Separate Letters And Numbers In A String Into Separate Columns

I receive an extraction from AutoCAD that lists the electrical devices in a drawing. I don't have any problems extracting the letters. I have a problem extracting the device number and the device number extension.
The device label extraction is similar to this:
DCM1005-1
DCM1005-10
DCM1005A
MTR1005-1
MTR1005-10
MTR1005A
I want to create 3 columns from the device label: (I separated the column with commas)
A1, B1, C1, D1
DCM1005-1, DCM, 1005, 1
DCM1005-10, DCM, 1005, 10
DCM1005A, DCM, 1005, A
MTR1005-1, MTR, 1005, 1
MTR1005-10, MTR, 1005, 10
MTR1005A, MTR, 1005, A

I am in need of a formula that will separate a string of text. Specifically, I want to pull out the number values (including cents) from the rest of the text. This is how the text reads:
10.00 OVERDRAFT PROTECTION TRANSFER FEE
10.00
56.00 ELECTRONIC/ACH DEBIT
56.00
199.00 ELECTRONIC/ACH DEBIT
199.00
2,017.64 ELECTRONIC/ACH DEBIT

The data to the left is the data I am working with and the I want the results to read similar to the results on the right.

I am working with flight numbers and want to split out the letters from the digits. Examples,

In column A I need the first two or three letters only,

In column B I need everything to the right of what appears in column A

etc.

I've found several posts but none seem to peform this varying function:
EX12345678....Result in Col B: "EX" and Result in Col C: "12345678"
RTZZ4567.......Result in Col B: "RTZZ" and Result in Col C: "4567"
The problem with the formulas I've got specifically define - pulling let's say LEFT, 2 characters.....when, I may need it to pull 2 or 3 or 4. I found something that's smart enough to look for ONLY ALPHA and strip those out and place them into one column. =LEFT(A1,MIN( FIND({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},A1&"0123456789"))-1)
* I need something that's smart enough to look for ONLY NUMERIC. no matter how long the string is...and place those in Column C (like I mention in the example at the top).

I'm trying to separate text from numbers into two separate cells...
Essentially, I would like the users to copy and paste data into Column A, as seen below. Then, hopefully by formula separate the text characters into Column B and the numbers into Column C.

I have a string of data coming from a SQL Server data connection into my workbook. The value in the column is a text string that is pipe delimited. I need a macro to parse the data from that column into applicable separate columns. I would typically use text to columns for this and parse it out manually... but the tool I'm creating is one of the automated variety, so that will not suffice for this application. I need it to do this automatically when the data connection refreshes.

I am trying to do something that is probably impossible, but I figured if anyone could come up with a solution, it would be you folks here at Mr. Excel, so here goes.
I'm trying to set up two columns in Excel 2000; for simplicity sake, let’s just call them Column A and Column B. Each row in Column A will contain a code (a combination of letters and numbers) that represents one of 65 different workstations, and they could repeat multiple times. Each row in Column B will contain a number that represents a specific tool, and there are potentially hundreds of different tool numbers.
What I am trying to accomplish is to have something alert me when any tool number in column B appears alongside more than one workstation code in column A. It would really be nice if something like conditional formatting could be used to change the text to red or something when this happened. I know I can use filtering to accomplish this, but with hundreds of different tool codes, filtering just takes too long.

I have some data that is both text and numbers in the same cell. I would like to split the the data so that the text is in one column and the numbers are in another column.
The numbers are all a fixed length (15 chars) so I know that I can use the following formula = RIGHT(A1,15)
However I am not quite sure how to split the text as the length can vary as as well as the number of words in the string.
For example A1 is 1 word with 7 characters but A2 is 2 words, 14 characters long inc space.

I have thousands of lines of data that are of the following form:
Jackson, TN 9623 BCBS TN 98 UnitedHlthCare 2
Jacksonville, FL 3577 Aetna 47 BCBS FL 37
Knoxville, TN 3796 Cariten 44 John Deere 41
Lakeland-Winter Haven, FL 2165 UnitedHlthCare 31 Aetna 29
I need to separate these lines into columns such that, for example, the first line would be in 6 columns: (Jackson, TN) (9623) (BCBS TN) (98) (UnitedHlthCare) (2)
The delimiter does not work because some of there is no one character that always separates the text and the numbers. I've tried going through in word and typing something like '%' where I want to separate, but with thousands of lines of data that is extremely tedious.
Is there any formula I can use that would be capable of solving this?

i have a list of 2000 fields which have the same format IE "AB10014"
I need to remove the "AB" from every field and leave the #.
Besides putting a space and running text to columns I'm not sure how.

