I am trying to rank stores based on a quantity of run outs they have. I have a list of stores in order with the run out quantities. I use the large function to figure out the rank but when you have two stores with the same quantity it only finds the first on in the list.

I'm trying to figure a way to display the names in order of highest to lowest dollar value based on the criteria that the name must have the text "Store" next to it in column E. If column E is blank then the name would not be included in the ranking. I thought I could use the following code to accomplish this:
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have several months worth of data, lets say January to December in cells A1:L1. In the rows underneath I have data, however, it is several "sets" of data. For example, I have data in A1:L10 (the first batch) and another batch in A21:L30 and so on. So you can see that there are rows between each batch of data (this must remain thus).
What I would like to do is set up a formula that reads along the the dates at the top, then reads down to the batches of information only, and then ranks them.
Ultimately, what I want is to tap in say "September" and then in a table I want to have the top 10 ranked in order from the batches of information from the September column, and this will change according to the month I tap in etc.
I think it may be some combination of Index / Match & Rank, but I am struggling with the Rank formula applied to non-consecutive ranges!
I have two idential spreadsheets with several rows of items each with different packaging quantities, price break quantities and corrisponding prices next to each break quantity. I'm trying to build a discounting sheet on an idential page by using formulas that read off the price sell in the same relative position on sheet 2. Below is one row of sheet1 and the idential row of sheet2 - underneath the cells are the rules I would like incorporate:

I have a spread sheet with towns listed in Column G from row 3-81. I months going across row 2 as column labels (they are dates in Jan-14 format). They go from column H-AF.
What I want to happen is to have a formula (not in VBA) which will compare the month in row 2 versus the current month. If it is more than 5 months ago I would like it to return the town in column G for the corresponding row. The only thing I am using to "mark" the last time the town was worked is an X so that is all it needs to look for.
I would like to ask how can I get to work the index match function (if there's any formula other than this current function its fine) if i have a start date and end date as range date then another criteria for name to get my desired result. im having a hard time to explain so i attached a workbook so you can around it.
I found a formula and tweaked it but still cant get to work.
I have a rather large table that I need to return the column heading from.
Within the table I have a list of Names in the left most Column (A) and a list of Percentiles in the header row (row 2) (incrementing by 5%). By inputting the name and a cell value I am trying to return the column header.
Using an example;
5% 10% 15%
Bob 3.5 4.1 4.15
John 3.6 4.2 4.30
Chris 3.3 4.9 4.95
Sammy 3.7 4.6 4.7
Like I said, knowing the name and the cell value, I want to return the percentage value. So for example, Bob would be one input value, and another input value would be 4.1. I would want excel to return 10%.
I have found different suggestions using a combination of index/match but even using these functions I cannot get it to return the COLUMN value instead of a cell value.
I think I could get this to work but the INDEX command is not returning an index of the row like it is documented. It is returning the value in the cell. In order to get this to work, I need to return the index of the row. I need to know what row the match found the item on because the value I need to copy is going to be in column J of that same row.

Each worksheet has a QTY column in it.

Goal: I would like to search the Sku column ODBC_Products and find a match for a sku that is listed in the website-upload sku column and then when I find that match, display the qty from the ODBC_Products worksheet to the website-upload worksheet.
Notes: I add columns and delete columns all of the time on this worksheet so I would rather do this in excel vs. a macro. I figure this can be done with something like:

I have a table with Dynamic Headings and Expanding rows, that's setup like below: The formula in the Qty column would produce a "0", if the result of the Index Match has a blank. For example in a different table the reference cell would have "Heading3". Therefore the results in the Qty column would be like example below. The products in the table below are like 0's and 1's to trigger the formula to calculate with the variables, or give a zero. If the Index Match found "Heading2" the results would be based on cells under "Heading2 Column" etc.

I have a list of data that I'm using the index - match function to output data based on user input.
For example, I have:
1 10
2 15
3 20
So when '1' is selected another cell outputs '10'.
However what I want is for example if 1.25 is input, I want it to interpolate to spit out the correct number between 10 and 15.
I have sheet full of data containing results of multiple tests on various equipment.The sheet contains many columns of data but below are the specifc criteria i want to use to extract the data. As maintenance is carried out regularly the list is always growing. I want to create a dashboard summary of the "Machines" which i will colour using condition formatting. I will list the machines in the columns and would like the rows below each machine to be populated with the results.

I want to create a formula which indexes the country field and gives me the country with the highest total sum for a specified date range. I'd like to be able to drag the formula down and have the country with the highest sales, then the second highest, and third highest, and so-on. Column ranges are specified below.

