Say value in A2 and A3 is 4.5 and 5 respectively
and the value in A1 is and 1 respectively
B2 and B3 have zeros.
Case 1 :
Now I would like to have value A1 in C2:AZ2 till the value in A2 gets exhausted.
Hence C2 = 1, D2 = 1, E2 = 1, F2 = 1, G2 = 0.5, H2 = 0, I2 = 0 ... and so on
Case 2 :
Values in C3:AZ4 should be A1 till A3 gets exhausted. But the constraint is the values in the above range should start from/next cell when we left CASE1
Hence C3 = 0, D3 = 0, E3 = 0, F3 = 0, G3 = 0.5, H3 = 1, I3 = 1, J3 = 1, K3 = 1, L3 = 0.5 ...
I am using the below formula -
For CASE-1 : C2 is
=IF($A$2>0,IF(SUM($B$2:B2)$A$2,$A$1,0),0)
D2 is
=IF($A$2>0,IF(SUM($B$2:C2)$A$2,$A$1,0),0)
and so on...
But this works only if the numbers are whole numbers, I tried a lot but I could not get a formula which works with integers. The above formula will fail if the number is say 4.5 -having decimal part.
For CASE-2 : C3 is =IF($A$3>0,IF(COUNTIF(C$2,1)>0,0,IF(SUM($B$3:B3)$A$3,$A$1,0)),0)
D3 is
=IF($A$3>0,IF(COUNTIF(D$2,1)>0,0,IF(SUM($B$3:C3)$A$3,$A$1,0)),0)
When the numbers in A2 and A3 are decimals and not the whole numbers.
I am wondering if it is possible to create a formula in a cell that will divide whatever number is entered into that cell by a set or fixed number.
ie. I enter the number 9 in the cell and when I press enter, the 9 is instantly divided by 15 and the answer is displayed in the cell where I just typed the 9.
I having a bit of trouble entering numbers in Excel, every time I try to enter a number it seems to divide it by 100. For example : - 1 entered in to a cell becomes 0.01, 100 becomes 1....etc. I've tried formatting the cells and had no luck, tried Tool>Options but not sure where to look.

I have a simple formula that adds two numbers and divide the result by another number
K1: SUM(E1,F1) / H1
K2: SUM(E2,F2) / H2
K3: SUM(E3,F3) / H3

and then I average the results
AVERAGE(K1:K5)
etc, etc
When H1, H2, H3, etc is 0, it generates a #DIV/0! (since you cannot divide by 0)
I want a formula that I everytime a H1, H2, H3, etc is 0, I want to set it to a specific number H1, H2, H3, etc to 15.00
For example:
IF (H1 = 0, 15.00, sum(E1,F1) / H1)
If the number provided (H1) is 0, set it to 15.00, otherwise add the two numbers (E1, F1), and divide this result by the number provided (H1)
But this is where the problem is:
In every single cell that I have NOT yet provided information, it treats the BLANK cells as if it was 0, and has set every single cell to 15.00.

1. Enter the number of jobs received
2. Divide it by the staff available without ending up with decimals.
As an example. Say I have 60 jobs to be allocated and there are 13 peeps to distribute them to I'm currently getting 4.62. I have 4 columns labelled 1st Year, Frequency, Spread and cost. then I have columns spanning upto 30 they represent years but can be labelled as 1 to 30. My challenge is that I want a formula/function/macro that depending on what I type in the first 4 columns it will populate the remaining 30 columns with either cost or 0.
Example: if I had £9,000 at a frequency of 10, starting on the 5th year with a spread of 3.
The cost represents the cost of each frequent. so in the example I would get £3,000 on each of the 5th,6th and 7th years then another £3,000 on the 15th,16th,17th years and finally another £3,000 on the 25th, 26th and 27th years.
what I want to be able to do is have one function/formula that I can paste across all of the year cells. I currently have a formula that can copy the cost at different frequencies but I cant figure the spread out.

I have a 52 (one for each week) page workbook. I am trying to average cell J9 for the entire 52 pages. However the information is not added to the cell until the end of the week so week 30-52 all have 0s and should not be counted in the dividing number. Is there a way to have Excel count the number of cells that have a number (not 0) and divide the sum of the cells but that number.

I am trying to write a formula that will search an array for a particular number that I type in, and return a "Warning" if the number is within the array, or an "OK" if the number is not yet used. It is to do with allocating batch numbers to Raw Materials and avoiding using duplicate numbers.

The list at the left is the data (A1:F1900) in the middle the table (is like a parking lot - place number), and in the right is the swap results, I mean if I put the table in front of the list, and want to know what place number 2 was before, I can see was in the position 7 in the table, next #6 was in 8 and so on, see the example:

when I go to swap the second line I mean 2-6-11-18-etc. the table has to move one cell down like this.

and for the next number, the same thing, the tabe go down one place and according from the new position swap the numbers.
The position talbe is on H:M from 1 to 500, I don't write H1:M500 because remember this table go down one row every time, and the results in O:T; well at least I don't find another way to explain.

I need to create formulas to find a certian number.
Example:
A2 would have the value 2
If $A$2(value 2) is in Rw1 or Clm1 or Blk1 then "" if not $A$2
1. In column A i have a list from 1-12 (months in a year)
2. In column B i have the formula that references the corresponding cell in column A in the same row i.e. B1 "=(A1={1;3;5;7;8;10;12})"
Problem: This formula works only when the value in column A equals "1"...i need it to work when it equals any of the identified numbers in the set.

I'm working on building a workbook to track sales progress, and I'd like to perform an analysis on some of the data with regards to sales efficiency.
To simplify:
Column A = Initial Contact Date (mm/dd/yyyy)
Column B = Close Date (mm/dd/yyyy)
As an example, I would like to calculate the average number of days between the Initial Contact Date and the Close Date to calculate the average number of days in the prospecting cycle. Basically, the formula should function as AVERAGE((B1-A1)+(B2-A2)+(B3-A3)...) and so on for the entire column.
I know one solution would be to insert a new column that performs the subtraction between the two dates, and then I could AVERAGE this new column. However, I want to perform similar calculations to analyze the time period between other key milestones in the prospecting cycle - rather than have a lot of extra columns in my sheet, I was wondering if there's some type of array formula that will calculate what I need.
Cell P14 = 4.7
My array is H42:N72, in H42:H72 I have numbers 15,14,13....0,-1,-2,-3, etc...
In N42:N72 there is a corresponding $ amount that I would like to return based on finding the value which is greater than 4.7 (so, looking to match the $$ amount to the number 5 in column H42:H72)
I've tried using INDEX MATCH but can't figure this out.