I'm trying to use a formula in conditional formatting to highlight a cell red if the cell contains a 0 but the date shown in another cell has passed. I want to copy the formatting throughout a column but I don't want the cell to highlight if there is no date in the other cell concerned.

I have 10 very large workbooks that are all setup in the same format. In column Z is a numerical value from 1 to 83. I have been trying to filter the sheet and then copy one at a time from 1 to 83 but that takes a LONG time especially when there is 10 workbooks to do.
Is there anyway I can run a function or macro or something that would just automatically look down the column Z and put each row into a it's own workbooks?
I have attached a sample of what the workbooks look like right now.

I have a giant data sheet. I have to cherry pick certain data out of the list and send it to certain associates, in a new spreadsheet.
I want to do this automatically.
I can create the macro to select the data I want, and copy it over (values only), but I cannot find out how to do it in a new sheet with a new name that automatically gets generated with a unique filename (probably using the date).
Essentially, I want to copy my data spreadsheet (post-filter) into a new spreadsheet titled X mm-dd (where X is whatever I pick). I then want to delete several rows from it.
Ideally, the macro would do this (I will put a * next to things I can handle the code for, to save work):Filter Data *
Copy Data *
Create a New Spreadsheet named (Person's Name) mm-dd.xls
Paste Data (values, formats, column widths) to the new spreadsheet *
Delete Several Columns from the new spreadsheet *
Rename the sheet it's been pasted to
Re-filter data (new filter) *
Copy Data *
Paste Data (values, formats, column widths) to the same spreadsheet, only Sheet 2 *
Set the header of the spreadsheet with (Person's Name) and the date
Save the new spreadsheet
There will be as few as 1 sheet (in which case I would only want one worksheet in the new excel file), or as many as 4 sheets. I don't need a fancy way to do this, as it will only be done once a week, and I can just make the various cases required to do it even if it isn't pretty, but I can't figure out how to manipulate other files that haven't been created yet...

I have a string that has an IP that doesn't follow a fixed length.
Eg:
10.248.242.65Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service
10.248.242.5EOL/Obsolete Software: Oracle Java SE/JRE/JDK 6/1.6
10.248.251.144Microsoft Sync Framework Service Pack
seperate that IP and the String. I tried the below formula =REPLACE(A2,MIN((FIND({"M","E","S"},A2))),0,"?")
It works fine for the above examples, but i want a formula that can seperate the string after the IP ranging from A-Z or a-z
getting any formula so that i can determine atleast the position of the First Letter(A-Z,a-z) from left.

On sheet one, in the column column C I have cells which have characters separated by a space character (For example cell C3 looks like this: "L C"; cell C12 looks like this: "S BF54FR"). There are only a few cells which have more than three characters. The characters are separated by a space character. I would like the macro to do the following: take out each on of the character in put in the same row next column. (For example if in column C has the value: "L C" then in the same row column D should have the value "L" and column E should have the value "C". Or if column C was "S BF54FR" then column D should have the value "S" and column E "BF54FR".

Is there any way to create a macro for the following:
I have the following format
First Name MI Last Name in Column A.
Sometimes there is a space on the last name for someone with a last name Mc Cormick (for example)
Also, sometimes the list of names is short and sometimes the list of names is long. Is there a way to get a "universal" macro in place, that will not depend on the number of names in the list but will be able to detect when the list ends?
So far I was able to run the macro to get them from text-to-column into cells A, B, and C. However, the middle column sometimes contains the last name if there isn't a middle initial. I need a way to test the middle column for more than one character. If there is more than one character, it is a last name and needs to be in the third column.

I have a script to import all the data in a text file into an excel sheet. However, the data that is imported are in the first column of every row.

there is no comma nor / to separate the string of alphanumerics is there any vba script that i can incorporate to separate the first 3 digit in the first column then 5 digit in the second column then 7 digit in the 3rd columns and etc.

I have this export containing HTML content in each cell. I need to filter out a specific code from the links included in the HTML.
HTML Code:
<some HTML>
<a href="http://site.com/content/GE6053" class="button"><span>Text</span></a>
<a href="http://site.com/content/GE123" class="button"><span>Text</span></a>
<some HTML>
I need to get the string GE#### before each " class="button"> and copy it on a cell on the right. There are other links of this format [URL] ..... in the cell, but I am interested only the ones that have " class="button"> after it.
The length of the ID after GE can be 2, 3, 4 or 6 characters long. But I am ok with getting GE + 6 characters following it as that means I would get something like GE12" cl and I will delete the extra character by doing a find/replace.
