Extract Certain Records Based From List Based On Date

Oct 9, 2007

In sheet1 I have the following

1. Names (Column A)
2. Date (Column B)

My current list if from A2:B300

I am trying to have a piece of code go through all the records in this list, if any of the dates are within the next 2 weeks (from now()) then copy this record (name, date) and put in sheet2. And loop through all 300 records or possibly additional records.

Find Duplicate Records Based On Multiple Columns But Keep Records

Aug 10, 2014

I have a range of columns i.e. 23 columns (i.e. B through X). Someone can write records in these columns (starting from B21).

Duplicates are considered the rows with similar data in columns 3 and 11. I know about the removeduplicate method and works really well but i want the duplicates not to be removed. Instead another column shall be checked for date of entry (user will entry date in format dd/mm/yyyy). The newest entry will change the value of the cell in column 4 (islatest column)to TRUE while all other records will be FALSE. This will work with the filtering of data on a pivot table on another worksheet.

Extract Unique Records From Table?

Feb 13, 2014

I am trying to populate a tab with all the unique values from a data table. For example, list all the SKUs, SKU Names, Buying Groups, etc. for "Owl Filled Candles" on the "COLLECTION - SKU" tab. For reference, the "VENDOR - SKU" tab works perfectly. I want the COLLECTION tab to do the same thing as the VENDOR tab. The only difference is the VENDOR-SKU tab is pulling data based on a Vendor's name in a drop-down list in B3 and the COLLECTION tab is pulling data based on the Collection name in a drop-down list in B3.

I tried to just copy the tab and reset the reference cells but that isn't working.

Userform Database: List Records In A Sheet As Well As Search For Records In A Sheet

I know excel has a built in feature for this but it is menu driven and I need something that is button driven and will allow me to resize the form layout. Extract Unique Records Based On 1 Column

Aug 27, 2007

I have a single excel data sheet with 10 rows of header information and then multiple rows and columns of data

I need to extract the 10 rows of header data plus the rows for each unique record in Col A into its own separate worksheet, with the work sheet name being the unique record from Col A

To further add to the challenge, the data in col A may have "/" in so will not comply with excel sheet naming convention so would like an error message to remind me to manually change a sheet name.

I attach an dummy data sheet just to show what I mean!

Extract Records Based On Single Condition

Jun 21, 2008

I am working on a data mining project and need to extract records based on a single condition. In the attached workbook you will see 5 columns – 4 Inputs and 1 Output. I need to automatically copy and paste on a separate sheet those records in which the Output value is greater than 970. A Record includes the values of all 4 inputs and the corresponding output value. I did this by hand for this subset of data but the actual number of record is extremely large so I need a macro which will do this for me automatically.

I cannot use VBA, Advanced Filter or a Helper column, but I could use one additional cell to hold a count, so, the solution can only be a formula.

Find All The Records That Appear In My List More Than Five Times Then Make A List

Jul 31, 2008

I have a list of 200,000 e-mail addresses in a excel document in column A. What i am trying todo is find all the duplicate e-mail addresses within the list that appears more than four times.

I have tried this forumla in colunm B so it lists how many times the record appears: =countif($A$2:$A$244270,A2) which works fine and then a number appears next to each record. Then i pressed the sort filter to arrange all the records in number order so all the 5's are at the top of the worksheet but that does'nt always list them in the correct number order.

Basically all i want todo is find all the records that appear in my list more than five times then make a list of just one of those 5 records so i can remove them from my e-mail system.

VLookup - Single Value Lookup Returning Multiple Records Into Multiple Columns

Certification and Training tracking.xlsx

I want to create a certification only list on a separate tab of training that has been completed where a certification has been issued (as indicated by a "Y" in the "Certification?" column on the training tracking tab) and then populate from some of the fields vs. all of the fields.

What I have now, only pulls the first occurence, not all occurences. I saw that I could have identified the multiple columns that needed to be populated, but it didn't work either, so I'm fine putting a separate vlookup in each column.

Copy Certain Records From Long List Into New Sheet

I need to create a new sheet, and pull all the rows (14 columns each) from another sheet in the document that meet a certain criteria. Fortunately, that criteria is all in one column; unfortunately, out of about 30 different entries in that column, I need it to pull 7 of them, 4 of them have been input 2 or 3 different ways.

I know I can go through the list of 900+ by hand and copy the rows, but there has to be an easier way right? Here is the list of all the spellings of the ones I need to pull..

Dropdown Menu To Pick Records Out Of List?

Dec 16, 2013

Is it possible on Excel to make a drop down menu which picks records out of a list?

I've a big spreadsheet. Thousands of records. About 100 responsible are listed responsible for them. I've highlighted stuff for them to fix, I'll be emailing it out to them, and they'll need to isolate the dozens of records they are each responsible for.

They are, erm, technologically challenged. I want to keep it simple, put one menu on the screen and say

'Pick your name from the list.'

George W picks himself, and then it lists his records but not anybody else's.

Can Excel do that? (Rather, probably, but where do I start?)

VBA Code: Select Records From Drop Down List

Aug 9, 2007

I have a spreadsheet that contains multiple rows per user. I need a combo or list box that pops up asking them to select their name from the drop down list. The list would be based on column A and would only include their name once.

When they select their name, the macro would then open the Form option from the Data menu, the Criteria button would be pushed and their name entered into the form, to return the first record their name appears on, then they could forward through the records, and update using the Next record button.

Return Maximum Value Among Multiple Records With Same Key Using VBA

Mar 1, 2013

I am writing a VBA function that will search for a value in a column(say column B) in a table. This column can have duplicates. So my search needs to get all the records that match the value (including duplicates) and from these records i need to return only one value among records fetched that has maximum in another column in the same sheet(say column D).

Eg :

sno dept name marks r1 cs sush 55 r2 ece ram 68 r3 cs harish 77 r

So if i give "cs" value to search it must give me 77 as output. I tried to write my own Lookup function but isn't working and getting #value.

VBA To Rearrange 11000 Records Into 550 Rows (20 Records Combined Into Single Row)

Book2 has 20 complete records from Book1 combined into one single row, and my example Book2 has populated 3 rows only (3 rows x 20 records, making 60 records now appear on 3 rows only).

Macro for getting Book1 to Book2? 11,000 records in Book1 will take a lot of hours to transform into Book2 unless a macro can do the job for me.
