I need to append this macro to find the next empty column to place the data in. The orignal VBA works fine, but I need to go into the editor, and repalce the offset number every time I add a new row (weekly).
I have to copy and paste some datas under anothers but I don't know the code to do so; I mean, the code to paste on the first empty cell under the previously used cell.
I want to use VBA to find the first empty cell in a colum. But I want VBA to start look for this empty cell after cell B10 and not from the top of the colum. I also want that the VBA stop looking after cell B20. The last part I already have (see below) but I don't know how to have VBA to start the search in cell B10 and not in the top.
I am trying to write a macro that looks for the first empty cell in column G, Then once that cell if found, assigns that row to be the row that other data is copied and pasted to. My code currently just finds the first empty cell in each column and copies and pastes the data and am not sure how to get it to what i need it to do.
Code: Sub seconddatatransfer() Dim wb1 As Workbook, wb2 As Workbook, sh1 As Worksheet, sh2 As Worksheet Set wb1 = Workbooks("filestransfer.xlsm") 'Edit file extension Set wb2 = Workbooks("KBCG.xlsm") 'Edit file extension Set sh1 = wb1.ActiveSheet Set sh2 = wb2.Sheets("Tracking Sheet") sh2.Cells(Rows.Count, 2).End(xlUp)(2).Value = sh1.Range("B6").Value 'left
I was wondering whether someone knows a formula that would be equivalent to WEEKNUM (excel 2003) since I will not be able to install the Analysis Toolpack because of IT validation issues?
Sheet1 contain daily input table which as follows: Name salaryBonusXX10002XY9001YY11002ZY15003ZZ12502AA10502AZ9501
Sheet2 have table where all the information is saved. So we can say this is database of sheet1. Which store every day information of sheet 1.
SALARY DATABASEMonth Name Salary Bonus
Problem:
I want that when I finished writing on the sheet 1(which i do manually) then with macro it go the sheet 2 and find first empty cell in the name column and past the all the data of sheet1 table. Months I will put manually. I am working on MS2003.
I can put the Data in F21, but then I need to skip a cell and put the next Data in H21 and so on, the cells are in yellow that I need to string out the data in. so every time I open the form the data skips a cell.
I am using the following code to find an emtyRow, but I actually need to find an emptyRow and test all the cells of the rows from A thru O to insure that there is nothing in any of the next emptyRow. How would I change the code?
VB: Private Sub SubmitButton_Click() Dim emptyrow As Long
I am using the code below to copy data from a sheet that updates externally to copy to a database. For some reason it has quit finding the next empty row to paste data. It is currently over writing the data to row 61. any help advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated, I am an armature if there is a better way please let me know.
I have a userform that has Label 1, textbox1 and textbox2 at the top. (I shall call it HEADER)
Then, arranged in a row i have combobox1, textbox4, textbox6, textbox7 and label7 (I shall call LINE1)
On a row beneath this i have combobox2, textbox12, textbox14, textbox15 and label 10 (I shall call LINE2)
I need a way of finding the first empty row on sheet 1 (easy bit) and then putting the info from the HEADER and LINE1 in the first empty row, then HEADER and LINE2 in the next empty row etc etc. There are 5 rows in total
Is this possible using code: Copy Cell A1 and Paste in first empty Cell down Column D. This would be connected to a command button. Both Cell A1 and Column D are on the same spreadsheet.
I putting together a spreadsheet that applies Payments (as they come in) against the oldest open invoice. As payments come in, old invoices are closed out. An aging is done and late fees are applied.
I have made a macro that inputs all of the information of the invoice in a list. However, when a payment comes in, I am trying to write a macro that:
1) in column G - Finds the first non-zero balance 2) Applies the payment amount to that open invoice. If there is additional funds left over after the satisfaction of that invoice, I would like the payment to be applied to the next open invoice until all the funds of the payment have been drained.
I am having so much trouble trying to even just locate the first nonzero balance and select it.
I have the following code. Is there any way to select a range once the last cell with data is found. I would like to be able to select whatever cell in column A is selected with the code below through E2.
I have written several pieces of VBA code which produce a sequence of tables on a single worksheet (with the rather original title "Tables"). The code often adds tables to the end of the current set of tables, and to do this, I need to know where the next available space is.
I have a solution which I have been using for ages now, which checks each cell in an appropriate column until a sequence of 3 blank cells has been found as I can guarentee that the tables are at most 2 cells apart. It then sets i=i-3 to give me the location of the first empty cell.
Blankcount = 0 i = 3 While Blankcount < 3 If Cells(i, 3) = "" Then Blankcount = Blankcount + 1 Else Blankcount = 0 End If i = i + 1 Wend i = i - 3
I want to hide the row when value "x" is entered in column C
I tried this code in the sheet, but nothing happens.......
VB: Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range) If Target.Column = 3 Then ThisRow = Target.Row If Not Target.Value = "" Then ThisRow.EntireRow.Hidden = True End If End If End Sub
So when a "x" is entered in cell (115,C), row 115 must be hidden. When a "x" is entered in cell((9,C) row 9 must be hidden to, and so on. When a cell in an other column is changed, the macro does not need to start.
I need the code to paste my selection in worksheet SORT, into the first available cell in column A. Intention is not to overwrite existing values in column A.
I have a column of data that I need to add sum total whenever there is a break in data. The row will vary on a daily basic so a set autosum will not work if I am summing 4 numbers today and 5 tomorrow.
This is what I have: the header titled Sizing is in cell C1 and the remaining data is below that, where I show a space below that is where I have an empty cell.
Column C
1 SIZING
2 320
[Code] ......
What I need is code to sum where there is a blank cell.
I need a macro to do something very easy. I have blocks of data in an excel worksheet separated by one column. The First block begins in column B and ends in col G. Next block begins in column H and ends in L.
I'd like to copy the value from the first cell in the start of each block (b1) and paste it in the left column seperating each block (left empty column - a1) all the way down to where the data in that block ends (b60), and do this for the next column. So in the above exmaple it would populate column A (range a1:a60) with the value from cell B1.
The number of columns is the same but the number of rows vary. The value to be copied is always in the first row and first colunm of where a data block begins - so in the case above - b1, h1 etc.
I am running this macro or some variation of it, depending on the column I need the time entered into:
Sub MacroD() Dim LR As Long LR = Range("D" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row ActiveSheet.Unprotect Range("D18:D" & LR).Value = Now ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select UserForm1.ListBox1.Text = "Time" UserForm1.ListBox1.SetFocus ' UserForm1.Show End Sub
When I need to run the same macro again (say I've run Macro D once, and now I need to run it again to get the next time), the forumla overrides the previous timestamp. I need the macro to find the next empty cell in column D and enter the timestamp there.
