For each row in Column C, if the text starts with "Calls from service no", it must extract the last word and paste it into corresponding row in Column A. So if the macro finds a cell in Column C starting with "Calls from service no..", then the last word (the last word will always be a number and is seperated with a space) of this cell must be pasted in cell A45. So it must continue for all occurances in Column C. Sample of text in cell = "Calls from service no 0431324345" and "Calls from service no 3242134254" etc.
I also require similar, but this time it must extract as shown below.
If text is found in Column C starting with "Local" or starting with "Long Distance" or starting with "Mobile", only this text, ie "Local" or "Long Distance" or "Mobile" must be pasted in Column B.
Example: A1, I go to school (001). I would like to copy only (001) and past to B1. like that and process to the last row of A1. or I would prefer manual last row.
I need my macro to copy and paste from one worksheet to another, which is fine. However I need the copied value to be pasted into the last empty cell in a specific column. It is currently pasting each copied value into the last empty cell in column 'A' regardless of which column I specify it to copy to in my code.
I am using Excel 2007. I have a worksheet called January and I have a range of formatted cells in 'January' between B15:18 and BA15:18. Some contain formulas, others are just formated to size and or color. I want to copy and paste this range of cells (B15:18:BA15:18) to the next available unformatted or blank cell of the column of the same worksheet by pressing a button. I also need the newly pasted range to reset to their original formatting assuming data was entered before the button was pressed.
I type all the information into the Workbook called 'Form' in ' Sheet 1' and i need it to also transfer into the workbook named 'Master' in sheet 'August 08'
For Instance. It needs to copy Cell C4 from Sheet1 in Form and paste into the next empty cell in column A in August 08 in Master.
All comments/improvements would be much appreciated as the macro I attempted to create solely didnt work at all.
Is this possible using code: Copy Cell A1 and Paste in first empty Cell down Column D. This would be connected to a command button. Both Cell A1 and Column D are on the same spreadsheet.
I am making a worksheet that I intend to use to track my money. When I first open the worksheet, it opens on a tab where I can click a button to report a type of transaction. For example, if I make a withdrawl from the bank for $50, I click the button, it takes me to the sheet that tracks my bank-related stuff, selects a cell and opens up a form, at which point I type in what the transaction consisted of. However, the sheet also tracks what is in my wallet, so I'd like to finish reporting the bank transaction in the form, and have a button to click that reports the wallet part automatically.
So, essentially what I need to do is select several non-contiguous cells that are in the last row of the bank sheet, copy them, switch to the wallet-tracking sheet, and paste them in a row that is one past the last row of that sheet. The paste should keep the cells next to each other, even if they were non-contiguous when they were being copied.
I've searched for a solution on the board and the internet too but to no avail; I am trying to create a macro that will select the entire column based on a cell reference G1 which is infact a Date.
Column G to Column S are pre-defined with a specific Date in row 8. If the Date in one of these columns (G8 to S8) match with the Date in cell G1, say it finds a match with H8, then I want to copy the range F14:F2000 and paste as values in range H14:H2000. The possibility of a match found is limited to a single columns from G to S.
I have column t6:t23 on sheet one that i want to copy and paste to the next available column in sheet2 but it has to start looking for the next available column starting at at row2 because row 1 has column header.
I know this can be done with (xltoright) just not sure how to do it
see attached spreadsheet. In sheet 1 I would like to look up each word in column D, seeing if they are in column B at all. Note if the word "Jill" is in D and "jilly" in a surname in B I would like it to get picked up. I have highlighted manually those that would get picked up. Those that do get picked up I would like to be copied into column C as per sheet 2 (this is what I would like it to end up like). There is a very long winded way of doing this using a find function and 1 column per word but as the actual sheet i'm using has thousands of different words this isn't really viable!
I'm trying to write a macro, and the first thing I need it to do is paste a value into the currently selected cell. This value, though, will usually be multiline. So when I try to do it now, it pastes into the selected cell and the cells below it (one for each line of the pasted value). When I'm pasting manually, I avoid this by pressing F2 to edit the cell first, and then pasting. But how can I do this using a macro? Is there a type of paste command that will insert the multiline value from the clipboard into the selected cell?
I need to copy Invoice id from Column B to Column A, firstly it would be to the cell one down and one across, ie data from B3 is copied to A4. I then need to continue to copy this data down in column A but only while there is a date in column B.
I have a workbook that I have set up some VBA code so that when it opens I have a box ask, "View Data" or "Start New Audit." When the user clicks "Start New Audit" Excel creates a new sheet, names it based on the current date (in yyyymmdd format), and copies a range from a sheet called "Master Sheet" to this new sheet. These new sheets are for users to input data on a daily basis. As that data is typed in, there are four different columns that have an average function at the bottom. I need the result of that average function to be sent to another pre-existing sheet on the next empty row so that I can create a chart out of it.
Please see attached sample worksheet. Column A will be generated by the user manually.
I'm looking for a way in VBA to have A1:D20 in Sheet2 copied and pasted in the "Bank Reconciliation" Sheet based on how many "Markets" there are in Column A. Then, once that's complete to have A22:D30 (the smaller box in Sheet2) copied and pasted directly below those results.
