Find Text And Copy Row Only If Active Cells In The Row
Jun 23, 2014
I need to find a specific text in column D of sheet2 of my worksheet and copy that row to sheet1 to the last blank cell in column B. The macro should continue to search for the next text and copy rows only if there is active cells in the range column A : C of sheet2. I need a VBA code to do this.

how to work macros or VBA
I have a workbook with multiple sheets named by month and year that I use to keep track of loans I work with at a bank. In these sheets I have info such as:
Column B = due date
Column D = loan# A
Column E = loan# B
Column F = status
Column H = followup needed
(Columns A,C, and G aren't important for the current need)
What I am trying to do is create a main sheet (TRACKER) that all I will have to do is press a macro button and it will pull info for each loan that is in a pending status.
I need a macro that will search column F (Status) on all sheets and find each instance of "Pending" and once that is done, copy rows B,D,E, and H in each "Pending" instance and copy them to their designated area on my TRACKER sheet. After that is done I need it to continue to the next "pending" instance and do the same on the next available line on my TRACKER sheet.
The overall goal would be that everyday I can press the macro and it will repopulate the sheet with the current pending items (as each day I will change pending status' to complete and no longer need to track it the next day).
I already have the tracker sheet set up and ready to go with the spaces as follows:
Column G&H = Merged cells where due date will need to go
Column I&J = Merged cells where loan# A will need to go
Column K&L = Merged cells where loan# B will need to go
Column M thru S = Merged cells where followup needed will need to go

Here is my code:
Code:
Sub Arraytest()
Dim arr As Variant, lastrow As Long, i As Long, f As Long, l As Long
f = 0
lastrow = Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
ReDim arr(1 To 1, 1 To lastrow)

Sheet 1 has data entered into it, it is then printed out as a jobsheet, saved and the data cleared. There are certain fields on this sheet that are eventually manually replicated onto sheet 2. The row in which they must go on sheet 2 will always be the 'activerow' on that sheet from a previous operation. It would make life so much easier and save lots of time if I could incorporate copying cells C10,C12,K8,K12,M2,C27 and C29 from sheet 1 to respective cells H,I,J,M,N,R,S of the active row on sheet 2 before I carry out the clear data process.

I have a range of amounts in Sheet 1 from F7:Q13 and im using the find method to search for the active and non active values in the cell. Which means that if there's a value in the cell it will transfer the value in Sheet 2, if nothing is found in the cell the cells in Sheet 2 will return as nothing or null.
I think the problem lies on the FindWhat variable. Im getting a compiled error which im not sure what is it.
I've attached the spreadsheet so you get a better idea of the problem that i encountered.

To ensure correct data entry, I need to ensure that the filled cells in a column are always in Uppercase for example, irrespective of whether they are typed in upper or lower case.
I have found the following code, which seems to work quite well, even though I have the impression that it slowed my workbook down slightly.

See attached spreadsheet for reference : MacroHelp.xlsx
I would like the macro to look in column I, and when it finds "TRUE", I'd like it to copy and paste values in all the cells to the left of it.
Reason being is that I want to rid the row of its formula, so the next time someone changes the info (the date the vlookup is searching for) in the tabs those cells are referring to, I will not lose the data it returned previously.
Really all I want is to copy and paste the values in the lowermost row of new information for each plant, but this is the best way I can currently think of.
I've removed the tabs the cells in columns B-G are referring to for sensitivity's sake.

