Compare Dates To Date Range & Return Date Based On Outcome
I need to compare three cells of random dates shown in Column E, F,& G with Row's H5:AK5, H7:AK7, H9:AK7 (the Dates to these rows is Static on row H3:AK3.) EX: ROW 5 has Start Date, End Date (1) and End Date (2). Compare Cell H3 between Start Date & End Date (1). If H3 falls between or equal to Start and End Date(1) then highlight cell H5. Proceed till AK3 (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then compare cell H3 between or equal to End Date (1) and End Date (2) (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then do the same for ROW 7 and ROW 9. To make things a bit more difficult I need to have " WK#" in Row 14 (these WK# is on another tab called "Task" of the workbook) needs to be displayed in Row's H4:AK4, H6:AK6, & H8:AK8. EX: Compare Date in D15 between or equal to Start Date & End Date (1) then display Wk# in D14 in H4. Continue till all dates in D15:Z15 are compared to Start Date & End Date (1) and WK#'s in Row D14:Z14 are inputted if applicable in Row H4:AK4, H6:AK6, H8:AK8. I hope this is not confusing. Fill Table Based On Another Within Date Range & Cut Off Date
I have an 'existing results table' as per my attached sample. I have had help previously from this forum to create lists of 'sold' stock within date ranges (tax year periods) and these are represented as 'sold list' in my attached sample. I now need to create a list of 'unsold stock' for each annual tax year end date; i.e. populate my table with items that have been created before the end of the date range and that have not been sold by the end of the date range. Please can someone show me the formula on my attached sample? Please see my example in red. I am working with Excel07 however my attached sample is in Excel03 because I couldn't upload an XLSX file.

Count Occurrences Within Date Range
I need to count the number of occurrences of a range of dates in one column. These are not unique dates, but dates between two date periods i.e. number of dates falling between 02/07/07 and 09/07/07. I have tried using the COUNTIFS function and inserting the column range (e.g. B7-B57) and then searching for dates <=02/07/07. However, what I need is to search for the number of times any date in a given period occurs i.e. number of 03/07/07s in a period from 02/07/07 to 09/07/07.

I am very comfortable with VBA but I usually avoid using formulas if at all possible (unfortunately, I have, formulas are unavoidable (by request).. so formulas it is) I will try to explain Column A is a list of dates (ever expanding) Column B is a list of names ( multiple entries of various names but aligned with various dates) Column H is a list of names (each possible name which can appear in column B, no duplicates) Cell I1 = A Date Cell J1 = A Date (forming a date range) Basically what I need to do is: = COUNTIF(B:B,H2) - but only count it if it is withing the date range (>=I1 & <=J1) I have tried wrapping it in an IF statement but I can't seem to get it to work.

Count Column W/blanks & Values Based On Specific Date
I am in desperate need of a function that will count a column of data where there are blanks and values based on a certain date that will also capture any data that is added after refreshing the table from Access. I have tried several functions but this is what I have: =(ROWS('TouchBack Detail'!$Q:$Q)*COLUMNS('TouchBack Detail'!$Q:$Q))+(COUNTIFS('TouchBack Detail'!$B:$B,'Nov TouchBack Summary'!B$1)). The result should be 3 but it’s including all other cells in the column that are not and should not be included in the refreshed table’s data (Table_TouchBack.accdb). I have attached the spreadsheet for review. The function is in cell B27 highlighted in yellow.

Count Conditional Format Cells In Date Range
Hello, we have a stop light spreadsheet for status with several different projects. In each row there are conditional format status green - good, yellow - needs work, red - bad...based on data from another tab. There is an "overall status" column that pulls the worst color that exists for a given row. =IF(COUNTIF(F1:V1,"r")>0,"R",IF(COUNTIF(F1:V1,"y")>0,"Y",IF(COUNTIF(F1:V1,"g")>0,"G",""))) There is also a date for each row. Now we want to pull the worst color in the "overall status" column for a date range...and display that on a separate summary tab. For 4/1/09 thru 4/15/09 - pull the worst color from the "overall status" column from that date range.

Count Unique Entries Within Variable Date Range
Using the DCOUNT function is generally a straight forward proposition but I'm not getting the expected results and would like for someone to take a look and help me understand why. Goal: create a count of unique entries within a defined variable date range I have a data table with duplicate values and need to count unique entries, the result of which will be used in a calculation. Due to a requirement to track the counts in a rolling 30-day period, the flexibility of daily selecting the date ranges is a necessity, which is why I chose to use DCOUNT and feed dates into the criteria cells. I've been attempting to use the DCOUNT function but I'm not getting the correct result. Oddly, after duplicating the table and formula on the "Count Repeated Items Once" page, even those results are incorrect. It seems, too, that COUNTIF does not like (accept) dynamic named ranges. Hard coding the range into the formula yields a result of TRUE, but using a dynamic named range gives FALSE. Anyone else experience this and is there a work around (that is, if I have not erred in its use)?

I've been struggling for hours on what should be a simple formula. I have 6 columns containing various dates. On each row I want to count of the 6 columns how many dates were unique and after 3/15/09. I've been using the following formula however it still counts a cell even if it's prior to 3/15/09. =SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(A1:F1,A1:F1)>3/15/2009,1,0)). I've attached a sample file for reference.

I have 2 columns on column contains 2 numbers, the other comlumn has names. We'll use A1:A4 and B1:B4 for the example. Macro: Count Data In Range Based On Criteria
I have a list of several ranges defined in vba, and i am trying to find which range a cell containing word is in excel. Im am looking for help for a good way of doing this. For an example: Say I have 2 ranges defined, the first range corresponds to column A, the second to column B (just an example). The word "Dog" is written in cell B15. I want to find out in vba what range "Dog" is in. I would like some vba code to check and find either if it in a given range (boolean) or a way of checking a list of ranges and returning which it is in. The word will only appear once on the spreadsheet. I have played around with the find command (A=range.find(Pl), then check if A exists) but i havent had any luck (I get an 'Object variable or With block variable not set) I tried searching for a while, but was having trouble finding something related to what i am trying to do.

Avg Based On Date Range
I am diabetic and track my blood sugar on a spread sheet I created. Each month is a page named for the month and year. ( ie: may07, June07 etc ) The last page is my averages page. I monitor averages from the begining as well as several 'last 3 month' statistics. At this time I have to go in each month and change the months on the '3 month averages' formulas then add a month to the 'over all' formula. I want to use a formula that will simply look at the last 3 months without having to manually change the months as well as the 'overall' formula automatically calculating "all" months without adding a new month every month. And last but not least, I have some sub-total boxes giving a div by zero error with blank cells. What am I doing wrong? Not all boxes do this even though the code is copied and pasted so they all 'appear' identical. Rather than try to paste my code here you can see my spreadsheet at [url]

Selecting Range Based On Date
On sheet 1 in cell A2 I have a date (2/22/07). On sheet 2 I have 4 columns of data...column A has consecutive dates. I am looking for a code that will select the range that begins with the week beginning date of the date that was inputted on sheet 1 and the week ending date. I have a spreadsheet with two columns - column A contains dates and column B has the corresponding data (always numbers). The data is not uniform (i.e there may be lots of entries in any given day and none over the next few). The data is always sorted in chronological order. I want to set up a summary table to show the min, mean, median, max for each week. I have set up an array to calculate the mean, but I am having trouble working out a good way of gettting the others short of having a set of columns that manually define each cell...for instance =min(b3:b27) or =min(b28:b30).

Count Filled Cells In One Column Based On Date In Another Column
I think I am working all around this in Excel 2003 and feel like I am in the neighborhood, but can't seem to quite get there. On sheet1 I have 2 columns of 100s of rows. All of the cells in column A will be filled in with a date as time goes by (1-May-09 for example). Several of them may be 1-May-09 as a matter of fact. In column B, some of the cells will have a number in them and some of them will be empty. On sheet2, I want to construct a formula that returns a count of cells in column B that have a number in them based on a specific date in column A. For example: AB 1-May 1-May777 1-May 1-May 1-May 2-May999 3-May 2-May 1-May 2-May111 1-May If I could get the formula right, it would return an answer of 1 for 1-May in the example, because only 1 of the 1-May entries in column A has a number in the adjacent cell in column B. A formula for 2-May would return an answer of 2 since only 2 of the 2-May entries in column A have numbers in the adjacent cell in column B, and so on for the month. If I understand things right, there are too many arguments for COUNTIF. It seems that SUMPRODUCT should work, but I can't make it so.

