Create Outlook Appointment From Excel Dates Column Without Duplicating Existing Appointments

It is for a calibration spreadsheet that I run that keeps track of when items are due to be calibrated.

It works at the moment and has populated my outlook with calendar entry and reminder 2 weeks before they are due - which is perfect.

The problem is when I update one of the calibration dates I will want to re-run the macro to create a new appointment - but this will duplicate all the appointments that already exist! very annoying since there are over 200 items.

I've used some code from another thread on the forum to create an Outlook Appointment and email this as an attached .ics file from an Excel spreadsheet. Everything seems to work fine. The email is sent and the attachment when double clicked opens in Outlook with all the correct information, but when the recipient clicks 'Save and Close' it doesn't save in their calaendar....

My range("C4") has the time "10:00 AM". The field has been formated to DATE format. With my code to create an Outlook appointment, I can get all of my required fields to populate from the spreadsheet except for the time. I would like to populate the time for the appointment with the data in C4.

How to add an appointment to a shared outlook calendar from Excel. I will be entering shipments in an Excel page and would love to just click a button and have an appointment made. I am very much a novice on how programs communicate with one another. The only information that will need to go on the appointment is the subject, location, and time. We set all our appointments at 15 minutes duration. The code I have so far is this:

Link Multiple Column Of Dates To Outlook Calendar?

I have a worksheet that has about 20 columns and 60 rows, but only need the data from 5 of the columns to link with outlook calendar. I want to be able to enter the date of completion of a task in the excel spreadsheet and have an reminder entered into outlook calendar a year later. I would like the Subject of the appointment to be the EMPLOYEE NAME and the Location of the appointment to be the TASK (what the employee has to renew) [these would be the column headers]. The duration can be ALL DAY for all appointments. A reminder would be fantastic!

The only other fear I have is each time I run the macro/VBA it will recreate duplicate appointments.

And I don't know if this is possible but one of the tasks (column) for renewal, ie: drug test, calls for an employee to be randomly selected every quarter. This will cause the employee to have a new annual renewal date in outlook but will outlook still retain the original annual renewal appointment date? I am sure we can live with this, but just a thought if there is a possibility of removing the original appointment it would be amazing.

I have attached example of worksheet. The yellow highlighted column headers contain the information I need renewal appointments created for.

Macro To Create Outlook Events From Excel Data?

Currently I have been tasked with trying to develop a link between an excel spreadsheet and outlook. What they want is for a button to pickup new entries into the sheet and then create outlook events based on several criteria. The first been that is put on several shared calendars, second that the category of the event is call "BID" and gold in color. The last part is where specific information from the spreadsheet fits into the event areas (ie. subject, location, start time, body). I did find code that is a possible solution but manipulating it to what i need. Here is the code.

As you can see for the most part I have been able to fill in most of the program with what i needed. I have column B on the sheet that has r's on it. If there is an r in that column then the macro creates information from that row, else it skips to the next one. so i need a loop. Also like stated above, how do you make it an event and not a meeting, how do you set the category and lastly for the boy how do i set it so it copies the entire row (column A, Column C to Column L)?

Vba Error Run-time 429 Activex Component Can't Create Object - Excel & Outlook 2007

I have some VBA code that in one portion of it an Outlook e-mail is created and the active workbook is attached and sent. This code used to work on Excel & Outlook 2003, but now in Excel & Outlook 2007 I'm getting the error:

Run-time error '429':
ActiveX component can't create object

and is stopping on the line

FY If I comment out the Set OutApp... and If OutApp.... lines and uncomment the Set OutApp create object line, I still get the same error.

I want the excel file to automatically generate a new column, the 6th, when the file is opened, say double-clicked.I want the 6th column do some summation based on the indexing/flag information int he 4th column, and the values from 5th column. For example: Suppose 4th column has binary entries (1 or 0). Excel 2007 :: Macro For Duplicating Template Error

(Excel 2007), I have a template that I need duplicated for every reference. My Worksheet lists all the references and the macro use to duplicate a worksheet for every reference in the worksheet. The problem is when duplicating now, it duplicates the name of the template. For example, when the macro is ran sheet1= Template(1), sheet2= Template(2) ect.

Here's the code- I think it has something to do with the named ranges

Excel 2007 :: Find Dates Prior To Today With Exclusions And Create List

Excel 2007 I have a spreadsheet of file boxes the keeps a log of boxes, contents, locations and shred dates. Currently figuring out when and which boxes can be shredded is a manual hunt, find, and then deal with it. I can use CF and Sorting but I have been looking at some search type functions to return a list meeting the requirements and trying to step my way towards that.

1st attempt. Was find out how many boxes meet the shred (before today) that have not already been detroyed. Column K is the Shred Date, D1 is Todays date, Column G is Status. Got this working good.

My failed attempt came at trying to find the earliest shred date excluding those that have been destroyed. This is not really neeed but I was hoping it would get me closer to creating the list of boxes that meet shred that have not already been destroyed.

Note: Column A is the Box No. and the spreadsheet contains blanks as we continue to add file boxes to storage.

Below array formula find the highest box number used by each department.

I have successfully adapted some code to create e-mails in outlook, insert text, add an attachment and specific who to send - all from within excel.

However, all of the recipients are contacts in our internal address book and what I would like to do is use the "shortened" version of their contact to send the e-mail.

e.g. Simon Jones e-mail address might be simon.jones@mycompany.co.uk - but if I simply type in Simon Jones; and then tab to the next line, outlook works out who this is all on it's own.

The problem is, if I specify in my code to send to Simon Jones; it does not convert it / work out who it is.

Is there a way of doing it via VBA?

I'm generating a letter (Word doc) and populating bookmarks with data on a worksheet using the following code which is assigned to a Button and it works a dream (in terms of opening the Doc and populating the bookmarks with whatever data is in the relevant cells on the worksheet):

I dont really need to open the Word doc, like it does at present, but I do need the Bookmarks contained within it to be populated with the source data contained within the Worksheet and subsequently have it attached to the email fully populated - maybe I need to 'close' / 'save as & close' the Doc post generation?

I want to email with excel, and I know how to do it if I have a distribution list already set up in outlook. I want to avoid having this DL in outlook though, and instead keep a list in the actual excel workbook. I tried having the list and then combining all the cells with a semicolon inbetween the addresses into one single cell, then assigning that cell to a variable and inserting it in the cose in place of the DL name, but it doesn't work. Apparently you can't mail to mutliple address thru the VB code, either a single address or a DL. Am I incorrect in this? So I thought maybe I could somehow create the DL first using the names in the list thru code, and then using that DL name to send the workbook.

I have two question for Excel in combination with microsoft outlook:

1. I was wondering if it is possible to create an email from Excel which automatically adds the From-field with a pre-defined emailadres. I am using CreateObject("Outlook.Application"), but I can not add the From-field.

2. I also would like to know if it is possible to do automatically fill the To-field with the emailadress from the user who send me the original file. Maybe this needs some more explanation (sorry my english isnt too good):

* A user can download an excel-form from the internet
* The form is sent to my emailadress
* I give a number to the form
* The user will get a message that his question is attend to with the number of the question

So I use a macro-button to reply when I have filled in the question-number.

I have a very simple lookup formula (eg: ='data'!C1) that I need to copy down about 4000 rows. The difficulty is that I need to miss out 5 rows in between each paste but no matter what I try when copying it down, it throws itself out of numerical order. I have tried to type the formula manually for every row but its taking forever and is bound to go wrong at some point. I have attached a very small example to show what I mean - Imagin this example needing the formula to run down in order up to row 4000?

I wrote some macros that allow me to check info when i input employee number and dates on a worksheet. There are three buttons in my macro which are "Prepare" (do some preparation for the origional data in order to perform check ups later on), "Clear" (clear info in order to perform next check up), "Check" ( Check the info that i need). I already finished the code for all three buttons and they are all functioning.

My question is how to create a userform that allows me to do the same thing as a macro. for example, on the userform window, there should also be three command buttons ("Prepare","Clear","Check") and also there should be three textbox labeled as "Employee Number","DateFrom","Date To" and the value of these textboxes are just the same as the input value for the macro( ie. In the macro, these three inputs are located at cells "B2","C2","D2")

I am working on this estimating template. To be used on Excel 97, 2000 and XP systems.

I have a few issues i am unable to resolve.

There are 2 of the worksheets (Short Quote and Stores Req) which individually need to have a button on them so i can create a new workbook as an exact coy of that sheet. but with just the values and not the formulas.

Also i am unsure on the macro on the workbook currently( as i dont know how to do macros) i dont know what it does?

Excel 2007 :: Formatting A Column For Dates?

I am using Excel 2007 and am having some trouble formatting a column for dates. I am setting up a template spreadsheet for the company I work for. The template spreadsheet has a sheet for entering the raw data and a sheet for summarizing it. I need new dates that are to be entered to be formatted correctly. I have set up a sample spreadsheet and inputted some sample data which looks like the following:

Date
06.11.13
07.11.13
08.11.13
05.10.13
06.09.13

Now if I format these cells as English(UK) dates with the "dd.mm.yy" format the data>sort cannot sort these dates from oldest to newest. I can correctly sort them by using "text to columns" however if i do this then it only format's the cells that currently have a date entered into them and not any new date entries.

So in summary: Format cells into a date format does not allow dates to be sorted using the data>sort tool. (I assume that as they cannot be sorted ,a formula that searches for cells with dates before a certain date will not work either) Text to columns does not allow new entries to be formatted in the same way as the cells that had data in them when the text to columns tool was used.

Is there a way to format blank cells so that they will recognize the data inputted as a date?

I have an Excel worksheet with one column being e-mail addresses. Other columns are Christian names, etc

Ideally can I create a full Mail merge with Outlook using whatever data I want. But probably just e-mail address and Christian name?

Otherwise be able to send one e-mail to all the e-mail addresses, without a major re-type.