I was thinking of using an array function utilizing index, large, sumif, and match, but I am getting stuck. I'm honestly not sure if what I'm looking for is even possible, but in Excel, everything is possible, so there has to be a way!
I'm looking to find a way to get the total quantity of parts that are found in a separate list.
Part Number: Sheet "Desired BOM", Col A
Quantity: Sheet "Desired BOM", Col E
List of part numbers to search: Sheet "Parts List", Col A
The column of part numbers on Sheet A is variable, as is the list of part numbers on Sheet2. I have attached an example file, but be aware that whatever method that comes of this will be used with many parts, so the simply using the description to total everything won't work (i.e., matching "2D" or "3D" between lists).
Have a series of tables that are put in order ascending and desending using rank and index. the problem is the last 3 tables. short calls ranking and hang ups which puts #n/a instead of the persons name. long calls ranking which doesnt put them in any sort of order at all.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a formula in cell f13 of my attached spreadsheet "Sample 1" that will search the 2nd attached spreadsheet "Sample 2" and return the correct serial number based on both the matching PO # (located in cell E10 on Sample Sheet 1 and in Column 5 on Sample Sheet 2) and Product # (cell A13 on my Sample Sheet 1). My current formula is not returning the correct result and I'm not sure why.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 sheets in a file. One is given to me from our parts department containing all parts on a given truck model. The 2nd sheet is exported as a database file from inventor and imported as an update able sheet in excel.
I am needed to compare part numbers between the 2 sheets and the qty of each. So far I have it where it matches the part numbers and turns the ones I don't have in the model red. Now I'm trying to match the part numbers and pull the qty of said part from sheet 2, the imported one, and compare it to the to the qty in the 1st. All I really need to accomplish is matching the part numbers then copying the qty from sheet 2 to sheet 1 onto a new cell of the matched part number.
I'm trying to hone a quoting tool to generate an amount based on a given range and minimum charges for specified subsects of the range. If you reference the attachment I'm trying to calculate a charge in cell K15 based on values in B9 and C10 referencing the table I8:R9. What I cant figure out is how to create a minimum charge of 50 for J8:P9 (points A-G) and a charge of 95 for Q8:R9 (points H-I).

From the attached file, I am trying to match the date and time stamp (in cell A1) with that from the other data (in this example in cell E1) and return the data (from cell F1) to cell C1. So basically any date and time stamp before 04/03/09 04:00 will return a value of 44 (this value should appear, therefore in cells C1 - C30)

I attached a COUNTIF to it to count how many times the index finds itself on another table; if it doesn't find itself, then it goes blank. However, this time I need to count how many times it finds a certain string condition in the other table.

I need a formula to return the value at the cross section of two (2) lookup values that match. This formula will be input into column D under, "RATE" on the 1st tab, "TEST FILE".
In the 1st tab, "TEST FILE" there are a series of columns as follows;
A = Service
B = From
C = To
D = Rate
In the 2nd tab, "RATES" there is a series of rates with drivers From (green) & To (blue)
The formula needs to do the following;
1. Lookup the "From" value in column B on tab, "TEST FILE" and match to column B2:B59 on tab, "RATES" both highlighted in green
2. Then Lookup the "To" value in column C on tab, "TEST FILE" and match to row C1:BH1 on tab, "RATES" both highlighted in blue
3. Then return the value at the cross section of the match "From" (point 1 above) & "To" (point 2 above) in range C2:BH59
For Example;
The rate From SYD To CBR = 0.33. I have highlighted this in yellow on both tabs to show where the formula needs to lookup the data to return the answer.
Additionally, if we were to add service as an additional lookup match how would this work?
I'm using a Large function embedded in a Match function to a ranking.
The issue I'm having is that if there are 2 of the same values in the Top 5, it counts the first one twice rather than each one once.
I have two sheets of data , sheet A and Sheet B.
Sheet B contains a column called "Name" and for each name, and for each name there are corresponding numbers. In sheet A, I have a "list of interest" in column A. What i want to do look through the data in sheetB to find a match from the list of interest and return the corresponding letters, located in column A.
I have filled out the first two rows of results that should be returned as an example.
One idea i had was to put a vlookup formula in each column result 1 to result 6 so i can catch all 6 "Serves" columns from column B, but there may be duplicates in the serve columns and vlookup only reports the first match.
Basically where the columns say 2011 or 2012 AND 1, 2, 3. I want to be able to have it index the number below based on the GL number on the left and both the year and period on the top. I think that you can do with using the sumproduct function with the binary, but the computer is a little dated and it takes a while to run those calculations.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI`m relatively inexperienced with Excel, searched for a few days and have not been able to figure out how to calcuate this value. I have multiple worksheets to work out financials. I have a separate worksheet with the pricing breakdown based on volume. 2 columns
0 - 99,999 0.05
100,000 - 499,999 0.04
500,000 - 999,999 0.03
1,000,000+ 0.03
On a separate worksheet I want to add I6+I7, depending on the value multiply it by the value in the second column. So if the total is 520,000 then multiply it by 0.03.
I want to be able to calculate a price based on a given quantity. But here is the trick.
Example: Widget comes in cases of 12 at $1.00 per case. If the customer orders 36 widgets, then the cost is 36 x $1.00.
If item A is ordered in quantities less than "12" than there is a 15% upcharge.
Example: Widget comes in cases of 12 at $1.00 per case. If the customer orders 4 widgets then the price is 4 x $1.15
But, if the customer orders 35. Then the first 24 are calculated at 24 x $1.00 and the remaining 11 are calculated at 11 x $1.15.
Is it possible to return a value or a sum of values using segmented lookup criteria. The Sample 1 spreadsheet (attached) explains it better.
