Separate Alphanumeric Characters

I need a macro to delete only the alphabets which are entered along with numbers. Ex: 300ML. BY running a macro i need to delete only the "ML" and the number 300 should remain the same.
Range is For Rows: Entire rows
For columns: F TO P
The cell values betwwen these ranges contains alphanumeric such as 20KG,300ML,200M ...etc
Hence i need a macro to delete the alpha charecters for the particular range.

I have alphanumeric characters and I have to rank them. Previously these characters were only digits (Using Rank function) and now some alphabets mixed with them. What is the function to rank Alphanumeric characters? They are like:

Is there a way of extracting all non alphanumeric characters from a single collumn?
After extraction, I just want strings with A to Z letters, 0 to 9 numbers, spaces and hiffens(-). All in lower case.

I am using the Concatenate() function to join strings from A1 and B1.
The result goes into C1.
How do I remove all the punctuation too?
In other words, I want to keep ONLY the upper and lower case alphanumeric characters....

I am trying to remove all characters that aren't letters or numbers from a string. Is there any way to differentiate between a non-alphanumeric characters and alphanumeric characters? I'm thinking of something like "ISTEXT()" that I could use on one character at a time. Or are there any wildcards I could use in the Replace function?

I have a large column of text with multiple entries similar to this: PC3L-10600R-9-11-A0. I need to replace the "11" with a 13. However I have other instances where the 11 appears (PC3-12800E-11-11-D0 or PC3L-12800R-11-11-A0).
I have found that I can use SUBSTITUTION
{=SUBSTITUTE(A50,H50,I50,1) and =SUBSTITUTE(A61,H61,I61,2)}
to handle the specific instances but I'd like to have a way to combine this type of function logically in one command.

I'm trying to sort by a column with one to four digit numbers, any of which may be followed by a single letter, i.e. 1,2,3 4A,5, 10,11A,75,101A,600,705,1010B,1011A.
I'd like them to sort in the above order. I am only able to have excel 2003 sort all of the numeric cells first, followed by the cells with the alpha character.

Having trouble with this one. Searches seem to bring up every other variation of extracting info from strings except this.
I have cells which contain alphanumeric strings as below and, using a formula, I want to extract everything from and including the last letter to give A 2-3, B 3 and C 3-4 in the examples below.

For example the cell contains 1,M2,M7,M1,M8:2,M15,M9,M4,M5:3,M3,M6,M14,M11,M12:4,M10,M13 and I need to create M1, M2 , M3 ..etc columns and attach the coresponding number to each one of them. For instance M2,M7,M1,M8will get 1 and so forth and so on. I was acutally thinking using the Notepad to replace the , with a TAB space and paste them back in to my data set and create some IF statements. On the other hand running VBA scrip would make it even easier. However I would preffer to use a function (that I am not 100% familiar with) and leave the VBA scrip out of the question for the moment.

I need to automatically populate a column with an alphanumeric MFR0001 to MFR9999 and am currently using the formula below to add 1 to the start point (A1)...
A1=MFR0001
Formula in A2 =LEFT(C1,3)&(RIGHT(C1,4)+1)
This works perfectly if I start at MFR1000, but breaks and drops the 000 if I use it on the number I need to start with (MFR0001).

I'm trying to use a formula in conditional formatting to highlight a cell red if the cell contains a 0 but the date shown in another cell has passed. I want to copy the formatting throughout a column but I don't want the cell to highlight if there is no date in the other cell concerned.

I receive an extraction from AutoCAD that lists the electrical devices in a drawing. I don't have any problems extracting the letters. I have a problem extracting the device number and the device number extension.
The device label extraction is similar to this:

I want to create 3 columns from the device label: (I separated the column with commas)

I'm trying to separate text from numbers into two separate cells...
Essentially, I would like the users to copy and paste data into Column A, as seen below. Then, hopefully by formula separate the text characters into Column B and the numbers into Column C.

I have 10 very large workbooks that are all setup in the same format. In column Z is a numerical value from 1 to 83. I have been trying to filter the sheet and then copy one at a time from 1 to 83 but that takes a LONG time especially when there is 10 workbooks to do.
Is there anyway I can run a function or macro or something that would just automatically look down the column Z and put each row into a it's own workbooks?
I have attached a sample of what the workbooks look like right now.

