Display Multiple Records In Row

How to write a code for displaying multiple data in sheet2 row wise.
I want to use IF condition with for loop.
I have a range of columns i.e. 23 columns (i.e. B through X). Someone can write records in these columns (starting from B21).
Duplicates are considered the rows with similar data in columns 3 and 11. I know about the removeduplicate method and works really well but i want the duplicates not to be removed. Instead another column shall be checked for date of entry (user will entry date in format dd/mm/yyyy). The newest entry will change the value of the cell in column 4 (islatest column)to TRUE while all other records will be FALSE. This will work with the filtering of data on a pivot table on another worksheet.
give me the script (syntax) and place to be written it in a form in ms access 2003.
1. Text box1 should be displayed the value of field1 from table randomly, when I click the command button1.
2. Text box2 should be displayed the value of field 2 of the same record, when I click the command button 2.
I am very new to Excel/VBA. I have created a "Customer Complaint System" in excel and have designed a user form for users to enter new complaints.
My next step is to design a Search or Look up form for viewing the complaints where users can choose to look up complaints by either Complaint No or Customer or Month.
The worksheet that stored my data is called "ComplaintData" which is hidden. In the sheet "COmplaintData" I have following 10 Columns:
Column A - Complaint No
Column B - Date
Column C - Customer
Column D - Contact Person
Column E - Product
Column F - Batch
Column G - Category (This relates to Complaint Category)
Column H - Description
Column I - Account Manager
Column J - Month (This just takes value from B and converts to month, so hopefully I can sort by month if required..)
I did see a few examples of look up forms but am struggling to customise them to suit me.
Ideally I need a combobox & textbox in serach field. So user can choose the "Search by" category using combobox e.g. Complaint No, Customer or Month and then enter the relevent text in the textbox to carryout the search.
and then use labels & listbox to display the related fields on the form. The reason I prefer labels is that I do not want users to edit the info. and listbox to show multiple results out of which user can choose specific one....e.g. when user does a search by Customer, I want listbox to show the various products that customer has logged complaints for.
I have a product Database with 11 columns. I am trying to build a Search/look-up userform.
I found a brialliant example of the same posted by Roy, UK. I have copied the same and its working well, but with a few little problems.
Here's what I've got:
I have a userform with a Combobox (called Combobox2) where it shows all the products from column B in the worksheet "ProductData". In the worksheet "ProductData" , I have 11 Columns with headings from B1:L1.
When user selects a product from the dropdown list (from Combobox2), all the details related to that product from other columns are displayed on the userform via labels.
This part is working fine....except that the values in Combobox2 are taken from activesheet and I want them to come from worksheet "ProductData".
I have hidden the sheet "ProductData".
Second Part is, I have about 20 products in the Database and all of them have a Product Specification Sheet in PDF format. I am just wondering, if there is any way I can have a button on the userform that can used to open this PDF datasheet for the product thats being lookeed up by user.
What I mean is, if user selects productA from the combobox2, then it displays all the info about the the ProductA on the labels on the usewrform. and if user clicks on the "View Data Sheet" button then it opens the Datasheet PDF file for ProductA.
Below is my code for the first part:
Option Explicit
Private Sub ComboBox2_Change()
Dim ws As Worksheet
Set ws = Worksheets("ProductData")
Dim Ncell As Range
With Range("B2", Range("b65536").End(xlUp))
Set Ncell = .Find(ComboBox2.Value, LookIn:=xlValues)
I can view the data how I need to by conditional formatting and pivot tables but HR wants to get rid of all rows that: only have 1 accounting line per document such as Doc MI310712 in attached sample So I only want to display records if there is more than 1 accounting line for each document
My understanding of Excel is that in order to get rid of rows that a VBA macro is needed since there is no function to do it. My VBA is limited but is there a way to specify criteria in a filter to hide the rows using a formula?
Certification and Training tracking.xlsx
I want to create a certification only list on a separate tab of training that has been completed where a certification has been issued (as indicated by a "Y" in the "Certification?" column on the training tracking tab) and then populate from some of the fields vs. all of the fields.
What I have now, only pulls the first occurence, not all occurences. I saw that I could have identified the multiple columns that needed to be populated, but it didn't work either, so I'm fine putting a separate vlookup in each column.
I am trying to lookup data from a list and return multiple records. I cannot use row or column funtion as the tool will not allow
I have tried something similar to this but its not working =INDEX(C$2:C$102,SMALL(IF($A$2:$A$102=$G$3,$K7-$K$7+1),$K7))
the attached excel has the data set. The attached picture has also a sample data that I need formula for.
I need to select the record that has the highest number in column C by using an input value like (red).
desired Result : red, gt3, 100
A..............B...............C
red..........rt2.............12
green.......rt3..............4
red..........st2..............33
blue.........st4.............45
green.......st1.............44
red..........gt1............100
blue.........ft4..............85
Is it some variation of the MAX function?
I'm trying to find a way to extract multiple records from a List. I'm looking, I guess, for the multiple-record extract version of dGet().

