Resample Data: Total Number Of Points Reduced By Averaging The Data Not By Simply Deleting One Of Every Four Rows

I have several files of data that are from a data logger. The data is broken up by day. Each day has roughly 43000 rows of data, at its sample rate. This has made charting the data a nuisance. Is there a way to resample the data so it fits in the 32000 points excel can chart? In the future I will set a sample rate that will keep the number of points below the 32K per series. I would like to be able to have the total number of points reduced by averaging the data not by simply deleting one of every four rows.

I would like to find the average of a column of data where the rows of data changes where my starting cell is always B53 but the end row of data can change after each simulation. The average function to be displayed at the bottom of the last row of data.

I am trying to average different rows and columns within a larger block data set in a series. This data is from a 96-well absorbance microplate reader experiment. I only mention this to describe the raw data output I am dealing with.
Each set of data is in a 12 x 8 block with the next block below it with one blank row between. So I have a block of data contained between A1->L1->L8. The next block is contained between A10->L10->L17. This continues for a total of 28 blocks.
I want to take averages from rows or columns from each block and autofill them into a single column. So for example I'll need =Average(A1-C1) with =Average(A10-C10) below it and so on and so forth. My problem is that if I try to autofill from this already started column the third row will take the average of A2-C2 instead of A19-C19.
Is there a formula/script for me to skip the correct number of rows to the next data block?

This may not be the best way to do this, but I don't know Macros or Pivot Tables.
I am looking for a way with formulas to do the following:
Within a workbook the 1st sheet is the data entry.
In another sheet that will total data from the data sheet is where I want to be able to total columns of data, depending on what is entered in one specific column:
Example:
Data Sheet, E2:E2999 is a unit number selcted by pull down tab entry.
G2:G2999 in the same sheet is where the data is.
Q: What formula would allow to total the data on the Total Sheet depending on what unit number is selected in column E on the Data Sheet and the data amount in column D from Data Sheet?

I have a macro that runs every 15 minutes and stores data into a table. This table is attached to a chart and auto updates with the new data every 15minutes. The table will house historical data over time, however I only want the chart to reflect the last 96 entries (15min data points over 24hours). So, once i have enough data my table will be A2:A97. When A98 is populated, i want the data in A2 to be removed from the chart only.
Here is a breakdown:
A2:A97 is currently displayed on the chart.
I enter new data into A98.
The chart will now display A3:A98.
I enter new data into A99.
The chart will now display A4:A99.
I enter new data into A100.
The chart will now display A5:A100.
and so on.
How I can accomplish this? Does this need to be done in VBA?

formula to make data on same line.On converting data2 is above data 1. I insert a column on left . Need to use mouse right click shortcut delete manually shift cells left and then delete shift cells upto have both data on same line but should be in different cells and same sequence per attached ALSO TO REMOVE "/ -DASH HYPENS.
What I need is formula to move the data2 on same alignment and to delete the two empty rows between both data.

I have created a spreadsheet with 4820 rows of data (4821 for computational purposes, the last row being blank) with 5 columns.
1. every third row is blank and it needs to be removed (3, 6, 9,...4818, 4821). Once this is accomplished,
2. I need to move the data that is now found in the even rows, column E moved to the above, current odd row, column F. (ie. E2 to F1, E4 to F3, E6 to F5,...E4808 to F4807...,E4820 to F4819 (however it won't go this high). then

I have a database in excel format containg 20,000 + rows with multiple columns, one of the columns contains web addresses in the format [url].
I have a list of around 3.500 web addresses that are no longer valid ie thay dont work, I want to filter the original list to delete all the rows that contain an invalid web address including all the other data in the row, does anyont know a way to do this without having to do it manually one at a time?

This is similar to a previous post, in July, which was masterfully solved. I have tried to adapt the previous script, without success. Therefore,
I have copied data from a screen and entered it into Excel 2007, which is attached as 'snohomish sample.xlsx The data starts out (sheet 1) in 8 columns (A-H), and only in the odd rows (1, 3, 5, ...) What I wish to do is the following:
Move 'sheet 1 column B' to 'sheet 2 column A'. This is a date which needs to be in mm/dd/yyyy form.
Move the last 14 digits in 'sheet 1 column F' to 'sheet 2 column B'. This needs to be text so that I don't loose any of the zeros.
Move 'sheet 1 column E' to 'sheet 2 column C'.
Leave 'sheet 2 column D' blank as I will be entering a currency amount after running the module.
Move 'sheet 1 column A' to 'sheet 2 column E'. This also needs to be text as I can't loose any zeros or have it in scientific format.
The rest of the data on sheet 1 is not needed on sheet 2.
I will be entering data in 'sheet 2 columns F-K' after running the module.
I am attaching 'snohomish results.xlsx' which shows what I hope the results to look like (note the sample results are on sheet 1 of a different file).

I'm trying to write a macro that will look at a table of data, and if column J is blank, it will delete the entire row and shift the data up. Also, if there is a "C" in column C, it will delete that entire row as well. I tried the code below, but for some reason it is not deleting all of the rows that it should. Is there some kind of problem with the code that I'm not catching? It looks like it should work perfectly...

