Pivot Table To Refresh And Source Data To Change Using Visible Rows On Filtered Sheet
Feb 26, 2014I have 5 pivot tables on 5sheets, all looking at the same source data in sheet 6
On the source data there is a filter on the headers, if you change the filter, is it possible for all 5 pivot tables to update according to the filter?
My starting point is the below, but there probably is a better way but i would want the sourcedata to equal visible rows on the source data sheet headers run A:K and up to row 10000 .

Nov 26, 2008I would like to ask if it is possible to sort a range of row? What I mean is, if I sort like Row 1, the entire block of row 1 will move as well? Like if i have column A to F, then row 1 of column A to F will move together at the same time.

Aug 15, 2014I'm attempting to get a column of due dates to update automatically every time a date changes. The due dates are in B3:B15. There is a header in B3. The day after the actual due date, it is automatically changed to the same day on the next month (showing the next due date). I need the spread sheet to automatically sort the due dates from the closest due at the top, to the furthest due date from today at the bottom. Running it manually, or sorting it manually every time won't work. This is for an elderly couple who are having problems keeping track of everything each month. I just need something that will show them the upcoming bills and how soon they are due when they open the workbook. Anything other than opening the workbook is going to be too complicated. I'm new to macros. I've tried to modify some I've found in other threads, but no luck (lots of error messages). I don't understand it enough yet to figure out what I need to change. I've attached a sample sheet that shows the part of the workbook I'm having trouble with.

1) I want to make a drop down box with 3 differnent sort orders options in it.
- Sort by date
- Sort by Customer
- Sort by priority level
Once they select a view, it will then sort the rows to that view.
2) I want to do a filter box, so if I type a cutomers name, it will filter to only show the rows related ot that customer.

Dec 1, 2013In the first picture the Pivot Table is showing the profit of each city in 2010 and 2012. Where I used Sort & Filter Largest to smallest, in order to display the cities with greatest profit.

But when I switch the values to `% of` year (Previous). I get the change from 2010 to 2012 in percentage. But my PROBLEM is when I want to Sort & Filter from Largest to Smallest, cause I want to show the cities that have had the greatest percentage change from 2010 to 2012. But the I only get the same cities, and when I look at ex. 'Gjovik' is has had a 125 % in change and should be in the top.
So how am I able to Sort & Filter from Largest to Smallest the cities with greatest change in percentage?
Custom Sort Change Month Order
Jul 10, 2014Is it possible to do a custom sort on a column so that I can change the order the way the months are sorted. The order I'm looking for is:
October
November
December
January
February
March
April
May
June
July
August
September
Also the format for the cells in that column is 01-Jan, I don't want to see the year because I enter and sort the date as if the year doesn't matter so it automatically registers as 2014, if that makes sense. Basically I want that order of the months regardless of the year.

1.- Sort the data (Rows) between PROY an PPTO (PROY and PPTO values NOT included) in and ascending order (Based on column "Varia" value).

2.- Once that is done, and I don´t know if this is posible, I need to colour the scaterred columns (only the ones in the middle of the chart - one, two , three, four-, not PROY and PPTO) in the chart according to their value (Red if negative and green if positive).

Column "H" formula was no problem but I'm stuck with the "G" formulas as you can see in cells G5 and G7. I found it difficult to handle two different names with the same points. What would be the correct formula for column "G" ?

Aug 28, 2006am working on a spreadsheet that requires sorting a list of names and numbers. The numbers have a sum formula attached. I can set up the macro to sort the list fine by selecting the appropriate cells and creating the macro.
The code for this is below

Mar 1, 2008Saw quite a few threads on auto sorting but nothing that solves my problem: Sheet 1 has two columns, column A has names and column B has numbers. These numbers are manually entered, and there are duplicate values.
Sheet 2 has to present the same names and numbers in ascending sort order. I cannot use macros due to security restrictions. I can accomplish it using a combination of functions LARGE and INDEX, if the values are not duplicated. But that technique fails when there are duplicate values.
In other words, Sheet 1 has:
NAME VALUE
Bob 5
Joe 2
John 5
Sue 3
and Sheet 2 should auto sort these values and give us:
NAME VALUE
Joe 2
Sue 3
John 5
Bob 5

Is there any way that sort Row Label automatically instead of manually OR any other faster way than doing manually?
Sort Table (Names And Values) From Cell
Jun 7, 2014I am keeping a spreadsheet for an auction
We have 20 people and each person gets a total bid for 48 items.
if person1 = 55,person2 = 100,person3 = 76,person4 = 67,person5 = 49 etc.
The person's names will be in column C while values in D in cell G3 will hold the total bid for the items each week updating.
What I am trying to do is sort the table (names & values) from cell G3.
So if each week G3 total gets bigger then the table sorts to match.
If the overall total bid after 48 weeks (G3) was 52 then the table sorts with 55 on top (because it's closer) 49 next.
The closer the person's bid to the total bid the further up the table the person will be.
