I am printing a UserForm to a PDF printer and was wondering if you can change the default name "Visual Basic for Applications" name at the time of printing? I am auto-saving and need a value from my UserForm. I must print to pdf printer as the "Export to PDF" does not work for what I am doing.

I got my user form up and running, however I've just been informed that the form has to be able to be printed out. So basically I need this user form with all the data on it and I need it to be printed.
Is there a way to add a command button perhaps that prints out the form with the data on it? (Ex: Imput Data, hit Print command button, have an electronic and hard copy of the information)
I have set up a form where the user can enter the number of copies they want for 10 items (I will call them item1, item2 etc for ease)
Is it possible to then link the numbers in the form to separate parts of a large printing Macro?
how can I change the button/shape name of a Form Button in Excel 2003? I assigned a name using the NameBox, however if I try to change the name via the NameBox, it does and work and the old name remains.

Now, I have so many clients that my Excel file is quite large. So when I want to change the status of a contract, I have to manually look up the file number and change the status manually.
What I ideally would like, is a form that says:
Change status to paid: xxxxxxxx
Where the x's are, I would have to enter the file number, press enter and the corresponding status should change to "paid". I have about 30 contracts a day that change status.
I tried to "draw" what I mean:

I have user form that I want to get rid of the close button that appears as an x in the upper right corner. Is there a way to have this not show when the form comes up ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to know if there is a way to print several different workbooks at once but keeping my printing format which I would like to be Landscape and Fit to one page. Reason is simple as I work in a office where staff is handed in several jobs to do everyday. They finish the jobs and log all the info on the database. I log on to database and put all their daily diaries and because it is all over the place I have to go in each file and set printing preferences which takes an hour in the morning and hour in the evening. I could do with some sort of automation where all diaries are automatically printed in Landscape and Fit on one page.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a report that is generated from a manufacturing process that looks like the example below. the report is 40 pages long when all the data is printed. i am looking for a way to only print this range if a dimension is "out of tolerance". if the dimension is within tolerance, there is always the "garbage" text of plus and minus. if every row is "within tolerance" in the range the cells in the OutTol column would all contain the "garbage" text but it will not always be identical. so, in summary, actual OutTol values = print and all "garbage" = not printed.

I have a button wich will add data entered on a form to a spreadsheet if the data meets certain criteria. If it does not it will not let you add anything. I would like to add a second button that will add the data even if it does not meet the criteria but I need the second button to only be enabled with a password. Maybe a macro to change the button properties from locked to unlocked (true to false).

I have a spreadsheet with several freeforms. I would like them to change backgroundcolour, if the content in a cell is equal to another cell.
Basically I would like my shape "Freeform1" to change backgroundcolour to RGB (0, 180, 0) if Sheet1.Range ("A1") = Sheet2.Range("D3").
If it's not the same content in both cells, I would like the freeform to remain unchanged, that's RGB (79, 129, 189).
This should happend automaticly, so I don't have to click the shape to make it happen.

I have a simple pivot table (PivotTable1) in Sheet1 with three items in the Report Filter which has been named "ROUTE"
I have created a ComboBox in Sheet2 and have added the identical three items in via format control, cell link A1.
I would like to be able to use the combobox in sheet2 to operate the PivotTable Report Filter in Sheet1 as I would like to build a report whereas a user. Can only select the comboBox and does not see the pivotTable

I have a multi-worksheet workbook that has many forms control checkboxes throughout it. I'm looking for some VBA that will change the background (fill) color of ALL the checkbox when it is checked (True). I've seen code for a single checkbox, but not multiple/all boxes. If I fill the form out once and click 'OK' (run the code to put the form data into a sheet), when I go back into the form all the old info is still there. If I then click 'Cancel' (Unload Me) and reopen the form, the old data is cleared out. What am I missing to make it clear it out the first time?

I have a travel authorization form that I would like to have automatically fill in the required fields based on typing in a name. i.e. I would type in an employees name, and it would automatically fill-in the correct address, etc for that employee. I have attached a spreadsheet that contains one sheet as the form, and another sheet containing the employee data. I know nothing about VBA, but I have a feeling that is where I need to go.

Once the data is called back in, I can then export it to another Table to show that the quote has been approved and will be used.
I am having trouble with the VBA coding that copies the inputted quote in Cell C2 (the reference for the quote number) of the "Form" sheet and looks it up in the "Database" sheet. I have tried several variations of code, but nothing works so far.

I have a spreadsheet I use to keep track of weekly sales patterns and use for estimating the amount of a product I would need to order taking into account what I would expect to sell in a given week and what stock I have at present. On the example I've attached, I show where I enter my storeroom count figures, which are organised by supplier and the position in which a particular product appears on the supplier's order form. I have a page which lists the orders by suppliers and which are used to place the orders by e-mail or telephone.
At present I have each supplier section of the order form directly linked to a cell on the storeroom count as per columns K to M on the attached file. However, this means that as products are de-listed by suppliers and extra products become available, I have to edit the formula in each cell as the products now appear in a different position on the storeroom count and may otherwise end up on the order form for a different supplier. I would like to set it up so that I just have to select the supplier name and the table below will automatically fill with the required info, in order of the position they appear on the supplier's form. I'm struggling to combine vlookup and hlookup. Is there a way to do it or do I need to rethink?
I'm trying to pull up a second form from a command button within a form. There's a command button in a sheet to open the first form (frmOrderInput.) Then there's another command button in that form to open the second form (frmPriceInput.)

I have a Database and user form, in the user form i have a field named “Vehicle No” this is a combo box from which a user needs to select the Vehicle numbers, and all these are working fine now, I need your help in the following:
When user selects the second field named "Select Vendor name" i need a pop up window which shows all the Vehicles belongs to the vendor which they have selected, and with the popup window user selects the vehicle number then the Vehicle number combo box should be filled.
Currently users have to select by scrolling through Combo box which takes long time and difficult to find by scrolling.
I have two forms...clicking a specific button on the first form should display the second form which works fine.

When I do this twice, however, the second form seems to freeze/hang and I have to close Excel and then re-open it. I feel like I'm overlooking something obvious...
I have created a registration workbook for this year's youth sports league. All of the information is entered into a User Form and separated onto it's appropriate sheet designated by the child's age. Next year, I would like to use this year's workbook to look up returning players.
Will it be possible to add a "lookup" button into my form, or create a lookup program, that once the registrar clicks on the correct player, the information is plugged into the User Form, the registrar adjusts the age and any necessary info, presses enter, and the information is copied into the appropriate category in the new workbook? I haven't worked with User Forms long enough to know if they can be filled in that way, but if this can be done, you are the people who would know.
I'm using a series of user forms for data entry to a workbook, some of them open next stage user form on completion (OK cmd button).
All that is working fine, but I'd like the initial form to close on showing the next one. I've tried adding Unload and Hide commands following the frmInsertEntry.Show (Next stage form), to no avail, but I'd like this user form to close or hide at the end of the sub.

I have created a form that pops up using a macro when the form is opened. It is a simple form that uses optionbuttons in a group to select Intl or Dom.
Problems:
1) How do you get the form to close once a button is selected?
2) The user can close the form without selecting a button (the X at the top).
3) How do you get the data selected onto the excel spreadsheet?
I need to create a form that if you were to enter a name in the text box it would fill all the information across that row into other boxes on the form. Basicly if I type John Doe in the text box it would look in col A for John Doe and then put whats in the cells on that row into different boxes on my form. I have tried searching but I have had no luck. Im very new to forms so this is a great experience.
