Checking Non-duplicates In Column A Across 2 Sheets

I have a workbook with 2 sheets. What I want is:
1. Cells in column A, Sheet 2 are compared with the Cells in column A, Sheet 1.
2. Sheet 3 is produced containing all the rows in Sheet 2 for which there is no duplicate cell in Column A, Sheet 1.
3. The rows copied from Sheet 2 to Sheet 3 are highlighted on Sheet 2. Attached is a workbook with 3 sheets. Sheet 3 is the desired result (+ the cell highlighting on non-duplicates on Sheet 2).
On the attached example i am concatenating surname with the first letter of the forename. However, what i want to add into the formula is if the answer is a duplicate of another answer in a range that these duplicates are changed to surname and full forename.
Is this possible with a formula or would it need a bit of vba programming?
Is there a way of checking for duplicates in a range of cells using one cell only for the code? Return does not have to include what value is a duplicate - only true or false. This opposed to using multiple cell and COUNTIF or a pivot table.
I have a master sheet that has 3500ish names on it, and another sheet that I'll need to drop in a list of about 1000 names. What I need on the master is a way to check the dropped in data, find duplicated names, and flag them up.
Now, I believe what I did last time was have a true/false method of telling me if they're on both sheets, then use an IF formula to instead make Trues into "yes" and Falses into "no". However, I can't for the life of me figure out how I had it previously checking both sheets and confirming/denying if they're on both sheets or only appear once.

I'm trying to create a questionnaire and in each question you got to rank the answers 1, 2, 3 and 4 according to your preferences.
So I'm trying to use data validation to allow ranges between 1 and 4 and at the same time I'm trying to use =countif($A$1:$A$20,A1)=1 to prevent repeating selections but my problem is that with the data validation tool I can only select one of those options either allowing whole numbers between 1 - 4 or allowing custom and using =countif($A$1:$A$20,A1)=1.
I have a requirements in excel vba to evaluate and check the column data from other workbook. I would like to filter remarks for all "INTRANSIT" from my working file then If the data or tracking# is exist from the source file evaluate if transaction remarks is "Done" or if "Not yet" exist. If remarks from SourceFile is "Done" i will put "RECEIVED" or If "Not yet" i will put "INTRANSIT" in my Working file Remarks column.
I have 2 sheets, List 1 and List 2 Both lists contain generic part numbers in column A, so because there could be 2 manfacturers of the same part there will be duplication of the generic part number.
What I want is to prevent someone entering a generic part number in list 1, which already exists on list 2.
I there any cde which can be put in the sheet which will show an error message for this?
I'm working on a sheet I have to complete and I'm blocked 'cause I'm not able to find the right formula to get the result I need.
I have a sheet that contains 4 columns with the following content (consider the following just as an example. The real sheet contains more that 25,000 rows.
User ID Repository 1 Repository 2 Repository 3 001FG x 001FG x 10GA x 20PK x 20PK x 20PK x 21CC x 4C1D x
Now, the table contains the user id (unique ID) and three columns that stand for the access right the user has for accessing a specific repository.
This means that a User can have more than one occurrence in the sheet because it could have rights to access different repository (i.e. the user 20PK can access all the repository).
What I should be able to do is to transform the table above to a new one with unique user id and the rights for each repository. I would need something like this:
User ID Repository 1 Repository 2 Repository 3 001FG x x 10GA x 20PK x x x 21CC x 4C1D x
How can I do this by using a formula and not a macro?
what i want to do is 1 have a workbook with 3 worksheets. Sheet1 contains the columns:

For sheet 3, what i want to happen is that when i run the VBA macro, it searches through both worksheets (Sheet1 and Sheet2), finding rows that have matching Reference No. AND Line Item No. and combine all of the columns (and values) for that particular row into another row in Sheet 3. So for the above data set, the resulting data in Sheet 3 would be:
Reference No. Line Item No. Amount Date Quanity PersonInCharge 1 3 500 12/01 10 Kim
As this is the only entry in both sheet1 and sheet2 where there is a matching reference and line item no.
I have two spreadsheet in which I am looking for duplicate customer names.
1st - "Customers" 2nd - "Orders"
In column A of my Customers spreadsheet I have the following formula =IF(ISERROR(MATCH(E2,Orders$D2:D1000,0))=FALSE, "Y","N"). This allows me to see if a name in my Customer spreadsheet (column E is a field of names) is also in my Orders spreadsheet (column D is a field of names). My end results is either a Y indicating a duplicate or a N for no duplicates.
What I am looking to do next is to place in column B of my Customers spreadsheet the date that coincides with the duplicating customer name. Sorry to be confusing. If a customers name is found in the Orders spreadsheet I need to know what date has been given to this customer (column L in the Orders spreadsheet contains the date information).
However, on numerous occasions a customers name is found in the Orders spreadsheet more than once meaning there may be more than one date which needs to be placed in column B of my Customers spreadsheet.
I have 13 sheets of data in my open workbook. Column D, which includes blank cells at times, across each of these sheets maps the same info. of orders. However, I know there are several duplicates, and I want to clean them out. I am trying to figure out a way to highlight all the duplicates that appear only in column D beginning with sheet 4 and ending with sheet 13. I will leave the duplicates that appear on Sheets 5-13 alone, but I want to have them highlighted, so I can review the ones that appear on sheet 4 first, and then delete them.
Need to find a column of numbers from one worksheet and delete them from another.