I have a giant data sheet. I have to cherry pick certain data out of the list and send it to certain associates, in a new spreadsheet.
I want to do this automatically.
I can create the macro to select the data I want, and copy it over (values only), but I cannot find out how to do it in a new sheet with a new name that automatically gets generated with a unique filename (probably using the date).
Essentially, I want to copy my data spreadsheet (post-filter) into a new spreadsheet titled X mm-dd (where X is whatever I pick). I then want to delete several rows from it.
Ideally, the macro would do this (I will put a * next to things I can handle the code for, to save work):Filter Data *
Copy Data *
Create a New Spreadsheet named (Person's Name) mm-dd.xls
Paste Data (values, formats, column widths) to the new spreadsheet *
Delete Several Columns from the new spreadsheet *
Rename the sheet it's been pasted to
Re-filter data (new filter) *
Copy Data *
Paste Data (values, formats, column widths) to the same spreadsheet, only Sheet 2 *
Set the header of the spreadsheet with (Person's Name) and the date
Save the new spreadsheet
There will be as few as 1 sheet (in which case I would only want one worksheet in the new excel file), or as many as 4 sheets. I don't need a fancy way to do this, as it will only be done once a week, and I can just make the various cases required to do it even if it isn't pretty, but I can't figure out how to manipulate other files that haven't been created yet...

I need to separate row data from one workbook into separate workbooks based on cell data. Currently I filter the data, copy and paste it to a new workbook and save it. It's a tedious process and was hoping to find a way to automate it. I have attached a sample file. In this instance, I would like a separate workbook for the filtered data in Column 1 and then all the row data gets copied to new workbook. So all of Pennsylvania data would get copied to new workbook, then all of the Michigan data gets copied to a new workbook. I have also attached an example of the end result that I need.

It looks for a numeric value then increments it of +1 based on the value found.
How would I modify this for it to look for an alphanumeric value first (EX.: 0A) then increment it alphabetically (Ex.: if 0A then the result would be 0B) and if the value searched is not alphanumeric it would then revert to the initial bit of code that searches for the numeric value?

I create inventory cards and each needs a unique 4 character sequence number. Currently I have it set up with 4 cards per sheet. If I need to print more than 4 cards, the worksheet will print one sheet of 4, reset itself and increment the sequence number by 4 and continue this cycle until I've printed the number I need.
Currently I have it only using numbers. I start at 1000 and it increments, by 4, up to 9995. Once it reaches 9995 or higher, the increment resets to 1000 and starts over. The problem I am facing is I am now starting to get several cards that have the same "unique" sequence number. What I would like to do is change it from numerical sequencing to alphanumeric sequencing.

I have a few columns of letters (ranging from A to Z) - onyl one letter per cell. I need to be able to deduct them such that they result in a numeric difference (ie D-B=2, D-A=3). Is there any way this can be done in VBA? (The actual columns are in a word table, so would be great if there was a VBA way to do this, not an excel function).

I would like to have a drop down list for cells in a row - say B1:I1.
Firstly, having the list (with only 2 selections) in these cells to place either an "A" or a "0" (zero) in a cell.
Next, if an "A" is added then a selection of a "B" or a "0".
If a "B" is added then a selection of a "C" or a "0". etc etc
If the "0" (zero) is selected and placed in the row then no more alpha but just the next number "2" available to select only then a "3" etc etc.
These would be added from left to right ie: A to H or 1 to 8.
I might be able to do this with a long formula but problem is there are 100's of rows. Maybe VBA would be more efficient?

(1) In an excel i am about to create 1000 rows of records. The first 100 i set the column to display" Job Role 001 - Job Role 100. The formula i applied from row 2 onwards is: ="Job Role " & TEXT(ROW()-1,"000")
(2) Then now i need to repeat this Job Role 001 - Job Role 100 for the next 100 rows. But if i copy these Job Role 001 - Job Role 100 to the next 100 rows it will result in: Job Role 101 - Job Role 200.
Any solution to make it repeat exactly Job Role 001 - Job Role 100 for next 100 rows onwards??
