Moving Entire Row To Another Sheet When Column Shows Closed Value

As I am at work, it does not allow me to upload the file due to restrictions on uploading. However, the spreadsheet is fairly simple so should be able to describe it.
The main sheet is called "Investigation Court Apps". An entry is made into each row and the status shows as "Open" in Column A, until a final closure date is input in Column Z, at which point the entry in Column A changes to "Closed". This is achieved with the following IF statement in Column A.
=IF(B3="","",IF(ISNUMBER($Z3),"Closed","Open"))
So that part is all automated. What I need is some VBA coding or macro (might be same thing but completely new to all this) that when the value in Column A changes to "Closed" the whole row moves over to "Sheet3". Once the row has been moved over, I want to ensure there are no blank rows also.
I have tried the following amongst others:

I have an excel work book with 6 tabs. I would like to have Excel move an entire row from one tab to another tab (removing the row and inserting it in the other tab). I.e. Example I have a tab with items that are marked as "Open Actions" so if I were to change the drop down to close. Excel would move that entire row of actions to the tab with the "closed actions" and insert into the next available row. Now if someone were to come back at a later date say no it should be reopened than I would change the drop down to open and excel would move that row back to the open actions tab into next available row. I tried a PIVOT table and no good I played with few macro and not.

I am using this formula in Product Balance Update.xls,Tsuchiura worksheet that update data from A-Tsuchiura.xls, INVOICE worksheet.
When both workbooks are is opened, all linking are fine.
But upon A-Tsuchiura.xls is closed, my linking in Product Balance Update.xls,Tsuchiura worksheet will shows #N/A.
I had tried many ways for sumproduct
1) =SUMPRODUCT(--('\SomfactoryDistributionShipment[A-Tsuchiura.xls]INVOICE'!$B$14:$B$97=A3),--('\SomfactoryDistributionShipment[A-Tsuchiura.xls]INVOICE'!$G$14:$G$97))
2) =SUMPRODUCT(('\SomfactoryDistributionShipment[A-Tsuchiura.xls]INVOICE'!$B$14:$B$97=A3)*('\SomfactoryDistributionShipment[A-Tsuchiura.xls]INVOICE'!$G$14:$G$97))
I had read through this forum that sumproduct should work in closed workbook but I still cant get it why this error ocurr..

I am linking two worksheets together. Formulas work fine except when I close the source sheet, it turnes into #REF error. I saw in one of the posts that you can not use INDIRECT formula on closed workbooks (INDIRECT is a part of the formula in my sheet) and downloaded the changingExternal. zip file as directed. Although, after staring at it for a while, I realized that I had no idea as to what was going on in there.

I am working with two files, both files have multiple worksheets. File A has a worksheet that is filled out almost entirely by equations. I need to move the information from that worksheet into file B. In file B i will process the information further. Also, I will print it and it has to look exactly the way it does in file A. I want all this to happen automatically so I am looking for some sort of function or script that will perform this task.

I have a userform where I have 2 comboboxes. The first combobox shows the the first column (only 1 of each) and the second comboBox shows me the secondary list that correlates to the valuse in the first from column B. Now I have a text box that I am trying to get the value from column C depending on what I have in the first 2 comboboxes. What is the easiest way to do it? This is all in VB since it is a UserForm, and using Vlookup seems to be too many lines if I go that route. Is there a way to use Index and Match in VB where it would be more efficient? I attached just a sample of how the data would be layed out in the Excel sheet.

Basically Column O has data that need to be moved to the different worksheet in one workbook.
so If Column O=Bad Number in any row in Column O move to sheet1 or If Column O=Good Number in any row in Column O move to sheet 2 etc.

I have a sheet with Customer name in the first column and next 7 columns have unique serial numbers(alphanumeric) of the systems which that customer has purchased. In another sheet, i have the unique serial number in first column and I want to search this number in the 7 columns of other sheet and return the "Customer name" to this sheet. How do I do that ?
Vlookup searches only in 1 columns, so does match index. lookup didn't work as well.

I am trying to copy the entire row based on values in column A. I have 13237 rows of data. Column A is grouped into about 200 categories with corresponding data in B-F. I would like this to automatically copy the data into new tabs based on the groups in column A. I would also like the tab to be renamed to the value in column A.

i need a macro that will allow an entire row from one sheet be copied into a new sheet.
so basically here is what needs to be done:
1. from my active sheet, look in Column 'D', select all rows in in column D if it has the word "Confirmed" in it
2. create a new sheet and paste all those selected rows to this sheet
3. delete this transfered data from sheet 1
4. in the new sheet, i need to add in titles as follows in columns A - O:

I am trying to find a way to copy the contents of an entire row to a new sheet in a workbook based on the value of a column, specifically column K with the value of "good". There are 3 sheets that im searching. This is where I run into problems. Im looking to start with sheet1, and copy all rows deemed "good" into entries on sheet 4. Then search sheet2 and copy all relevant entries into the next available row on sheet4, and then repeat on sheet3.

