just want to clear certain cells. The workbook will have 11 sheets each named 'caravan 1' through to 'caravan 11' The uploaded test workbook only only has 3 sheets.

On 'caravan 1' (which is slightly different to the other 10) I want to clear the content of cells

B4 & B5
C4, C22 & C41
D4 & D5
E4,E5, E22,E23,E41 &E 42

On all other 'Caravan sheets' I want to clear the contents of cells

D4 & D5
E4, E5, E22, E23, E41 & E42

It would be icing on the cake if it could give a warning such as " are you sure you want to clear these cells" but that isn't really necessary. The worksheets will be password protected, but the cells mentioned above will not be. If it proves too difficult to clear all the cells on all the sheets with one click, then perhaps a simpler solution might be to have a button on each sheet instead

I'm trying to put together a spreadsheet that tracks disc capacity increases, affected by any incoming projects. I've managed to do so for one project, but would like to for up to 10. The way i've designed the solution (i'm sure there are far more elegant ways, but hey) is thus:

A forecast worksheet keeps track of a grand total, taking information from sheets P1 -> P10 (being projects 1 to 10). I am unable to figure a way to add up all the increases from all 10 project worksheets with one succinct formula. What I use so far is: ='P1'!C83+SUMIF('P1'!E82,"=2009 - Q1",'P1'!D82) ..................

Excel 2007 :: Multiple Lines In One Cell To Multiple Cells?

I have a column of cells with Customer info and address in each row, that I need to move into multiple columns. ie Cust name, acct #,address, city,state, zip the problem is ALL of the info for each customer is in ONE cell.To be clear, cell B1 has complete name address etc for one customer, B2 has the info for another, B3... on and on. To complicate matters as in the example, there is not a pattern in the lines. the first example shows the info beginning on the 2nd line of the cell, but the 2nd example shows info in the first line. I have tried the text to column fixed width. Didn't work because names and addresses are of varying lengths. Then I tried delimited, but there isn't a common separation between different data. I am using excel 2007. FYI I did go through many many threads and found some that were close to my problem but not close enough to work.

Match Value Of 1 Cell To Multiple Cells And Give Multiple Values

Sheet 2 is the problem.

I need to match cells e3:h3 whenver the dates change in in cells c5:c9 and then put there result of cells b5:b9 into the corresponding cells of e5:h9.

Basically what I'm saying is that I want to keep a track of all previous pay amounts from each pay period. So when the next period changes the date it also copies the new pay amount to the corresponding date of the previous pay section.

I have included a sample.
