Vlookup Multiple Info From Different Worksheets

I have 3 different sheets of information.
Each sheet has a column of text. With the column of text I have a number associated with it.

I want to ceate a column for each number and have it look at all three sheets for info corresponding with that number.

Ex: 1st Sheet
Excellent condition 20
Like New 20
Poor condition 21

2nd Sheet
No work has been done. 20
Needs Work. 20

3rd Sheet
March 20
December 21

The formula needs to lookup the first number and place the text in the first row, then the next row either go to the next number or if there is not one then the next sheet.

I would like a column that reads something like this:
Sheet 21
in first row - poor condition
second row - december

Sorting Info From A WS To Multiple Worksheets

Here's the issue: I have a spreadsheet with 12,000 contacts in it (name, email, phone number, country, industry, etc etc). The sheet is kind of messy, and I want to clean it up. One way thing I want to do is organize it. I want to sort the Master sheet into other worksheets, and I would like to do this Industry.

Is there a way to make excel register when a contact is in a certain industry, and then subsequently move that contact into a sheet? I tried playing around with If/Then functions, but I think this is a job for a macro/VB expert.

Extracting Info From Multiple Worksheets To Summarize

I have a workbook that we use for our internal customers to use to place orders for equipment. There are five worksheets within that file that outline the different products. The requestor will indicate what items they want by putting a number in the quantity cell that is appropriate for the product. This could be using a combination of all five worksheets for the one request.

What I want to do is to create a summary page that only extracts the information from the other worksheets that has a value marked in the quantity spot only.

I have multiple worksheets with data for which I would like to write a macro to search and "retrieve" based on the State/County/Municipality and Client selected. I have created the drop down menus that should drive the data being searched, but I'm not confident in my very limited abilities to take this to the next level.

End goal: User should be able to select from the dependent drop down lists (State/County/Municipality) and/or Client, click "Retrieve Data" button and pull in data from the appropriate worksheet driven by the selection in the drop down lists.

VLOOKUP Multiple Worksheets

I have 4 spreadhsheets in all, the front main sheet plus 3 with different informatioin on. In the main sheet i want to collate all the data togther automatically rather than cut and paste becuase the data is ongoing and updating from other workbooks.

All 3 sheets have a one main column (lets say "A") then 5 or 6 columns after wards. I want the number in column "A" in the main sheet to match the number in the other 3 sheets then pull the information from the other 5 or 6 columns into the main sheet. So that if i changed the number in the main sheet column "A" to a different number it would change the other columns automatically. Basically, if its not in sheet 1 then look in sheet 2, if not in 2 then look in 3.

I am trying to vlookup using data on two seperate worksheets. On a worksheet called form, I am trying to return a value from sheet1 or sheet2. If the look up value is not on sheet1, how do i get it to look for the lookup value on sheet2? B5 contains the look up value, on sheet1 and sheet2 the array is a2:z65000, 38 is the column index number, false is the range lookup.

Hyperlink To VLookup Result In Multiple Worksheets

I have a vlookup worksheet like described in this thread: [URL] .... This works perfect. I would like to be able to jump to the vlookup result using a hyperlink.

In the thread worksheet the formula in C2 is like

In cell D2 I placed the formula (font: webdings )

(Due to the Dutch Excel I use I replaced ";" to ",")

The link works because I hardcoded "Sheet2" into the formula where the result can be found. But it would be much nicer if I didn't had to put the sheetname into this formula.

Is it possible to use range G2:G8 like in the first formula to achieve this? I guess you have to use INDEX and/or INDIRECT but I barely understand the first formula ...

I want to find sum of all 4 returned values (Sales!BL5, Sales!BM5, Grants!X5, Deferred Pymts!X5

Column References:

Cell AD2 (AMOUNT TOTAL PYMTS)
Cell AC2 (TOTAL NO. OF ORDERS)
Cell Range B5:B4833 on multiple pages (CUSTOMER NAME)
Cell Range AJ5:AJ4833 on multiple pages (CUSTOMER NAME)

Formula:

In Cell AD2 of CustomerData! Sheet:

If AC2 is not blank, then
look for match between A2 and Sales!B5:B4833, return the value in Sales!BL5, and
look for match between A2 and Sales!AJ5:AJ4833, return the value in Sales!BM5, and
look for match between A2 and Grants!B5:B4833, return the value Grants!X5, and
look for match between A2 and Deferred Pymts!B5:B4833, return the value Deferred Pymts!X5

Hope this does not confuse, but if John Doe is listed in AC2 I want to find the sum of his total payments if his name is listed as a customer in Sheets Sales, Grants, and Deferred Pymts. The Sales! sheet is divided into AM and PM pricing which explains why Sales! has Column B and Column AJ for Customer Names.