Is there a way I can compare sheet 1 Column A, with sheet 2 Column A, and then move any duplicates from sheet 2 over to sheet 3.
For instance,
Employee Numbers that match in both sheet 1 and 2, remove that row from sheet 2 to and insert it into sheet 3.

I am looking for an Excel macro that will Autofilter a worksheet to display all rows with a empty value in one column (e.g. column B) as well as display the entire row above the aforementioned row with a blank cell in column B. I need it to be "reversible" so that I can click the Autofilter button (or advanced filter button) to show all rows again.

How would I go about counting the number of times TA shows within strings of text in a range within a sheet. Example: TA,MH in cell A2, CB,TA in cell C40, ES,TA in cell Q19. Result would be 3. Ideally, I'd like the formula to reference a cell that has TA as the look up data such as in A1 I'd have TA.

I have a sheet that I want to have a double line border around the outside. Thats easy if there were a set number of rows but in my sheet the number of rows will depend on the size of the rows because of the different amount of information in each cell. So how do I make it print a border around the entire sheet no matter how many rows are in the sheet??

I am working on a spreadsheet which has a column which shows square footages (Column AE) and I also have a column which shows costs (Column Y).
What I would like to do is to bracket these footages in to 6 bands (0 - 5000, 5000 - 10000, 10000 - 15000, 15000 - 20000, 20000 - 25000, 25000+) and then average the costs within a particular band.

I want to run vba code when a excel worksheet closes. But I want this code to be used for every worksheet that opens. So the macro or vba code has to be loaded with Excel automaticly. I don't want to reenter the code in every template I use.
In access you can attach a module that runs when access or the application is closed: 'Private sub form_close()' Is it possible to create something like this in Excel.
An explanation what I want to do:
I Open/create a workbook from within access. When the worbook closes I want to look with vba if there is a cell called " Total" and if so I want to open a access databases and submit the total to the database. I don't want access to wait untill the worksheet is closed. If the worksheet stays open for a longer time I want to work on in access with other tasks.

I am running Win XP and Excel 2003.
I have a macro I found here on the boards written by Lenze to delete an entire row based on what is found in column A. I would like to delete any row where Col. B contains 10 or less characters and I have modified it to do so (or at least I think it does). My problem is that it takes about 12 minutes to run the macro (I have about 50k lines to run through). I was wondering if this is the fastest method or if it examines things other than just column B.

After this runs, I am left with Columns A to somewhere around AH. The columns are generally in the format of text followed by a numeric column. An individual text column has the same name through all of the rows. The numeric columns have varied values whether negative or positive.
Ideally what I would like: If a given cell (ie. C2) in Row 2 is numeric, then copy the cell to the left (ie. B2) into (ie. C1) and then delete Column B. I need this to work for multiple columns from B to C, skip D and E, and then from F to AG (and maybe beyond).

I have a pivot that includes customer data and I need to create an average for each row based on the first populated column for each customer. After one month of units appears for the customer, I need to calculate the average going forward, and if there are blanks after that they should be treated as 0 in the average. Below is an example of my description of the pivot.
Jan Feb Mar Apr
Customer #1 1 1 3
Customer #2 1 3
Customer #3 2 2
So, the average for customer #1 would be calculated from Column B to Column E, and factor column D as a 0 in that calculation. Customer 2's average would start in Column C and go to Column E, and factor column E as a 0 in that calculation. Customer 3's average would start in column D to column E.

I have a worksheet (say, Sheet1) that I am going to manually import a large data set into on a weekly basis for reporting purposes. One of the columns from this data dump will have the header "Design Id" in the first row, but it may not be in the same column every time. I am trying to figure out how to create dropdown lists on a separate worksheet (say, Sheet2) in the same workbook where the data source always looks up the column containing the header "Design Id" from Sheet1 and then returns only the unique values from that column as options in the list.

If there is no, then the code must give a warning. Futhermore, which is able to give a warning against the mistake of selecting the file itself.

I have two Excel sheets (test-excel-1.xlsx & test-excel-2.xls)The test-excel-2.xls will never be opened. When I update cells in test-excel-1.xlsx and save, I want them to automatically update to the test-excel-2.xls without having to open it. I have tried the "='[test-excel-1.xlsx]Sheet1'!$G$4" but that needs me to open test-excel-2.xlsI also want original values to be pasted in test-excel-2.xls rather than the code (this is later used in another program).
