Refer To Worksheet Command Button From VBA?

View 1 RepliesNot to sure if it can be done but i would like to have a button on my spread sheet that once pushed it automaticaly saves my worksheet as a PDF in a selected company folder in my documents.
I know if you go to file and save as PDF, then save in selected folder will work, just looking for a quicker way so my staff just needs to push one button on the worksheet and it does it all. (dummy proofing the form i guess)
I need to enable and disable command buttons in my code. These command buttons are located on sheets. I assume that I can simply set the Enable property, but I am having trouble referencing the command button. I thought I could simply reference it by name but that is not working.

On the attached example, i have a check-box with controls cell M4.
There is also a command button on here, which i want to be visible when the cell value of M4 is "TRUE" and not visible when the cell value is "FALSE".
I assume i need to write some code into the worksheet to do this but don't know what to do.

The user selects a reel, then inputs other information. When an 'Enter' command button is clicked, I had like the data to be entered onto the next available row of the worksheet with the same reel name (eg, if reel 2 is selected from the combobox, then the data should be added to the Reel 2 worksheet on the next blank row.

i have a workbook with two sheets. i have a command button on sheet 1 that inserts another worksheet from another workbook based on a cell value in sheet 1. i would like this specific command button on sheet 1 to be hidden or disabled until a value is entered into a certain cell on sheet 1 that matches a value in a named range on sheet 2.

Both of them are with hidden tabs (unchecked "show sheet tabs").
On worksheet "Main" I have command button which opens worksheet "Control".
The assigned makro is: Sheets("Control").Select
The problem is: when I open "Control" and close after that the workbook, the next time when I open the workbook "Control" pops-up instead of "Main" even though I do not save it.
1. I need macro on "Main" which will allow me to open "Control".
2. Regardless I "Save" or "Don't Save" "Control" when selected and workbook is closed, to open the workbook always displaying worksheet "Main".
I use Excel 2007 (at home) & 2010 (at office).
Is it possible that when you press a command button, that the first thing it does is to execute the code assigned to another command button (IE in another sub).

However, when I try and create these codes using a Command button (I need it for the color), I get the error
"unable to get the buttons property of the Worksheet class"
P.S one other thing, say the button is in row 3, and Cells A1 and A2 are merged, when you click the button in row 3, it should extend the merge to A3.

I have read several articles saying using a command button as a toggle button can't be done but some articles have said it is possible using the state properties.

I have twelve sheets in the book called "Jan", "Feb" to "Dec". Now I will use value in the two sheets by this format:
Row1 will contain columns, "jan", "feb", and etc.
Row2 should be like "=JAN!b2", "=FEB!b2", etc till "=Dec!b2".
Now the question is, how can I use reference, but not directly put in the sheetname such as "Jan!b2"?

I need a list in my form, simple "Name/Number" list (only two options) but i don't want it to refer to any cell in the worksheet.
I want to input a text in a textbox and with the selection in the list above i want to have multiple choices at how to approach the text (if i input a name i want it to be different than if i input a number). All the info i came up on the web refers to lists made upon a range of cells.
How can i make a list without involving ranges of cells?
I put all my named ranges in a seperate worksheet in the workbook.
On a different sheet I have all my data with references to the named ranges. But what it gives me is the cell information from the sheet on which the named range is located and not on the worksheet where I actually need the calculations to be done.

the cells located in the worksheet in which i use it. In other words, when I use RedApples in Worksheet 3, it gives me what is sitting in A1 in worksheet 2 instead of in A1 on Worksheet 1.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAt the moment, I have a project where everyone is putting work data on seperate workbooks. Each months work is placed onto another worksheet within that workbook.
The supervisor has his own workbook, that grabs data from each of the workers books. Getting the data is easy enough, however because the supervisor has barely any knowledge of computers, I would like to make it as easy to set up for future months.
Right now, data is collected in each cell using the following formula:-
='[otherusersworkbook.xls]December 2009'!$C$620
Is there a way of getting that phrase to substitute the part that says "December 2009" with whatever is put into column A on the same row?
I have searched this topic but I came up with nothing regarding my exact situation.
I have 5 buttons on sheet 1. I want them to all direct me to another sheet in the same workbook. However, some buttons will contain more than one sheet.
Example: Button 1 will direct me to 4 different sheets. Is this possible?
Also, When I open the workbook, I see many sheets that I am working from but I do not want them to show up when I open the workbook. The only way to see these sheets is to click on the command buttons at the top of sheet 1.
When I press a command button I want to:
Uncheck a checkbox made with Control Toolbox
Check a particular Option Button within a group box made with the Forms Toolbar.
EDIT: Clarification, I want both things to happen when I click one button.
