Count Data Using Most Recent Date And Aging

I've been trying to create a pv table that will count all the trades based on products, but they are duplicate in my set of data that I am trying to eliminate, I just want to select the trades with most recent date and if there are duplicates entries with the same date, then to select the aging column..
Column A are my trade IDs (duplicates trades), column G my dates and column O my aging days (goes up to >5). What I'd like to do is to count the trade using the most recent date and if the date is the same use the aging column. is this even possible to do using formulas?

I looking to track the oldest entry that is still marked "Open" or "In progress".
So far I have done the below If Statement:- =IF(H24="Open",E24,IF(H24="In progress",E24,"")). This returns the Date it was logged if the status is "Open" or "In progress". to column T, So far so good!
So in cell T22 i wanted excel to show me the oldest date so i used the MIN function like so:- =MIN(T24:T40). This returned me the oldest date which i then wanted to know how many days this has been open for so i used:- = SUM(TODAY()-H6)
which gives me the number of days. This all works fine until..........i don't have any entries set to "Open" or "In progress" or any dates added (e.g. start of a new week). When this is the case the MIN function returns a value of 01/01/04 which in turn tells me that the oldest entry is 38,604 days old. I have tried different combinations of If statements to ignore the blanks / date etc but i just can't make it return zero or even better blank. I have attached a sample of my sheet and inserted comments to explain what each part does

I am familiar with SUMPRODUCT and {SUMIF}, but I am stumped on how to create a formula that can sum (or count) the only the most recent entry for each Name. The Name field is dynamic and constantly updated with a unique reference number, so I don't want totals by Name/Type, but rather only the newest Ref for each Name by Type.

I need a formula that will calculate the most recent consecutive years.
The actual data has multiple ID# and the consecutive years need to be matched to the ID#
So far I have =COUNTIFS(ID_NUMBER, A2, EXPIRATION_DATE, ?????)
A friend of mine suggested that I count backwards from the most recent date and stop counting when there is a break of one year. That is where I get stumped. It doesn't need to be a year day and date, I just need to compare the YEAR portion of the date.
The example data is provided below the consecutive year value on the sheet was calculated by hand and is the correct value that needs to be returned.

I have a workbook to keep track of names and dates of a specific action. There are 10-15 names that recur on the list. The most recent action is added to the bottom of the list. The names are in column I and the date of the action is in column J.
The problem is having to scroll through the list to find the most recent action for each person. Ideally i'd like to have a list of the names in column N and then in column O the most recent date in the list for each name.

I want to lookup an ID which there may be three of, but I would want the most recent date out of the three ID. I can get this to work by putting the column in ascending order but this is not very practical.
Is there any way I can do a lookup and add a date parameter to lookup the most recent?

Have a sheet with 24K rows. Column A is client name. Column B are check dates. The info is sorted by client then check date. Clients can have one to many check dates, so I client is listed as many times as there are check dates. If ten checks, then ten rows for that client. One check then one row for that client.
I only want to keep the last/most recent check date for each client, deleting all other rows for that client with check dates before the most recent. I believe I need to step through the file comparing column A, row by row, to see if I have a match for the next row in A. If no match I keep that row, because there is only one check, and move down one. If a match, then I delete the current row.
How to code this is my problem. Is it a loop?

I've searched the site, but have not found anything that matches what I want to do. I have a statistical spreadsheet that tracks machine accuracy by date. The spreadsheet has multiple columns per worksheet. The info is entered and sorted by date with oldest date first. I want to set up a seperate worksheet to find the most recent date from several different columns and populate it in a seperate cell. From there I'll do some calculations to identify how long it has been since a particular machine has been accuracy verified. Is there a formula to do this or does it have to be done through a macro?

I have used the MAX function to populate the most recent date in a series.
-EX. the most recent date input into the cells S8, T8, U8 will populate in cell R8. There is a default value of 0-Jan-00 that automatically populates in cell R8 as a result of the MAX Function. Any value that is input into cell S8, T8, U8 will show in cell R8 immediately after being input as a result of the MAX Function.
I need cell R8 to remail blank until the last of cells S8 or T8 or U8 has been input (in no specific order). Once the last cell has been filled; it is only at that time I need cell R8 to show that most recent date input into any of cells S8 or T8 or U8. I can't hide the column, I need cell R8 to remain empty until the last of the three cells- S8, T8, U8 has been filled (the last cell filled will not always contain the largest value or most recent date).