I know it can be done, but just not sure how to go about doing that. Updating Info In 2 Worksheets Simultaneously

I am installing over 1000 phones for a business. I was provided a list created in excel (not by me) of all of the phones with their locations and phone numbers. Upon successful installation I simply search the spreadsheet for the phone number and place an "X" in the completed column. I do know how to filter the spreadsheet to print only those with an "X" that I submit weekly to show progress.

Now I am given a separate list of specific phones that someone wants completed by a certain date. I have copied this list to " Sheet 2" of the spread sheet. Is there anyway I can have exel mark and "X" in the completed column on Sheet 2 when I update Sheet 1? Can I update the list on sheet 2 with those that are already "X"ed as complete on Sheet 1?

VLOOKUP - Copying Info From One Workbook To Another And Populating A Column

I am working on two worksheets, in different workbooks. They are both lists of customers and Worksheet 1 is 2500 rows & contains up to date data & Worksheet 2 is 20000+ & includes some that is outdated. Worksheet A data is all contained within worksheet B but I need to be able to update/compare them.

Each customer in worksheet A has two unique identifiers but in B there is only one. I want to be able to add in the missing unique identifier (numeric) from A to B, which will identify which customers are still active from worksheet B.

I have been trying to do a VLOOKUP so I can insert the relevant data from the cell from A to B but I'm getting a N/A error. My formula looks like this:

=VLOOKUP('[Netsuite customer details 17feb14.xlsx]Customers'!$B$2,'[Netsuite customer details 17feb14.xlsx]Customers'!$A$2:$BE$2549,2,FALSE)

Excel 2010 :: Cross Checking Info With VLookup And Extracting Data From Sheet

So in my excel document I have it such that on the first sheet (Labeled 'Sorted') the data is set up as follows: LOCATION, EXTENSION, NAMEWith the appropriate data under each header. On the second sheet (Labeled 'Locations_Ext') I have a named range called Locations; it contains extensions from a separate document, names of people associated with the extensions from the document, and their locations on the map. I am trying to have it such that the excel matches the extension number given on the first sheet with the ones that I extracted from the document on the second and output the location into the first column on the first sheet. The code I have set up for that process is:

=VLOOKUP(B(//SomeValue),Locations,1,FALSE)

I then want the excel to cross check the information that I took from the Visio to see if the visio is up to date with the latest info we have received (Which is the data on the first page under Extension and Name). The code:

=IF(C(//SomeValue)=VLOOKUP(B(//SomeValue),Locations,3,False),"Good","Error")

Both codes seem to be giving me this: #N/A as the results for every cell.. I'm using MS 2010

I'm trying to solve i have multiple books but each book contains same information e.g

etc ... there is also multiple sheets in each book all are same layout just each book is different customer.

I'm trying to do is have a Listbox that shows all customer name and link back to His/her file location. Then retrieve certain information and display on blank workbook?

Question:
Can this be done without opening workbook
Considering i have 20+ workbooks and growing is this even possible
Cannot merge workbooks into one as this info is supplied by third party

Data Validation With Multiple Info Displayed

I have multiple worksheets with different data which are as follows:

Sheet 1 - Pricing
Sheet 2 - Selections
Sheet 3 - Summaries (created later with a pivot table)

For the most part I have the sheet working as I want it to, the issue I have is on the selections sheet. The Selections sheet has data validation linked to the All Data sheet via a drop down list, what I would like it to be able to do is to display in the dropdown list 2 separate columns from the All Data list rather than just the primary list.

Allow me to elaborate:

Sheet 1:
Column A; Socket, Socket, Socket, Cable, Cable
Column B, Supplier A, Supplier B, Supplier C, Supplier A, Supplier B

So just to confirm I would like to be able to select the item from column A but it also display (while selecting), column B side by side so that a comparison can be made as part of the selection process.

Counts Info Based On Multiple Conditions

I am trying to get a list which counts info based on multiple conditions but I can find no way round this one point

I have a sheet which has all the games played in a particular division and the time that each goal was scored and I am trying to break down the following

What I want is a list that has a column that has the result of how many times when team A were playing at home was a goal scored between the 45th and 65th minute


column A = Home Team
B=Away Team
C= Time of First goal
D=Time of Second goal
E=Time of Third etc

I have a countifs in place for counting the home team and counting if the first goal was scored in under 10 minutes (this is simple as obviously all the first goals are in column C) but what I want to do is be able to have a count of how many times a goal was scored between x number of minutes eg between 40-50.