In other words, if I have table A:........
and table B:......
I would like to add a column to table B containing a function that would indicate, in this instance, that only Larry-San Francisco, CA is a record shared by both tables.
I have a spreadsheet with multiple columns and rows of data. I want to be able to type in a criteria and all the rows containing the criteria are called up. For example
Col A Col B Col C
Row 1 Apple Fruit 12
Row 2 Banana Fruit 15
Row 3 Carrot Veg 13
I want to have a cell on another sheet in which I can place a criteria, eg Fruit, and then the entire row 1 and 2 are displayed on the second spreadsheet.
I am writing a VBA function that will search for a value in a column(say column B) in a table. This column can have duplicates. So my search needs to get all the records that match the value (including duplicates) and from these records i need to return only one value among records fetched that has maximum in another column in the same sheet(say column D).
Eg :
sno dept name marks r1 cs sush 55 r2 ece ram 68 r3 cs harish 77 r
So if i give "cs" value to search it must give me 77 as output. I tried to write my own Lookup function but isn't working and getting #value.
Book1 and Book2 are workbooks that I have modified in order to protect private information.
Book1 will have 11,000 records (my example Book1 has only 100). I need to rearrange Book1 such that it looks like Book2. Book2 has 20 complete records from Book1 combined into one single row, and my example Book2 has populated 3 rows only (3 rows x 20 records, making 60 records now appear on 3 rows only).
Macro for getting Book1 to Book2? 11,000 records in Book1 will take a lot of hours to transform into Book2 unless a macro can do the job for me.

Book2.xls
I have sales rep data with column headings as Sales Rep, Sales Date, Sales Item Code and Customer ID. There are only 2 sales reps in the data, I'll call them Rep A and Rep B. I need to extract rows where Rep A and Rep B have made sales on the same day to the same customer (it doesn't matter what type of sales). I don't want to extract sales by only one rep, it must be both reps on the same day to the same customer. I have tried a pivot table but it identifies all sales. Can this be done?

I have a workbook containing data about some students grade on different sheets (4). The structure is almost the same on every sheet:
The first 2 row contain headers the each row contains a name and result for different test:
name - test A - test B - ...etc.
Peter - 90 - 60 -....etc.
there are 25 columns on each sheet - 4 sheets in all.
What I want is, to consolidate each students results in a separate workbook.
I need to use a macro to import data from an unknown # of order files to my master spreadsheet. My master spreadsheet & my order files contain a unique po number that can be used to find matching records. When the macro is ran & a match is found it needs to import the all data that to the master spreadsheet & updated the "processed" column for the record found. Also, all the lines in the unprocessed order files should be matched up. If a record is not matched, a warning needs to be displayed. If the record has already been processed, it just needs to be skipped. Attached is an example master spreadsheet & an example unprocessed orders spreadsheet. If at all possible, please split the unprocessed orders into separate files when testing the final product. The part that I will struggle with the most is looping thru separate files.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an excel spreadsheet that should have one record for each artifact in a museum collection. The problem is that the museum has consolidated this information from several different sources into one spreadsheet and now there are many duplicate records. They want all the duplicate records removed so that there is just one record for each artifact, BUT there may be different pieces of information in each of the duplicate records. So I want to do the following:
- sort records based on Accession Number (column A)
- find duplicate Accession Number records
- determine which fields (columns) within a duplicate record are unique and concatenate those entries into one master record for each Accession Number
- delete the duplicate Accession Number records
In the attached sample sheet, for Accession Number 66-1-100, we have 6 duplicate records. In the columns, we have information which in some of the records is duplicated, in some it is unique and in some it is missing completely. The museum wants just one master record for each Accession Number and they want all the data from the duplicate records concatenated into one and all the duplicates and blanks discarded.

