It is for a calibration spreadsheet that I run that keeps track of when items are due to be calibrated.

It works at the moment and has populated my outlook with calendar entry and reminder 2 weeks before they are due - which is perfect.

The problem is when I update one of the calibration dates I will want to re-run the macro to create a new appointment - but this will duplicate all the appointments that already exist! very annoying since there are over 200 items.

Match Text Headers To Create List

In cells D2:BM75 I have data about grades either in the format 3a, 3b or as an X which denotes not making progress. Across row1 (D1:BM1)there are column identifiers outlining the subject followed (Maths, English etc). Row 2 onwards contains the pupil name. I need a method of identifying which subject they have an X in for each student. Note that there could be blank cells with no grades present.

Example:

.....................Maths....French...History...Geography
Jon Smith........X..........3b.........X...........5b
Bob Brown.......3c.........X..........4b..........X

The output for Jon Smith (in cell BM2) would be Maths, History
The output for Bob Brown (in cell BM3) would be French, Geography

I have a list of project numbers that is over 7000 rows long [example attached].
Many numbers are repeated. This list comes out of a financial reporting system.
I need to extract a list of unique numbers in numerical order. I have two solutions working, one with SUMPRODUCT formulas and one with MACRO. Here's the MACRO solution. But it takes about 20 seconds to execute. I am just looking to cut down on execution time. I am using this macro a few times on different lists in the same program. Is there a better [faster] way to do this?

Extract All Approx Match Determined From Expandable List In Sheet Two And Create Table?

I download a daily inventory file from my supplier.

I sell only selected products from that file.

I would like to use a list of the product part numbers of the products I sell on sheet 2 (Inventory) and have all the results from sheet 1 (ProductFeed) built into an expandable table on sheet two including all the parts numbers (expandable because I will add or delete part numbers from the list) I have listed and not just one part number but several.

Second issue: the download file contains part numbers in column "A" with variables like 418, 418_color, 418_size etc.... I would like all part numbers that begin with the number 418 and the ones that contain the variable added to be listed in the new table so I will get a list of all part number 418 and the variables which include 418 in them.
.
I want to return the results of the whole row(s) of the matched data as well in the new table.
.
I have attached a file of the working data that I have with the data I will use although the ProductFeed will change daily which I intend to copy and paste into the table each day.

I am getting a run time error 1004 during a copy-paste of a named range. I've read other posts and the help file and know it's related to defining an object, but I'm not clear on exactly what hasn't been defined.

I am attempting to pick up a date with time entry on a worksheet and place it into a TextBox on a UserForm. Format on the sheet is mm/dd/yyyy h:mm AM/PM. The UserForm is placing the value as mm/dd/yyyy 12:00 AM. here is the

"dDate" is the named range where the date is sitting. The format is also set on the TextBox2 exit event. Can anyone see why only the date portion is being transfered with the default 12:00 AM for no time component of the value?

I have loaded a .csv file in which the first column contains date/times, e.g. 01/12/2012 00:00. How do I now tell Excel (2010) that this is in fact a date/time format? If I select one or more of the cells, click on the Number dialog box launcher and try to pick a suitable format tghe cells resolutely refuse to budge from being text (i.e. left-justified, still allows me to edit the 'seconds' component to a number > 60). Also which data type should I be using? The only one that appears to have a full date/time format listed is Custom (not Date or Time).

I import data from a program that exports dates and times as text. I have been successful using "text to columns" to separate the time from the date and then using =text(A1,"00:00")+0 to get the time to show as serial time but I'd love to be able to do the whole date/time string in one step. In cell A1 there is data that is general format and is in this format:

01/01/13 00001

No matter how you try to format it, it is not a date or time. For this project I need the serial number for the date/time. Any formula that will format it as date/time and then allow it to show as a serial date/time?

Excel 2013 :: Extract Date And Time Info From A Text Cell That Contains Text And Date And Time

I am using Excel 2013. Anyway, the first issue is that I need to pull a date and a time period from text. So, for example, if I see something like Sunday Prime Time 7/6/14 8:37PM, I would want to pull ONLY the "7/6/14 8:37PM" out of it. Each text box could potentially be different, so it might not always be in the same format as "Sunday Prime Time 7/6/14 8:37PM" it might only show just the date and/or the time without all the extra text i.e. 7/6/14 8:37PM. Some of the cells will have text, others might only have just the time or even just the date and the time. The only thing that I am worrying about in each cell is extracting just the date and time. If this is too much to ask of excel, I would be ok with extracting ONLY the time - 8:37PM and not the date, but I would much rather be able to get both the time and date.

THEN, onto part two of my question. After I would pull the dates and times, I need to compare them with each other. So, when I have the same date with two separate times on that date, I need to write a formula to show if those times on that date are less than 30 minutes apart. So, if I have 6 times on 7/6/14, I need to know if any of them are less than 30 minutes apart.

I would need to have the formula say something like "Problem" if the times on 7/6/14 would be 5:30PM, 5:48PM, 7:00PM, 8:00PM, 8:15PM, and 9:00Pm for example. I would like to see the word "Problem" since 5:30PM and 5:48Pm is only 18 minutes apart, and "Problem" after 8:15PM since that is only 15 minutes past the 8:00PM which is obviously under 30 minutes. The times that are more than 30 minutes apart such as 7:00PM and 9:00PM for example are more than 30 minutes apart from any of the other times that were extracted.

I have a sheet with a list of dates in it that I wish to format to show the day as well as date and time. I am trying to do this automatically with a macro, below is the before and the desired after.

Before
Format - dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm
Appearance - 29/03/2009 00:30

After
Format - ddd dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm
Appearance - Sun 29/03/2009 00:30

This works fine when I format the cells manually, but when I try to format them via macro '29/03/2009 00:30' becomes 'Sun 29/03/2009 12:30' which is obviously a totally different time! Has anyone got ay idea why it might be doing this?

I've searched the forum and believe this thread to be the closest to what im looking for, but its doesnt completely apply: matrix to list conversion. I have an attachment to support my questions (see attached). I have a matrix of words (strings) that contain repeating and non-repeating contents. The matrix also has spaces which are of no value. Essentially, the VBA needs to ' analyze' this matrix and create a consolidated frequency list (as shown in the file).

The matrices are HUGE and therefore some of the clumsy VBA i am using is turning out to be a bit inefficient. The file also contains formulas and such that I cannot use AutoFilter nor can I use Insert or Delete rows...so the VBA shouldnt use those either.

The attached file (a copy of my main one) has a list of our engineers, and what stock they carry. The stock parts are the 64, 65, 66... numbers.

I need to create a list from this (as underneath the main table), for all instances where there is a 'Y' in the columns next to each engineer. So if an engineer has 3x pieces of stock, they need to appear in the list 3x times. If they have 1x piece of stock, they appear in the list once.