I have what the macro would hopefully generate to the right in "Bank Reconciliation" (B6:E54) as an example. So if there's a market in A1, copy and paste the box to B6. If there's a market in A2, copy and paste the box directly below the first (B26) etc. etc. until it's done, then paste the smaller box directly below whatever the macro generates.
I have rather large Excel file that spans around 245 columns & has multiple users responsible for certain columns. Columns are chunked to provide data about a specific group. Every 72 hours, I need to provide to managers whats currently on this file in a specific summary format.
Ive recorded a macro that gets me half way there. Heres where Im clueless. After my macro deletes unnecessary columns, what remains are the columns for Main Data group + each of the 5 Business groups (Investors, Lawyers, Credit, Finance, and Support) which would have identical column headings.
(1) Name (2) Address (3) ID# (4) Control#
Furthermore, for each of the 5 Business groups, there are 9 slots (ie- a user can enter up to 9 unique entries for a particular group.)
Example- The Investor group contains 9 slots. Each slot will contain the 4 columns mentioned above. So there are 46 slots in total 1 for Main Data, 45 (5 groups x 9 slots) for Business groups.
MY PROBLEM: I need a macro to now cut & paste all data from each of the 45 Business groups slots & then paste at the bottom of the MAIN DATA slot.
The final file would be 4 columns (as listed above) wide. Data from each of the 45 business group slots would be one below the other- all of it underneath the data in the Main Data group.
I attempted to record a macro where Im copying a sections data range starting from row2 to row4000 (I know there will never be 4000 entries. I did this just to ensure that all future data would be captured) then pasting that after the last entry in the Main Data.
Example- Id copy data from Investor1 slot(starting at column E2-H2) & go about 4000 rows down. Then Id press CTRL+Down Arrow key in column A & then click the down arrow one time to take me into 1st empty cell where I would paste my copied data. I was going to repeat this process for the remaining 44 slots.
Ive added some extra entries to test the macro & the problem is that the recorded macro is pasting data in specific cell location in column A instead for looking for the 1st empty cell in column A & then pasting the copied data.
So far I've gone thought the net & tried to paste in a few VBA posts/tips that I thought would work. Here's what I have so far from tinkering around. I need someone to tell me what to replace the xxxxxxx line with. This would be the language to tell Excel to paste copied data range into the first blank cell in column A. I need a way to copy part of contents from a cell, the cell contains product information like size, name and weight of a product, and I need a copy the weight to be put in it’s own cell, here’s a copy of one cell “E65 MAPP SKDV 5 DIGIT 90G ST.K” the information I need from this is “90” the number is always followed by a capital G, but it’s between two and three digits where the lowest is 55G and the highest is 300G. Is this possible?
I have sheet1 that contains the following information
Column A Column B company1 - book value 0,5 company1 - earnings 0.2 company1 - R&D 1111 company1 - total assets 200000 company2 - book value 2 company2 - earnings 333 company2 - total assets 12
So column B contains only numbers and note that for company 2 I do not have any numbers on R&D.
I have in sheet2 only once the company name. I would like now that if column a contains the text "book value" to have the value of column B pasted in sheet 2 column B. Same for earnings to be pasted in column C. R&D in column D and if R&D is not present for that company then the value should say something like unknown.
I have to sort list of thousands name (3000 names) and remove duplicates. My problem is majority of the names have their title (i.e) Prof. Dr. Ir. Sir. etc typed in, so I need to copy the title in different cell and have their name only. Here's what I expect:
Current List ----> Column A -->Column B Drs. H. A. Andrew Boston, MRE. ----> Drs. H. --> Andrew Boston, MRE Drs. H. Andrew Smith ----> Drs. H. --> Andrew Smith H. Abd. Mohammed Junus ----> H. --> Abd. Mohammed Junus Prof. DR. Jane Doe, MD ----> Prof. D --> Jane Doe, MD Prof. DR. Ir. H. Randy Wong, MBA --->Prof. DR. Ir. H. -> Randy Wong, MBA Dra. H. A. Karen Patel ----> Dra. H. --> Karen Patel Drs. H. A. M. Kangkong ----> Drs. H. A. --> M. Kangkong Prof. Drs. H. A. Kareem Saleh, Ph.D -> Prof. Drs. H. A. ->Kareem Saleh, Ph.D Dra. Hj. Nina Schorder ----> Dra. Hj. --> Nina Schorder Ir. Abdul Jabbar ----> Ir. --> Abdul Jabbar
i attach the testing2.xls attachment here. from the sheet 1 "original", how to copy from 1 column, column"B" and then paste to column "A" by clicking function "alt + enter" at the same row but different row in the same cell. Output result can refer to the sheet 2 "output".
In sheet "diary" I have data in certain rows in column A8:C10000 that contains values if a certain condition is met. I need a vba to copy and past only non blank cells in column D8:F10000. I first wrote a formula with index but it takes too long to caculate.
Code: Range("a" & Cells.Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Select Range(Selection, "a1").Select For Each cell In Selection If Not IsEmpty(cell.Value) Then If cell.Value "2012*" Then cell.Copy cell.Offset(0, 5).PasteSpecial End If End If Next cell
I have a to copy from column A some cells ( e.g "000005PR RODI T.R, S.L.") and paste it in column F. The problem is that in column A i have as well empty cells and cells that have date (e.g "2012 02 14-OCT-2011 CN 100725") . Neither the IF/AND nor the "double" if constructs are working .
