Macro To Delete Entire Rows If Certain Cells Are Empty
Mar 5, 2009
I'd like help in creating a macro that deletes an entire row that has emtpy cells in col B, C & D in the same row.
So for example if I have empty cells in b3,c3 & d3 I'd like the row deleted.
I've used the code below for just column B but I need to include column C & D as well. I tried putting Columns("B:D") but it deletes everything.

I have a formula that does exactly what I need , it fetches negative stocks from sheet 1 , but the formula places the data exactly on the same row where the negative is , thus there are a lot of in between data not required , Yes I can copy paste special values and remove blank rows , but the macro will do it faster

I am looking for something that will first delete all empty columns up until it runs into data, then delete all rows that are blank in Column A until it runs into data.
In other words, I recieve different spreadsheets that start their data in different locations and I would like to have them always start in cell A1.

I have columns
Row 1 is heading..
IF Column C doesn't have data in entire column then delete C D E F
IF Column D doesn't have data in entire column then delete D E F
IF Column E doesn't have data in entire column then delete E F
IF Column F doesn't have data in entire column then delete F
Same way for heading NN's
IF Column G doesn't have data in entire column then delete G H I J K L M N
IF Column H doesn't have data in entire column then delete H I J K L M N
IF Column I doesn't have data in entire column then delete I J K L M N
IF Column J doesn't have data in entire column then delete J K L M N
IF Column K doesn't have data in entire column then delete K L M N
IF Column L doesn't have data in entire column then delete L M N
IF Column M doesn't have data in entire column then delete M N
IF Column N doesn't have data in entire column then delete N

I'm trying to create a macro to delete all empty rows but only if they are a certain row height. I currently have a macro that looks to the first cell and if it's empty, then it deletes the entire row. The only problem is that I would like to keep the shorter, empty rows to maintain my desired formatting. I will post the code I have if I can figure out how to do it properly and not violate the forum rules.
[code]
Sub DeleteEmptyRows()
'Cell A above and below each header contains white and gray text to maintain formatting when deleting empty rows'
Dim i As Long, LastRow As Long
LastRow = ActiveSheet.Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row[code]......

I am trying to populate the 2 tables from excel to word. I will be getting the excel file with tables in various sheets. One sheet consist of 2 tables that will be inserted to one word document. So if there are 2 sheets then I will have the tables inserted in the 2 word document. In the excel sheet I have attached, there are 2 sheets with tables in each of them. I have written the code to copy and paste the table to word doc from (general) range A1:G4 (Table 1) and A9:H18 (Table 2) that has empty rows and columns selected. But there are empty rows and columns inserted since the table range is not same sheetwise. I would like get the empty rows and columns deleted in the word table.
Find the attached sample excel sheet and the word documents.
DeleteEmptyRows(Sample).xlsx
Sheet1.doc
Sheet2.doc

I created a macro that analyzes some datasets and according to different parameters it puts an X at the side of every cell that goes out of parameters. These Xs are all in columns named the same way for it to be easier to find. What I want to do is to write some macro that will hide every row where the data did not go out of parameters to be able to easily see where it did. In the following example it would need to hide the second row since there are no Xs in that row. One of the problems I'm having is that the amount of columns and rows is variable.

Below is the piece of code that I created to try to do this (G has the value for the amount of rows). I think it is working but it is either taking too long since it has to sometimes go through over 20k lines as much times as it needs to to cover all the rows that contain Xs or its getting stuck for some reason.
Code:
Worksheets(2).Range("I3:I" & G).EntireRow.Hidden = True
K = 0
Do Until Worksheets(2).Range("I1").Offset(0, K) = ""
If Worksheets(2).Range("I1").Offset(0, K) = "Functional Upset" Then

in a selected columnar range.
I want to write a fairly simple, fast macro to examine a selected range and simply delete the row for each blank cell that it finds in that range.
I have read around that loops aren't necessarily that fast and some of these ranges could be 1000s of rows long...
way to write something like this in VBA?

I'm trying to put together a script which on the sheet "Resource" compares every cell in the range B:U, starting at row 8, and where all cells match, keep the first row, but delete the duplicate proceeding rows.
I've found the code below here: [URL] ...., which I thought I may be able to adapt, but for me to include all the columns in the 'If.Evaluate' section of code seems to perhaps not the most efficient way of doing this.