My spreadsheet uses alternating columns for actual and budget inputs
I would like to preload the budget for the whole year
But the ytd formula should only show results to match the input of actuals
In otherwords, If I input actuals for period 1, the YTD formulas for actuals and budget should return YTD period 1 only and ignore the remainder of the budget inputs
After period 2 actual inputs, the formulas shlould update to reflect period 2 YTD and so on and so forth
How can I accomplich this?

I have an excel spread sheet that is quite large it hold events for a piece of software that we are using what I am trying to do is display the last time was successful and the last time something failed
What I Want Return the MAX Value of the cells in a Column labeled start date for the rows where a Column labeled Agent =X and a Column labeled Mission Type = Y
In plain English with an example In another Cell I want to display the most recent start date for a mission of a particular type for an agent
Using the following table as an example I would like to determine the last time Agent 007 was on a Mission of type a
The Expected result should be 6/23/2008
If the same was asked for agent 99 the result would be 4/20/2008
And again for 66 the results would be 5/2/2008
If we then changed the mission type to b the results would be
007 6/23/2010
66 5/2/2010
99 4/25/2010
Here are the formulas i have tried already the results for these were incorrect and exactly the same 6/23/2012 the formula seems to be ignoring the first value and just calculating the last column to the latest date

I attached an example.
I am trying to figure out how I can write formulas that look for trends in the data. I will be entering more data every day. I need to look at the 5, 10, 20 most recent results for each number.
For example, I need to see how many times yes was answered for #3 in the most recent 5,10, 20 entries.
I am sure there is some simple way to do this with a control + f formula, but I don't know how to do it.

If I have 50 data points sorted in order (oldest --> newest), how do I do a stdev function that will only pull the 24 most recent points?
Essentially, I have 14 columns with 50 data points each. At the end of the list (or maybe beginning - under the column header) I want to do a stdev calculation referring to the most recent 24 points and a second for the most recent 36 points.

I am building a shared workbook that will have the same data on multiple worksheets.
The problem is that users are going to be entering updates to that data on individual sheets, not going thru and updating each sheet.
Also, some of the updates will be themselves updated as the day goes on.
What I need is for the workbook to only use the most recent data/update on all of the sheets.
Example: Sheet1 will have all of the info sorted by time. Sheet2 would have only the data for account "A" sorted by job number. Sheet3 would have account "B"...
When a change is made to any of these sheets I want the other sheets to be updated.
Now that I have wrote this out it seems to me that a "worksheet event" macro might do this for me...
But can you write an event macro into all the sheets that would not result in a loop (event macro on sheet1 changes sheet2 which triggers the sheet2 event macro...)?

how i can select the most recent 10 cells from a list of data to be included in a formula. I have selected it manually, for example F122:F131. This is fine but i don't know how i can put it so that it will update to the 10 most recent results when i input another line of data. So when i put in more data it stays on the previously selected. I want it to move shift down to include the new data but only the 10 most recent.

I have a 2 groups of column headings with a different month and year in each heading so
1st Group of columns range
Columns AJ through AX
Column Heading example "Expense Ratio February 2013......next Column over is "Expense Ratio March 2013"
2nd Group of columns range AY though CE
Column Heading example "Capital Balance February 2013......next Column over is "Capital Balance March 2013"
Each new month I need to add a new Expense Ratio column after the most recent expense ratio Column. (i.e. Find "Expense Ratio March 2013" and I need to add a column after that with heading "Expense Ratio April 2013"
Same thing for Capital Balance - add a new Capital Balance column after the most recent Capital Balance Column. (i.e. Find "Capital Balance March 2013" and I need to add a column after that for "Expense Ratio April 2013"
Because the ranges keep changing month over month, how do i do this.

I have been using the sumproduct formula to count how many times a certain piece of data appears...which works fine...for text purposes such as names, initials etc...
I now need to amend the formula to count how many times a date appears in a range of dates.
I know when you use the sumproduct...dates must be input and formatted as text.

I am working on project of doing Turn around time Analysis of the volumes of work recieved before 12:30PM and after over a weeks time. My data consist of Work ref, Datein, Dateout, Timein, Timeout. To carry this analysis I have to Mannually filer the data as per Datein / Timein and Dateout and then count the no of work ref completed within Same day or one day or more than one day for each date of a given week. I recorded a Macro which gives count of no of work. for one particular date of week and repeated the same for each 5 working dates of given week. this Macro has gone to big and I want to use some looping technique which would change my filtering criteria. I tried doing this by assining a variable to Criteria but Macro gives no values.
