In X1, I have 400 and wish to use this cell value as a varible in the copy range statement. This would make the new Range("J4:J400)

I'm looking for a way in VBA to have A1:D20 in Sheet2 copied and pasted in the "Bank Reconciliation" Sheet based on how many "Markets" there are in Column A. Then, once that's complete to have A22:D30 (the smaller box in Sheet2) copied and pasted directly below those results.
I have what the macro would hopefully generate to the right in "Bank Reconciliation" (B6:E54) as an example. So if there's a market in A1, copy and paste the box to B6. If there's a market in A2, copy and paste the box directly below the first (B26) etc. etc. until it's done, then paste the smaller box directly below whatever the macro generates.

In the code below I am trying to scan a column and copy the values -.03 and lower OR 0.3 and greater. I selected a case to do nothing if the value is within the range of -0.2 To 0.2 but this configuration will still copy over -0.2 and 0.2 values along with the ones outside this range. I tried using -0.3 To 0.3 but that skipped the 0.3 values.
Is the negative throwing this off? The code works perfectly, it just brings the twos with it.

Looking for a way to search an active cell (that has been found using macro) for numerical data and if there is some present paste this in a different location
If there is no numerical data in this this cell then paste a 0 in a different location
An example of the string contained in the cell
Product 7.5% wheat <- i would want 7.5 (or 7.5%) copied to a different cell
or
Product X <- i would want a 0 copied to the cell the 7.5 would be in from the above
I can find the cell to search in, i just do not know the correct way to extract the information I need.
I need to create a variable for the number of rows in a copied range.
The user will copy a range from an external workbook could be any number of rows.
On the target workbook I will be using a User defined Menu button to fire the paste.
I need to know how to count the number of rows that are in the the range that has been copied.
I need to compare a S/n from a huge amount of datarows in sheet 1 with the s/n in a second worksheet.
If the s/n matches i need to copy the datarow from sheet 1 to sheet 2 next to the data allready existing in sheet 2. This removing the row from sheet 1.
If there is no match found in sheet 2, the row ha's to be copied to sheet 3, this also removing the datarow.
like:
sheet 1:
S/n -- name -- price
sheet 2:
S/n -- place -- stock
if match is found need to become:
S/n -- place -- stock -- S/n -- name -- price
if there is no match found data go to sheet 3.
I need help with creating a macro that runs when a user enters a value in the 'Numbers' column, copies and pastes data in the corresponding worksheet 'Worksheet' column by the value of 'Numbers' column data. An excel file is attached.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI need method, using a button, that looks at a cell--say EO2, for example--, looks back on a master worksheet at a specified row and range for a match, then looks at the information from a specified range below the matching cell (The information in this column will either be blank or have an "X" in the cell), and then those rows that do not have an "X" will be hidden in the corresponding rows in the working worksheet. Therefore, if at any time the value in "EO2" ever changes, then it will automatically find a new match and repopulate and hide information as before. About 130 columns will have its own button so that a "query" can be made that depends on the information in a particular cell in that column.
The master worksheet now has matrix of 287 rows and 58 columns. Each row is for an operating procedure and each column shows a job code. An "X" in a coordinate cell for a column/row shows whether that job code is responsible for knowing that operating procedure. So, on the working sheet, an employee's primary job code is given underneath his or her name. When the button is pushed, all the operating procedures not required for a given person will be hidden and only the required ones will remain visible--grouped, if you will. Qualification dates will be easier to see now that the information is consolidated. Whenever someone transfers to a new position, a new code will be inputed on the working sheet. When the button is pushed, a new grouping will result. Any operating instructions that overlap will still have qualification dates, so that information will not need to be transcribed.
I have a basic formula =C17+'Asset Depreciation 2008 Onwards'!C24, and I want to copy it down just using the drag function. Problem is that the second reference range of cells are in rows and hence when I copy it down it doesn’t automatically update the cell references because it want to update them by column number instead of row number. IE I want it to display =C17+'Asset Depreciation 2008 Onwards'!
D24, instead of C25. Do you know if there is any way of telling Excel that I want it to increase the column number by 1 every time, instead of the row number for this part of the formula?

A3 down is a list of country names and then B3:I71 contains the data im interested in.
I've been trying to create a function that looks at B3:i71 to see if any cell in that range contains a value greater then $0.00. If it does then the row that contains the cell with a value greater then $0.00 (between col A to K) should be copied to sheet MAIN from cells B3 down. This should ultimatley produce a list of data for any row containing a value greater then $0.00. This process should then be repeated on Sheet 2 and should join the list below sheet 1.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a table, based on what people predict in sports games. I have most of it in place, but I have hit a brick wall where one part of it is concerned. For example, cells M43:M56 have the scores for each week of what one person predicted., so it could be 2,5,7,2 and so on. What I then need the table to do is determine which round or week it is and display the relevant score. So based on the above let's say it's round 3, and his score would be 7 for the week, and the cell to the right of this shows the week's score plus his total score so far.