I need excel to delete entire rows if there are duplicates in two columns combined.
So, if I have this sample data (in reality I have a lot more columns)
1 Tr. ID Last Name First Name Sex
2 RBM_A Miller Johnny M
3 RBM_A Bayron Josephine F
4 RBM_A Jackson Reynaldo M
[Code] ........
I want excel to delete only row 9, not 11, 13 or 14.
So far, if I look for duplicates in both columns it marks duplicates in either one. Also if I delete the duplicates, it deletes them only in those two columns, leaving me with distorted data (in this example, row 14 would have no last or first name, but only the values "RBM_C" in column B and "F" in column E.

Excel Range A1 - D500. Data located in column C. I would like to delete the rows in this spread sheet that do not contain any of the following 3 prefixes of part numbers from column C: X-SXP, X-SCM and X-SBP. There are many part numbers but only parts with these 3 prefixes are needed. Part numbers are 10 characters long after the prefix. If any additional information is needed, let me know.
I viewed the Delete Rows Meeting Conditions thread, but the input value in that code is for what you want to delete, and I need to delete everything not meeting the data I want to keep, which is about 30 different part numbers. Also, that appeared to only offer one input and not 3.

I need help writing a macro for a workbook I am creating. I have a report page that needs to be printed, but depending on the input information, sometimes there are blank rows in between the data. For example A1 may have the value 1, and then A2 is blank but A3 has the value 3. I am trying to write a macro that will delete row 2 (as well as other rows which are blank) and then print the report after all blank rows are removed.

I need a macro to delete each row in which all cells contain the same value, always starting in cell G2 and going out an indefinite number of cell's. So, for one run, the range could be G2:BU2 and another it could be G2:PW2. Also, the number of row's is indefinite.
And an added complexity: I need it to ignore the cell in this search process if the cell contains "NC" - so if all the data in the row is the same except for a few that say NC - then it gets deleted. If the any of the cells in the row have other values, then that row does not get deleted - even if it contains "NC".

I need create a macro to perform the following - I don't know if it needs to be an Excel macro or via VB. This is to speed a process up and eliminate any spreadsheet messing around for our "admin" staff - they are not good with excel at all!
So, I have a daily/weekly down load of a spreadsheet (exported from access).
* I want to copy the values of column AK to A
* Then delete all entries in column D that equal 19, 20 and 6
* Then delete all entries in column AL that equal "A","B","C" or "D" but not "E","F" or "G"
* Then delete entire rows where the value in column A is a duplicate within the list
I will call this spreadsheet, for the purpose of this exercise, the "Master". I now have another spreadsheet with values in that should relate to values in either (or both) columns A and B in the "Master". I need Spreadsheet 2 values to be highlighted as cross checked in the "Master" and then all those in the "Master" that do not appear in the 2nd S/S will be normal white cells thus showing that they need to be chased by our Admin staff.

Eg:The value in Column N 816.323 has 3 rows below each other.Only one has to be there. There can be upto 10 values one after other in this way.
I tried to write a progrma by using loops and cehcking if ther is value in the cell,go to cell below and if there is value, delete the row in a loop of 10 times. But it didnt work

My project looks like this:
I have a report that starts in column "A" and ends in column "J", I created several formulas in each cell, say, starting with column "K" till column "AA" to retrieve multiple data.
Not all formulas get values, there are many blanks. Longitude of the report is variable.
Now, I copy the content of K:AA and paste values only into new sheet. And that works fine.
Problem starts when I want to delete all empty rows in this new sheet.
Seems like after I paste, cells which I see as empty are in fact not empty, but non of them contains neither values nor formulas.
I tried 8 different ways of deleting emty rows and nothing works. They only delete empty rows above the content that I paste.

I have an excel sheet where within my macro i want to delete some rows in the middle of my spreadheet. The number of rows to be deleted can vary so I want to know the code i can insert so it can find the number of rows with data and then delete them.
Currently, i have it working where i go to the top of the data and do End + Down and delete those entire rows. However, the problem is when i only have one row of data then the End + Down goes down to cells i do not want to delete. How can i overcome this?
This is my code to delete the rows:
Range("C40").Select
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)).Select
Selection.EntireRow.Delete
Range("A1").Select
As mentioned, this does't work if i just have one row of data. The data always starts at row 40 but can be only one row or more rows beneath this.
