I am looping through each cell in a range and I would like to loop in reverse order.
Dim CELL As range Dim TotalRows As Long TotalRows = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row For Each CELL In Range("C1", "C" & TotalRows) CELL.Select 'Code here to delete a row based on criteria Next
I have tried:
For Each CELL In Range("C" & TotalRows, "C1")
and it does not make a difference. I need to loop in reverse order since what I am doing in the loop is deleting a row. I am looking at a cell and determining its value. If the value is so much, then the row gets deleted. The problem is that the next row "moves up" one row (taking the pervious cell's address) and therefore the For Each Next loop thinks it has already looked at that row.
I want to now paste this data vertically (so transpose which there is a handy check off box for) BUT ALSO to Reverse the data so vertically it now reads :
16.7 (in cell A1 for ex) 14.5 (In cell B1 for ex) 13.2 (In cell C1) 12.3 (In cell D1)
Is there a way to paste special reverse the order of numbers?
Can I reverse the order of values in a column or row? [ie] first cell goes to last cell, last cell goes to first cell, middle cell stays where it is, etc. [and if so, how?].
the form works fine and is loading the data to the spreadsheet and inserting it into the first empty row. I need to reverse the order of entry into the spreadsheet. So instead of the data from the form going into the first empty row down the spreadsheet, I need to insert the data in a common fixed row at the top of the sheet, every time and then shift the older data out of the row and down the sheet. Essentially putting the oldest data at the bottom and the newest at the top, which is reverse of the EROW entry process, Last row command would essentially do the same thing and I don't know what command would do what I want.
At this time I sort by HOURS then Seniority so the sort would look like this:........
Here is the problem, RN HILLER and JA DOE have the same hours and seniority. It is our policy that when 2 or more names and seniority match, they must be sorted by reverse order first letter of last name.
So this would be correct. H in Hiller comes before D in doe when reverse sorting.....
Any shortcut method to convert the row or column data in reverse order . for eg.
from A1 to F1 data is mentioned as 1,2,3,4,5,6 now i need the result from A2 to F2 is 6,5,4,3,2,1. and in another case data in A column from A1 to A6 like 1,2,3,4,5,6 and result needed in B column B1 to B6 is 6,5,4,3,2,1
I'd like to take the value from one cel, and reverse the digit order in another cell. Example cell c11 value is 1234, I want to display that value in cell c12 as 4321. Is there a way to do this?
I have some code that scans each worksheet in a workbook for sheetnames beginning with 'Model'... if the worksheet name matches, it prints only the used pages on that sheet (see code below).
Dim Ws As Worksheet For Each Ws In Worksheets If Left(Ws.Name, 5) = "Model" Then If Ws.Range("A46").Value = "Page 1-1" Then Ws.PrintOut From:=1, To:=1 ElseIf Ws.Range("A46").Value = "Page 1-2" Then Ws.PrintOut From:=1, To:=2 End If End If Next Ws
This code works... but I would like it to scan the workbook in reverse order... ie. print from the last matching worksheet first.
How do I transpose the values in a column of cells (so the value in the topmost cell in the old column becomes the value in the bottommost cell in a new column)?
Using Excel 2013. I have a pivot chart with date as the x-axis, 1 y-axis series on a Primary and 1 series on a secondary axis. My pivot table is sorted in descending order by date because I need the most recent date on top. To chart the date in order from left to right, I've turned on Categories in Reverse Order .
1. When hovering over the data points on the primary series, the date is reversed. Example: the data point Jan31 says Jan1. 2. The bigger problem is the series using the Secondary Axis is plotting Jan31-Jan1 instead of the Reverse Order .
Is this a problem with Excel or is there other options that I can try to correct all this?
I need to calculate a Sums of Products with unusual requirements. Please refer to the attached picture. The Orange Cells under "Noise Weight" are the Formula Cells. The Values in those Cells need to evaluate as shown in the equations below. I want this to be dynamic, so that if I expand the FM Region (Add Columns between "Noise Weight" and "FM15") AND expand the Severity Region (Add Rows between Severity and Noise Weight), I will not have to update Formulas manually. I know for sure that the standard SUMPRODUCT Function cannot handle this.
i would like to rank a column so that when entering a number in a cell it will move up the column so that the greater number falls down the colum and the larger rises up the column
So, I have some names and values. Rank function give me order for those values. Small function gives me ascending order. I want to get first n (let say 5) values back next to each other but can't use VLOOKUP function because sometimes I get duplicates (red numbers).
