was having a look and cannot find the question to this answer.
1,what i have done is made a workbook with a user form to input data (customer id is the unique record)
i now want to create a form where i can put the customer id in and tell it to show me that customers details and i can edit.
i have various textboxes/ combo boxes/ check boxes in the input form and i want all these to be included on the review form (for updating and changing the existing data).
2, also if possiable i will add a sheet with dates for deadline to cancel, can i get this to show on the new input form is it is to late to cancel?
In the following extract, I would like to have today's date placed into Col K when an entry is made into Col J.
Entry into Col J is from a validation list of 3 options. What I desire is that when one of these options is selected ("Complete"), then I would like today's date to be written into Col K.
Currently Col K has a validation list which comprises dates from 1st of each month from July to June.
I need a fixed date as text preferably, so was thinking the VBA function "Date" on a Change Workbook Sub.
The information is currently part of a Table in Excel 2007 that has about 500 records.
Basically I have a form where the list can expand and contract so there will always be varying row lengths.
What I would like to see is a drop down list that shows a) the actual populated field and b) a description of the field when the drop down list is present.
I believe this can be done with a combo box however that would be a lot of work.
This sheet is comprised of 3 different section. The purple section is an input field. Quantities are added based on product type and date. The blue section is a breakdown of all the individual parts that go into the specific product. The green section is a breakdown of all the possible parts in the entire product range.
What I would like is to populate the green field individual part # with the appropriate sum from all the different product types based on quantities desired. I'm sure this is a confusing description but it will make more sense once you check out the sheet.
i have two fields with dates - one field A1 for date authorised (for a data request) and one field B1 for date actioned (data request)
i need a formula to populate in C1 the following:
if A1 is blank then C1 is 'not actioned' if B1 is blank then C1 is 'not complete' if both contain dates then C1 to calculate the number of working days between the dates eg. A1 10.08.09, B1 11.08.09...C1 = 1 working day
I have a tab called 'Tab1' in which I have column called 'Col1' and 'Col2'.
I have another tab called 'Tab 2' with columns 'ColA' and 'ColB'. When I enter a text in Col1(Tab1) I would like that text to be compared to data in 'ColA' from Tab 2 and when match found then get the corresponding value from ColB and autopopulate it in Col2 of Tab1.
See attached for explanation of what I need. I basically need a user form to appear asking for an specific time and services provided and transfer this data into another sheet. In sheet 1 there will be several time codes in pink for each service provided.
I have a spreadsheet that is updated weekly -- but every week new info is added that needs a user to input corresponding info. I use a vlookup function to link to another spreadsheet that populates the info from previous weeks and the info that is missing shows up as #N/A...
First I was using a msgbox function to get the info:
HTML Code:
For Each b In myrange If Application.IsNA(b.Value) Then Employee = b.Offset(0, -2).Value SSID = InputBox("Please enter ID# for " & Employee & " :", "New Employee Found") b.Value = SSID End If Next b
But it can be up to 30 different new employees... and that is time consuming.
I would like to make it more user friendly by creating ONE userform that displays all of the employees as labels -- has a text box in which to put the ID # -- and then has a drop down box to choose the type of employee (2 options). I want all of that info to go back to the reference spreadsheet so it will be saved for following weeks, and then redo the vlookup to get the info into the new weekly spreadsheet (I can do that part)....
HTML Code:
Private Sub CloseButton_Click() Unload UserForm1 End Sub
I have a userform that stores data (1 row record with 20 columns) to a worksheet. Is there a way to grab the data back in (other or the same)userform, ambent(correct) data and store them back in the same row in the worksheet?
I need to populate a combo box on a form with the column name (A,B,C...etc) and the first row data. I need the code to check all columns in-case of missing column data.
Its important to note the data will be dynamic. In my add in, a form opens on requests and asks the user which column he needs to action data on. this could be on any one of several non similar spreadsheets.
E.G.: Combox to hold the following data (see column D has no data or header row):
Column A - Date Column B - Rep Column C - Customer Column D - Column E - Product
I am trying to populate a listbox in a userform using a dynamic list of data in column Y or worksheet "varhold".
Here is my code:
Code: Private Sub Userform2_Initialize() With UserForm2.listbox1 RowSource = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("varhold").Range("offset($y$1,0,0,counta($y:$y),1)") .BoundColumn = 1 .ColumnHeads = False .ColumnCount = 3 End With
End Sub
When I run this procedure, the box is blank. There is no list.
I have a word template that gives a popup when started for the user to fill out. At present this is okay, but it is hard to maintain. So what I want is to be able to add all needed information in Excel - since our tools have the possibility to export my needed info to this.