1 column in my sheet is a list of dates (affectively a calendar). I am trying to create a macro that will only display rows 1-5 and then current the current date and the next 30 days and hide all other rows. The approach I have tried is to use “ADDRESS(MATCH(BS40,$B$1:$B$462,0),2)” equation to find the cell with todays date in it (Cell BS40 contains todays date). This was repeated for todays date +30. Formula To Show A Date Range Based On The Amount Shown In Another Cell
Attached is a excel file that has a working formula for tracking cashier variances. I edited out names etc. I added a new cell called Track Back on the employee search sheet. What I want to do is only show variances for the amount of days back selected in the Track Back cell. For example if I select the last 30 days, only the last 30 days would show up below in the sheet. Copy Rows To New Sheet Based On Date Range Selected On A Form
This spreadsheet must perform calculations for every line since new items are added every day, so VBA is probably better than copying formulas down every line of the spreadsheet: With the press of a button, I need to be able to select a range of dates and copy all lines within the range to a seperate sheet with the desired name under the same headings they currently reside under. I have included some modified code that is being used in another spreadsheet that was created for me, but I do not pretent to understand all of it and I no longer work with the creator of the spreadsheet. How do I use a button to open the form for date selections and entering the name of the new sheet, and then use the start button on the form to begin the matching and copying to a new sheet? If there is an easier way I am all for that too. Also, I need to keep a total of all items by month as well as a monthly and annual average of the Total Item Value on the FY09 tab. This will eventually produce another sheet when a button is pressed to submit as a report. I think part of this answer is in using the MONTH(serial_number) function but I can only get this to work for a single cell. I need to search the entire Distribution 'D' column, match all the months to the FY09 tab to the respective month, and calculate the totals and averages. I think SUMIF may also be needed as well but need the MONTH(serial_number)to work first. If there is a way to code all of this in VBA that would be fine as well. I have a pivot table on Sheet1 where I am trying to get the totals and averages described above but I am not sure it can do what I need. In column 'B' I need the total number of each item as well as the total number of all items. I tried various formats and adding the totals from the Totals tab but I have not figured it out.

Count How Many Times A Given Date Falls Between Date Pairs
I'm trying to use countif or similar to show how many times a given date is between 2 dates (inclusive). Each row of the spreadsheet contains amongst other info, a Start Date and an End Date. If i've got 2 rows like this: StartDate EndDate 01/01/2009 03/01/2009 02/01/2009 04/01/2009 I'd want to lookup 02/01/2009 and have it return 2 (02/01/09 falls between the dates on row 1 and the dates on row 2). To give some context, this is an export from a database containing staff holiday dates, and I'd like to be able to see how many people will be on holiday on any given date, given the start and end date of all holiday occurances throughout the year.

Date Range: Reference A Single Date And Output Date Ranges
I need to create formulas that reference a single date and output date ranges. The objective is to have a person input a Monday date in any given month and receive a four weeks out worth of dates and ranges. For example: In a lone cell, the person inputs 10/13/08. Automatically, the sheet produces the next full week range: October 19 – October 25 in a single cell and also produces a cell for each date. Example: Sunday 19, Monday 20, Tuesday 21, etc…. It should look like: Monday Date: 10/13/08 October 19 – October 25 Sunday 19 Monday 20 Tuesday 21 Wednesday 22 Thursday 23 Friday 24 Saturday 25 and then repeat for three more weeks. I thought I had it figured out until the month changed. The dates continued in October instead of adding a month. This report will be ran weekly, so simply adding a +1MONTH to some cells will not benefit me as I’ll have to change the formula every week. I want the formula to compute the data without any manipulation over the next several years. The only change will be the Monday date.

I need to create a formula that states a delivery date when the order date is entered in an adjacent column. Items ordered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be delivered the Friday of the following week, eg. ordered 23rd April 2008, delivered on the 2nd of May 2008. Items ordered on Thursday or Friday will be delivered on a Friday 2 weeks later, eg. ordered on the 24th April, delivered on the 9th of May 2008