I want a macro to find the row that include a specific text (For example "SMSC") in a range (A1:A100) then copy this entire row below the cell which has the value "OTHERS". That is, if there are 10 pieces of "SMSC" so these rows including "SMSC" should be listed below the cell "OTHERS"

I have some EXCEL files, titled as "AAA", "BBB", "CCC", so on... Calculated values are placed in Column Z for each file. In order for me to export the files to another software, I would need to create another new EXCEL file (I call it MASS) and place all the calculated values in that new file. In that new file, the titles have to be on Column A and the calculated values on Column B.
For example, File "AAA" has 120 calculated values. In MASS, the word "AAA" has to appear on Column A a number of 120 times and the 120 calculated values are then placed on Column B. Each value must correspond to the word "AAA". The same procedure goes for "BBB", in which the word "BBB" is placed on Column A after the end of "AAA". What I want to achieve is by using a macro that will look up the title of the Active Worksheet and then scan Column A in MASS. If the title matches whatever is in Column A, then the macro will paste the corresponding calculated values onto Column B automatically.
For example, for file "GGG", the macro will look up the word "GGG", scan through Column A in MASS for the start of the word "GGG" and paste the calculated values at the start of Column B. Could I have an idea of how might the macro looks like?

Essentially, I have 2 Sheets:
"SheetWSS" = data to be copied
"SheetWSD" = destination of copied data.
Below is a sample of the data in "SheetWSS"
----------A------------------------B-------------------------C
1------Trade ID -------Description---------System no.
2--------579----------------Loan ---------------------- 7
3--------580----------------Deposit---------------------22
4--------702----------------Deposit--------------------- 11
5--------703----------------Loan ----------------------- 58
6--------732 ---------------Loan------------------------66
7--------733----------------Deposit-------------------- 99
etc...(no more than 10000)
Now, an explanation of the data:
1) I work for a small bank (CORP) that takes deposits and gives loan.
2) CORP books these trades using only system no. 7 and 11; other system nos. belong to customers.
3) When a single trade is booked, the 2 sides of the transaction is recorded (by Trade IDs) . E.g rows 2 and 3 relates to one trade. So if CORP loans money with system no.7 to CUSTB, who uses system no.22, it shows for CORP a loan and for CUSTB, a deposit.
4) Everyday, the data in "SheetWSS" is updated with a different number of rows from previous, but the number of columns remain the same.
So, here's what i'ld like the macro to do:
1) Go into Column C, find system no.7 and 11.
2) For each 7 and 11 found, Copy the next row . So if for e.g, system no.11 was found in C4, i want the ENTIRE ROW 5 to be copied.
3) Paste the entire next row in "SheetWSD" until we have a list of all opposing sides of the same transactions initiated by CORP.

Let's say sheet - "delivery" - has a row1 that includes all possible delivery days. So A1 is 1.9.2013, B1 is 15.9.2013, C1 is 1.10.2013 and so on.
I want to make a macro, that will gradually go through whole row 3 in sheet "delivery" and look for "A1" date in sheet "Orders". Sheet "orders" have for example in column B the date of delivery, and in column C product of the delivery.
I want the macro to find all deliveries with "A1" date, and paste all products that will be delivered on this day under cell A1 (sheet delivery). then move on to the cell B1 (sheet delivery) - find all orders in sheet orders, that will be delivered on B1 date, and list all products with this delivery date under cell B1 (sheet delivery).
Example:
Sheet order
A
B
C
Date of delivery
Product
1.9.2013

Exit Sub
Else

Attached is a spreadsheet that has Months in column B and Number of Reviews in column C. What I'm trying to do is create code or maybe just a formula that will scan the Reviews column (col C), find the first non-zero cell, and then copy/paste that value into F4. It would then find the corresponding month that is tied to that value and place it in E4. It would then repeat this process for the rest of the months and copy/paste all the rest of the non-zero cells and their corresponding months into columns E and F. The attached shows in italics what the final product should look like.
It is important to note that the numbers in column C are not static... in some cases the first non-zero cell may be the first cell or it could be the tenth cell. In other words, it's data is dynamic.