If there is more same numbersthat small function returns... It need to give me all of them, no matter 5 is limit. how to get back values of rank function that are duplicated. Book1.xls
Need to rank by score1 in descending order and Serial # in ascending order. My biggest problem is to get the rank number to be consecutive. I have listed the rank I would like to see.
I am currently working on a football spreadsheet ranking players based on their fitness performance scores. For example, there are 14 persons on Offensive Line. I need all their test scores ranked out of 14. However, if there is a blank, I still need the test scores to be ranked out of 14. As of right now, I have cheated, and inputted a random number to bypass the blank:
=IF($G12>10, 0,RANK($G12, $G$12:$G$25,0))
But, this now affects my average of the fitness testing scores for that position. This could be avoided if I could find a way around my first problem.
As you can see, the second column contains abstracts which I want to use to determine categories for each document (each line).
Categories are as followed : Diabetes prevention -> keywords : sugar, diabet*, insulin* Obesity prevention -> keywords : weight-loss, fat*, LDL etc. (5-8 categories)
To target one keyword, I found this formula : =IF(IFERROR(SEARCH("*diabet*"; $B3); 0); "Diabetes prevention"; " ")
What I would like to know is how to add more than one keywords in this formula.
I would also like to know, if it is even possible, how to put every categories in this column, so that i don't have a category per column ... It's hard to explain.
I want to have in front of each line the corresponding column. It means that the formula has to search for every keywords and select one or more appropriate categories.
I have started to create a sales order. I have three columns that I will be working with. I have three lists in a separate worksheet (worksheet 2) in the same workbook. Column A has part numbers. Column B has descriptions of the part numbers in Column A. Column C has prices for the parts in Column A.
I have created a drop down list in Worksheet 1 from the list in Column A in worksheet 2. What I want to do is somehow link column B and C to Column A so that when an item is chosen from the drop down list, the information will pull through.
I have some VBA (using Excel 2007) that deletes and re-creates a bunch (20-ish) checkboxes in a spreadsheet. Since i'm using the controls-based checkboxes, Excel defaults them to object names of "CheckBox1, CheckBox2, CheckBox3, etc" as I create them the first time around.
Later on, i clear all checkboxes and implement the SAME checkbox-creating code to re-create all or some of the checkboxes, but Excel doesn't number them in order the second time around! I end up with something like "CheckBox2, CheckBox19, CheckBox3, CheckBox12, etc."
What could be causing my code to create things out of order the second time around? Is there a way to reset Excel's Checkbox-numbering iterator?
The code i'm using to create checkboxes is:
Dim x As Long Dim BoxCell As String
BoxCell = "" x = 0 'j gets passed into the sub as a "Long" somewhere between the values of 5 and 35
How do I list selected data by order of appearance in a list?
Suppose I have a named range somewhere in my workbook called "TeamsRanked".
This range contains hundreds of names. The data associated with each of these names appears in a table in the workbook in rank order. The teams are ranked in descending order according to points scored. This means that the ROW() for the HIGHER-Ranked teams will be LOWER than the ROW() for the LOWER-Ranked teams. Also, this named range is constantly being resorted as updated data is introduced.
Now...Suppose I want to monitor just a few of the names??
For example: Cells A1:A3 on a separate worksheet contain the names of the teams I want to monitor.
What formula do I need in Cell A5 to return the HIGHEST ranked of the teams in Cells A1:A3?? ...in Cell A6, to return the next highest ranked. ...in Cell A7, to return the LOWEST ranked.
I tried some IF(ROW(MATCH...)) ---"is less than" ---IF(ROW(MATCH...)) formulas...and I keep getting INVALIDs in my formula palette.
I have a formula which looks in a folder for a file and returns the cell I want from that folder and work book
='H:NCHOCall CentreCall Centre ResourcingStats[NHC_Telephony_Daily_2012-11-27.xls]NHC Daily'!$E$55
as you can see I have a date in the middle, I want it to reference to a cell with a date in and return the information from that document with the change in date. So all I have to do is drag the formula down and it will return the info i want out of each report.I think it might be an add on that I need to download?
I'm creating a Purchase Order Form that will reduce time spent adding in contact details. What I'm looking to achieve is a form that will be printed with a few formulas allowing sections of the form to be filled out automatically once a singular company name (chosen from a drop-down list I created, currently with a 'Combo box ActiveX') then the rest of the form is filled out accordingly.
At the moment it's a bit of a mess, not too sure where I'm meant to put the ranges. There are currently 2 sheets - Sheet 1 with the form, Sheet 2 with all contact information.