Another issues is that the worksheet that needs to have the numbers deleted from has 3 columns total so the whole row would need deleting, or if its easier I could replace the numbers with 0 and then sort and delete.
I love this forum, and am usually able to find the help I need without bothering anyone However this one has me stumped and I wonder if anyone can help. It feels like it should be a fairly simple solution, but they can often be the ones that are most eluding LOL!
I have two columns; in column A are incoming telephone numbers and in column B are the date and time the calls were made. (I've put a few hashes in column A just to maintain confidentiality of the numbers, but in reality the cell is formatted as text in order to maintain the leading zero, and entries will follow the format 01234567890)
Some numbers only call in once, I need to identify them as only called once.
Some numbers call twice, if they do I need to be able to show time it took between call 1 and call 2.
Some numbers call more than twice. For each successive call I need to be able to show the time since the previous call.
In my mind, the results table would need to look something like this:

I'm looking to populate my Helper Column with all duplicates from my Data Column. Please note that my helper column needs all instances of a duplicate.

I need to remove the duplicates under column B for each item under column A and I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
I'm using Excel 2007; I would prefer a VBA solution, as I have to do this on a monthly basis. However, if a formula is the best way to go, then that's just fine. Either way, I'm preparing the data for a pivot table. I am unable to post the actual document in the interest of data protection.

In other words, each city should have only one instance of any name that accompanies it; not all names will accompany each city.
My issue is that I have 1200+ addresses to make more readable - the first column is the street name, the second is the post code(s) relative to the street - what Ideally I'd like to achieve is one row per street, the street name followed by the post codes... i.e. take this...
i have a wordlist which i want to enhance. The wordlist contains of three columns A, B and C. Column A contains of source words, column B of grammtical specifications and column C contain of meanings for source words. The sheet containing this list is named "original" and it looks for example like
I have a data set of property sales that represent properties sold twice over a period of time (each address is represented twice in one column but they are 2 different transactions and the remainder of the row data varies). I am looking for a formula or method to remove the duplicates, but I want to remove the duplicate that sold for less.
The entire row is not a duplicate, only the address. There is another column with sale price and I would want it to keep each address of the 2 (or sometimes 3) that is highest. I intend to use a pivot table to analyze and realized that the data is skewed because everything is showing up at least twice.
I have a column with something like 20 thousand rows. I would like a formula that basically checks the column for duplicates and numbers the sets of duplicates. So if there are 5 cells that are all "Server10" I would like for the formula to place a one next to all of those cells. And for the next set of duplicates it finds I would for it to place a 2 next to all of those cells. Essentially my end goal is to sort the sheet so that all of the matching duplicates are all together. There might be some simple filtering method here that I'm overlooking but if there is..... how to Delete Duplicates in Column D with a macro. It would search all of Column D and look for Duplicates and if it finds an exact value match it will delete one of the rows containing the duplicates. This is running in between a much longer macro which is the reason why I can't do it with conditional formatting.
I'm trying to create a macro that will Delete Rows of Duplicates found in Column D. It will start with the first row it finds that is yellow and check to see if that Column D matches any other yellow Column D's. If it does then the row the match is in gets deleted. Right now it searches in between the yellow rows, but for this portion I'm looking for it to use the yellow rows only. I included a file that has the examples on sheet1 and the expected outcome on sheet2.
Hi, the code in the codebox under here, which I wrote, is supposed to delete all duplicate records in the column. Which column to uniquify is stated in cell Skin!B17. I searched the internet round, and there are different solutions everywhere. I have been unable though to find the right one - so I thought, why not ask here. If you have a solution, I'd be happy to hear it ...