I have attached a tiny part of a massive data set I am working on. As you can see in column 2, the data is roughly every 15min for 5 days. The data I am interested in averaging is color coordinated in column 3 (if you scroll down you can see a different color for each day's data set.)
In column 5 the dates are summarized into days as opposed to the 15min breakdown. In column 6 is the problem. How do I get the averages of the relevant data in column 6 in such a way that I can drag the formula down and the next cell will automatically calculate the average for the NEXT day, REGARDLESS of how many temp readings there are, as this data fluctuates from day to day.

I have a complex report with thousands of lines I am trying to clean up. In order to do this, I need VBA that recognizes specific text data starting after row 9. When it sees this, it will need to select and delete the 2 rows above it, the row it is in, and the 6 rows below it. 9 rows in total, some of which are blank. The text will repeat every 47-50 rows, but I cannot say exactly when it will repeat again. When it is repeated, I need the 9 rows deleted. At this time, there is only 1 column in the report because I need to split out the data in the cell into adjoining cells. Since I have not solved that yet, I need to just delete the entire row.
The text is written with spaces between each letter and a double space between words. It reads, "B I L L I N G M A S T E R I N V O I C E S E T U P L I S T I N G"

Problem: We have some rather large excel spreadsheets (142,000 rows, 190 columns) and some users that need to delete the data from rows of cells 5,000 rows + at a time. When doing this machines jump in CPU, Excel goes "not responding" and on average comes back to life 1 minute 45 seconds after pressing the delete key.
Note: We are not doing a right click and deleting the rows. This is a highlight of the 5000 rows and pressing the delete keyboard key to clear the data.
We've tried disabling the Auto Save and the Workbook Calculation changed to Manual.
Dell is no help, Microsoft is no help. This process can be replicated on multiple Dell machines and with Operating Systems of XP SP2, SP3 and Vista, machines with single drives, raided systems and even a machine with a solid state drive. All have 2GB of RAM or more.

I have a bar chart that was made from table 1 which has the value in it. I have another table, table 2 that has the name corresponding to the value in table 1. I want to color data points in a bar chart with a different color for each name I have in table 2. I also want to give a data label in the data points with the value I have in table 2 instead of the original data label from table 1. Is it possible to do it?

I have a large amount of data that is from an events file. When I enter it into excel, it almost maxes out the row count (excel 2010) The data basically lists Event, Date/Timestamp, Call ID, and a few other details. Im trying to get a total of specific events and if they were successful or not, so the other columns arent of concern. For instance, there is an event called searchbyphone, a later row in the data will include searchresult found or notfound. The only way to pair these up is by the ID number which is unique per call.
So in the example below, ID 123-45-789a was a search by phone and successful (found). The Date/Time field is down to milisecond. If this were just adding up all the various events and then totalling the searchresult found/notfound, it would be simpler. However, Im only interested in certain events and found/notfound is used for many other events.
Using the data below, what is the best way to pull out an event (say the total number of searchby phone) and then know how many of those were found and not found (when the information needed is on 2 seperate rows and only the ID would be the same?)
To through a wrench into it, there can be several events with the same ID becasue the ID is unique to a call - a caller can search by a few variables. There will be the same amount of found/notfounds though with that ID. (meaning as a caller, I can do a few searches and all of these will be in the event file with the same ID) In this case, the number of requests (events) will match the number of results (found/not found).
What Im trying to accomplish is to get a total of searchbyphone found and not found, So in this example I would have searchbyphone found = 1 and searchbyphone notfound = 0.

The spreadsheet I am working in has $ which I need to total. The information, or rows, can vary from day to day so there is no static place to have a cell with an @sum. Management wants me to add a pretty line that says
'Total' in one cell and the $ next to it. I have about 30 sheets with columns to total. Yuck, takes forever.
How do all of you total if you don't know the last row? At the top?
I thought it might work to put an @Sum in the last row of the spreadsheet, in the column
I need to total, and having a VB code to delete empty rows. That would be automatic.

I have run a pivot table state, city, address, floor and all the maths works out fine.. but the name in the 'total' rows, does not match the name in the data rows.. e.g. texas, dallas, 57 oilrig street has total rows saying CA toal,Newark total, 560 mission street total (obviously split across the appropriate rows for each total) but in each case, all those square feet, or dollars add up perfectly, for the data rows above them. double clicking the totals shows no sign of the rogue location... but these same entries are in EVERY set of totals in the pivot table!
POSSIBLE clue.. I generated the pivot at home, on Office 2003, and am now viewing it at work in 2002 version. (buit this could have nothing to do with it at all. Am I missing something obvious, or do i have good reason to pull my hair outr in frustration (first time this has happenned in a year of doing these reports daily)

I have a table that has a list of product names in column A and a list of product types in column B. Starting in Column C, each column represents a date for each day of the week. Each day of the week we run tests on our products to verify their quality. The result of the test is represented by a number. so column C has the test results for each product that was tested on 01/02/2013. Column D has the test results for 01/03/2013, etc.

I can filter, but would have to do that 365 times and involves a lot of pasting.