I have a spreadsheet in Excel 2010 named 'Input TR'. This info I want in the popup macro in word. When choosing name from a dropdown menu - I want Excel to give me the choices instead of having it in the coded macro. After I have choosen the name - I want the product belonging for this name in the 'Product/Service:' dropdown menu, e.g Test 1 will give the value 1...5. (I will only be able to choose one of them)
Today - everything is coded in the word2010 macro, and thus difficult to maintain.
I want to know how to take a field with a value and apply it to fields with range. In this case if i had a value of 15 it would enter that value in this field below. I tried an IF formula but it did not work.
range 31 to 40 range 21 to 30 range 11 to 20 15 range 1 to 10
I need to complete the 'cost field' in Table A, from Table B, but the 'cost' value must be selected from Table B based on it's ' date completed', as per my example attached...
I have a dropdown list selection on the form for types of machines. The list of machines, their sizes and related noise level are in a chart on worksheet 2 and I'd like to automate the form so that when the machine is selected, the related noise level auto populates.
The dropdown box has been put in the form using the data validation function.
i have a file that needs to have daily postings to it, I would like for it to automatically generate today's date and then if you change figure 1, it carries over to figure 2.
I have a simple formula ='info page'!b2&'info page'!b5 in places that on my sheet adds a company prefix to a item number, prefix in b2 and item in b5, we have a client that we cant use prefixes but now when I leave the field blank its giving a zero and thats not good either. I'm pretty sure an IFERROR or something will work but can get the syntax right.
what VBA is required to have a combo box in a userform look up data in a different workbook, then populate that data into the drop down list of that combo box for a user to select.
I have managed to successfully create a vlookup for a combo box in a userform that looks up data in a named range in another worksheet within the same workbook and then populate that data into a field in a worksheet within the same workbook. However, I want to change this so the combo box on a userform (in one workbook) will look up data from a named range in a second workbook without opening the second workbook. At the moment, the code I have that will 'submit' the user selected data from the combo box drop down list works.
The code that has worked so far to vlookup data for the combo box from a worksheet within the same workbook is:
Code: Private Sub UserForm_Initialize() Dim pName As Range Dim ws As WorksheetSet ws = Worksheets("vlookupsheet") For Each pName In ws.Range("ProjectName") With Me.cboProjectName .AddItem pName.Value End WithNext pName Me.cboProjectName.SetFocus End Sub
Do I need specify the file path of the second workbook that will contain the data for the combo box as well as the name of the worksheet and named range in that second workbook?
I am trying to count the number of times that data is in a field and in any field the date is greaert than today's date. This date field could be blank and that is where I am having the problem.
I am using Excel 2003. I need to make a mandatory field for TextBox1 on UserForm2. So if the user leaves TextBox1 "blank", then they are forced to enter in data into TextBox1.
I am looking for a macro or code that if a field not filled or choosen in userform, there will be a error message says "cant continue, please make sure all fields are filled etc..)
I believe it s asked before, but I cant find the relevant thread.
I'm pretty new to VBA and am working on trying to make a userform and I seemed to have gotten stuck.
I have userform with 6 textbox fields and 2 radio buttons. I need all the fields to including the radio buttons to be required. I currently have this set up.
Private Sub OptionSubmit_Click() Dim nextrow As String 'find the next empty row nextrow = Application.WorksheetFunction.CountA(Range("A:A")) + 1 Cells(nextrow, 1) = CsrName.Text
[Code] ........
The required fields still fill in data in the spreadsheet. I need it to check those fields and not allow the data to be entered into the spreadsheet.
I want it to populate a combobox in a userform. Should it go in the code segment for the userform, in a module, or some other place? The following is code I originally found (by Leith Ross of this board) to find the last row in column "A", and load the combo box "ComboBox1"
Userform1 is a basic search and find using the text the user enters in a text box, followed by 'ok' commandbutton.
If a matching cell is found in the worksheet, the row is selected and the second userform asks for text via textbox2. This text will be placed in the end column of that row (column L) that was found to have the text input in Userform 1.
What's important is that if on that row some text already exists in column L, that this appears in textbox2 allowing the user to modify it.
I am searching a database for a particular date and want the data corresponding to that date to be populated into a userform. So in short I want the data to be displayed in the userform. I am looking for ideas on how to do this efficiently. I currently do it with a list box, but it is only able to display one column of information. I hope this is clear.
When I put order number into "txtOrder" it finds that order and populates the labels in userform. But the problem is, it populates only first row with that order number. How to show all other rows with the same order number in userform labels?
For example : i want to find all rows with that order number and populate them into labels like that:
