I am trying to count the amount of cells in a column (Col H) containing data against a certain date which is displayed in another column (Col B)
Eg. Col B................-...........Col H 13/06/09.................FIRST LAST 13/06/09................. 13/06/09.................FIRST LAST 20/06/09.................FIRST LAST 20/06/09.................
So that in the sheet next to it it would appear:
13/06/09 - 2 20/06/09 - 1
The dates don't appear in row order and the sheet has a filter on it so I am unable to select the Col H and just use COUNTA
Column D lists a service offered by a business, such as IMC, TC, Respite, etc
Column M lists how long the customer has used this service for in weeks, such as 4,5,3.5,6 etc
What I would like to do in another column is to count the number of clients who have used the service for 6 weeks or more broken down by the service type i.e. Count how many people have used IMC for 6 weeks or more.
If possible I would also like to be able to count those who have used a service for between 5.1. and 5.9 weeks too, again by service i.e. Count how many people have used IMC for between 5.1. and 5.9 weeks.
I have a two ranges of columns containing names. I need to count how many times a specific name appears in ColumnN - Easy enough =COUNTIF(N$2:N$1047,Q3) ...Q3 being the name I am looking for.
Now comes the part I am stuck on. I need to count how many times a name appears in ColumnK but only if there is no name in ColumnN.
I tried =IF(COUNTIF(N3:N1047,""),COUNTIF(K2:K1047,T3),)
I want to count how many times a particular text appears in Column A depending on the number times another text appears in Column B.
Say for example if I have in Column A {A, B, C, D}nd column B I have {AA,BB,CC) and if I want to check how many times column A has "A" value when the column B has "CC" value, then how should I proceed with this ?
A1:A10 contains text (say colors) and B1:B10 also text (say vegetables). I need a formula to count the number of times a certain combination of numbers and vegetables appear in the same column, so if "red" and "carrot" appeared in A4 and B4 and also in A6 and B6, the result would be 2.
Been working on this issue for the last couple of days with no luck. I have a column of data that is a data and time stamp, for any date or time like below. This is an ever growing list as users continue to populate the data.
On a separate sheet I have a list of times by 15 minute increments starting at midnight until 11:59PM like below.
12:00:00 AM 12:15:00 AM 12:30:00 AM 12:45:00 AM
I'm trying to count how often a time stamp occurred between two 15 minute increments. ventually I'll be plotting this data on a graph to show where most occurrences happen.
I am trying to count up the quantities in Column D of the attachment, which I can do with (Macro A) and then display them in a table format which I could do with (Macro B) if I wasn’t trying to include Column D. Basically I am trying to get Sheet1 to become Sheet2.
To put this simply, I have a spreadsheet that has 2 columns on it with multiple names and numbers on it. We'll say ABC and 123 as the example name and number. When I type in ABC and 123, I have it where it appears on the next page.
The question is that if I want to duplicate it onto the next page, how do I do it? In other words, I want to create a 3rd column with which to add a number of times I want the numbers and letters to appear. For example, I write| ABC | 123 | 5 | and ABC appears on the next page at a certain start point and is copied 5 times in certain cells. The same happens for 123 at its own start point.
what i would like to do (forgive me if i have missed something) is for the total value in colum D to add up but for the % in column E not to be included in the total %
Is it possible to have a situation that when the word"SURCHARGE" is in the row then the % will not be added to the total %
In other words i need the surcharge price to be included into the final price, but the surcharge would give me a false figure so that needs not to be included in the total %
I need a formula that will show the total number of times "text" is entered into a column and when sorted by year that would only show the total for that year. The COUNTIF formula i'm using only works for the total, not when sorted by year.
I have a spreadsheet used for calculating information based on the dates specific shifts are requested/cancelled by our clients. I have a formula for working out if a date & time of cancellation is less than 48hrs notice of the shift starting. This is because we have cancellation fees based on this.
What I have is this formula: =IF(A16="","",IF(INT(A16)-INT(G16)<2,1,"")) that returns a 1 if that shift is cancelled within 48hrs notice. This works fine but I have to now change the notice periods to the following:
edit this formula to take this into account? I figure it's using multiple IF's and changing the <2 into something else like the number of hours but I'm not sure of the exact syntax.
I'm trying to do a countif that matches 2 names and returns the amount of times the 2 name matches is in the list. Ihave first names in column a and the surnames in column B.
I have a total amount of $52,000 and I want to show an equal amount in twelve columns which represent 12 months from sept 2005-sept 2006. My calendar goes for 3 years, jan 2005- jan 2008. How do I get this amount to show up in the correct columns.
I need a formula that that will show £0.00 if the amount is under zero, i have a formula k15/o15 that gives me a amount but if this is under zero i need this to show as zero not -£70 for example.
Look at worksheet 1. Find column "Amount". Insert column next to amount. For all highlighted cells in column "amount" insert text "R" in adjacent (inserted) column.
In A1 I have a list. The list Manager, Assistant Manager, Casual In B1 I have a list of places America, UK, Mexico there are amounts in A3 A4 A5 and B3 B4 B5 If Manager is selected then America I would like A3 to display in C1 Depending on which variations are picked I would like the amounts to display in C1
I know how this formula which I've used before but I don't know how to include all the variations.
I am trying to create a chart that would show all of the Amount values for each Size value that is in the example data below. The Size column has fixed values. In my example the values are: .5, 1, 2, 5, 8, 13 and 21. The Amount column data is variable. Any of the static Size values can be associated with many Amount values. I was attempting to have the static Size values on the X (horizontal) axis and the Amount values on the Y (vertical) axis. I would like to have all of the Amount values for each Size value be shown directly above the corresponding size value, in one vertical line. See example below.
I an creating this type of chart in Excel 2010.
Note, I am still new to this forum and don't know how to post pictures or Excel data into my posts. I am also using dots (periods) to provide separation in my examples.
Attached is a excel file that has a working formula for tracking cashier variances. I edited out names etc.
I added a new cell called Track Back on the employee search sheet.
What I want to do is only show variances for the amount of days back selected in the Track Back cell.
For example if I select the last 30 days, only the last 30 days would show up below in the sheet.
I am not sure if this is even possible based on the forumla that is already on the sheet. I couldn't figure out a way of doing it. But there are a lot of people on here much better with excel than me
Need count formula to count records with amounts in either columns E, F, or G. For example
Need a formula (not VBA) in cell F2 to return a count of 5 records counted that have an amount in column E, F, or G (but only count as one record when amounts exists in multiple columns):
I was wondering if it is possible to hide a column(s) but still have data in that column be visible at the bottom of the spreadsheet. For example, if I hide column G can it only hide the column from rows 1 - 50 and then the column will appear after row 50?
I have a spreadsheet will a large amount of invoice numbers, some of which are multiple occurrences of the same number. I need to count the duplicates as one unique record and sum but I need to sum the total $ amount of each amount attached to each occurrence.
Please look at the sample to see what I mean.
W234678 has three amounts that are added to give a total amount for that number and it is added to the count as one record.
I had this code kindly borrowed from someone else which helped me find the duplicates but it is not meeting my needs.
Dim rCell As Range, rRng As Range, vKey, lrow As Long
