Basically what I want to achieve is the average % of Dec 11 (D11:D22 on the sheet im working on) scores but excluding any blank fields (not excluding potential scores of 0%)

Dec 4, 2013I need a spreadsheet to record the number of calls taken by my staff YTD, and have it laid out as follows:
Column A Column B Column C
1 Date Calls Taken Increase
2 01/01 10
3 02/01 13 3
4 03/01 19 6
-19
etc.
The "Increase" is a simple =B4-B3 etc. But, there is a problem...
Say for example a member of staff is ill one day and therefore doesn't take any calls, I end up with a 'blank' cell in column 'B'...

My problem is the increase in calls from 03/01 to 05/01 YTD ISN'T 25, it's 6.
Is there a formulae I can use that works out the difference between the latest number of calls taken and the last number of calls taken (excluding the 'blank' cells)?

Finding Location Of Last String Of 26+ Consecutive Blanks In Row?
Jan 18, 2013I've attached an example of the data I am trying to solve this problem for. Basically I am looking for strings of 26 blanks or more in a row, but I want to determine the ending location of the last string of 26+ blanks. I've been able to determine the location of the maximum string of blanks, but that max group of blanks isn't always the last set over 26.
Any link to find the location of last string of blanks of 26 or more? The example I attached is a good example since there are two strings of 26+ blanks with the last one being shorter. I've also include the answer I'm looking at the end of the data in the example.

If there are consecutive timestamps (ex. 600-620, 620-640) that he's been late, I wanted Excel to display 1 and then I'll just sum it up. Or if Excel can do this directly, add all the instances because what I actually need is the total per person.
In this example, I would need a result of 4 instances.

I am using a formula right now that counts the blanks in column A until the last used cell but I don't know how to apply the range of column A to other columns like B and C. Here is an example of what I hope to accomplish:

The attached example explains things a lot better.
I am going to have 2 formulas. 1 for the "Big" group and one for the "Small" The formula needs to look first at the column that has the group in it. Then it needs to count everything is column A excluding "Snake" And return the value.

Jul 8, 2014I created a UserForm in which the user inputs data and then press "OK" in order to save an output into a specific worksheet. Once the "OK" button clicked, the UserForm repeats itself with some textboxes in blank so that a new output can be generated.
I am trying to display in a Label of the UserForm the number of times the "OK" button is clicked BUT starting from one. In other words, before pressing "OK" the Label indicates "unit no1" and once the "OK" button is clicked it should go "unit no1 +1" and so on.
For that purpose, I am using the following code:

The label displays Unit nº1 when starting (which is right). However when I click the OK button it still displays "unit nº1" and then it starts counting normally.
The thing is that it should display "unit nº2" from the 1st "OK" click.
Excluding Zeros From Count
Jan 30, 2014I have pivot table that is pulling data from a page that is using the vlookup formula. I would like the table to only include fields that have data in the count. However, the pivot table is registering cells that have "0" (i.e., there's no actual data in the cell it is pull from) as having data. How can I get the pivot table count to ignore these cells?

Apr 2, 2008I have to calculate bonus payments for people working O/S. I have a 5 year calendar in month blocks (60 months/columns). In each month there is a percentage 'time O/S' figure.
If an employee is O/S for 3 consecutive months they get bonus 'A', 6 consective months bonus 'B', etc. How can I evaluate the 60 columns, returning the number of times 100% occurs in 3 consecutive months/columns. I have found examples of similar solutions but they will return a value of 3 if there are 5 consecutive months of 100%...
ie. 100 100 100 100 100
= 100 100 100 *** ***
& *** 100 100 100 ***
& *** *** 100 100 100
= 3
but I need it to equal 1

Sep 22, 2011I'm trying to come up with an array formula to count the consecutive declines or increases from the last value in a column, going from bottom to top. The real world application is a list of daily stock prices down a column, and counting from the most recent day, how many consecutive days the price declined or increased.
I got some hints in the following post but can't get it evaluate the resulting logical array in reverse order (which is needed since column addresses are evaluated top to bottom, not bottom to top).

Jul 25, 2009I am a remodeling contractor trying to monitor trips my employees are making to the lumberyard. I am able to export to excel from our accounting program a column of dates that invoices are made and another column that tells me whether trips were made before 8:30, between 8:30 and 3:30, after 3:30, or whether materials were delivered involving no trip. So I can count "time of day" trips. I also want to know if multiple trips were made in a single day, or if trips were made 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. days in a row.

In this example, I have 2 trips made on a single day; 1 instance of trips made 3 days in a row; 1 instance of trips made 2 days in a row (Friday, and then again on Monday since we don't work weekends) and 1 instance of 1 trip made on an isolated day. Additionally, we have 4 trips made before 8:30; 2 trips between 8:30 and 3:30 and 1 trip made after 3:30. Columns for a single job could range to 30 or 40 trips or more, and we have 6-12 jobs running at any one time, so I could be looking at data for all of those jobs once a month if I can figure out how to make it easy to do. I have figured out how to count up the time of day trips (but included the example here for a fuller picture of what I'm trying to do) but cannot figure out how to count the number of 2,3,4,5 etc.-day-in-a-row trips that are being made.

Aug 13, 2008I am preparing a attendance sheet. I am using 1 & 0 for present(=1) & absent(=0). I want to find out if a student has been absent for three consecutive days and if there is three consecutive 0 then the formula should return the value 0 ( the student gets 0 if he is absent for 3 consecutive days ) otherwise it should add all the 1s in the row. i.e

Count Sickness Days Excluding Weekends?
Dec 4, 2013I have a holiday and sickness chart for all of the guys in my maintenance department for the whole of next year (2014). The holidays part works fine. The sickness is split into two areas; the number of occurrences of sickness and the total number of days sick. To make the formula work for the number of occurrences it is necessary to enter sick in both Sat and Sun if the sickness spans the weekend. But we do not work the weekend and so I do not want to count those two days. The formula needs to cover the entire year (cells BL5:ZL5). The calculation that I am currently using is =COUNTIF(BL5:ZL5,"Sick")/2 (divided by two as we log a.m. and p.m. and the answer is in days). In the example attached, it would be 1 occurrence of sickness and 3 days sick, not 4 as shown.
For completeness, the formula that I am using for the occurrences is =SUMPRODUCT((BL5:ZL5="Sick")*(BL5:ZL5<>BK5:ZK5))
Count Word Occurrences But Excluding Keywords?
Feb 13, 2014I have a list of courses that are run each month, I have a formula that counts the occurrences of these words to show how many times each course is run per month.
However, there are 'other' courses that will be run adhoc which I want to count the occurrences of. It basically needs to count if there is text there but exclude the normal courses which are run.