I am trying to rank records from multiple sections of a single array. Since there are over 100 sections I want to use a formula. Using the MATCH function I have the first row for each section of the array (Col D below). The psuedo code of what I'm trying to do is:
RANK(B1,Bfirst row of section:Bfirst row of next section -1)
Example (results in Column C):
A B C D
1 West 100 3 1
2 West 150 1 4
3 West 125 2
4 East 50 3
5 East 75 2
5 East 140 1
I will also need to increment the section as I complete each section of the array. Am I trying to do too much in a single cell??
I have a questions regarding extracting records using a partial text search in multiple columns.
I would like to do a partial text search of the letter "j" in the Name column, and search for the number "1" in the Phone column and extract the corresponding records.
The formula I have been using is as follows: =IF(ROWS(C$2:C2)>$B$2,"",INDEX(C$2:C$6,SMALL(IF(AND(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("J",$K$25:$K$29)),
ISNUMBER(SEARCH("1",$L$25:$L$29))),ROW($J$25:$J$29)-ROW($J$25)+1),ROWS(C$2:C2))))
However, the formula is not working correctly.

I have several thousand records by row each with a unique numerical identifier. The unique identifier is the "Household". Within the household there are sub "Accounts". The sub accounts are truely unique. All the "Accounts" are in the same column.
What I am trying to do is combine the records into one row per "Household" with the accounts listed in successive columns. The maximum number of accounts there may be is 7 but it can be as few as 1. Example:

I have a set of related variables that are split over multiple worksheets, and I need to be able to take specific information, duplicate certain values and produce an output sheet for use in a separate piece of software.
The variables are:
Position Number (Sheet 1)
Position Title (Sheets 1 and 2)
Position Requirement (Sheet 2)
Requirement Importance (Sheet 2)
The output sheet requires a list of all the requirements for each position number, which means the position number itself needs duplicating (in new rows) X number of times, where X is the number of requirements assigned. The appropriate requirements are then to be pasted in next to each position number (and the requirements can be found by comparing position number to title, and from title to requirements).
Normally, I’d be able to do this using lookups and so forth, but my problem arises when I have multiple position numbers with the same related title (in the attached example, there are three plumbers with unique position numbers). I can’t figure out how to say to Excel “a plumber has five requirements, and there are three plumbers, so duplicate each position number for each plumber five times, then insert the appropriate qualifications (and their associated importance values) next to the position numbers”.
I have 1 workbook, with 3 sheets. Sheet1 (EVER) has 3000+ rows and 12 columns of customer information. This sheet is for all customers who have ever placed an order. Sheet2 (06-07) has 1500+ rows and 12 columns of customer information. This sheet has all customers who have placed an order in the last 2 years. Sheet3 has 1 row, which consists of the column titles (12 columns) that are on Sheet1 and Sheet2.
I need to put all customers that are on Sheet1, but not on Sheet2 in Sheet3. I have tried VLookup; advanced Filter and a number of codes in the last 3 days and have not been able to figure this out.

Owner #5

I would like to create a formula in Col G that does the following:If any of the values in columns B to F equals OK, then OKIf any of the values in columns B to F equals KO, then KO I've been tinkering with multiple IFs and quite rightly got bogged down as too many criteria to take into account...
example of a database user form that will allow me to list records in a sheet as well as search for records in a sheet. I know excel has a built in feature for this but it is menu driven and I need something that is button driven and will allow me to resize the form layout. I was not able to figure out how to do that with the built in form.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is a sample of the data with which I am working. I know that a macro can do what I need, but I am only versed in Excel formulas and not that much programming. I need to be able to first sort the data by Column C ("Element Type"), then by Columns E, F, G ("Year", "Month", "Day"). Then, I need to be able to copy all rows that have the same "Element Type" and "Year" to a new file, using the same header from the original spreadsheet on each new spreadsheet - doing this multiple times until the end of the file is reached.
Ideally, the new files would have a strict naming convention: XXXXXX-ZZZZ (YYYY).xls, where the X's are the value of the "COOP Station ID" in Column A, the Z's are the "Element Type" from Column C, and the Y's are the "Year" from Column E. If this theoretical macro were run with the Sample Data file I provided, it should result in the creation of five new workbooks. Is there a way to write a macro to do this, or at least something similar