I am looking for a way to perform a find, and then copy multiple cells. The code below is what I have this far:
'The code under this section opens the first file and copies the Surrogate Compound components
Dim basebook As Workbook
Dim mybook As Workbook
Dim mybook2 As Workbook
Dim sourceRange As Range
Dim destrange As Range
Dim SourceRcount As Long
Dim N As Long
Dim rnum As Long
Dim rnum2 As Long
Dim rnum3 As Long
Dim MyPath As String
Dim SaveDriveDir As String
Dim FileName1 As Variant
Dim FileName2 As Variant
Dim FileName3 As Variant
The code above will actual perform the find, and copy what is in the criteria of the search. However, I am trying to find a way to perform the search, copy the data that is in the search creteria plus data that is in another cell. The data in the other cell will always be different, so I cannot use that in a find criteria. The other data will always be found in the "E" column. I was thinking that possible there might be a way to perform the find, copy that entire row, and then just delete the columns that are not needed. However, I have been unsuccessful in my attempts.

I have a list of about 2 million phrases. The list was created by combining two lists in all possible combinations:
a list of about 800 street names
a list of about 1000 property names
example
church street flat
church street apartment
house church street
house king's road
etc
what I would like excel to do is the following:
look at each cell and determine which of the 800 street names it contains. write that streetname into adjacent cell.
this would then leave me with the original column, where each of the 2 million cells has been assigned one of 800 streetnames.
for example:
church street flat | church street
church street apartment | church street
house church street | church street
house king's road | king's road
that's all. I think that can't be too difficult, and probably it has already been discussed here in the forum. unfortunately I did not know for which keywords to search, that is why I couldn't find the posts.
I hope somebody can help me as I need to get this sorted for work as soon as possible. All semi-automatic ways I could think of to accomplish this would take me days that I don't have.

I've just started with VBA and are trying to figure out following:
I'm using a validation list where the user choose one of twelve alternatives. The option she or he made is found in one or more rows in column B. If there is a match between the alternative in the validation list and in column B I want to copy some of the cells in the same row as the match in column B (to be exact, I want to copy the cells in column E, J, N and P) to another sheet.
I've succeeded doing this with one row but I don't know how to do without using that same code over and over again until Excel has made it trough all the rows. And there is over 200 of them.

There are two problems to solve :
My Excel workbook is composed of 2 sheets. The first one is a Dashboard (Sheet1) and the second one (Sheet13) is where the data is.
I would like to press a button on the first one, enter the text to be found into an Inputbox and then copy-paste cells from the second sheet (containing the data) into the first one.
The data is structured in rows, from A to V columns.
I would like, according the row where is located the found cell, copy given given cells from Sheet13 to Sheet1.
Right now, I have a macro performing the search like desired and selecting the found cell :
Code:
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click() Dim FindString As String
Dim Rng As Range
FindString = InputBox("Entrer le contrat de support - rechercher (DSI....) ")
If Trim(FindString) "" Then
With Sheet13.Range("V:V")
Set Rng = .Find(What:="*" & FindString & "*", _
[Code] .......
I would like to copy cells located in the columns A, B, D, E, F, K, S, (T:U) from the row where the searched string has been found in Sheet13. It has to be copied on Sheet1, on two rows : (N29:Q29) & (N30:Q30).
When a new research is done, the previously copied cells should be cleared out.
2. The second point is about duplicating a button with an associated macro. The macro is running like I want but I have to insert 299 more buttons, with the updated formula according to the row where it is located.
However, one part of the macro has to stay the same because all of these 300 buttons increment a single counter located on Sheet1.
Code:
Sub Button2600_Click() If MsgBox("Etes-vous sûr de vouloir ajouter 1 année de support pour" & vbNewLine & Range("E7") & " " & "(" & Range("F7") & ")" & " ?", vbYesNo + vbQuestion, "Modification du Contrat de Support") = vbYes Then
Sheet13.[A7] = DateAdd("yyyy", 1, [A7])
MsgBox "Contrat étendu d'une année."
Dim x As Integer
x = Sheet1.[R11].Value
Sheet1.[R11].Value = x + 1
End If
End Sub
You can get the excel workbook at the following link : [URL] ....
