My excel file triggers excel to crash after clicking the only button on my worksheet. The button displays a userform.
However; this does not always happen. It actually drives me crazy as I don't find the solution to my problem. My company were I work upgraded my Excel 2003 SP2 to Excel 2003 SP3 which seemed to help but now the same problem returned...
I found a temporarily workaround though; when saving the file first (right after I opened it) it doesn�t crash when showing the userform. Very strange (to me).
i have a user form which is activated by a button. when this button is clicked excel crashs every now and then. i get an error message run time error 75, could not find object. it asks me to debug or end. whatever option i choose when i try to save the worksheet there after excel crashs and closes. any body else have this problem, what could be the cause?
It is a simple form which has a Module/Macro to load the form on clicking a shape. Although the form works fine for me it occasionally crashes for other user. The Debug says that there is an error in the Module with the line "frmCallData.Show". Below is the Code for the form and also the Module: ....
I worked really hard on this userform for a work project - my first and likely last attempt at coding!
It used to work, and then I changed a bunch of listboxes to comboboxes, and now my file gives the 'Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close' error - but ONLY when I'm working directly with the excel file and NOT when I've got VBA open.
Compiling shows no problems - I have no idea what to do because this is a very important file for work and I am a very inexperienced coder! ...
I have a UserForm appear when the user opens my file. It prompts them to enter some data. If they Close (Terminate) the Window, I have a MsgBox appear telling them they must enter data - and allow them to go back or exit. When they opt to go back the UserForm reapears but Excel freezes and I have to force quit.

Trying to use above code to unload active userform and show new userform when red X (close) selected by operator. With the code as is, the Unload Me leaves the form on the screen and displays the RestrictedOptions form. If i remove the Restrictedoptions.Show, the Unload Me does remove the original form.
having trouble with the details of actually making these features work for me. I figured out how to create a UserForm with a ListBox and 2 buttons, but I don't know how to proceed from here.
1. Populate the ListBox in the UserForm with a list of names from the sheet "Totals_Dropdowns", cells K2:K11
2. Make the UserForm pop up and enter the user's selection into cell C40 of the "Regenerate Request"
I know these are very basic operations, and I'm pretty sure I can figure out the rest of my problems once I can get past the above.
I have a userform button that when clicked loads another userform. I am getting a Runtime Error 13: Type mismatch on the line in bold in the code below

What i am trying to do is make a command button appear when you hit any cell of the row its on. For example, If you were to hit any cell on rows 1 or 2 the command button will appear and when I am not on the visible property goes back to false. I have a ton of buttons on this sheet and I am trying to clean it up so buttons only appear as needed.
I am trying to allow uses of a spreadsheet to be able to select one control button which would in turn disable another one via check boxes however the control buttons do not re-enable when the undo check box is selected.

I'm trying to show a form from inside another form. Example: form1 has a command button and when clicked, I want it to show form2. But I always get a run-time error '32': type mismatch.
I found this code for a button, so I can collapse and expand a set number of rows within that sheet. It works exactly the way i want it to, however, now I have a second sheet in my workbook, and I used the same button. Problem here is that when I activate the button, it opens the same rows in EVERY sheet in the workbook. "For each ws in Worksheets" so my question is what is the term for it to only work on a certain worksheet?

I've been trying to find something that does the following:
Click button, Form pops up, has drop downs to select recipient, has field for subject, has field for message body, sends email.
After scouring the entire OzGrid, I have found the following two macros that partly satisfy what I want to achieve. BTW, following two macros are executed on Sheet2 and I want to achieve the following: On Worksheet_Activate, show columns that match the criteria value in Sheet1.D4 (Sheet1.D4 contains a dropdown list with about 6 text values). In addition to that, if Sheet1.D4 value is blank then show all columns. Right now, it successfully shows columns that match the D4 value but does not work if that D4 value is left blank, instead it hides all columns in range (C:CV). So in short, to the first macro, I need to add the criteria if D4 is blank, then keep the sheet intact and don’t hide anything, just show all columns.Once on that sheet after the Worksheet_Activate event has occurred, with the second macro “ToggleColumnsVisibility” following things need to happen. BTW, currently this macro is assigned to a button (from Forms Toolbar).If cell D4 has a value, then the button’s caption should read “Show All” and when that button is pressed, it should show all columns in the range (C:CV), and the button's caption needs to change to “Show Selected”. In “Show Selected” mode, when that button is pressed, it needs to show all the columns that match the D4 value.If cell D4 is left blank, then the button's caption should read "No Action" and when the button is pressed, it should not do anything but just show all columns.

I have worksheet with cell A1 always change simultaneously (input from other source), in cell A2 I put formula, so value in A2 always change depending value in cell A1. I have a userform with multiple tabs. I have buttons on the excel sheet that correspond with the tabs. How do I get the buttons to open up their respective tabs in the userform?
For example: Button 1 opens Userform-Tab1; Button 2 opens Userform-Tab2; Button 3 opens Userform-Tab3; etc.
Right now they all open the userform, but open the first tab.

I cannot grasp the ontime function, and from what I can tell most messages posted on here relate to using it for intervals, or to be used at a set time in the day. (I have looked at the Helpsheet for the Ontime function, but struggle to apply what is being said to my situation)