I have a macro in which I have named a range of numbers in a spreadsheet, used the "find" function to find a particular number in that range, and now would like to copy some information into a cell in the same row as the found number. However, when I try to move over to the cell that I'm copying to, it only goes to the 1st row in the range that I have defined.
Here's the portion of code I think you need to see. Everything works...it finds a match...but then I don't know what to do from there to get the information to the correct row:

My company has an excel file that has our new customer's information (colum A & B are first & last name;Column C is customer email; Colum D is cutomer phone, ect...)
once that information has been entered we have another excel file that will load all of a customer's information, and then be pasted into a welcome letter into MS Word for their confirmation & emailed to them
The problem I'm running into, Is that I do not know how to populate my nex excel sheet with the info I want only from a specific line.
I would like to enter a line / row number (for example '6') and than have excel go to that file & copy/paste the name, phone, email, company name, ect. into my new excel sheet
I have one that works already, but the previous owner PW protected it & hid his formulas/macros, so I'm in a dead end now...
I've got a range of data in Column D approx 50,000 rows long and I need to go down this range and when theres a blank cell copy the info from the cell above. I've got some code which loops through this but I need to make sure I put "EOF and the bottom of the info to stop the loop. Is there a slicker way of writing this code?

I have this macro when run copys and pastes values for a row of cells onto another sheet. However if 2 cells in the same row have a number greater than zero. It duplicates the entry. What I need is some sort of check that says if 2 or more cells in the same row have a number greater than zero just copy that row once only.

I have a series of columns, and at the bottom of each column I have a cell (which ill call the Total Cell) which automatically adds up the 10 or so cells above it.
What I am trying to do is create a function so that if one of the Total Cells amount drops into the -1000 range Excel will highlight that particular cell or give an error or do something to draw attention to it.
My goal would be to click on a cell within a range of cells (in a column) and have the value copied to a specified destination cell. There would be a few different columns with source cells and two destination cells. Each column would to copy to a specific cell. My ojective is basically to deal with different processing times (days, weeks, months).
Here's a little visual, clicking on C4 for example would copy the value "5" to cell B2. Clicking on D4 would copy "12" to A2.

I have selected all 13 rows and 7 days and named them 'week1', and the next 7 days 'week2', the next 7 days 'week3' etc/What i want is to display the named range based on a single cell selection based on a cell value in a different sheet.
The basics of it should be "If cell C1 = 1 then show me 'week1' or if cell C1 = 2 then show me 'week2' etc.
I have a hyperlink cell. Straightforward copying and pasting it to another cell works well, with the new cell replicating the hyperlink. However, if I try to copy the hyperlink cell to a range of cells (say B1 to B5), at first it looks ok, but once I click one of them, it appears they are all clicked. And if I delete one of the cells in the range, say B3, ALL cells within that range loses its hyperlink. It looks like all of these hyperlinks are referencing one another, but once I delete one cell, the rest loses its hyperlink (the words are still there). At the current time, I have to copy into the range individually (copy to B1, then B2, then B3...etc), but this becomes a hassle if I have a large range.

I need to search column (k) and (x) range (“K2 : K147”) and (“X2 : X147”) in (sheet1) for values >0 if there is, then copy from (“f : m”) if it is found in the (k) column, or copy from (“s : z”) if it is found in the (X) column, and paste value only to the next empty cell in sheet2 . Sheet2 is empty so (A) on down is fine for paste range. There is a spin button in the copy range column (L) and I don’t want that picked up in the copy. Manually I (paste text) only but I think (values only) will do the same thing.

I am using the following code to update an invoice summary sheet from an invoice sheet but when a Credit Note is issued I would like the Nettďż˝ value copied across to be a negative figure. When a credit note is issued the value of Service Invoice Cell L2 = 2 and an invoice L2 =1.

Say I have (cell A1) 10 salespeople and they each sell a (A2) $100/month membership, so I have (A3) $1,000 monthly revenue.
(A4) is an assumption about how many months the average person will stay a member.
So if A4 = 6, (6 month membership assumption) how would I get Excel to output $1,000 (the result from A3) into cells B3 through B8
but then for instance if A4 = 3 (3 month membership assumption) it would only output the the $1,000 result from A3 into cells B3 through B5
So like A1 through A4 of...

I can't seem to make SumIF or Vlookup do what I want here.
I have a table like that below. I also have a cell on the same sheet called CurrentPeriod in which a user can enter a period number corresponding with one of the values in the first column.
If someone enters 3 in "CurrentPeriod" I want to sum the first three values in the "Actual" column and then divide the result by the sum of the first three values in the "Target" column (effectively giving a percentage of target at the end of period 3)