My problem comes when trying to count the goal times as some matches will have no goals and the cells will be blank and others will have multiple cells filled and the figure I want could be in any column and I also only want it to count only the amount of games a goal was scored between those times so if a game had 3 goals scored in between that time I only want it to count 1.

The sheet has a lot more columns but this is the main sticking point.

I need for coloring "Expected Delivery Date" column corresponding with "Control Date" and "Control Result. But I want to correspond with the cells' last content of "Control Date" and "Control Result" But first of all I want "Control Date" should be flashed 10 days ago of it's date... Then
I want "Expected Delivery Date" as green when
- "Expected Delivery Date" =< "Control Date" and "Control Result" =Y (Means Control is Ok on due time)

Copy Multiple Rows From One Book To Another Based On Info In Cell D

I have a workbook with a single worksheet that has about 2000 rows, columns A, B, C, D, E & F
Cells in colums A, B, C, E & F all have very different information in them, nothing is similar in any of those columns that I can base a criteria on. Cells in column D however will have 1 of about 18 possibilities in them

What I want to do is have another workbook with 18 worksheets, each worksheet named 1 of the 18 possibilities, and somehow magically pull the data from the first workbook and insert it into the correct worksheet in the second workbook, leaving the data in the first workbook intact.

I update the first workbook several times a day, adding and deleting from it so would need to update as it goes, or be able to run the update as and when needed.

My skills are limited to simple formulas inserted into cells and dragging them down!

Separating Mailing Address Info From 1 Column To Multiple Columns?

Whoever created my customer contacts Excel sheet prior to my arrival entered all of the contacts address information into one cell and in order for me to put this info into Access, I need them seperated. For example:

10000 X Street Louisville, KY 40291 is in cell E2

I would like it to read:

10000 X Street in cell E2
Louisville in cell F2
KY in cell G2
40291 in cell H2

They also did this with phone numbers (ie. desk# / cell# / fax#).

There are over 1000 contacts in this sheet, so it would take forever to split these apart row by row.

I'm currently doing a survey using an excel workbook that contains multiple questions across multiple worksheets using radio buttons linked to certain cells.

I have around 400 workbooks coming back to me, so what i want to do is take specific values from across many worksheets within each workbook and combine them into a large master table in a seperate workbook.

I've tried using VBA, but not being very proficient at it i've hit a brick wall with that, so i'm hoping that there is an easier way to do it than what i'm currently pursuing.

Vlookup Across 12 Worksheets

I've being asked to create this awesome new spreadsheet that summaries data from two other spreadsheets. I personally have no idea about excel but have gotten quiet good with the vlookup and isna formulas etc and so far so good. Till i had to search for a value over 12 worksheets. Ive tried Vlookup using an indirect formula using named cells etc i found but i cant work it out and all this reading has turned my brain to mush. So what im trying to do is:

I have a new spreadsheet called summary. What i need to do is pull sales data through from a spread sheet called "Sales Orders_2009". In the spread sheet there is multiple tabs, 12 of which i need to search. The tabs are called SalesJan, SalesFeb etc. On each tab i need to search in the data range B10 to I34. In the Summary spreadsheet i type an invoice number into A2 and that is the lookup value to search for across the 12 worksheets.

Nested Vlookup (look The Name Up From 3 Other Worksheets)

I have a new worksheet:

Employee No. Name

Under the Name colum (B) i want a formula that uses the employee number (A) to look up the name. The problem i am having is that i need to look the name up from 3 other worksheets.

On worksheet 1 i have fridays work and 2 i have saturdays work and 3 sundays!! I only want a name to appear if they worked any one (or more) of these days. If they didn't work i would like the name to remain blank.

On all worksheets employee number and name arein colums A and B.
I do have another worksheet that has name and number only in though. worksheet 4!

I have two worksheets and VLookup is not working between the two worksheets. I made sure that type of text is same . COntent is trimmed to avoid any blank spaces. If i put the formula for the same sheet range i get the value but for another worksheet i m getting #NA error.

Vlookup To Find Data From All Worksheets

I have a workbook with 32 worksheets. Data on 31 of these sheets all filter through to the one "Summary" sheet. The data on all the other worksheets is input manually and the lay-out is identical on each sheet. What I want to do is a Vlookup on the summary sheet for every sheet in the workbook, but without typing VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1A:C,3,0)+VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2A:C,3,0) etc etc (my sheets aren't actually called Sheet 1/2/3 etc, they have specific names).
