Macro Run Copy Text From Active Cell And Find That Value In Another Sheet
I would like to create macro, where it would on macro run copy text from active cell and find that value in another sheet (in column H) and select that cell.

How To Run Macro From Active Sheet
I have written the below macro to copy data from a sheet called "Fixit Example 1" to a sheet called "Fixit Summary Example". It works fine, but I'd like to be able to run it from any "Fixit Example XX" worksheet. As written, the data is always copied from "Fixit Example 1" regardless of what worksheet I have open. I tried replacing Windows("Fixit Example 1.xls").Activate with Windows(Active.Worksheet).Activate but got an error "Run time error 424. Object required." Essentially, I have 2 Sheets: "SheetWSS" = data to be copied "SheetWSD" = destination of copied data. E.g rows 2 and 3 relates to one trade. So if CORP loans money with system no.7 to CUSTB, who uses system no.22, it shows for CORP a loan and for CUSTB, a deposit. 4) Everyday, the data in "SheetWSS" is updated with a different number of rows from previous, but the number of columns remain the same. So, here's what i'ld like the macro to do: 1) Go into Column C, find system no.7 and 11. 2) For each 7 and 11 found, Copy the next row . So if for e.g, system no.11 was found in C4, i want the ENTIRE ROW 5 to be copied. 3) Paste the entire next row in "SheetWSD" until we have a list of all opposing sides of the same transactions initiated by CORP.

I am tring to write a macro that will hide certain columns on sheet2 based on the value of cell a1 of sheet1. I have been able to get it to work when the input cell is in the same sheet. What I need for example is if someone enters 1 into cell a1 on sheet1 then on sheet2 the macro will hide column c to f. I'm in the leadup to my A2 ICT controlled conditions piece where i have to make an Excel system. My chosen subject for this is to use the school house points system. I'm going to make a system where the results of house matches are inputted and points are awarded accordingly. I just have a couple of queries after looking at my initial designs. 1. Is it possible to get excel to look through a sheet, find a text reference, then bring up something in a cell located in the same row? For example, for it to locate one of the House team names, then go along the row and find the ammount of house points they have in order to make a total for them. Is this also possible over a number of sheets? (In order to keep a running total on a separate sheet). E.G. House, Games Played, Wins, Losses, Draws, House Points 2. For the house cross country event they use a different system which differs from everything i have designed. What i basically need to do is be able to use a drop down against each finishing position where you can select one of the four house teams, then it takes the points won for that finishing position and puts them into a table.

I have the following code in another workbook that is used to populate a cell on the same sheet based on input to cells in column 'A'. Is it possible to modify this for the attached workbook to select a cell with data (numbers) on the Input Data sheet in column 'E', add text to the beginning, ('CG' in this case), and paste the result to the Import Template in the corresponding cell of column 'A'? I currently have a formula copied to dozens of cells in 'A' but since the number of rows for the Input Template is variable, there are usually cells in 'A' that contain CG but no corresponding data in the rest of the row.

Copy Range Of Cells To Active Row In Second Sheet
Sheet 1 has data entered into it, it is then printed out as a jobsheet, saved and the data cleared. There are certain fields on this sheet that are eventually manually replicated onto sheet 2. The row in which they must go on sheet 2 will always be the 'activerow' on that sheet from a previous operation. It would make life so much easier and save lots of time if I could incorporate copying cells C10,C12,K8,K12,M2,C27 and C29 from sheet 1 to respective cells H,I,J,M,N,R,S of the active row on sheet 2 before I carry out the clear data process.

Macro To Find Positive Value In One Cell Then Copy Value Of Corresponding Cells
I have a 'rota' worksheet that includes staff names and their rostered hours on all dates through the month. On each date of the month I need excel to find that date in column A and then look across the row to find any cells that aren't blank. When the cell has a value I need the name above it in row 1 and the value (number of hours) itself to copy across to a 'daily activities' sheet. The date is autopopulating on this sheet in cell H5. The name needs to drop into column A and the hours worked into column B. I would like the first cell to be A9 and then down from there with no spaces in between names. The other info on the sheet will then complete itself using the name that has been dropped in using VLookup. I'm presuming I can use a macro to do this for me but am really struggling where to start with it, and how to ignore blank cells as they will change cells on a monthly basis.

I have a workbook which has links to another excel workbook (source). This workbook has many sheets -all exact copy- with different names. I changed startup prompt (edit->links) to "dont display the alert and dont update automatic links". Then I recorded a macro for updating links (from source) and assigned this macro to a button. I have a code which looks at sheet2, useing a date value, and returns the Vent value and the Tanker value to sheet1. Because of the file size I have pasted a small section of Sheet2 in the hopes you can see what I am doing. Find Method To Search For The Active And Non Active Values
I have a range of amounts in Sheet 1 from F7:Q13 and im using the find method to search for the active and non active values in the cell. Which means that if there's a value in the cell it will transfer the value in Sheet 2, if nothing is found in the cell the cells in Sheet 2 will return as nothing or null. Create Macro To Chart Data With Location As Object In Active Sheet
I have been trying to create a macro in excel to chart a selection of data and to output the chart on the active sheet where the data was taken (as opposed to a named sheet). So basically, I have about 300 worksheets with data, and I would like to have a button on each page that automatically charts that data when clicked, and outputs the chart to the page where the macro was clicked. However, I have not been able to figure out a relative reference that will allow me to make the LocationasObject reference simply the ActiveSheet as opposed to a specifically named sheet. See my code below, which references an output to a worksheet called "Charts". Right now, all of my charts are outputting to the sheet called "Charts", as opposed to the active sheet. Referencing Active Cell's Value From Another Sheet
I'd like for users to click in a cell in col A in a sheet named "Period7", have the cell value placed in cell C11 in a sheet named "Per7Report," and change the focus or active sheet to sheet Per7Report. Can this be done simply by clicking in a cell, or must a command button be inserted into each cell (note - odd rows only) in col A in Period7. on the code to do this? Note that there is a formula in col A in sheet Period7

Copy Active Cell Down Adjacent Range To Right
Split from: Clear Range To Right Of Active Cell Down. I was working through this the first step was to clear the contents of the cells. After they are cleared, I have another sub that then goes and retreives a unquie number and places it back at the top of the column that I just cleared. Would this same code that cleared the cells contents work to copy the contents of the active cell down that same column, until the cell to its right is blank? -R-

Protected Sheet Will Not Allow Macro To Run
I have protected several sheets in my workbook to protect the forumlas and data for being tempered with by the users. When I try to run my macro, I get an error message stating: Runtime '1004' You can not use this command on a protected sheet And the debug is pointing to this part of my code
